Argent nodded. "It shouldn't be too hard, but if you don't feel well, let me know." He placed his hand on her shoulder as they walked towards the cliffs behind the ship. There were ledges visible from where they stood, but there were no clear paths up, as it didn't seem well traveled. "Think you can do it?"

She smiled up at Argent and nodded in agreement, gladly following him around to the cliffs. She was excited...at first...but when she saw the ledges leading up her nerves seemed to catch up again and made her stomach pull in on itself. "...I...may not be ready to yet. I think I need to chew a little more mint for a bit.." Amaryllis wanted to climb, truly, but if her stomach was still not fully settled then she didnt think it was good to risk that making her slip up somehow.

"Hm." If she wasn't able to climb, that would be a problem. "How about hanging on?" He asked after a moment of thinking. "Think you could hang onto my back while I climb?" The area where the herb grew wasn't too far up. It shouldn't be too bad, if Amy could get a good hold on him. "Or we can wait to do this another day." He didn't want to push her into this if she wasn't feeling it.

Amy couldn't help but feel disappointed in herself as she started to chew on a little more mint, staring at the cliff face. How could an upset stomach keep her from doing something that should easily be within her capability? She looked up to Argent in mild surprise when he mentioned hanging on to him while he climbed. She looked back to the cliff, thinking....
"I think I can hold onto you."

"Alright. Try not to strangle me." Argent teased gently as he knelt down. "Arms over my shoulder, legs around my waist. Try and lock your ankles around me." He instructed, waiting for her to do so. He waited until she was secure before standing. "All set? Let me know if you think you're slipping. I won't let you fall." Argent wouldn't forgive himself if he let one of the kids get hurt somehow.

"No promises." Amy looked to him with a half-cocked grin, throwing a tease right back at him. She nodded as he instructed her, arms over his shoulders and locking by holding onto her wrist. She held firmly as her legs wrapped around and locked at the ankles. "Alright, I think I'm good." Amy couldn't help but be a little....concerned. Climbing with added weight on his back would be a challenge in its own right but when that weight was a person holding on? She hoped it wouldn't impede is ability to climb. "....Are you sure you'll be okay?"

Argent stood, taking a moment to adjust and make sure they were both comfortable. He reached for the lowest handholds in the rocks. "I'm good. You're a lot lighter then I expected. The last time I went climbing, I carried a weighted bag that was easily twice your weight." Argent began pulling them both up the cliffs. It wasn't exactly effortlessly, as he made sure he didn't knock the girl's legs against the rocks as they ascended the cliffs. They climbed for just a few minutes, passing ledges with scraggly looking plants, and small burrows of animals until they reached a plateau. Argent pulled them up with a deep sigh. Once they were away from the ledge, he knelt to let Amy down again. They weren't terribly high up, but they were above the top of the ship. Not far from where they were, small patches of the familiarly fragrant plant grew.

She had to adjust when he stood but she held tightly, doing her best not to let her grip slip to his neck. The last thing she wanted was to end up actually choking him. "Twice my weight?? No way..." It wasn't that she DIDN'T believe him but still...really? Amy's eyes only grew wider as she watched Argent start scaling the cliff, observing the places he grabbed for hand and footholds. She tried her best not to move so that she didn't throw him off-balance, glancing curiously at the plants they passed and even at the burrows...wondering what sort of animals made their dens there. Once they reached the plateau and Argent knelt down again, Amy set her feet down on the ground and let go, looking out over the edge at the ship below.
"...Wow..." Her words were almost breathless. A familiar scent caught her attention and she turned to see the mint-like plants growing, smiling as she walked carefully to them and knelt before one of the patches. Her hands ran carefully through the pretty plants, already starting to pick a few stems...but never too many from one patch. "This is amazing....you're really strong, huh?"

Argent could only chuckle at Amy's reaction to the weight he could carry. He didn't think it was a good idea to mention he could pick up Ghost with no problems. He dusted off his hands as Amy walked over to the mint plants and picked a few sprigs. "Maybe we should dig one up by the roots, when we have a container, and bring it down to the ship. See how easy it might be to cultivate it." Argent suggested as he watched her. But her statement about his strength made him pause.
"Uh... I suppose I am pretty strong. I've been training a lot." Was it really so strange? What if something happened, and he needed to carry someone back to safety? He had to be able to do at least that much.
As Amy reached for another sprig, a small, dark brown form darted out of the cluster of plants and ran between her feet and vanished from sight.

