"...Huh. You know, I hadn't thought about that," he said thoughtfully, sucking on his teeth, "I just kinda... Was thinking about doing it all myself, or hiring people." Vaguely, he wondered if he had control issues, or just plain dumbass issues. "And yeah, you're right about the hype. I'm sure a bunch of my followers would try to scrape together the money to come to my place," he said with a chuckle, "not to toot my own horn or anything." "Eh, they're already dead."

"Heartless, imagine how they felt in their last moments knowing that their fate was to be uh...this," she pursed her lips. You know now that she thought about it fish weren't much better, in fact most animals didn't have a particularly 'nice' fate when all was said and done. Just something about shrimp, or any shellfish even, seemed to strike a chord with her a little bit more for some reason...
Shh, it didn't have to make sense.
"I guess since I'm a cat nearly all of the time it's probably easier for me to rely on others to do things that require," she thought for a moment. "Apposable thumbs, a face, and less fur," she finished. As lovely as it would be for her to be able to conduct her affairs as she was she knew better than that and she really didn't want to be in a position that resulted in others being killed because she had been stupid.
"If someone else can do it right then at least that's one less risk," she smiled. The mention that he could generate his own hype though? Yeah she could believe that.
"I'll be real with you I'm not great at accounts, but I'm sure we could probably find someone who was," she smiled. "Then you could do what you do best, you know?"
She snerked just a little.
"I wonder if we could install an app on the phones for job advertisements, see what hidden talents we've got out there," she pondered. "For all we know we could have the best accountants and lawyers in the whole of DC and we'd never know."
"I tried to install Doordash on it at one point and it didn't work so well, but I'm pretty sure that a custom one would probably work," she added.
"So have you always wanted to open a place or did something inspire you to over the years?"

"Senshi DoorDash-slash-SkillShare? What an idea." He chuckled a bit as he put everything in the oven to bake. "I wonder if we could do something like that, then. Hell, if my profits are good, I'd probably provide a discount..." He hummed softly, starting to wash up all the dishes they'd used so far in making everything. "I've always wanted one, honestly. I pretty much grew up on cooking shows and the like, my parents encouraged the hell out of it... Uh, part of it was kind of watching Ratatouille." He chuckled.

"Hey, you gotta give credit where it's due, y'all run fast," she pointed out and gave a small wag of her finger. "But I always wondered if it would be useful to have little stashes or drones you could call down with candy or energy drinks if someone has gotten hurt by the bad guys, you know?" she murmured. She hadn't given it any real practical thought in terms of implementing an idea of that scale, particularly in terms of not attracting attention, but just like everyone else she did have random musings.
"And you were inspired to open a restaurant because of a rat," she grinned impishly. "So long as it doesn't do any of the cooking in yours and is more the mascot I don't think you'll get in to too much trouble with the authorities," she chuckled. Not that she personally minded animals being around, after all she was likely to get thrown out of a kitchen herself if people weren't aware of what she was, but a wild rat probably needed to get itself cleaned up first.
"I think you should definitely give it more thought," she pursed her lips. "And legitimately ask around, there really could be someone in our little group that happens to be exactly what you need or they might even be able to point you to someone they know," she continued.
"Then you could open it, invite us all over and we could bond on the downlow," she winked. "Kind of like a very rare, unofficial hangout, with the potential to pull in profit and let you do something you find cool."
She paused.
"Although hang out or not you'd best still make them pay, you'd be a business after all and not a charity."

Ryan laughed a bit. "Yeah, no rats in the kitchen, I promise," he said, "even cute pet rats. That's still cross-contamination central. Can't keep anything not for human food in the kitchen, really." He hummed scratching at his neck absently as he thought. "Yeah... No reason I couldn't send somethin' out to everybody about it. See who bites. Sounds pretty cool. And a reason to get folks around to eat and have a good time." Snorting, he continued, "Of course I'd still make them pay, I'm not crazy."

"And get to know others," she smiled wryly. "I know more than a few in this world who could use a few friends and don't have the courage to reach out," she admitted. She might have been a bit of a social butterfly herself, but there were some senshi out there (and probably knights) who had no means of establishing friendships. If there was one thing she did knot it was that the Order could do with a few more opportunities to simply connect, make those friends and more importantly, allies.
"Someone holding out their hand and offering food is always a good start," she chuckled. "It would certainly make me show up," she added and gave a very slight shake of her head.
"Although I suppose you wouldn't want to limit yourself to that so I guess you might need to be a bit more strategic about that. You have to make sure you can attract proper customers and not just folks like me," she mused and pursed her lips.
"Maybe a big, grand opening, then a low key couple of events at your place," she pondered.
A brief pause.
"Probably not something you'd know now but what do you think your ball park prices will be?" she asked curiously.

Ryan hummed in thought, but then the oven dinged, and he focused on getting the food out safely. "Ooh, it smells so good. I'm so hungry," he groaned, setting the pan on top of the stove to cool off and tossing the oven mitts to the side. "...As for prices? Probably like 10 to 15 dollars a dish, depending on the kind of food it is, maybe 20 at a max for a single entree? That's about what I've seen as normal."

"Sounds about right!" she agreed. She was rather fortunate that her blogging and the advertisement funding she received from it enabled her to afford the slightly more costly food, but in general his musings seemed to be around the average. So long as it tasted as good as it smelled, well, she'd certainly be happy enough to sing from the rooftops about this new venture.
...Well, she would when he set it up.
For the time being however she could do nothing more than lean in to take a deep breath, inhaling the food that she was very much looking forward to shovelling in to her mouth in a most uncouth and undignified fashion. Yep, just because she enjoyed food didn't mean that she always ate with the relevant level of etiquette... She was normally at home, no one could see her, and quite frankly most didn't care.
"Is this one of those scenarios where we wait for ages for this to cool down or can I just burn the roof of my mouth off instead?" she grinned.
