Championship Soul 2018
Night Sixteen - B Block

Dylan Farr vs Revy LaFlare
-Neither King nor Matt showed up for their tag match, so it was just a singles match between their two partners
-Revy def. Dylan via pinfall with the Combo Breaker

Serenno & Akiren Kurumiya vs Vince & James Caputo
-Akiren def. Vince via pinfall with a Riverfina Special
-After the match, Serenno got on the microphone while Vince was being attended to by medical staff. Mockingly, Reno mentioned how shitty a month Vince has had with injured ribs and decided out of the goodness of Reno's heart, he was going to offer Vince a shot at the title. Serenno put his belt on the line against Vince for their final A Block match, since neither could win the whole thing. It was clear Serenno was not taking Vince seriously because of his injury.

Mike Landry & Jeffy C. vs J-Money & Crestwood
-Landry def. Crestwood via submission with the Figure of Perfection

Raj Delrey & Dodge vs Domino Ando & Arisaka Taiga
-Domino def. Dodge via pinfall with the Sunfall

Kelsey Warden & Tallah vs The Bloody Stampede
-Kelsey Warden def. Jonathan via DQ when Jonathan blatantly red-misted her
-After the match, Vash and Jon completely decimated Kelsey and Tallah, laying them out with move after move and using steel chairs when the women tried to fight back.
-Jon got on the mic and told Kelsey, who was flat on her back staring up at the roof, that before the Tournament, Jon made one guarantee to her and the world and that was that the Bloody Stampede was going to embarrass Kelsey and Tallah, and now that they have, the only thing left for him to do is to go into Night Seventeen of A Block and keep Kelsey from winning, ending her pathetic and stupid tournament dreams once and for all. Jon then spit on Kelsey.

Championship Soul Round 8 Matches
B BLOCK

Grif [10] vs Proto [4]
-Grif was doing very well managing to keep Proto's strength in check with some fluid counters and wisely getting out of the ring whenever Proto got a bit too much momentum
-The climax of the match came late, near the time limit, when Proto accidentally clotheslined Kai, the referee, knocking her out. Grif hit Proto with the OOA, but Kai was too hurt to count the pin. When he tried to pick her up and rouse her, a figure dressed in a black hooded cloak clocked Grif from behind with a kendo stick, and then hit him straight on in the head with it, busting him wide open.
-Proto [6] def. Grif [10] via pinfall with a Proton Bomb after Kai revived and very slowly counted a 3 count, still hurt
-After the match, while walking up the ramp, the figure in black's hood fell off and was revealed, of course, to be Sephiroth.

Dallas Cruz [8] vs Railery [8]
-Dallas started the match by cleaning a little dirt off of Railery's mask with her thumb, leading to a "mom please you're embarrassing me" from Railery, to which Dallas said "Not yet, I'm not, sweetie" before hitting Railery with a belly to belly suplex
-Railery didn't take it easy on Dallas at all, hitting her with a couple of hard kicks to chop her down to her knees, but missing the #Finisher when he tried to put her away. Dallas caught him and stood up with his legs still around her neck, and turned it into a powerbomb.
-Railery went for the Gravity, landing the splash on Dallas, but Dallas, inhumanly, wrapped her arms around Railery and rolled up to stand during the pinfall. She then continued to bearhug Railery until he went limp in her arms, and with all her strength threw her step-son up into the air, catching him on her shoulders with an Astral Projection
-Dallas [10] def. Railery [8] via pinfall with an Astral Projection
-After the match, Dallas fireman's carried her son out of the ring and to the back to bake him some cookies

Jayce Myraj [2] vs Marx [8]
-Jayce started the match by putting his legs up in the corner and relaxing. When you only have 2 points, you can live life however you want to, it seems. Marx tried to get him to actually wrestle, since he could still actually win B Block even if Jayce couldn't, but Jayce didn't seem interested. When Marx got close, Jayce rolled over Marx's back and scooped him up for a school boy, which Marx NARROWLY escaped
-Marx and Jayce jockied hard for position, Jayce with something to prove afterall, as Marx tried many times to catch him off guard with a Superkick but Jayce always had an answer
-Marx went up to the top rope, and Jayce replied by running up on there with him, only for Marx to throw him off. But Jayce rolled up to his feet and hit a huge leaping knee to Marx's face, almost knocking him out of the ring
-Jayce [4] def. Marx [8] via pinfall after a Drop Zone

