↞ Yatomura Estate ↠⊀ Murder of Crows ⊁ ┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒ The six guards outside the darkness had their weapons raised and aiming, but were holding their fire for now. Knowing they still potentially had a few of their own in there was leading to some caution. "Hold your fire men," the peacock would command but all guns would still be aimed to the darkness. He didn't want to risk firing on his own men, but he also didn't want the intruder getting away; he had worked here long enough to know the guy was at the staircase and could go up. He tried to relay a message to those above but it seemed the signal wasn't going through. Staring into the darkness, he was mentally resolving himself on what to do next; and what risks he was willing to take. Meanwhile, Akuryo had thrown his bloodied knife towards the two in darkness with him. Unbeknownst to him, till then at least, but the lion faunus' aura was just about spent; his aura breaking as the knife hit though it only hit him in the arm. He growled in pain, pulling the knife out and tossing it to the side. Bleeding himself a bit. The guards outside held fire for now though; despite the smell of blood they were under orders. It did distract the two in; both swinging in front of them but finding empty air. "Reveal yourself, we have you surrounded," Roland loudly yelled as the duo advanced; trying to listen for the intruder. The others on the outside were getting antsy; they weren't given orders yet on what to do and had no clue where the intruder was. Before the captain could issue another command, two knives flew out of the darkness; one headed towards the rabbit and the other the human. Both flew and hit their targets, but with the guards ready for an attack it hit their auras. It did startle them and a bullet did go flying in; hitting off the rhino faunus aura as he yelled to hold fire. The peacock faunus watching this unfold before him; knowing their was a good chance the killer could escape at any moment and they were fairly helpless. He would hear from the dog faunus that he couldn't identify individual scents well due to the smell of blood. He would sigh and issue a command; "Spread out and fire," he would order in an emotionless tone of voice. There was some murmuring of disbelief and so he re-issued it as he took out his own pistol; "Fire," he would issue with a yell as the six guards on the outside drew their firearms and fired. However, the bullets he fired were special and not aimed where he expected the killer or what remained of his men; his was aimed at the staircase with an earth dust. Earth would form and plug the upper reaches of the staircase; preventing the killer from going up hopefully. He knew his task as captain of the guard: protect the Yatomura family at all costs. Even at the sacrifice of his own men. Everyone would fire till their clips were spent; 6 rounds each person. Aside from the captain at least who only took the one shot, and had now loaded another dust round. The two faunus in the dark were caught off guard, having no expected such an order. The wolf faunus went down as he did not have enough time to react before a bullet hit his chest followed by a few more. The rhino, having a bit of aura left, survived long enough to drop to the ground as his aura also broke. His voice drowned out in gunfire as he tried to yell to stop; feeling more than hearing his companion fall besides him but as he went to reach out and shake him he found him entirely limp. What would Akuryo do? ((Distract them for as long as you are able) ┕⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┙ OOC: Hold off the guards.

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'
Akuryo kept low to the ground as he watched the first knife land in the arm of the Lion Faunus. He was being quiet with his slow steps over the dead human body while he looked to the men outside the darkness. The order to hold fire kept them stable before his next attack, taking in the situation as the Lion and Rhino were attacking nothing but air as they were advancing. Before his Y-formation knife attack, he could see their antsy feelings and the captain readying another order before the attack went through, startling them to shoot as he looked to see the Rhino getting hit by a bullet. 'Fear, that worked to make them uneasy.... except the captain from the looks of it.' He thought while he continued low to the ground, slowly moving along the floor while he heard the Dog inform that they couldn't deduce who all was inside due to the smell of blood emanating from the area. He didn't expect however, the Peacock to issue an order to fire into the darkness. He went still while he was remaining low, unable to hear all that happened expect a sudden explosion and once all 6 main rounds from the five people were done, he slowly raised himself. He looked back slowly and saw that they had gunned down their own Lion companion and the Rhino's aura had faded out in the darkness.
He thought for a moment on what he would do before he grinned, slowly moving to position himself between the Rhino and the Peacock before he soon used a butcher's knife to tap the floor where he was. In a quiet voice towards the Rhino, in hopes to try and get him to act irrationally, he spoke. "Too bad for the poor Lion~" He didn't say much more, instead he looked to behind the Rhino and stood up as he threw it in a wide spinning arc, the target was the Skunk faunus to try and catch it off guard. He hoped it had the thing Skunks were known for, otherwise he'd have wasted a surprise attack with a large knife. Instead of staying where he was, he made sure to quietly sidestep incase the Rhino charged or the Peacock shot behind him.
