He kissed her sweetly on the cheek.

Okay so she could get a bit feisty somedays, he would never be too bored anyway.

He meant as much to her as the sea did, thus her willingness to leave it periodically to venture with him into the desert to their other home.

He no longer worried about the past. He lived entirely in the present moment and that meant bliss.
He rested a hand possessively over her adorable spotted belly, only very slightly swollen.
He wanted to know what she would look like all round and bumbly.
