i wear casual lolita a lot. i've only gotten compliments, smiles, and stares. nothing really negative.
little girls looove to stare haha.
and mothers smile a lot.

we have uniforms at school but on free dress days i try to dress in casual lolita. i get compliments and the word "cute" a lot. :3

i get more attention in my school uniform. walking down the street is almost always uncomfortable in a plaid skirt ;_; honking is scary.

Recently during lunch, I had people yell to me that it wasn't halloween yet... It happened to be the kind of people that come to school in plaid shirts, jeans, and really messy hair...
I was wearing the outfit in my sig....
I didn't hear it personally, but my friend told me, and in my defense she yell the date so they would remember....
I really hate those kinds of people....

I haven't worn anything that can be called loli yet, because I'm waiting for it to get a bit warmer, but I just know people are going to say things about it.

Firstly, I like in Brooklyn, New York. All black neighborhood. So most people won't get it or stare at me. And there are a lot of idiots at my high school. But half the time I wear weird stuff just to hear what people will say. It's pretty funny some days.

Funny thing about that Halloween thing. I've had people yell that at me back inhigh school for wearing black jeans, and a black dress coat (popularly known as a trench coat, but it's really a dress coat) I wasn't even wearing my normal black tank top, I was wearing my work shirt ^^; People are just stupid I vote.

The other one that was my fav. My brother's friend once accused me of being goth (long before I even had the notion) for wearing a blck t-shirt ^^; I was wearing blue jeans at the time, and when I challenged him at his accusation, his only response was 'Well... you're -hair- is black...' Which it wasn't. It's dark brown and I had never even dyed it at that point in my life.

*random* the cat is finding my printer to be of great interest....... She won't quit staring at it.....

It really amuses me when people assume you are "goth" for wearing all black... has thankfully never happend to me, since the goths on the area are easily regognizeable and also it is easily regognizeable that I am not one of them... wearing a black a-line loli skirt (think victorian maiden), black frilly bolero and black plain t-shirt might be "goth" to some, but no one has yet called me a goth in real life biggrin Well, I'm a blonde without any makeup, so that might help to whisk off the goth image.

Sorry if it's a bit off topic, but... It kind of annoys me when people lump goth and gothic together... they are two different things... And the worse part is that the two often get themselves mixed up(which I have done occasionally when I'm kinda into conversation and not paying attention to the detail in my sentances...the later get mad at myself...)

What is the difference?

[ I've gotten stares, car honks, and one kid asked if I worshipped Satan. ]

[ I'm usually very patient with people if they stare. I always respond with a smile. Even if they are giving an odd horrified stare.]

[ My friend Osho dresses Loli a lot better and more frequently than I do. People are a little more rude to her because she's a passive asian girl, but she doesn't really mind at all, because she knows she looks good in it.]

.Le Petit Ecolier.
I was just reminded of something from the other...week. n.n
A friend of mine, an aspiring FRUiT, and I went for a strole one day. Her in FRUiT and I, in lolita, although farely casual. And, unusually, to my surprise, a lot of people yell things out their windows at us. u.u Like, unkind things. ,_,
I.E. "That's ugly!"

So, I just wanted to know what it's like for the lolita wear you live.

That is all.
Thank you. <3

I don't generally dress conventionally weather it's lolita or... whatever.
People will stare at me and sometimes say crap but, who the hell cares.
They're stupid and going to hell and that makes me do this---> blaugh

A lot of my friends compliment me on what I wear. My best friend is a very creative dresser and while she dresses nothing like I do she understands people who dress differently. (Plus we can search thrift stores together.) Also, I've recently started to make my clothes, and I always get compliments for homemade things.

In fact, one of the teachers at my school, whom I've never ever had a class with, told me how my newest skirt was "adorable". It's a poofy black pleated skirt with white lace. I think the only person who makes fun of me is my computer teacher, but being the only girl in my class I'd be damned to that no matter what I wore. Oh, and I've gotten a couple "who died?" comments for wearing all black.

I've never had any bad reactions. People just usually stare a bit...
My friend Kristina wears Lolita to school a lot, and around town and stuff, no one says anything either...

Reactions, for me, are pretty much all over the place.

A lot of the older girls at my highschool always make loud, rude comments, and point at me, saying things like 'This isn't Halloween you f*cker.' And things like that. But at the same time, a lot of girls will admire the fact that I'm not afraid to dress how I like, and come up to me and tell me they love my outfit.

I usually get a LOT of little girls coming up to me and saying 'I like your dress!'
Once, I was in the super market with my father and when we were leaving I had parents trying to pry their kids away from me because they followed me around the store, going 'But we want to go with the pretty dress lady!' Which made me feel pretty good XD

With my style, I'm not always Lolita... I'll alternate between Gothic Lolita and Western Victorian Goth or Mystical/Medieval Goth (I think that some of my victorian goth stuff may be able to pass off as EGA...) and on days I have gym class I'm confined to Tripp pants and t-shirts (ugh! I hate wearing such things!) and I do get a lot of comments on the way I dress.

I've gotten the occasional 'You look like such a slut!' comment when wearing my Gothic Lolita dresses (they're almost to my knees for goodness sake!), and sometimes when I wear my corsets people will ask what the heck I'm wearing or why I'm wearing one of those 'tourture devices' (corests really aren't bad if you lace them correctly and have the right size), but other than that I get all sorts of good comments on my style! Most of the girls in my class think that my Lolita dresses are really cute, and as for my overall style, it's led quite a few suitors my way (though I, being so picky, really havn't had any intrest in any of them... except one... *grin*) and it also makes a lot of people have a bit of an intest in talking to and befrinding me since I don't look like just one in the crowd.
