"Yeah, it's really the best case scenario if we can get them to see where they're going wrong," said Sylvite, nodding several times in a row. "Individually, they're not all terrible people or whatever. A lot of them are kind of cool. I'd like to get as many people to join up as we can. We'll definitely be stronger that way."

She didn't really like the idea of killing the enemy at all when they had the option of bringing them over. Even if they fought it at first, they could end up as powerful allies, later. Sometimes it wasn't a realistic thing, and she understood that. It had taken like half the Negaverse just to get Cybele over, and sometimes half the Negaverse had to do other things, but when it did work, they could end up with really good soldiers.

If people would just understand where the Negaverse was coming from, all that would be even easier and better.

"I dunno what I would be in terms of video game comparisons," she said. "I'm not like, a knight, or a healer or anything." Her magic daggers would maybe make her a rouge, but it wasn't like she stole stuff. "I'm Information, like I said. I mostly focus on keeping track of the enemy. I try to figure out who's the big threats and who might might be open to our side of stuff, and I keep track of rumors and try to make sure we have warning if Order's about to pull anything weird again."

"Spy type," she said with a little nod. "Or maybe scout or even rouge. I mean, I got the knives!"

She summoned one with a little flourish. The dull knives that she'd had as a Captain were gone now. These ones were sharp enough to cut through stuff easily, and they were magic, and they were shiny enough that they reflected every single glowstick that was there in Scheelite's office. Sylvite was way too proud of them, and she grinned.

Although it was a little bit too small of a space to be brandishing pointy things in, so she let them go again quickly.

"I dunno," she said, her smile getting slightly smaller. "I mean, I'm all about collecting all the party members we can get, but also, some of them are like, really bad."

She rubbed at her wrist again. The scars there never quite seemed to stop itching, even years later. "Like, the glowing ones especially. I think it messes with their head, and at that point they can't join us even if they want to."

There was a reason that a good chunk of the Negaverse specialized in combat.

“Yeah, the glowy ones,” said Sylvite, nodding quickly if not exactly happily. She didn’t like being the bearer of even more bad news, but at least this was something she knew a little bit about.

“Technically they’re called Transcended. It can be senshi or knights. They’ve been around since I got recruited, but they might be new to you. You’ll know if you run into one, though. Just their auras are a lot.”

Her eyes fluttered shut, and she rubbed harder at her wrist, her thoughts centering in quickly on a certain memory. “Being near them makes it feel like they’re gonna burn your brain out. Then when you see them, there’ll be actual glowing lines and stuff on them, like all that burn-y stuff is trying to leak through their skin.”

Sylvite finally caught herself and folded her hands in front of her instead, grip tight.

“It was one of them who was doing all the interrogations when I got, you know, kidnapped, so maybe I’m kind of biased, but like, all the research says their starseeds won’t take Chaos at all.”
