♛━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Kuro Lat ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♛ “Damn it, woman,” Kuro muttered under his breath in response to Mira. She was incredibly easy on the eyes; however her temperament left something to be desired. The girl was dishing an incredible amount of shade for being thrown off the rails over one singular comment. There was a part of him that wanted to return a heated response of his own but also, there was the option of taking the higher ground with no response whatsoever. Of course, that option would only be used to appear to be taking the higher ground and retain that air of elegance, grace and restraint with which he enjoyed being viewed with; it would by no means actually be motivated by anything other than appearances. Once Kuro was within his room, he dropped his trousers to take a closer look at the damages. Unfortunately for many in his tribe, they had intolerance for any amount of heat… let alone scalding grease. Even being able to avoid a large amount of the contents of the pan, there was still a considerable amount of burning. Kuro huffed loudly just wishing for a reprieve from the intense burning sensations that lingered across his skin. The young man walked into the common room in nothing but his boxers (made of pure royal purple silk, of course) approaching the thermostat and turning it down by approximately 50 degrees. “That should help,” Kuro smirked glancing in the direction of Mira’s room wondering when she would notice being dressed so scantily all the time. While the intention was initially for his own comfort, Kuro took a bit of solace knowing that it could also appear as if being petty to the others. Back into the comfort of his own quarters, Kuro took out an emergency medical kit which he kept within his dresser. When he made the decision to have a medical kit, he assumed it would be for post-mission care. The young man could not have foreseen this being the reason for its initial use. He applied a soothing ointment over the entirety of the burns before bandaging himself up. “There is no one fighting, you buffoon,” Kuro side-glanced through the slightly open door in their direction while removing his shirt his voice sounding somewhat incredulous. At this point, the damage had already been done; Kuro had no intentions of escalating it any further, lest Mira put him in the ground. Kuro raised an eyebrow at Grimsly before turning his attention back to his closet. “Perhaps,” Finding the right outfit that suited his mood was always a difficult task, “But we are not the same kind of pain… I am more refined as well know.” A canine was easily visible in the toothy grin he shot at the pair. Kuro did certainly enjoy tooting his own horn. He did not mind the reputation that he carried, so long as his arrogance was hand-in-hand with an exuberant amount of superiority and grace. Kuro went silent afterwards intently searching for something that pleased his aesthetics. That is when he heard it… the boy chuckled taking a certain amount of amusement from Grimsly referring to Ocho as calamari boy. Was that normal Grimsly behavior or was Kuro beginning to rub off on him in some unpleasant way. “Let the boy play pretend, peasant. There is no need to squander his dreams; meanwhile, we will continue to do as we please regardless,” he chuckled while finally deciding on a replacement outfit and slipping into the bottoms. “Enjoy your walk, Mira and Grimsly,” Kuro chastised while gingerly stretching his legs to test the lingering pain with his chest still bare showing off his lean muscle. Now, how to get the one remaining occupant out of the room to enjoy some quiet? Profile► Kuro LatPost Count►15 Out of Character►

ӍȊɌɅ ȽΎΝΝMira could just barely hear the knock at her door as Grimsly called out to her, suggesting a walk to put some distance between the two. Perhaps a sensible solution, though, she wasn't really interested in coming out at the moment. However, it seemed her hand would be forced as the air conditioning rumbled to life and freezing air was blasted into her room. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed a pair of shorts and her sandals, slipping them on and opening her door, music still blasting. She slipped by Grimsly and looked at the thermostat. Who in the hell made a system that could drop below 40?! She reset it, though, it wouldn't do much unless she guarded it as she hadn't the faintest idea on how to put a lock on it. If it were an old-timey one, she could have just pulled the knob off, but, like everything else now, it was a digital holo-display."Fine, we can go for a walk and I'll ask how to lock people out of this thing. Kuro, if you drop it that low again, there'll be more than grease and soapy water landing in your lap! I'm not going to risk suffocating simply because you want to throw a ******** tantrum!" With that, she returned to her room and grabbed a burrito before wrapping the rest in plastic and left them inside while locking her door and biting down on the one she'd grabbed as she made for the door.PC: 11OOC:

Ottis Odin Oklei Oakleigh Oakley Oaklee O'donnel Ottoman “Ocho” Team OHMK “Pick a hand and Imma slap you with it.”
“Okay so, wait...” Ocho scratched the side of his head to wiggle his dirty blonde mohawk slightly. His remaining seven hands pointed in various random directions and alternated as he thought briefly. “You dun just admitted I'm your leader and I need to take the aforementioned lead. But then I can't order yous around?” He tilted his head slightly. “Pretty sure you just admitted that I can absolutely order yous around.”
Mira had stormed off. Grimsly offered to go on a walk with her, which forced a small snicker out of Ottis. He didn't mean to, but just the thought of Grimsly, of all people, going for a walk amused him. However, he quickly turned his attention to Kuro. “Do as you please, eh?” He asked before interlocking all forty of his fingers and turning them outwards to crack the knuckles, offering a disturbing sound. “Just try it and lemme know how it works our for ya. Or do you think you can dodge eight books all at once?” He asked as one of his hands reached for the nearest book. Which was a handy little map of the campus at best.

Right now, when we are just resting in our room is not that time” he would say with a chuckle before he got up to knock on Mira’s door After Mira accepted his offering he would wait for her next to the door, looking at Ocho after rolling his eyes and smirked “yes, I am aware of the irony” he said as he tapped his Cain on the ground and left right after Mira left with her boritto. Once the two would be outside he took a deep breath and looked at Mira “let’s have a small stroll around the courtyard, shall we? Breath some air and relax from Kuro’s actions. I am sure it will help” he said with a soft smile before starting to walk rather slowly, he was still crippled after all.

Ooooo, so scary. Kuro would mock Mira within his inner monologue only. Tsk, to equate his behavior to a tantrum while he was simply trying to get more comfortable under the duress which was caused directly by HER. “Hello,” the boy complained loudly throwing his arms into the air while still exposing his naked, upper body, “arctic fox!” Really, was it necessary to point out the obvious like this? How did they pick teams here at Beacon? They must have had the worst scores to balance out his nearly perfect score on the entry exam. Thank goodness, Grimsly would decide to accompany Mira on her walk under the guise of faux support. Kuro would not be able to stand his better-than-thou attitude at that particular moment. He tried to act like he was superior to the others; but at the end of the day – all three of the boys would go where was necessary and commanded of by their organization leader to do the work expected of them with no regard to the morality of their missions. He was no better than Kuro or Ocho; and if he truly believed that he was, he was only deluding himself. “Oh please, Ocho,” Kuro said obnoxiously. “Spare us your theatrics,” the boy remained within the confines of his room. He moved next to his mattress laying down gently onto his side facing away from Ocho picking up the book which he had been reading earlier when Mira had decided to attack him so completely unprompted and uncalled for. Kuro did not have any intentions of staying up much longer. He would need to get some rest before class started somewhat later in the evening.
At some point, Kuro must have managed to fall asleep with drool trailing down the side of his mouth. What had he been dreaming of? Wouldn’t that be an interesting little bit of information but it wasn’t for us to know (at least not today); though there may have been mentions of the open sea and the squirmy delights from within. Fortunate for him, he did not snore! Ocho would have loved to tease him about such shortcomings if he had. There was a sound within the dorm which caused Kuro to stir. While he was not aware, Mira had been moving about preparing for Survival class. She would obviously be the first to arrive but due to her timeliness, Kuro would not be left far behind. Lucky him!
----
After class had ended, Kuro was left feeling exhausted, as well as overwhelmed and downtrodden. He had been covered in mud, humiliated, and his familial heirlooms would take months to recover back to their original quality. Though in the end, their night could have ended much worse than it had… Kuro was grateful that he did not have to spend the majority of his night in the company of that loathsome, delusional criminal organization leader. A god – He must have been delirious; it really made Kuro question whether the money was worth the impact he had. Kuro would try to distract himself by prioritizing a shower; it was very much needed after the fiasco which had taken place tonight. He would set his garments aside somewhere special until he could the get the necessary items to begin mending. It was absolutely magnificent being able to his childhood friend Aya again; it would have been satisfying to be able to request Aya for her assistance considering that she enjoyed this kind of tedious work; however it was obvious that she still held him accountable for their fallout. It could not be helped but perhaps with time, they could mend those wounds. The boy smiled pleasantly to himself while standing in the nude waiting for water to reach a nice, lukewarm temperature. He stepped into the shower forgetting to shut the main entrance to the bathroom. The boy hummed a melodic, jazz tune while lathering his body. God, he hoped Mira did not return too early. He could not deal with her right now.

