Scylla absolutely beamed at the idea of like... having friends she could meet up with regularly outside who were over the age of 11? (Preferably at least 21, but she would manage with 18.) Maybe a actual group of friends? Fancy that! Going out to see a performance, maybe do a movie sometime. Maybe Limosa liked to jog too? Or likes to shop? There were so many possibilities in the wide, grand world of having friends who were also adults.

"Admiral, that sounds fun." Scylla beamed, tugging off a heel to slide one bare foot under her leg as she shifted her body to better face Limosa, settling in for comfort. "Do you still have a lot of water on Limosa? Any ships in the fleet that are in good repair to go climbing on in a grand excursion?" So far she'd found nothing like ships on Scylla, but her people tended to ride creatures, not boats. Vessels could be destroyed, mounts could run, hide, dodge, and split from the group as predators hounded them.

"That sounds fantastic, actually. We can make a girls' night of it- I know a few other friends who would love to make friends with a fellow senshi. Less tentacle-related, but one of them is the senshi of vampires, so it's a good start to a spooky squad." Reaching out with her senses, Scylla couldn't feel any Chaos auras nearby- and she didn't see anyone else either.

The glow that had stroked up her arms and spine, dancing across her forehead, slipped away in a blink. Limosa say on a bench with simply Jada, in a pair of bootcut and bedazzled jeans and a shiny black top. "Admiral sounds fantastic." Jada didn't hide her enthusiasm, rifling through her bag. Of course she didn't have any actual paper in here- so instead she pulled out one of her business cards. Squiggling a tiny stick-kraken on it in purple ink, Jada passed it over to Limosa.

"We absolutely have to plan some 'beach days' as it were and go exploring. Visit a few worlds, wreak some havoc, maybe look for signs of inter-planetary trade or just flat-out neat stuff? I'm getting pro at planning out picnics, and it is surprisingly easy to bring a cooler with you, though actually cooking is distinctly more difficult. I did put a grill in one of the bedrooms in the Temple though, a couple years ago."

Jada was hard-pressed not to clutch her chest dramatically and fall over at Limosa's confession. "Never had a girls' night? I feel like that has been a federal crime since at least the early 2000s." Her voice was only a little gleeful at the idea of being able to plan Baby's First Girls' Night Out. It would be even better if she could make some friends. "We definitely need to get you some partners in crime."

Limosa melted down into an absolutely adorable kid- maybe around the same age as Zora?- and she looked so comfy! Jada had definitely prioritized glitter over comfort in her outfit, but at least the denims were fabulous. Her red-soled heels were definitely less comfortable than the other woman's shoes looked. Ugh, she was just so cute, and Jada desperately wanted to drag her shopping.

"I do!" Jada pulled out out of her bag quickly, knowing exactly which pocket she kept it in. "Sorry, I didn't know if you would want to power down so I thought the card would be easier. I should have asked." She clicked to allow the facial recognition to kick in and unlock her screen, and handed the phone over to Limosa. "Jada, by the way. I know it was on the card, but--" a one-shouldered shrug. "Habit, I guess."

Seeing the blonde seem so enthused about a beach picnic made Jada brighten. "It'll be fun to figure out just how many people I can take with me. I've always wanted to throw a proper beach party on Scylla, maybe have a small treasure hunt. Do a training day- I have some large, flat spaces near the Temple where off-worlders used to land."

Once, she'd thought about trying to rebuild the family she had lost when the Blood Moon fell. Fear of losing it again had halted her, but friends... friends were a family too. And they could train together, too.

It took Jada a second to fix her face at hearing that the girl next to her had a stepmother who was close to her own age. That was just surprising to hear- she'd never encountered a couple like that... but then again, how old could Cherish's father be? Every family had their stories, and Jada was in no position to throw stones at someone else's story.

"We will absolutely fix the girl's night thing," Jada assured Cherish solemnly, "And I have a ton of sampler products we can play with." Makeup was one thing Jada was reasonably comfortable with. "I'm not familiar with doing them myself, if I need something fancy I get a stylist to handle it, but I can stay still like a good canvas. I model some. Did more when I was younger, but I still model parts." When she wanted to, anyways.

Leaning in, she laughed at the introduction. "There are worse names than Cherish to be had. I wasn't very original when I named my little girl either- her name is Hope. It had personal meaning for what she meant to me, but not the easiest name to carry around, I suppose." But at the time Jada had been preoccupied with what she wanted her daughter to be, rather than the trials the little girl might have to go through in the future. She supposed she should just count herself lucky that Hope's grandfather had kept the name when he--

Jada cleared her throat, shoving the train of thought into a box. "I've heard you can do an entire face of makeup using just lipstick, and I've always wanted to try it. None of my stylists have had a reason to, though, so it clearly something destined for a Girls' Night Challenge."

Beaming and leaning back after accepting her phone back from Cherish, Jada said, "At least you have sailboats- my people didn't sail, and there was a LOT of underwater living, so I am sure there are plenty of places and things I won't discover for a long time. Transportation is easy enough, which you'll see when we go." Clapping her hands together, Jada actually wriggled a bit, excited. "I'll have to see who all I know who is still around and wants to do a little adventuring."