--------------------Meanwhile--------------------
Castallen's eyes and ears were on point as he could see the man drawing the crossbow and a click prepared to fire. He slashed the air before him, hitting the bolt out of the air with ease as there before him was a gleaming translucent veil of light. Clawed out of the sky as if he tore open space before he placed his right hand behind it and thrusts it forward just as the Ghost was charging at him. "Baited me closer huh? I can fight both short and long range as my speed knows no match!." Castallen spoke as he noticed the man deftly duck under the thrown light to slide towards him. His left leg got kicked out from the momentum he had and he landed on his left knee, grunting before he brought his left hand up, using his claws to try and fail a swipe as the spectre seemed faster getting behind Castallen. With his golden aura covering him, the hidden blade found damage from the brief glows to protect against fatal stabbing. But Bakal indeed moved, his wings flapping very quickly as launched himself up and landed down, the mancatcher hitting nothing but air as he pulled away. Bakal glared him down before he spoke. "Castallen, you must be wary, this man has the instincts of a murderer with the words he told us." Unlike Castallen, Bakal was a patient warrior, slowly bringing the Mancatcher before him as it was collecting building electricity, having not attacked since he coated it with his semblance, it had time to charge before he thrusts the weapon towards Ghost, at a distance of 10 feet between the two, a crackle of lightning shot out, ionizing the air as it wasn't aiming for the body, instead it was attracted to the metal of the blade and was aimed to disarm the man if he didn't have the aura up. If the attack hits aura at all, the Ghost would instead be pulled towards Bakal by 5 ft. Should it miss, a random object would instead be blasted to bits with the parts flying towards Castallen and Bakal. The semblance name of Bakal was simple, Ionizing Waves, capable of erecting electric wall barriers or conducting lightning to drag something or someone towards them. Castallen's semblance was obviously called Arctic Aurora, the light itself was a false gimmick, his strikes could freeze the air into thin yet strong sheets of ice that he could launch or block with as well as erect a 'glimmering' wall of ice and aura.

'This is going to be tricky,' he thought to himself silently. He was glad he had gotten rid of the crossbow though as he saw the man launch translucent veil of light to him. Thankfully, Ghost almost always had a contingency and rarely were his attacks ever straight forward. Having already been charging to him, and close enough already, he smoothly transitioned from running to sliding towards the canines legs. His words were satisfying to defy as Ghost kicked out his left leg from underneath him, sending him to the ground. 'Clearly not fast enough for me,' Ghost thought amusedly to himself. If the faunus relied on speed, then feints and using speed against him would only work more in Ghost's favor as he made a mental note of it. Moving to transition from counter to attack, Ghost would dodge the flailing attack from Castallen to strike at his exposed back. Getting a few hits on his aura as he aimed for vital spots on the man's body; testing and weakening the man's aura for the time being. Unfortunately, his fun at outmaneuvering the wolf was cut short. Hearing the flapping of wings, Ghost would dodge roll himself away shortly before Bakal would strike; rising to his feet in a fluid motion as he looked towards the two. Bakal would warn his companion to be wary, and that Ghost had instincts of a murderer. To which Ghost would give a smile, shrugging with his hands as if to say 'guilty as charged' expression. Ghost wanted to press the attack but he noticed the growing electricity on Bakal's man catcher...caution holding him back for the moment as Bakal was protecting Castallen.
Having distanced himself a bit, given the reach of a mancatcher, Ghost would watch as the man thrust it towards him; instinctively dodging back to stay out of reach, as he wasn't prepared to go closer quite yet. He had not expected it to have the lightning shoot out towards him. Bringing his arms up in front of him, he would block the attack with his weapon and aura; but begin to feel like he was yanked towards them now along with the pain of being zapped. 'Damn it,' he thought to himself as he had to think quick to react to this. He wasn't sure if pulling away or trying to move back would be wise; the man catcher had reach and he doubtlessly expected Ghost to try so. No, instead he had to use this to his advantage. Somehow. He had no smoke bombs, his crossbow was too far away, and he had 1 light gravity dust left. Getting an idea, given how big Bakal was, he would have to time this right. Using a bit of slight of hand as he stumbled to him, pulled closer by his lightning, Ghost would have the light dust crystal in his left hand. Rather than stand his ground, or run away, Ghost tried to recover his foot and jumped towards Bakal in a tackle. His intent was to smash the light gravity dust so it would hit both of them; but hoping his momentum and speed would allow him to send Bakal back at least a few more feet if not more. And potentially disorient him with the light gravity.
