"Oh spirits. You're something else." Coughed Emiyn with a grin. Bad puns and super strength - was this person really an earthling? Though it was best to keep his homeland superstitions to himself of course. "Right?" Emiyn felt his spirits lifting at the compliment. "It's why I probably get away with more than I should around here." He teased lightly before watching Aurick try the curry. "You really think so? Then that's great!" Despite his best efforts the mage couldn't help his happiness at seeing someone else appreciating one of his favorite meals. It was a strange dish in Belrea and one that others had trouble getting accustomed to so more often than not he was usually left to eat most of the pot himself while they just settled on typical fare and ale.
"Of course you can make it with your own twist but that one is what my grandmother taught me." Emiyn gestured towards the spices. "You can try out whichever ones you like while we prepare the bread? Basically you take the cold curry and wrap it up into buns and bake them in the oven. It's basically soup to go, I suppose." That would be putting it into more Belrean like terms, correct?

Aurick opened his mouth for a moment to let out some of the spice, but found it only seemed to settle onto his tongue. It wasn’t a painful burn, but it was definitely more than the vegetables and potatoes he’d grown up on. He was used to sweet things that needed to be tempered with milk not spice. “Yes, it’s really really good, I’m just a wuss.” This was definitely something new, and that’s what he’d been searching for! Despite the kick he was still grinning and eager to learn how to make it.
“I think it would be nice with some fruit in it. Is that something that people add?” Maybe it was a concept that existed already, but he thought a few bits of citrus might give it a sweeter kick. “Curry in a bun? That’s...that’s actually a really good idea, especially with kids. I could make this in the morning and have it ready for them for lunch.”

"Possibly. You really could do whatever you'd like with it." Replied Emiyn with a small smile. "Some like to add chocolate shavings with spices in there too for a richer flavor. Others prefer it light with vegetables only while chicken goes well with it too." This one was simpler, beef with some vegetables and spices, but Emiyn had tried a variety while living in Oba with his mother for those few months so he wasn't adverse to the more complex flavors. "Most definitely! I think that would work very well for a quick and easy lunch." The possibilities were endless which made Emiyn grin. "If you create something truly amazing I'll have to try it one day when we come back from Kahikina."
"As it is if you'd like to help with the bread we can quickly whip up some and I'll sell you any extra spices outside of those sample bags I brought down for you." He couldn't give too much away after all but either way Emiyn was glad to help someone who seemed to have a really kind heart. If anything it did seem he was really softening up the longer he stayed with this Belrean crew.

Chocolate shavings? Now there was a thought. He supposed it would work though, to balance out the heat, and honestly Aurick was ready to try it. “You really should have been a Chef. Magic is a talent in itself, but food…” He brought his hand up to his mouth and faked a kiss. There was just something about what happened in a kitchen that felt more like magic than a bunch of sparkles. “You should definitely come by the bakery when you’re back from Kahikina. You’ll have to let me show you what I’ve done with the spices I bought.” Because, honestly, at this point, how was he NOT going to buy some?
“I wouldn’t want to waste more of your time than I already have. I would like to buy those spices though, and at least a few more crates if you’ve got them.” He did have a business to think of, after all.

"Maybe." Chuckled Emiyn. "At one point perhaps I would have considered it since I enjoyed cooking with my grandmother but then nature called...literally." The elements really did not want to give him peace until he had learned how to better control his own magic. Emiyn gave a small smile towards Aurick. "That sounds like a good plan. I'll see what I can nab in Kahikina for you as well to try out when we return."
"Fair enough." Emiyn gave a light shrug. "Let me dig out the spices while the curry bread bakes and you can take some to go." That much at least he could do for the other man before he went along his way. After all he would have a lot of time to play with those spices until Emiyn returned. Still, it was nice knowing that he had something to look forward to upon his return to Belrea.
