Alatar Silver  Alatar was caught of guard as she holds the book up to him and he reads the cover and then recovers quickly. "Oh learning about elementals." He then smiles a little before returning to his own book and starts reading again then looks back over at her. "Not much of a talker I understand,i am not much of one my self." He adds as he works on gathering his books and stands up,then something catches his eye and as he looks to a shelf he sees the book he was looking for and walks over to it and pulls it down with a grin on his face before going to find the librarian. "Miss I found it and i have a few others I would like to check out."

She walked over with a confused look on her face. "Why would it be there?"she asked before walking over and inspecting the shelf. She did not have a clue and covered her face in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry for the trouble. I must have put the book there by accident. Bea lowered the book a little as he was talking and watched him a bit. She took a deep breath in and then placed the book flat down on the table.
Uh...I...
I cannot talk to people...
She inhaled and then closed her eyes preparing herself to talk to him like she would have to prepare to talk to anyone else. He didn't seem like a jerk or someone that was trying to be mean. He seemed genuinely kind and just conversation didn't phase him as much. She takes another inhale and then exhales ready to speak.
Yes! I was curious about the cook he is an elemental.
She said spaztically then opened her eyes to see he had already walked away....
Well he's gone but other than that, job well done! If he was here you would have carried on in an unimportant conversation. That's how people make friends, right?
She thought to herself a bit. She smiled slightly almost ready to pat herself on the back and then looked back down at the book.
That wasn't so bad. Maybe, next time someone talks to me on the drop of a hat I can do it. I almost did. I'm going to take this as a win.
She thought again touching her warm blushed out cheeks.

Alatar Silver Alatar heard what the girl form the table said and as he walks back to the door he stops back by her and gives her a small smile. "Will I hope you find what you need and if you need help feel free to ask me for help." He says holding out a hand and another Ice rose forms and he puts it down in front of her. "Names Alatar Silver nice to meet you." He says warmly as he puts the books he got into his bag but due to the size of the book he wanted he had to carry it.

Suddenly Bea felt less brave now that she knew he heard her. She watched carefully as he made the rose and put it in front of her. She looked at the rose for a long second then looked up at him. She was fearful as to what he was thinking.
Nice. He's just being nice. People are nice sometimes. I can assume that he's a nice person. Nice people talk to people. Nice people don't judge you on the dumb things you say...But I say some really dumb things...
She sulked for a moment then noticed she was blankly staring at him as she was thinking then darted her eyes back to her book.
He gave you his name, if you want friends you have to exchange names. Wait what's my name again? Beatrix! Bea for short. That's all I got to say.
After a moment of pretending to read she nodded to herself and looked up at him then closed her eyes.
B...be...
She sighed and hit her head on the table.
I have no idea what to say...what do friends talk about? He offered to help me with elementals but what does that even mean!? I'm so afraid I'm going to get stuck in a conversation that I'm making the worse parts I fear come to fruition...At least he probably thinks I'm a freak and this will never have to happen again. At least with the cook or the Librarian there are topics I can stick to like food or books. I have no idea what to talk to this guy about. I can't even talk to him about elementals cos I just learned about them today and still haven't been able to read a single sentence because I was so focused on this unknown person's thoughts!
She thought rapidly then sullenly looked at the rose and smiled at it to say thank you. She hoped it was a good enough thank you since she was refusing to make eye contact with him again.

He says warmly he could tell she was fighting her self just by looking at her and he gives her a small bow with a warm smile at lest the warmest he could muster he didn't want her to keep this fight up so he would leave her alone. "Will till we meet again." He says before he turns and leaves to go find the headmaster to get his dorm room. -exits-

Bea looked at the rose then at the librarian's rose.
I guess this is his idea of a nice gesture? Maybe he's odd like me.
She thought thinking it's weird to leave ice roses everywhere and looked to watch him leave. She smiled and looked back at the rose picking it up.
Alright! That's a good sign. I've decided he'll be my first friend.
She nodded to herself and then quickly got up trying to rush over to the librarian to ask her for a book on friends and how to maintain them. She accidently caught the tip of her food on the edge of the table falling over onto the rose.
s**t...
she said as she lifted her body off the ground hovering over the shattered rose.
In fortune telling that's a bad sign.
she said looking defeated again. She positioned herself so she can pick up the pieces of the shattered rose. Once she had all the pieces in her hand she put them in the front pocket of her back pack. She stayed on the floor and scooched under the table reaching up getting the book she picked out and began to read it again.
Maybe I need to work up to having a wizard friend.
She thought looking at the front pouch of her bag leaning the book and her head on her knees. She stayed for a little while reading then got up and headed to the section she was sure to find books on friends.

Bea looked at the librarian. She sighed and then nodded.
I just need...books on friends...
She said quietly and glanced over at her bag. She came out from under the table since it was a weird place to be. She looked around Vivian instead of in the eye. She was already very embarrassed and felt she might have to go to sleep after this. This was taking a lot out of her.
I'm just going to have to call my parents and ask them to take me back home. I can't do this. I am not cut out for living around people.
She gulped and continued to look indirectly at Vivian.

Bea sat down and took a sip of the tea. When she realized that she was going to be talking about friends instead of actually reading on them she was a little less talkative.
OH NO! A normal conversation. I'm not sure she understands my predicament
she looked at Vivian and smiled awkwardly. Vivian was a staff member and therefore she was there to not judge so maybe it was better that she started with someone she could not fail with...even if she did fail.
Well...um...you see...I'm just...Oh dear...
She looked at Vivian again and though she was able to talk more than she did with the other fellow she was still nervous. she shrugged a little with her meek smile and then gulped erasing it.
I can't even do this. I know about books and I can talk about books but this is a whole different skill set.
She thought looking a bit grim. One might assume she had deeper routed issues than someone that simply doesn't want to talk.

After a bit of quiet, Vivian passed a note over to Bea, "How about this?"Was written on the paper. Vivian made sure she was not seen by Bea at all, completely obscured by the large tomes. Bea smiled at her and nodded. She took the pen and paper and was not sure what to write but writing was a million times better than hearing herself talk. She began to write on the paper and was a little less nervous to talk this way. she paused for a moment and sighed crossing it out.
Sorry, I'm not sure what to say or write but this is better than nothing. I can't talk directly to people a lot of the time. Them looking at me with their full attention is very disturbing and I cannot seem to speak. I was also taught that conversations have goals and to not just say things unless I knew what it was going to be about because I could accidently say...
The words were still on the page but she was still not sure what she was writing was worth hearing about.
I don't know what I'm doing here. I should go home.
she simply wrote and then put the pen down. She looked away from the page and Vivian.

She said under her breath quietly.

I find looking at someone’s forehead helps me talk to others. Because it looks like you’re looking at them in the eye. And conversations, they can be about just anything. Any topic you enjoy. Making friends is about sharing interests with others and having fun together. I know you love books, and so do I. So we can be friends if you want.
