Yes - the future of the isle. Hesperia puffed up proudly at that reminder, scooting closer to her sister as well, then made to reach out to hook their arms together, smiling happily.
Although, she gave a prim little huff when Wangui got a little carried away. "Strongest? You're going to have some competition there, sister." Hesperia announced brightly with a roguelike grin, reaching to pinch at her sister's cheek. "WE will be the strongest. We'll be so tough, no one will EVER worry about extremists OR earthlings getting too close!"

Oh yes, twin terrors they would be. So close they would predict each other's attacks and make sure both wouldn't get hurt. Wangui linked her arm with her sister and sent a bright grin her way.
"No one will be able to take us. We will be as strong as an army, as swift as the wind in the trees and brave enough to face even the biggest of rock fist monsters!"
Her serious tone broke out into giggles as she thought of the rock hands once again.
"All I'll need is you by my side and I can take on Tendaji!"

Hesperia was both impressed and utterly tickled by her sister's lyrical words, and she pursed her lips to fight back a laugh. Of course - that was broken the moment Wangui broke into laughter, because then SHE started giggling, leaning helplessly into her twin's side as she snickered.
"That's gonna take a loooot of practice though." She pointed out astutely. As it was, Hesperia was a passable archer, and her spear work was shoddy, at best. She was far from the whirling dervish with blade that she hoped to be, whne she grew up one day.

Wangui smiled brightly at her sister, content that she had someone in the world who understood her enough to laugh like this. She butted her shoulder against her sisters before letting out a sigh.
"Guess we better get to work then?" She said in an uptight voice in an attempt to match the Alkidike who taught them.
"We can only get better by practicing, right?"
If she wanted to get to the point of a great warrior, shed have to work hard each and every day. Wangui was ready to practice until her arms couldn't lift, and then practice some more. It was only right, considering they were the future of their tribe.

Ughh. Hesperia whined just a bit, but nodded, nudging her sister back with her own shoulder. Practice was tough - she didn't like blisters on her hands from holding the sword hilts, or the welts on the inside of her arm from the bow, but there was a reason their people were considered so powerful. She wanted to be like the Alkidike raising them - strong, beautiful, powerful.
One day.