If it worked, and he was able to land, he would give a swift kick towards Castallen before trying to move back to his crossbow. If it didn't work...well, he would deal with it when it came to it. ☽☾☽☾ Post Count: 84 ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃Out Of Contracts:

↞ Yatomura Estate ↠⊀ Murder of Crows ⊁ ┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒ ((Distract them for as long as you are able) Given the hail of bullets that just occurred from the guard, standing in a semi-circle formation around the darkness to limit friendly fire to those outside it, Akuryo's footsteps would go unnoticed as their ears were not adapted yet to catch them. They would all wait, whilst reloading, for any further commands from the captain. During that period, the Rhino would speak. "We have a casualty, but I don't see him. It's the Bloody knife!" the rhino would yell out, wanting to mourn for his friend but having no time to with his aura out. Not sure if he would survive this encounter, and knowing none of the others had seen him, he yelled out the only thing he had recognized of the man in the brief time where he could actually see. Hoping it could help the others with subduing him. The rhino would find his attention drawn by the sound of Akuryo's knife, as would the peacock as well, but he held did not issue any commands for the moment. As Akuryo spoke, he enraged the rhino. Seeing a chance to potentially get his target, he would rush forward and try to catch him in a wide hug as he was throwing the knife to the skunk; not wanting to waste any time. If Akuryo wanted to dodge it, he could not afford to move slowly. With the knife he had tossed over his shoulder at the skunk, he would catch the skunk by surprise with the knife; she was on one of the ends of the semi circle, and just barely brought an aura covered arm up to block it as it would bounce off while doing a bit of damage. Caught by surprise, she would release the thing skunks were known for as a foul odor spread into the room. Many of the guard would be left in a coughing fit, with the captain having to supress a few himself from the odor. The peacock would be annoyed by this, as it effectively ruled out scent as an option, but he had learned something at least from the rhino. It was the infamous killer; Akuryo Bekwood. That would explain the darkness,' he thought silently as he tapped on his ear piece. "Seal all entrances and cut the power, now!" he would say commandingly into his earpiece. While they had some humans on their squad, they had a lot of faunus; and Akuryo was human. While he had that darkness as a semblance, he shouldn't be able to see any better in actual darkness. Or so the peacock was relying on; he didn't want to waste time playing things his way. Loading a dust round, he would give the order. "Fan out and surround the darkness. Fire water dust round into the ground in it. Lets see if he can stay silent and hide in there that way," the captain would order, while loading a lightning dust round into his gun. He hoped the rhino would be smart enough to leave before he did what he planned. Akuryo would hear/see the shutters on doors and windows come all across the room just before the lights cut out. Once everyone was in position and had fired the water dust rounds into it, whether the rhino emerged or not, he would fire a lightning dust round in there to electrocute the water. It would spend most of the dust his team had on hand, besides his own, but if it could detain him it would be ideal. ┕⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┙ OOC: Hold off the guards.

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'
Akuryo heard a female gasp as he could hear the wooden steps of the heavy Rhino as his voice caught his attention. Mentally, he cursed himself as he didn't hear the peacock issuing orders and with that, he held his breath and kicked away near the last moment, rolling towards the slab that was near the lion's corpse before he took a deep breath. He had made more noise but the foul odor began to fill the room as he then heard something coming from the earpiece of the Lion. He could make out the word power before he saw the power suddenly cut out. He was just as blind as his foes were in the darkness as he cursed and reached out, listening while he rummaged the nearby corpse while remaining off the ground. Soon, he heard the order and many footsteps as he harvested the Lion's Baton and his Flashlight while he watched the floor become coated in water. He looked to see that the Rhino had stopped his initial charge as he was exiting the darkness. He made note of the formation while he looked into his equipment, he was running low on his knives and then he got an idea. He was near the end of his Darkness, as he remembered and slowly turned around, pointing the flashlight back as the slab of Stone help protect him from the electrifying ground for the most part thanks to the elevated earth.