Sephiroth [9] vs Nate Navarro [8]
-Sephiroth made his way out to the ring with pomp and circumstances, thinking he was assured victory in the block now that Grif could not outright beat him in points, but he still has to get through Nate.
-Sephiroth does not disrespect Nate, using his full strength from the get go to try and put the Darkstar away as soon as possible, but when he went for the Meteor Drop, Nate stood up, catching Seph's leg on his back and pulling him up for an electric chair, the position for the Star Shatter!
-Nate [10] def. Sephiroth [9] via pinfall with the Star Shatter

Kurast the Eliminator [5] vs The Monitor [8]
-The Monitor gets on the microphone when Kurast is announced as The Eliminator and asks him a very serious question. "Are you a super villain now?" Kurast asks for the microphone in reply. "If I am, YOU CREATED ME." He then dropped Monitor with a Key Drop, but as the first move in the match it only got a 2 count
-Monitor struggled against Kurast after that first strike, but managed to get his momentum back after Kurast flubbed a GORE into a the corner. But his time was cut short when he went for The Shining Wizard on Kurast prematurely, and Kurast intercepted him with THE GORE anyway
-Kurast [7] def. The Monitor [8] via pinfall with THE GORE

In Ring Segment
Kurast gets on the mic and rolls Monitor, gently, out of the ring. "I AM KURAST THE ELIMINATOR!!!! GRIF! I AM COMING FOR YOU NEXT!"

Post Show Interviews
Jayce Myraj: "Life is short man. No reason to be stressed about losing the tournament as long as I can beat the jerks who don't deserve to win either. Bye bye to your hopes at winning, Marx!"
Railery: "I can't believe I got destroyed by my mom's new finisher. What? No you can't have a cookie! ... They're mine ... For doing such a good job."
The Monitor: "Well. s**t. I guess I should have seen the signs. I mean they literally announced him as the Eliminator! Definitely shoulda seen that one coming."

Championship Soul Round 9 Matches
A BLOCK

Kelsey Warden [14] vs Jonathan Leves [4]
-Vash the Stampede and Tallah were ejected from ringside before the start of the match by Kai, the referee, something a robot ref would not have done
-Jonathan was firing on all cylinders as far as being aggressive, laying into Kelsey with hard kicks and straight punches which was drawing a lot of heat and criticism from the referee
-Kelsey managed to clear the air between her and Jonathan by hitting him with a Whiplash DDT on the ring apron, both falling to the outside
-Jonathan went for the red mist late in the match, risking a disqualification to do so out of shear frustration, but Kelsey avoided it and rolled him up for another near pinfall
-Kelsey was up on the top rope and Jonathan came up to join her, accidentally kicking the referee while on the top, knocking her out of the ring briefly. In that moment, Kelsey suddenly sprayed a BLUE poison mist into Jonathan's eyes, causing him to yell out in pain and fall out of the corner onto the mat
-Kelsey Warden [16] def. Jonathan Leves [4] via pinfall with the Medusa's Hammer
-Kelsey celebrated on the mat, as she had punched her ticket and done the work to win the tournament, it now depended on the outcome of the main event.

Raj Delrey [10] vs Domino Ando [6]
-These two are familiar with each other due to their history overseas in tournaments like these. They both observe a few japanese pre-match traditions before beginning
-Very strong-style, a lot of strike trading and fighting spirit on display as both try to wear the other down with thudding kicks and forearms, rocking each other silly several times
-Domino Ando [8] def. Raj Delrey [10] via pinfall with a Sunfall

Mike Landry [8] vs J-Money [2]
-Landry takes his time at the start of the match, while J-Money, defeated, is forced to watch Landry slowly take his entrance attire off in an obnoxious piece by piece manner
-When Landry turns around to give the time keeper his entrance coat, J-Money suddenly runs up and hits Landry with the Cash Out!
-J-Money [4] def. Mike Landry [8] via pinfall with the Cash Out!
-J-Money runs laps around the ring screaming in victory while the fans applaud him (for the first time in a long time) for breaking his losing streak against an a*****e

FFA World Championship Match
Serenno © [8] vs Vince Caputo [5]

-Serenno throws Vince around and uses plenty of suplexes and back breakers to take advantage of his rib injury
-Vince takes advantage of a mistake that Serenno made going to the top rope, out of his element, and crotches Reno on the top, and pulling him off with a cutter
-Vince's major moves start to chip away at Reno, but he can't capitalize because of his injury
-Vince goes for the ASAI DDT but Serenno stops him midair and uses sheer strength to turn the move into a Cr0wned
-Serenno [10] def. Vince Caputo [5] via pinfall with the Cr0wned, and retained the FFA World Championship