"Someone had mentioned you could use liquid lipstick as a mascara, and I vaguely recall one of the people I worked with seething." There had been so much muttering, and a vague curse of 'pink eye upon your entire house' and something that might have been commentary on their parentage. Wrinkling her nose and remembering the pamphlets on never do this with used makeup, the dark-haired woman made a mental note to check that Giulia and Zora hadn't gone digging through the makeup samples without telling her, before any girls' night occurred. "I'll make sure to have a real digital camera on hand too, not just cell phones, so we can get some good pictures of the makeup jobs."

The idea of transporting a ship to her homeworld was... actually pretty delightful. "I can probably get an air pump and some dinghies," she said with a giggle, "Bring your own oar and make a race day. Kayaks might be a bit large, but I can go there twice a week or so, so if I am careful, maybe I can arrange something a little bigger. The rule of thumb so far seems to be things I can pick up and carry, or people. But having a proper ship would be... amazing." Though it wouldn't particularly match the planet's grand history of taming and riding man-eating monsters through the sea. Still, that seemed to be a history that would be staying dead for the indefinite future.

Just like most of Scylla's flora and fauna.

.... Not that the fauna was much of a loss, considering some of the lovely Temple imagery of those scythe-armed fish chewing people in half.

"I think we're a long way from having interplanetary shipping lanes back, not that I imagine they were ever very fast, even when we had them." She couldn't remember how long Andromache had been on the ship, between when she was Awakened and her return to Scylla. But considering that the Gemini constellation was over a million light years from Scylla, it could have been quite a while. Yet the Mau could make MAGICAL GIRLS, so surely they could make.... convenient transportation.

Humming, Jada considered what Cherish had said. Oh, all the samples she had were unopened, but maybe it would be even better to make sure, if something like that was tried, that they even had brand new materials to work with? "We could always do a shopping trip beforehand," she said after a moment, "There are some fantastic places we can get new makeup for everyone, and make sure everyone has the best possible color palette for our makeup chaos. Plus everyone can get the brand of remover they need for their skin. Not everyone might wear makeup, so the shopping in advance will help pick out anything missing."

She leaned forward, eyes sparkling. "And we can pick out outfits to go with our play makeup. Make it a full on, proper, girls night. Hair, shoes, makeup, clothes, and a VIP room just for us at a karaoke bar or something? Or do you think that's too much? And ALL the glitter. People can pick it if they want it. Get photos, get exposure on the 'gram for whoever wants it, have a night of safe fun."

The main flagship was a pirate ship, Cherish told her, and Jada giggled. "Story time. When I was younger, I build a replica of the Black Pearl in my swimming pool, then used my powers to crush it so I could squeal 'release the Kraken'. I actually have it on video somewhere." she grinned. "It was pirates who took Andromache home to Scylla after she was Awakened. We had no engines, and the dreken did not do well out of water, but I wonder if any of our mercenaries worked with your people? The octopus and the Kraken were likely similar, and I imagine my people would have felt some kinship with yours."

"I know at least two other ladies we can probably recruit for this," Jada said, thinking back to Cybele and Genevieve, "And I'm sure at least one of them knows someone else, but that's still four people, a respectable evening out without being overwhelming. And they're both powered, so it will be good to have some extra things in common."

At the thought of saving cash, though, Jada blinked at Cherish. "You let me worry about the financial costs around a makeup shopping spree for girls' night. Clothes and shoes too. I can afford a night of stress-free fun for some new friends." And it wasn't like she had any pet projects that would notice a few thousand dollars missing if she managed to convince everyone who hung out with them to let her buy them some Louboutins.

"Not everyone has to worry about skin type, and I guess some brands focus more on appealing to a larger group than doing right by individuals. I rarely do my own makeup either unless I'm throwing some things on- I used to back in high school, for the day to day, but most the time now when I'm working I have a professional, same for when there's an Event I need to attend." Jada tried to remember what was in her makeup drawers at the houses. "I just kind of buy from habit, now, when I need to do it myself."

Tilting her head, Jada smiled. "I'd love to see it, sometime. And, of course, return the favor. We didn't have a lot of natural islands, but there were places to live under-sea, and there were some creatures so large that people would make temporary camps on top of them." And pray that a Kraken didn't come for dinner while they slept. "Most of our land floated in the air, actually, rather than being properly attached to anything..."

"Trust me," Jada said with a grin, "Any amount of money we could possibly spend on a ladies' night out is worth it, for the chance to relax and have some fun with friends. To heck with diamonds, AMEX is a girl's best friend."

Humming, her dark head shook. "I'm suspicious of most department store counters, I've heard half of them work on commission, so they don't care if you look good as long as you buy." her nose wrinkled. "I'm not really a professional myself, just the model, but I can agree that color is great. But once we line up the rest of our party, I'm sure we'll get some great ideas."

She was absolutely going to make Zora babysit.

"So I'm sensing a girls night and a couple visits 'home'." Oh no, Jada was positively BEAMING with excitement. "We can compare your motifs against mine, go exploring, have a grand old time. And boats!"
