“Oh, we’ll have to see about that,” he laughed pleasantly. “I’m sure there are quite a few who would rather not see me at their worlds at all. I do like to explore. But, I like to recover artifacts as well, and if I’m going as a guest, I have to share.”

He sighed, perhaps a bit dramatically. “But I suppose that wouldn’t be so bad. Part of what I enjoy so much is just the hunt. It’s just, you know.” He gestured to himself. “Businessman, of course. I have to consider profit above all. But, I’d be willing to give it a go, if some would have me. It might be a nice change from the ordinary. Maybe even a good investment, too.”

The Space Cauldron

Miss Kitty appeared thoughtful a few minutes, eyes closing as she considered. He made some good points, and she considered options in her head carefully. Miss Kitty was far from ignorant. No, she didn't really understand technology well; it was generally seen as difficult for her, aside from basiic Earth technologies as opposed to Mauvian, and even them she couldn't tell one how it worked, only how to avoid catastrophes using it and maybe how to use Amazon to order food with paws. Tricky, but possible. However, Miss Kitty did know how to think out plans, to consider options and how to read others.

She didn't always get along with others of her kind -- she was very proud, aware of her age, and she'd raised a litter of kittens without adopting, so she also knew how to handle others well, when she wanted to. Like now.

"I can't promisep/i] you anything, but I do know a number of others whom might welcome the company and a companion whom might know the difference between a valuable, useful artifact and something more mundane." Miss Kitty admitted thoughtfully. "Actually... Actually, I know at least one or two senshi whom might be willing to share, if I can track them down."

That Dubhe girl came to mind, for one. She seemed veryu sweet and kind. Elpis was actually usually open to sharing her homeworld for sure. Miss Kitty hummed, still thinking. "I believe I know a knight whom might appreciate the aide of a keen eye, and she's a good deal more familiar with machinery, if but Earthbased. Or he, I'm not sure what pronouns they're using right now..." Ally was still working that out, but she had her mother, and Tor, and her. And then Miss Kitty seemed to be formulating more ideas.

"Mmmm. Perhaps I might see if anyone has ideas to find others whom might be open to bringing you about? I'd need to look into information sharing..." Maybe Soleiyu might have ways to find more people? He had skill in technology! He might be able to send a mass E-mail or teach her to mass text.... The tip of Miss Kitty's tail was flicking rapidly now, the Mauvian deep in thought.

“Oh,” he said, and all but purred. “You’ll have to tell me if you come up with anything, or anyone. I’ll be here for a while. I’ve got quite a bit I need to get rid of,” he said, gesturing to his wars. “That, and I’ve barely had the chance to enjoy in frivolities. But, I’m a businessman first and foremost, no matter how the city calls to me. Ah,” he sighed wistfully.

“But, I can be patient. You don’t have to promise me anything. We’ll see what the future holds. I hope we get to meet again soon, my dear.”

The Space Cauldron

Miss Kitty appeared thoughtful again before lighting up again, inspired, perhapos, by an idea.

"Mayhaps one might serve to feed the other." The Mauvian beamed. "Sufficient glamours to throw off the authorities and enough could, and you might perhaps entice people into a shop to sell your wares. And if you keep hours you might enjoy times you need not stock to explore. It may take time to gather coin dependant on location, but humans begin businesses often. And it affords a location I can bring friendly folk to you." She was visibly pleased, but she did understand if he wasn't willing. It was a difficult proposition, but one she was willing to offer it.

The merchant seemed patient, although amused at her offer. “You are very passionate, I see. It’s endearing. I’ll think on it, but I don’t like to be tethered to any one place for long. And I’m sure illusions are charming, but I’ll never get used to the way I look while trying to pass for another. But you’re sweet. If I ever decide to settle down on Earth for something a little more permanent, perhaps I’ll seek you out. For now, I’ll just keep as I am. The biggest problem I face is that I just can’t help myself when I find something good. I’ve done such a good job downsizing but, ah.”

He smiled at his collection. “I always want more. It’s too bad I can’t open up a museum and just charge a small fee to invite everyone in to look. Then I could keep everything and turn a profit.”

She wasn't offended by his amusement; actually she rather chalked it up to a minor cultural difference as she listened, seeming to go deep into thought again.

"Some humans establish museums," She admitted calmly, still thinking as she considered. "But perhaps there's some place you can both turn a profit and be yourself. Unfortunately, I don't know where, yet; I don't get into space as often as I'd like."

The tip of her tail thrashed back and forth as she sighed. "That might take some doing to locate... Hm."