In Ring Segment
After the match, Serenno holds the World Championship up high while Jada gets into the ring to cut a promo about how great her fiance is, but her microphone doesn't work. She switches it out for another one, which works at first and then cuts out as well. When she goes to get a third microphone, the lights go out. When the lights come back on, Jada is behind held back in the corner of the ring by Ashalar Voidstrider, while Serenno is locked up tight in a Dragon Sleeper by a hooded figure in the ring. Serenno thrashes around, when the figure starts to swing him around in a circle, with the choke still applied, and when he stops spinning, Serenno has gone completely limp. The figure picks up the World Champion and then slams him down on the mat with a Torture Rack Cyclone. The man takes off his hood and cloak to reveal himself as Serrick Rowe, a recent free agent who is coming off an insanely successful run in J.A.P.A.N. and considered to be one of the best wrestlers in the world right now! Serrick looks at Jada, still being held back by Ashalar, and then gives her a theatrical bow with his arms outstreched, foot planted on Serenno's chest. Ashalar releases Jada, who goes to her fiance's aid, while Serrick and Ashalar leave.

Kelly King 2.0 [9] vs "The Storm" Matt Shanahan [14]
-Big fight feel for the main event. Matt Shanahan has to win the match in order to advance, otherwise Kelsey will advance instead. Adding to that King and The Storm's legendary rivalry reignited
-Matt doesn't appear early on to be entertaining the idea of WRESTLING King, trying to stuff all of his takedown attempts, and throwing King around the ring. King seems determined though, getting frustrated by this but not giving up on his plans
-Matt went for a running boot on King but King dodged, Matt getting hung up in the ropes, leading to King hitting a chop block and spending a good five minutes beating the dog s**t out of and working Matt's leg
-King kept working the leg as much as he could, including wrapping Matt up in the Twisted Flow, but Matt would not submit to the hold of course. Matt made it to the ropes and dragged King out of the ring, but King managed to hold the Twisted Flow the whole time. Using the nearby announce table to pull himself up, Matt finally ripped his legs out from King's grip and then dropped King with a Seventh Act onto the corner of the table rather than a turnbuckle
-King had to survive a lot more violent physical moves, ocassionally assisted by Matt's bum leg, such as Matt not being able to get King up for a chokeslam at first, and then doing the slam onto his bad knee, causing just as much damage to himself as to King
-Finally at the end of the match, Matt got fed up with King's perseverence. After a Chapter Four, Matt pulled King over to the corner and up to the top, hoisting him into Gory position for the Last Corner.
-King landed his feet on the middle rope when Matt rotated him, and then picked the massive Storm up off the top and rotated in midair, hitting a super Atma Weapon
-Kelly King 2.0 [11] def. Matt Shanahan [14] via pinfall with a super Atma Weapon
-Both King and Shanahan lay on the mat completely wiped out by the ending of the match, but the reality is that King prevented Matt Shanahan from advancing to the finals of the Championship Soul.

In Ring Segment
King finally makes his way over to a corner and sits in it, watching Matt and just waiting. When Matt finally rouses from the Atma Weapon, he slowly but surely gets to his feet, and sees King sitting in the corner, his music still playing from the victory. Matt walks over to him and King does not attempt to flee as Matt, with only a small limp, pulls King out of the corner and picks him up for the Toss. Holding King over his head, King resigns himself to his fate after beating Matt out of spite, but after a long moment, Matt just dumps King back down onto the ring mat gentle and swears audibly, before leaving the ring.

Post Match Interviews
Kelsey Warden: "I worked so hard for this opportunity, and I punched my ticket. I've got the momentum on my side and I am going to Final FFAntasy to win the tournament and become the first FFA wrestler with a Championship Soul. If you had asked me if I would be in the place I am now a few months ago, I would have been skeptical but... even if I don't win the whole thing, at least now I know that there is still a place for me in the upper tier of wrestlers in FFA."
Matt Shanahan: "Congratulations. That's all I'll say about anything that happened tonight."
J-Money: "I DID IT! I AM THE GREATEST! I NEVER LOST FAITH OR CONFIDENCE IN MYSELF!"