He stuck the head out of his darkness and turned on the light, bringing a bright light into the darkness before he turned it off and moved to the edge of the Dark covered Slab of stone. 'He won't play my game..... so it's time to keep them on edge..... lead them to what I want before it runs out.' He thought to himself while looking back to the pedestal and flashed the light inside towards the Pedestal itself incase the Rhino was near it getting electrocuted or not before he turned the light off again. The brief flashes of light helped give him sight and while his darkness did not work on electronics such as flashlights, it's light was the only thing visible to anyone when it was flashed outside of the darkness and only visible to Akuryo and whoever was in the darkness.
--------------------Meanwhile--------------------
Castallen had been downed to a knee and winced as the ghost came at his back and was slashing at him before he was chased away by Bakal. The wolfman would be in the process of getting back to his feet, his eyes narrowing on the speedy b*****d while he shrugged off the statement of Bakal who called him out on their instincts. It's not like they were any better but they were hired guards rather than honorable warriors.... at least that was how Castallen saw themselves as a team. "Instincts or not, it's been way too long since we've had someone who could match me and you. So let's just enjoy this Bakal!." Castallen told his comrade before he entered a combative stance with a smirk on his face, his clawed hands flexting while he watched Bakal's attack and semblance activate. The wave of lightning from the Mancatcher was in the process of bringing the spectral man close as he fought back, with Bakal's solem gaze fixed on him before he spoke. "Don't try and fight, you'll hurt yourself doing so!" He warned, yanking back with the Mancatcher before he noticed the Ghost moving faster towards him and with a focused glare, he released the catcher from his right hand and would aim a hard right elbow to the back of the Tackling Ghost. Talented in strength, if the attack hit, he would be trading blows and would be affected by the light gravity dust while Castallen would dash towards the Ghost as he was landing, and proceeded to perform a double kick, aiming at his gut to push him up higher and get him to a vertical position in the air before his left leg glowed with aura. Castallen then proceeded to try and kick the Ghost towards the Crossbow he left behind with a wave of glistening ice shards following afterwards to try and keep him pinned.

Less so for what his mind would plan and more so that he would never give up that easily. He wondered why anyone would willingly surrender or if anyone had actually listened to him in such a scenario. Ghost had been hoping to catch him by surprise, but he was ready this time; seems he was no longer under estimating him for the moment. Though this was where Ghost had underestimated the duo. Bakal had reacted fast to his tackle, managing to a hard elbow to Ghost's back that made him gasp in shock and pain as his aura flashed. Also afflicted by low gravity, he would be sent down with a Castellan coming up swiftly to try and contribute to it. He was a bit slower though; the power from Bakal's hit combined with light gravity dust had gotten him to hit the ground much harder with the air knocked out of him. Hearing Castellan rushing in, Ghost would force himself to roll and try to rise to move away in time. As he would try to rise was when Castellan would kick him up into the air; not as hard a hit as he planned but still enough to do what he wanted. As Ghost was coming back down he would notice the glow on Castellan's leg. Knowing he couldn't really stop or alter his trajectory, he could only settle to deal damage or lessen injury to himself. As Castellan's kick was coming in, Ghost would fire his grappling wire to ensnare on his leg and pull hard as fast as he could. His plan was, since Castellan was going to kick, to catch him off balance and make him fall over with his kick missing. His own landing would not be softened as his light gravity dust would run out, and using the grapple line, Ghost would land atop the fallen guard roughly. There would be a slight awkward moment where Ghost was recovering from his own fall, even if expected, before he would try to act quickly. 'They certainly aren't making this easy,' he thought to himself silently as he went for a left punch to Castellan followed by a stab towards the guards leg; for the moment not worried about cutting the line as he was trying to even this fight out. He would try to keep his hearing alert for Bakal to try to get away if he were coming for him, but his eyes were on Castellan for now in an effort to weaken the guy enough or knock him out; anything to get him out of the fight quicker. ☽☾☽☾ Post Count: 86 ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃Out Of Contracts:

↞ Yatomura Estate ↠⊀ Murder of Crows ⊁ ┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒ The rhino let out an irritable sigh at having missed Akuryo, not knowing just how close he was to catching him before a foul odor filled the room and distracted him. Coughing loudly from it, but not drawing any fire for the moment. The guards seemed trained well in holding to the peacock's command; for better or worse given the measures he seemed to take. For now, it seemed in the benefit of the rhino faunus as there was no stray bullet to him; or perhaps it was just because his coughing was pretty distinctive. As the rhino heard the peacock begin to order lockdown essentially, he felt some relief in that he doubted the killer will get away. His companions death would not be in vain. He was a bit disoriented on what he should do now; he felt he almost had the Bloody Knife but had no clue where he was now. All he could see was that strange pedestal in the center that he could get closer or farther from. Why the hell was it even there was a question on his mind. Unsure where to go, listening, he would make his way towards it; figuring if he had his back to it it could help protect him. He would also hear the order of water, and felt more certain what he was doing would be right. If he was in the middle and stayed mostly still there, it would be easier to detect Akuryo with water; completely unaware of the follow-up of electricity that was to come. During this time, as Akuryo scavenged the body, not only would he find the flash light and baton but a few of his own knives (three; given the amount he threw and used in this darkness). He would also find the guard's unused dust; one yellow (lightning) and one black (heavy gravity). It was a smart move to loot this one while he had the chance. As he stayed on his slab, he would find himself safe from the water and electricity to follow; and his flashlight shine out of his darkness and into the natural one would catch the female rabbit faunus off guard; her ears would stand on end as she was blinded by the light and disoriented, firing off a blind round. Akuryo could have a chance to make an attack if he chose to. When he would flash the light again later inside, he would see the rhino was electrocuted; no scream had come from it, and it was almost entirely silently save for when their body fell to the ground right by his pedestal. That was at least 3 guards down; but still plenty more. By now all guards were in position, and besides the rabbit, they all had held fire for now. The peacock knew he was still alive when the blasted sphere of darkness remained up. He didn't want to play his game though; he had no clue how long the darkness would last. "Batons out and head in. With the water on the ground, we'll hear him if he moves. Keep your aura up; we're flushing this rat out and finishing this," the peacock would say, knowing the rhino was likely dead given he never saw him leave. While it was risky, they would have to rely on numbers here and their target having limited space. 'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'
Akuryo had not only managed to locate the flashlight that he tested easily, but he harvested even more. He managed to replenish a few of his knives and obtain more dust, adding them to his own as he noticed they were of the shard quality rather than crystals. He was glad the blades he had attached the dust on the daggers he harvested hadn't shattered the blades as he placed them into his bandolier. When he flashed the flashlight outside, he hadn't expected one of the fauni to get surprised as she blindly fired a bullet. He had moments to give and when he flashed the light to the pedestal, he saw a dead Rhino. The light reflected off of the wet ground and it gave him an idea, quietly setting the baton down, along with the flash light, he quickly carved off a piece of the lion's leg before picking it and the flashlight up. He left the baton on the stone slab as he turned on his heel and deftly moved as quietly as he could as he snuck up on the rabbit female. He zipped around her and used the meat skank he had carved from the lion to pull her into a grapple.
He had slipped the flashlight underneath his jacket, with the light off as he remembered where she was during his movement. He used the meat skank to cover her mouth, keeping her from screaming and his bare left hand to grasp her gun hand as he whispered quietly to her. "Shh shh shh...... if you try to scream you'll taste the forbidden flesh." He warned her quietly, trying to guide her back so the other guards wouldn't hear him or her as they stepped into his shadows. "I am giving you a chance... for life. A rare opportunity I know but would you rather die here because of his orders?" He asked her quietly, as while in the darkness, it was pitch back and he couldn't see, yet he could still sense the people in his darkness. "He gladly killed the Lion and the Rhino who were trying to capture me....what makes you think he won't sacrifice more men to just capture one man? I've killed hundreds...." He continued to quietly talk and move her using his strength as he was backing up with her to the kitchen doors before he spoke one final sentence. "If you agree to help me... I'll spare one more along with you. If you don't... you'll be tasting the forbidden flesh of faunus before meeting your maker... nod if you agree." He warned her, using the situation to his advantage, he was telling her primarily half-truths about the Peacock's decisions and how he could keep going. But he was being honest about sparing her if she helped him. He kept her gun aimed at a window he had saw, incase if she chose not to help, he'd have her fire out a window before doing as he promised with her.