ӍȊɌɅ ȽΎΝΝMira hadn't been that far behind Kuro, not that she had any particular wish to deal with him, but, she needed to wash up as well. The mucus coating on her body had an annoying habit of just absorbing random debris and, after that shitshow of a class assignment, it was enough in there to make things difficult for her. As she walked in, she noticed Kuro's door open, but, did not look as she heard the shower going. "Not your personal palace! Close the damn door!" That being said, she made for her room, the stereo kicking on and started playing some dubstep at random. As she closed and locked her door, she made sure the volume was low enough to not cause a disturbance and undressed. She grabbed some curved plastic thing, a scraper, though, others probably wouldn't know what it was for, and set out a towel. She was having a hard time breathing now, so, rather than shower off, she began scraping the mucus off her body, putting on a new bikini when done, and climbed into her tank so her body would stay moisturized until the mucus more or less built back up. Unfortunately, for now, she had to stay above the surface to breathe, but, it'd only take an hour or so before she built up enough to breathe properly once more. PC: 16OOC:

Meeting some people that in some ways we're just like him was bliss and he definitely found himself very proud of one particular moth girl, why was she not his teammate? She could have been a very pleasant person to team up with but oh well, he will just have to settle on his current teammates. Speaking of said people, they seemed to have quite the tough time together with being “sold off” and treated like slaves, something necessary but unfortunate for sure, Grimsly would finally get inside and sit in the living room as he heard (and could even see a little) Kuro taking a shower, he simply sat outside and waited for him to finish, thank god he was with his back to him. Once Kuro finished his shower Grimsly waited outside of his room for him to get out, when that happened he would give him a soft smile “so how are things going? Hope you’ll be able to mend that suit as soon as possible, it was quite the beautiful one” he said calmly, while he didn’t care one bit for it he knew Kuro did, and at this point, all three of them (everyone but Grimsly) were probably after one hell of a sh*t show, it was not time to act smug or disrespect them in any way.

Ottis Odin Oklei Oakleigh Oakley Oaklee O'donnel Ottoman “Ocho” Team OHMK “Pick a hand and Imma slap you with it.”
Ocho limped into his team's room following the aftermath of Survival Class. Despite offering himself as a target for his team, he felt himself a failure. Ottis was supposed to have been an example to follow. To have been the one his team relied on for direction. Instead, he fell victim to emotion. Oaklee allowed impulse to direct him rather than purpose and clearly his team paid the price.
Damnit!
Ottoman made his way to the couch and collapsed upon it. Whatever position he landed, he didn't care. It made no difference as he uncharacteristically allowed Mira and Kuro to squabble and turned a blind eye as Grimsly would...Grimsly. Six of the boy's hands grabbed at his own face, and that was all what truly needed to be said.
“Would yous please shut it?” Odin finally spoke, despite all his feelings to not. Some things couldn't be helped. And the repercussions to his words surely rested among them.

Ahh, there she was – his own personal bundle of unnecessarily aggressive comments and misery. Mira had managed to remain obnoxious for the entire duration of their class – big, surprising turn of events from her normal behavior there… oh wait. Kuro chuckled quietly while wrapping a plush, luxurious towel around his bottom half. “Did I make you blush,” he questioned in a loud, playful tone of voice. It was unlikely that she would respond or hear his comment, however. Mira would disappear within the confines of her room immediately playing her insufferable choice in music; a deaf toad probably had a better understanding of rhythm than the producers of that beep-bop, robot generated rubbish. He could only take a silent moment to be thankful she chose a more controlled, respectable volume.
The boy grabbed at his injury while slowly shuffling into their shared living space. Upon their return from the mission, he was forced to visit some sort of emergency care center slowing his return to the dorm which was troublesome at best. The only constructive occurrence from this mandatory health and wellness inspection was a handful of moderately strong pain-killers which Kuro planned to use in its entirety to the fullest extent. Kuro glanced in the direction of Grimsly experiencing a slight and fleeting moment of jealousy being able to breeze through the class with his particular band of crippled misfits. How were things going? What a ludicrous question. Things had fallen apart terribly during their mission. Kuro was overcome with a myriad of different emotions that he did not have the capacity to regulate at this particular moment. The boy took in a deep breath and exhaled deliberately trying to keep his temper even, “A family heirloom! Absolutely despicable, I wonder who I need to get ahold of in order to charge the school for the expense of the materials. It is, of course, hand-crafted using only the finest of materials.”
When Ocho made his way into the dorm room, Kuro stopped in his tracks carefully eyeing his teammate who with a defeated look upon his face and body flopped onto the couch. “Well, well, well… look who we have here,” Kuro looked down at Odin sprawled out across the crouch. The boy limped as close as he could get lowering his body to look Ocho directly in the eyes. “I believe you have something of mine,” his voice was curt and demanding with a hand that was out-stretched ready for Ottis to return his brass knuckles. If Ottoman was expecting some sort of thank you for his efforts, he was gravely mistaken. The lively atmosphere of his team within the dorm still was not enough to preoccupy and distract his thoughts from what was truly bothering him, however.

