Tac snorted slightly, uncertain if he was more put off or amused by this woman's reactions to his process of choosing which attire to purchase. He had only ever had one session where he was given advice and input on what to buy and wear in a clothing shop, and that had been years ago back on Yael. Funnily enough, that had also been someone he had barely known. "I believe that anyone who would wish to be my spouse would enjoy my choices as they are." A spouse for him was a laughable idea anyway...

His lips pursed with consideration before he shook his head. "No, I do not. There are enough colors out there that I am always able to find some combination to work with whatever I have chosen. There's no need for a favorite to restrict myself to. If we must, I have no distaste for the colors I currently have on." Oh, but now she was asking even more questions, and he looked at her blankly. What was this? "I enjoy reading... but what does enjoying food have to do with clothing? You are making this a much more complicated endeavor than it needs to be, are you not?"

Adenah made a great show of groaning and leaning over a cloak display. "You're killing me; no really, look, blood is just seeping out into my hair." She 'weakly' lifted an arm to run her fingers through her scarlet hair much to the amusement of the proprietress. The seamstress was busy working on her own pieces, but since the store itself wasn't that big she couldn't help listening in.

Instead of focusing on his lackluster opinions Adenah instead turned her attention to the available pieces. "Everytime I ask you a question you don't have an answer or you complain." She groused. "All I'm trying to do is figure out who you are so I can find the right outfit for you. Case and point; when you look at me you can very easily tell I like red and I don't really care much about what anyone else thinks, right? Or that I actually like attention."

Adenah lifted a top off the table and held it up for inspection, "What about this? But in a darker, more muted color?"

The woman's dramatics were met with a flat and unamused slide of Tac's eyes. "I can see that you are suffering." Did everyone expect so many details on his life in order to fulfill the narrow margin of importance that clothing resided in? Perhaps it was an Oba thing?

"Confusion and complaining are two different things." How was he supposed to know that shopping involved so much? It had never been such a demanding issue before. To be fair to her frustration.. he had been in Oba for a number of years now. There had been plenty of time to at least explore the fabric shops that he had just never bothered with. This might be a sign of a larger nudge that he had been needing to get out into the world.

"You are implying that wearing red means you like attention and disregard what others think? ..So, red is a rebellious color?" Was he getting that right? Did everyone else know this side of fashion?

Despite his behavior, he still stepped forward for a closer look at the offered top. "I appreciate that the sleeves can be rolled up," he observed, "but would anyone really take me seriously in such a flashy pattern?"

"Sort of. It's a flashy color; something that attracts attention whether you want it to or not. Especially when I visit with my family in Jauhar where it's not as common." While he was in Oba it was more so the cut of her clothing rather than the color that brought eyes her way. Of course, more often than not it came with a flurry of comments about her weight and what she should/should not wear but Adenah didn't really care about those sorts.

"Okay, sleeves are a start, and if you ordered it custom made then you could get it without as much pattern. I don't think that would be a problem, right?" This time she turned her attention to the proprietress who shook her head in agreement.

Tac's nose wrinkled slightly. He certainly didn't want anyone giving him undue attention. "It seems that red is not for me, in that case." He hesitated for a moment before pushing himself the tiniest bit. "Even without knowing what it supposedly means, the red suits you quite well." In part, he was just making a point about how the visual was more important than the meaning; but the girl did have a strange charm that warranted at least one nice thing said to her for her services~

He noticed the seamstress for the first time, eyes drifting back to the top at hand. "I had custom ordering recommended to me once, but that was long ago. I can see how that does make the options a bit more open to interpretation."

"Oh yeah?" Adenah was kind of shocked, to say the least. She hadn't been expecting a compliment from him, but it hit in just in the right way. The young hybrid's face turned from momentary shocked confusion to a broad grin. "I think so too~"

Adenah held the top up to his frame and tugged a little on the sleeve so that it followed the crook of his arm. "All of my clothes are tailor made. Mostly because you can't find my size in a shop, but also because I get to add personal touches. Like, for example, right here near the waist-" She pointed towards the hem of the shirt, "-you could add a secret pocket for herbs."

He instinctively pulled back the slightest bit before relaxing again, much like when she had taken his arm outside. While being a doctor meant he got up close and personal with many people, he was still rather set in having his personal space to himself outside of the job. He found himself looking the woman over and snorted. "I see no reason for shops to exclude what would fit you. You appear to be in fine health." Perhaps she was extra curvy, but even he knew enough to not point that out. Many a patient had tried to give him sass for his observations, and she was certainly no patient.

"I certainly would not keep herbs in a pocket... but the idea of the pocket itself is good to consider." He pursed his lips slightly in thought. Perhaps... "If you would assist me further, I am also looking to purchase a sweater for my brother as well?" He doubted his brother would care too much about the details, but he could use the help while she was there and willing.

"Exactly! Thank you!" Sure she ate a few more pastries than her sisters, but what did that have to do with trying to dress proactively? Adenah knew damn well she wasn't a snack; she was an entire meal and there was no reason not to let everyone know it.

"Sure, I don't mind." Was his brother anything like him? If he was then at least she would have someplace to start. "When we're done looking here there's a little vendor the next street over that has these second hand items from Tale and let me tell you they are so soft-" Trailing off, Adenah continued to look through clothing options. It was nice to do something relatively normal for a change. Here lately her life had been flipped on it's head and for now the world seemed a little less chaotic.

Who knew all it took to get there would be a little shopping trip with a yaeli.
