Ikaika 8

"I was born ready." Ikaika grabbed the nearest spear which not by accident was by the place where he usually was inside their home. He was a thinker it was true. Everything was arranged just so to be the best in an emergency. The most deadly closest to where they were most of the time.

Fool me once....

Ikaika rushed outside, "Maybe we should bring the eels." he called to his mate. "I think they would enjoy it."

Ikaika 9

They set out at full speed for the cavern, they would rest there and reaquaint themselves with their familiars who for the most part preferred their dank cavern home land. A cylindrical spiral dug into the ancient basalt cone of an ancient volcano. It was one of the coolest places to be.

For the first time he had nothing in his life upsetting him and everything to be thankful for.

"I love you Kaiko. I always will."

Ikaika 10

They entered the cave and the eels swam out to greet them and get treats and scratches and their parasites removed. It was a very important ritual shared between the group.

"Are you guys going to make us lots of pretty babies huh?" He grinned and scratched his eel under the chin.

"We will have a surprise for you too in about 9 months. How would you like that? Huh?"

In the end they didn't find any rainbow scaled fish but they did catch a good sized bull and brought it home to feast upon and preserve with quite a bit left for the eels as a reward for putting up with them for such a long time.