Mira wasn't in there long before her stomach began to growl. With a sigh, she climbed out of the tank and tossed a black tshirt into the water before pulling it out and wringing it out over a towel and put it on. She then slid a pair of fluffy slippers on and pulled on a pair of plastic gloves. She opened her door to Kuro going on about some heirloom. The boys would see she was tailing water behind her as she made her way to the fridge and started to make herself a sandwich. After all, her shirt was very clearly soaked. "Ocho, if you have his things, please return them. You shouldn't have taken them in the first place or, at the very least, returned them as soon as you had the chance. Holding onto them is kinda a d**k move. And He'll badger you about it until you do so anyway. And Kuro, if your equipment is so valuable that you think there's a reason to even consider billing the school for them getting damaged in an assignment, you probably need to replace it with something less expensive. We're training to fight. You will never fight a perfect fight, no matter how good you get. Equipment will get damaged. Much of it, the purpose is it gets damaged instead of you in fact. You can still be as gaudy and flashy as you want by paying a little extra to engrave or whatever without putting the pricey s**t in the line of fire." The adrenaline had subsided and she was just not feeling too well. It was pretty clear she was undergoing some sort of crash and she was just really tired at the moment. Still, her tone was matter-of-fact and decisive, but, her tiredness took the bite out of tone that'd been persisting over the past couple of days.

The moment Ocho told them to shut up Grimsly shook his head as he knew things are going to get heated again, and sure they did once Kuro asked for his brass knuckles back but… why did he even have them? “I have to agree with Mira here. Ocho, why do you still have his brass knuckles? I don’t know what was going on in your squad so I won’t ask anymore. And Kuro, it was a lovely suit, one you don’t bring into class or combat? Ottis Odin Oklei Oakleigh Oakley Oaklee O'donnel Ottoman “Ocho” Team OHMK “Pick a hand and Imma slap you with it.”
The others would squabble among themselves because of course they would. Typical. Equally as typical would be their dog-pile mentality against their eight-armed Leader. Firstly to approach him was Kuro. Because, again, of course. The Fox Prince all but demanded his property back. Property with which Ocho used to probably save his life. You're welcome! Before Ottis could even get a word in, Mira approached to “break them up” and commented for him to return the property. Too, Grimsly would make a similar comment.
Ottoman wasn't in the mood. He rose to his full height of 6'7” (200.66 cm) and stared down at the three before and around him. His mohawk, once bright heckin red, now rested a more faded shade and a bit disheveled thanks to the debacle that was Survival Class. “For starters, I did not TAKE anything!” O'donnel defended himself. “Your weapon, Kuro, was tossed to me. And I do recall using it to save your damn life! So a little gratitude is in order perhaps?”
Odin glanced to his other teammates with a frown, addressing them with the same disdain as with Kuro. “Excuse me for being too preoccupied with pulling your collective asses out of the fire than to give his majesty his stupid toy back. So here you go.” Ocho used three of his hands to forcefully shove the brass knuckles back to Kuro, hopefully causing him to fall over or at least to inflict some pain as he did so.
Following a heavy sigh, Oakley found himself unable to deny the “offering” by Grimsly. “Very yes. Despite recent happenings, I think our performance in Class calls for a beer or three.”