--------------------Meanwhile--------------------
Castallen and Bakals attacks were landing solidly as they had mostly hoped, with Bakal affected by Light Gravity as an unfortunate side effect. He managed to land the counter hit but he was sent flying due to the tackle as Castallen called out while rushing in. "I got him Bakal! Pace yourself!." Castallen was brazen, brash, and his attacks proved to back up his point as Bakal slammed against their barrier, damaging it slightly. Castallen saw the Ghost trying to roll away before he narrowed his eyes and moved closer, launching him up with his double kick, the second one not landing as he was lighter than he had anticipated. But as his left leg glowed, he tried to deliver a well-executed Roundhouse, only for his attack to move faster and throw him off balance. He stumbled and landed with his back to Ghost again before he found himself being slammed into by the falling opponent. Castallen grunted and as he shook his head to try and get his head back in the game, he felt a hard left hook to the back of his head, his aura reacting to lessen the blow to his head but it failed to protect his left leg as he managed to stab into the thigh. Castallen shouted in pain but the floor/ceiling rumbled as Bakal had gotten back to his feet. He was charging the ghost down with his Mancatcher and was using the full length of it as he could see the Ghost beginning to move. He didn't know how the Ghost would move but he was using the entire shaft and head of the Mancatcher in a horizontal sweep, avoiding Castallen as he chastised the Spectre. "You're making a grave mistake you'll learn to regret!" As he finished the first swing, he would overcharge the mancatcher's full body with electricity and swing again, this time ionizing the air within the pole's length of 3ft plus an additional 5ft away in a small sphere. If the Ghost didn't evade fast enough, he would find his bracers locked in place for a moment, leaving him open for a following shoulder charge from Bakal. However, Bakal knew that overcharging his Man-catcher would have an adverse side effect, he had to leave the pole behind floating in the air as the weapon itself became ionized. Even worse, he couldn't use his semblance as his barrier had dropped for the time being.

He was worried he would lose on attrition but breaking through meant he almost got the balance to break. 'One will be much easier to deal with than two,' he thought to himself. If only he didn't have a main objective...he could slow it down and really drag out the pain. But that would have to be a different time; he would just have to treat this as a full on battle where he couldn't indulge in that. For now at least. He was tempted to try and finish the job but he heard the other approaching now; every time he had Castallan at his mercy Bakal always saved him. This fight could've ended much faster if he had a more permanent way to detain the other, but he wasted too many resources getting this far thinking he could afford to be liberal with it. He would need to ration things out much more in the future, and modify his kit a bit as well. 'Guess one good thing about all these guards is that they showed me what I need to fix to improve myself,' he thought wickedly.
Not having time to think more, Ghost would roll off Castallan into a crouch and dodge just out of reach of Bakal's first swing. Thinking himself safe, he would hear Bakal speak as Ghost prepared to make a break for his crossbow. He was about to laugh at the man's statement when he felt something change in the air; the second swing. Ghost would suddenly be stopped mid run as he was...frozen in place? 'The hell?' he thought as he tried to move but found himself locked by his armor. Having been running for his crossbow, he was faced away from Bakal and could only look over his shoulder to see the guy coming for a shoulder charge but weaponless as well. 'So his semblance is more than just push and pull,' he thought in surprise. He hadn't expected his armor to harm him this way. He thought the fight wouldn't last thing long...he should've kept using his semblance but it was too late to think on now. He would note, while mentally bracing himself, that part of the barrier on the door fell; specifically Bakal's part. 'He's weakening...I just need to get free to take advantage of it,' he thought to himself determinedly as he felt impact. Even with armor to cushion the blow, it still hurt to feel the guy slam into him as his own aura flashed. "You'll pay for that," Ghost spat out. He could feel the bonds beginning to weaken; soon he would have his revenge. ☽☾☽☾ Post Count: 93 ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃Out Of Contracts:

↞ Yatomura Estate ↠⊀ Murder of Crows ⊁ ┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒ The guards would slowly advance into the darkness; steps careful, slow, and precise. They had to be to have any hope of hearing other movement, and trying to differentiate the intruder from the rest of the guards. They were entering from six different angles: Peacock from the north, Rabbit south, Skunk west, and the Dog faunus to the east. The two humans were coming from the northwest and northeast; if they were at full strength they would've had two more to cover the southeast and southwest but that was not the case here. As Akuryo cut the piece of flesh, he would note the Lion's body was not long for this world; bits of it were already turning to dust so his piece wouldn't last long. Still, it may last long enough for his plan; being a small piece and easy to cut, Akuryo would be able to do so soundlessly though it cost him a few seconds. As he navigated