Well,” Almadel said pleasantly, “It’s certainly good food for thought. Thoughts I’d have to save for another day, I’m afraid. There are quite a few places I need to visit after I leave Earth. But I intend to enjoy it while I can. Though, I admit. It would be nice to have a place here I could come back to, whenever I liked. A nice, stable shop front. But I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you.”

He laughed good naturedly. “I don’t intend to be predictable any time soon, and I feel rather smothered when constricted to the same old thing. But, we’ll see. You just let me know the next time I see you, my dear. Maybe things will be different then.”

"There's certainly options to let you roam and still sell extra goods or handle a museum, but that is worth thinking over another time." Miss Kitty smiled softly, well patient with things. Not everything worked for everyone and she understood completely his desire to explore, roam, profit, and meet others. She liked meeting others herself, and the Mauvian offered another bright smile.

"Well I'd hope you kept touch at least, long distance or no -- I'm always happy to offer an open ear." He was good people as far as she was concerned, after all, and she liked him already.

“Yes, of course,” Almadel said, still charmed by the Mauvian. “It’s a lot of work. But we’ll see. Something worth thinking about, of course. A shame that Earth isn’t better equipped to handle my kind but there are ways around that, of course. I’ve got a few too many things to do in the immediate future to think about settling down anywhere, but,” he hummed curiously.

“Nothing is impossible, not in this universe. But don’t worry, my lovely little Mauvian. I don’t think I can stay away from Earth. It’s too charming. And there are too many interesting people.”

"Nothing worth having is easy." Miss Kitty soothed warmly, before beaming brightly. "Ah! But perhaps on your next visit, you might come early, visit my companion's coffee shop. They're very good people, and Alex might enjoy having someone to mother for an hour or two, at the very least. They know I wouldn't invite just anybody, either!" She was half purring, just delighted to have a friend now. Friends were important!

Almadel smiled again. “Oh, I suppose I do love a good cup of coffee. The next time I’m in town, I’ll try to plan on doing a bit of exploring. If I can stomach hiding my appearance, I might take you up on that. Ah,” he sighed, and reached to touch his horns again, as if he needed to reassure them that he wasn’t looking forward to hiding them to spare some Earthling’s delicate constitution.

“I’ll tell you what, the next time I’m in town, you come find me. I’ll make it easy, you’ll know when I’m here. Ask me again and we’ll see if I can’t work something out. I suppose it might be nice to actually go meander for a bit. I do work so hard. I deserve a break. Especially if it’s by invitation of a cute Mauvian.”

"Almadel, dear, once you're there we can tell humans you're dressed for a jpb pg sp,esport. My people are very accepting, good, kind people. And we can work out a way to make any hiding as brief as possible. You'd be a guest, Alex will want you comfortable and Ally will likely not mind either." Miss Kitty beamed warmly. "We'll take very good care of you, I promise. You are my friend, and that makes you worthy of the effort." Was she smiling? Very much so! It was warm and kind, her usual tension long since departed to offer the merchant nothing but the warmth she lived around.

"My only warning is, if you left hungry, that's on you. It's a good place. Safe, I promise."

And she was going to ensure it if Elpis had her threatening her... Well, more than the nor, for their banter, when Miss Kitty could locate her.

"I'm already looking forwards to seeing you again, you know. You're a good person, I think." At least, he seemed so to her.

Almadel laughed and sounded further charmed by the Mauvian.

“We’ll see,” he promised again, because he had more than enough to think about, even if he claimed to be set in his ways. “Thank you, my lovely little friend. You’ve made tonight a very good night. I’m quite capable of feeding myself, don’t worry. I happen to think I’m a very good person, I wouldn’t want to do anything to make you change your opinion of me. Though, that being said,” he reached to give her one nice stroke down her back, from her ears to her tail, “It’s getting late, little one. It’ll storm in a bit. You’d best get somewhere dry, I’ve been watching these clouds roll in for a while now. We’ll catch up again next time, I promise. Just be safe on your way home, and until we meet again, won’t you?”

"You are a good person! I know people and I can tell." She nodded brightly, arching into his stroke comfortably, rumbling a bit before looking up,.

"A storm? Ah! You're in for a treat them! Earth smells divine when it rains." She smiled, then stretched. "Please be safe. I would be most angry if someone hurt you." She smiled, and leaned in, bunting him softly before turning and hopping to the ground, walking for the sidewalk home with her tail twitching in a question mark as she walked for home in high spirits.