“Gratitude? Hah,” Kuro laughed loudly in the face of Ocho. “I remember telling you that I would have been just fine on my own,” the boy reminded him harshly taking a step back giving the depressed boy some space. “Do not take YOUR failures out on me, charlatan,” Kuro poked and prodded the bear waiting for some sort of response. “Thank you,” Kuro called out aggressively feeling somewhat justified with Mira and Grimsly responding defending Kuro and his stance. That quickly backfired on him as Mira appeared to be in some sort of mood, “I would not badger him… probably… maybe.” Kuro narrowed his eyes looking somewhat offended and sounding indignant. Everything quickly spiraled out of control even further downhill and out of Kuro’s favor. “I was prepared to fix the damn things,” Kuro said defensively in a rather high-pitched tone. “I could not have foreseen the disaster that was Survival class tonight,” the boy referred to being doused in dirty and muddy water, as well as the large cat shredding their clothing beyond repair who was ON THEIR very own team, amongst other things. All things considered; the boy was more than likely justified with how the class did not even explain what their mission was before embarking, though the likelihood of being reimbursed was slim to none. He shook his head with frustration toward Grimsly and his unnecessary assuming advice.
Oh, the aesthetically displeasing creature was attempting to lash out! He had some fire and fight in him. “Who is acting like his majesty now,” Kuro teased the boy. He caught the brass knuckles being shoved in his direction as best as he could. There was very little initial pain, but it did cause him to fall back on his injured leg making him grimace. While internally cursing and huffing about with an attitude, Grimsly gave him a spectacular idea. It was as if the boy had read Kuro’s mind. That was exactly what he needed! Kuro required something to alter his mental state and take his mind off things, and he had just the recipe for disaster! This could become some sort of nightmare or surprise everyone becoming a pivotal bonding moment for their team (not that he had that alternative on his mind whatsoever). Kuro slipped the painkillers from his pocket twirling them around in his hand, “I will have to take a pass but thanks for the offer dear Grimsly boy.” Withdrawing to his room, the boy pulled something from the confines of his closet before shuffling back into the shared living space but not before popping one of his pain pills. He used nothing but the finest of whiskey to wet his throat while swallowing the medication prescribed to him. After making his way into the living space, the boy revealed his prize to the others in an offering of peace. “Would anyone care for a drink,” Kuro smiled warmly but this was a once in a lifetime offer, they were unlikely to see again. “It is quite easy to get when you have an absurd amount of money,” the boy winked in the direction of Grimsly making a play on his very own words. As it turned out, Kuro could be witty and personable when the moment suited him.
“My man... err, sort of, I guess,” Kuro smiled brightly playfully cracking Ocho on the back. He was honestly surprised to see this side of the boy. Sure, they all shared some extra-curricular activities of questionable nature… He just always forgot because of how dull and boring they seemed on a very superficial level. “Anyone care for a perc,” he offered while sitting on the arm of their couch lifting the open container up for everyone to view. He assumed that nobody would be interested; however, he had already been surprised once tonight. Kuro remembered Mira on the other side of the room… She seemed quite drained compared to her normal spicy self. They could not have that! Their dynamic was not quite the same without the fiery, passionate, argumentative girl who did not mind throwing a punch around with the boys. “Care for a drink,” the boy offered to Mira with a calm and even voice, almost inviting.

Mira eyed Kuro as he denied the possibility of him badgering Ocho. She didn't say a thing in response, but, the glance told him clearly that she knew that was bullshit. "If you were prepared to, then there's no need to be reimbursed. You already had what was needed set aside in the event it was required. But, again, the nature of our training involves handling the unexpected on a mission. Still bullshit we had gone in blind, yeah, but, s**t happens you can't plan for." Ocho was next to get the look from Mira. "Ocho, stop it. You had to help Kuro out of there because of an injured leg. I held my own, Aya didn't even make it out, and the one doing most of the damage was a pregnant woman. At least, way she acted makes me think she was. She kept focusing on protecting her stomach it felt like. And s**t went downhill after that guy showed up. He was beyond our capabilities. If the four of us going in as bait had remained in decent shape, maybe we could have taken him working together. Not as things were though. She didn't sound judgemental or angry when she spoke, more simply just tired.
When Grimsly made his offer for beer though, Mira finished with making her food and took a bite. Kuro had returned to his room and came back by this point, brandishing a bottle. When he offered sharing, Mira cocked a brow. This was not the Kuro she knew. It seemed so backwards from his normal character, she felt a bit creeped out. When he turned to her more specifically and offered, she shrugged and opened the cabinet. Digging to the back, she pulled out a sleeve of plastic shot glasses. Pulling one for herself, she held it out. "See, this is an improvement. I know I've been bitchy lately. You kinda picked a really s**t time to push my buttons though. So, don't take things too personally, kinda my time. But, you behave more like you are now. Thigs can be a lot more peaceful on this team."