Championship Soul Round 9 Matches
B BLOCK

Marx [8] vs Sephiroth [9]
-It was generally understood that this match should be first on the card, since it would likely dictate whether or not Sephiroth would interfere in literally every other match to assure his block victory.
-Sephiroth, gloves off, was very aggressive with Marx from the get go, but Marx was the perfect opponent for Sephiroth considering the situation he was in. His role as the "sheriff" in FFA means that its on him to prevent stupid nonsense like constant interference. By beating Seph, he could ensure a fair and just final night of matches.
-Marx [10] def. Seph [9] via pinfall with two superkicks in succession
-After the match, Sephiroth was seen leaving the arena entirely, having been mathematically eliminated

Jayce Myraj [4] vs Railery [8]
-A match all about jockying for points, it was suitable to have two young guys like Railery and Jayce going against each other in the final round, but ultimately the match was the least important of the night for the crowd. That being said, Railery still managed to scare everyone by landing directly on his neck taking the 8th Evil Ex from Jayce.
-Jayce [6] def. Railery [8] via pinfall with the 8th Evil Ex

Dallas Cruz [10] vs The Monitor [8]
-Prior to the match really getting going, Dallas and Tanuki did the Tanuki Dance while Tanuki was on the apron and Dallas was in the ring. They had a decent laugh, but then Dallas hit Tanuki with a big boot to take her out of the match
-Determined to win, Dallas baited the Shining Wizard from Monitor several times when she was on the back foot, catching his leg each time and putting him into various submissions or throwing him around with a capture suplex
-Monitor, on the other hand, wanted to win as well because he's just a competitive and honorable dude that everyone likes. If you don't like the Monitor, you're not a good person, to be honest. Dallas picked Monitor up for her new finish, the Astral Projection, but Monitor wisely wrapped her face up in his cape to distract her, which led to him hitting a Shining Wizard on her while she was standing. Dallas kicked out at two amazingly.
-Monitor went for a second Shining Wizard while the cape was still on Dallas' face, but she suddenly stood up from one knee with Monitor on her shoulders, lifted him up and planted him with the Astral Projection
-Dallas [12] def. The Monitor [8] via pinfall with the Astral Projection

Nate Navarro [10] vs Proto [6]
-Proto would relish nothing more than to take Nate out of the tournament, and he let Nate know that when he clotheslined him in the back of the head during Nate's entrance
-Proto hit Nate with the Proton Bomb on the outside, the bell still having not rang, before throwing him into the ring to start the contest
-Proto continued to beat the hell out of Nate throughout the match, until Proto caught a knee to the face from Nate, starting Nate's comeback. Nate punctuated his comeback with a Penalty Kick to the back and then a Penalty Kick to the face, which Proto miraculously kicked out of
-Proto went for a Super Back Suplex on Nate, but Nate landed on his feet with Proto still in the corner, allowing Nate to grab him on his shoulders and plant him firmly with a Star Shatter
-Nate [12] def. Proto [6] via pinfall with the Star Shatter
-Due to points and tiebreakers, Dallas Cruz was eliminated by this victory.

Grif [10] vs Kurast the Eliminator [5]
-A year long feud between Kurast and Grif culminating in the most unlikely of places, as Kurast seeks to eliminate Grif from the Championship Soul tournament for the benefit of others.
-Grif and Kurast have wrestled so many times this year that they know each other intimately, and it showed in their work. A Grif victory would undo all the work of the others tonight, and Kurast put every bit of strength he could into the punches he knocked into Grif's head to prevent his win
-Kurast went for the Gore too early, and ended up spiking himself on the corner as per usual, turning around into an OOA, but Kurast kicked out. Not only did he kick out, he kicked out at 1, revealing his evolved imperviousness to Grif's finishing move
-Grif, in a panic, attempted to tamper with the Refbot on duty, but as he did so, Kurast GORED it like a freight train, turning it into bits and pieces. Kai the Referee replaced it, eliminating that strategy as well.
-Grif finally hit Kurast with another OOA, but it once again did nothing for him to win the match, as Kurast immediately stood up from the OOA and hit Grif with THE GORE, knocking them both out of the ring.
-The matched ended in a DRAW by double count out, when Grif struggled to return to the ring and just before he could slide in, Kurast hit him with another GORE, straight into the ring steps, knocking them both out. Both are awarded a point.

In Ring Segment
Kelly King 2.0 comes out and announces offically that the final round of the tournament will be between Kelsey Warden and Nate Navarro at Final FFAntasy I. He also announces that a Bronze Medal match will be held in addition, featuring the runners-up in the two blocks, making official a match between "The Storm" Matt Shanahan and "The Black Magic Woman" Dallas Cruz. King then has Kelsey and Nate come out to the ring to sign the contract for the match, which they both do and they shake hands.

Post Show Interviews
Dallas Cruz: "So I didn't win the tournament... but I'm still going to get exactly what I wanted. Life has a funny way of working itself out. You might say its a sort of like magic."
Kurast: "And thus, the Eliminator hangs up his cape... until next year. Actually, I heard that the Lord of the Ring tournament is single elimination. Imagine the havoc the Eliminator could cause..."