the dark waters, he would hear them all closing in on him from all sides; the rabbit side having been the side where he heard the least amount of footprints. She would hear water moving very close to her, but she didn't fire in worry of hitting a fellow guard; her mistake though as it allowed Akuryo to get behind her and catch her. She would struggle a bit, but for now he had a hold of her and her weapon. Her eyes would widen, and she would go still as he spoke. Feeling sickened by what he was doing with the flesh and at his mercy. He would start to ask her question, in a whisper, as the other were still closing in the darkness; though the dog faunus would hear whispers from that direction and divert to figure out what it was. As Akuryo led her out, speaking to try and convince her to agree, she was having an internal conflict on if she should or shouldn't. As they reached the kitchen doors her eyes would widen; she didn't know if she could trust him but she also didn't know if she had a choice. As he asked for her to decide though...she sent a silent prayer and tried to break free. She would try to slam her head back into him, and follow it with stomping his foot with her own. Trying to break her grapple of him as she would try to break free. During this, Akuryo could fire the gun. As this was going on, the dog faunus would emerge from the darkness and notice the struggle too. "He has Josephine by the kitchen!" he would yell aloud to alert everyone as he aimed his gun at the two but held fire; not wanting to shoot the rabbit faunus as the rest of the guards would begin to rush towards where they heard him speak, peacock included. 'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'
Akuryo kept a firm grip on her, slowly walking towards the kitchen with her as he offered her a way out of this, a chance to survive. Yet she chose to squander it as he felt her head move forward into the meat. He couldn't see what was to come as her head slammed into his face as he grunted, but with his left hand, he aimed her gone at the sound of the voice just as she stomped on his foot. The voice shouting out his location as he began to force her to pull the trigger twice, muzzle flashes lightning up the room as he could see the men coming. He brought his right hand up with the meat to cover her face and attempt to break her neck while her head was at an angle as he told her. "Wrong move!" He told her as if the neck breaker worked by wrenching her head forcibly, he'd drop her body to the ground. If it failed due to any reason, he'd instead throw her towards her allies and escape into the kitchen. His Pedestal faded entirely behind the group of guards.
Regardless, his resulting escape would bring him into the kitchen as he would attempt to bar the kitchen door shut to buy him some time. He looked around and grinned as he could see thanks to the moonlight from the window as he grinned, grabbing the now cold pot of food and spilled it in front of the door before he threw the pot outside through the window while making his way quietly into the basement. He had to play this the long way as with the way upstairs blocked, he just needed to confuse them long enough to buy time. He made his way down the stairs into the dark basement and hid amongst the barrels nearby.
--------------------Meanwhile--------------------
Bakal's ionizing swipe managed to capture the ghost as he charged on ahead without his weapon. He rammed into the Spectre hard with his toughened body, knocking him out of his placement and sending Ghost flying away towards the wall and to where he left his crossbow. The ionizing field affecting his armor vanished after the successful hit while Bakal got back to his feet. He couldn't utilize his semblance momentarily and his weapon was currently stuck in space. He cracked his knuckles and began to approach the Spectre with his eyes focused as Castallen the Wolfman was in the process of moving back to the wall. "Damn Bakal.... didn't expect you to get this strong.." Castallen spoke with a smile as he was dragging himself to the wall and had to bring down his ice wall to focus his aura into healing the gash of his leg. His mobility was cut in half and now he had to heal up while Bakal took care of the scrap. "I warned you before that you were making a Grave mistake, let me show you the result!" Bakal shouted at him as he raised his left hand up, his aura flashing and focusing on his fist to empower it before he began to bring it down, unaware of what the Ghost had in mind as he was suffering from tunnel vision.

Due to the residual effects to it, he did not have the best landing nor recovery; hindered by his armor. "Tch," was the only sound he let out through gritted teeth as he felt the pain of it. His armor took most of the blow as he conserved his aura a bit; he'd be bruised later for sure from that. But the only thing on his mind as he lowered his safety aura was the taste of his own blood. As he pushed and forced himself to move, a sinister smile would spread across his lips. He could feel the pain, the aches, taste the blood. He felt alive. The words of the pitiful wolf fell on deaf ears to Ghost; instead he was focused on reaching his crossbow and the approaching footfalls. He was crawling almost like a dog as he reached his crossbow, steady hands loading a bolt as he heard Bakal near him and begin to speak. He was speaking about the grave, and a mistake, but Ghost cared little for it. Instead, he waited a moment before he would roll onto his back at the last moment; crossbow having been cradled to him but now revealed as he shot Bakal point blank with it as he was about to bring his aura fist down.