"That would be a great idea! Maybe we can do the same with other plants; fruits vegetables....anything that's safe to use for food or maybe medicinal purposes? Maybe we can start a garden...or a farm!" She looked up at Argent with a smile, a glimmer of excited hope in her eyes as she picked the sprigs, carefully chosen.
"Yeah, I've seen you in the training rooms." Amy moved over to the next patch of plants to pick a few more carefully selected sprigs. "I guess I'm just..in awe of you. You're strong, quick, skilled....and I'm still figuring out how to shoot an arrow straight." Of course she wanted to be useful; she was still a child but she could see that they still needed to do a lot.
She almost picked another sprig of the mint plant when she saw something small and dark suddenly run out from the bush. Amy gasped and stumbled backwards, startled yet looking around for whatever it was that she saw. "D-did you see that??"

Amy jumped, and Argent watched her, a smirk growing on his face. "I saw it. Cute little guys." Argent looked towards the cliffs, walking slowly. He quickly scooped something up and walked back towards Amy. "These things are all over the ridge here." He held a small reptile in his hands. It had large, dark eyes, shaded with some wicked looking pointed scales on it's brow. "They're neat. Look." He carefully maneuvered the small lizard's leg to show Amy that it had a fleshy webbing, almost like a wing on it's front legs. "They don't fly, but they can glide. They're pretty docile unless they feel threatened." He sat down so Amy could get a closer look.
As she looked at the creature, Argent looked up at her. "So you've started training with the bow? That's amazing. I don't have the patience for that. I guess I prefer getting up close with my opponent. But you seem like a hard worker, I'm sure you'll master it in no time."

She was picking up the sprigs she had dropped when she saw Argent walking slowly towards the cliffs, watching him curiously. Did he just say 'cute little guys'? Amy stood and placed the sprigs in a pocket of her suit, dusting herself off as she watched Argent scoop something up rather fast...and walked back to her with a little lizard-like creature in hand. She was immediately fascinated by how it looked; the color, the sharp-looking scales over the eyes...and when Argent pointed out the webbing on its leg, her eyes were wide in awe. "Whoa...little gliders." She got closer and knelt down to look at the strange little creature, curiosity evident as she watched how it moved and blinked. "...You know a lot about them..."
When he spoke of her training with the bow she smiled a bit, a dash of color in her face from the praise. "...I'm trying. It's harder than it looks...and you'd think it wouldn't be with two sticks and a string. I've got a ways to go, I mean I can't even hit a target properly yet."

"Yeah..." He blushed a little as he lifted the lizard's tail to show her 2 large scaly protrusions near the end. "They can change direction in the air with their tail." He didn't elaborate on why he knew a lot about them just yet. "And they eat the insects that eat the mint. So these guys are all over the place." The lizard snapped it's jaws once and looked around as Argent held it carefully.
"You know, no one is instantly good with a weapon. And your 2 sticks and a string are a lot more complicated then a pointy stick or sharp metal. You've got tension and trajectory, wind variables... It's a really hard skill. But I know you'll get it."

Amy smiled as she observed the protrusions on the lizard's tail, so curious and thoughtful. They were like...rudders of some sort. So their food source was here... "That's incredible. You must have studied them for quite a while..." She blinked when the lizard snapped its jaws and looked around, stock still like a statue for a brief moment.
"...Yeah, I know." Amy sighed a bit when he spoke of how complicated the bow actually was. "I just...want to get it right...be good at it...and just be good at whatever I can so that I can do something good here."

"Yeah. I actually saved one of these as a kid... I learned how to take care of it and... well... I sort of have a pet." Ghost's reaction to it had been pretty funny. "I've got a large terrarium that I keep her in. I learned, by watching, that the females, while smaller, have larger horns on their brows. This one is a male. Well, I think it's time to let our little friend here go home." He set the lizard down. It waited a few moments before running off and vanishing into the rocks and plants.
"You know, Amy, you actually remind me a lot of myself. I wanted to be stronger, and more useful as fast as possible. I didn't want to be a burden. I didn't think anyone really understood that desire, because at the time, everyone was older then I was." He hadn't connected with anyone his age. "You're already doing good by trying. You're curious, eager, and smart. You're going to do a lot of great things. Just take it one day at a time. One task at a time. Learn to shoot the bow, learn more about the plants in the dome, learn more about your friends. I'm sure you'll find you have skills that compliment theirs." He was sure Amy had to have lots of friends. She was a good kid, and a lot easier to get along with then he had been as a child.