He doubted one bolt would fully stop the guys attack as he expected it only to lessen the blow. So Ghost was going to sacrifice his crossbow to block the blow just in case; and follow up. The guy could probably break through a non-aura coated crossbow...but Ghost still had one charge of yellow dust on his dagger he had yet to use. As the guys fist (whether it broke through fully or not) hit the crossbow, Ghost would either let go (if he only got partway) or punch through with his own vambrace-dagger hand into Bakals; and send a surge of electricity into the guy as a sinister laugh would emanate from his lips. "Hahah, the only grave mistake that was made was you thinking you could beat me. Let me show you what happens when you trigger the bloodlust of an assassin," he would say as he would lean back then spring his legs up to wrap around Bakal's arm as he would attempt to dig the blade deeper into the guys hand. Aiming to break through his aura so he could disable the hand and cause as much pain as he could. Defeating them efficiently was no longer his goal; his goal was too inflict as much pain onto them as he could and watch the life drain from their eyes.

↞ Yatomura Estate ↠⊀ Murder of Crows ⊁ ┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒ As Akuryo had her fire the rounds in their struggle, one would go wide but the other would hit the dog faunus in the shoulder. He would stagger back as it rendered his right arm uncooperative for a second, dropping his own gun from the sudden pain/numbness. At the same time, the rabbit faunus struggling with him would be horrified to have the trigger pulled but she couldn't focus on it. She had to fight him to free herself before she could worry about something else. She smiled in that she caused him some pain with the headbutt and stomp on his foot, but it did little to free her from him as he attempted to break her neck. She was not going to let him do so easily though, and as soon as there was a bit of lax in his hold, she surged away. Attempted to at least, making it hard for him to pull off what he wanted as he instead shoved her away once the sound of other guards grew and he could tell time was running out. She would stumble and crash to her knees, turning to try and grab a gun to shoot him, but he was already gone through the door by then. By then, his pedestal was gone and only normal darkness remained. It was a slightly subtle but noticeable change as those who were still coming out of it could see more than a foot in front of them now. They would notice the wounded dog was down, bleeding, but alive, along with the rabbit faunus who had her gun aimed at the kitchen door. "He went in there," was what she said as soon as the others approached, visibly shaking from the experience of being a hostage. Seeing this turn of events, the captain would weigh his options before speaking. "Josephine, stay and tend to Douglas. The rest of you, into the kitchen. There are only a few exits and I didn't hear a window breaking so he can't have gone far yet," he would say as Skunk would take the lead with one of the humans while the other and the captain followed behind. That was when they ran into their first obstacle; the door was blocked. Directing the guards, the skunk (Bill) and human (Sara) would begin to shoulder tackle the door in tandem. Slowly working weakening it and eventually bursting through...and not expecting the spilled food they immediately slipped and tumbled in a heap on the floor. The captain and remaining human followed swiftly after with weapons raised, but saw no signs of him for the moment; save an open window. "Fan out; we cannot let him get away," he would say as he and the human would go through the window and the other two would go towards the storage room and basement. All sides alert and on the lookout for the runaway killer. Akuryo had bought himself a good few minutes time before they reached the basement and began to descend. 'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'
Akuryo was breathing heavily as he was trying to think on what to do. Without the power, he couldn't see, but he kept the flashlight on hand. The headbutt from Josephine had caught him off guard earlier, but she wasn't as strong as she had hoped as his nose was damaged but not broken. He shook his head while remaining hidden before thinking on it. He remembered the room's layout and he moved his way as best and as quickly as he could after he heard the men bash into the kitchen above. He turned on the flash light and set it on the ground, facing it to the stairs to the kitchen. The light wasn't strong enough to alert his presence prior but he used it to hide once more. With the light in the darkness, it made the darkness more pronounced on what it couldn't cover as he could thankfully see. He couldn't lay traps now, but instead he prepared himself for combat as he moved up the stairs to use two of his knives to bar the outside basement entrance. He moved his way back down the stairs and leapt off of them as he landed and rolled off to the side, hiding in the dark. He was in his element and needed to bait them. He crept quietly as he moved back towards the barrels close to the kitchen stairs, aiming to bar that next to seclude himself with his opponents at least.
He mentally cursed himself for not being able to kill the rabbit but he armed himself with Both Black Durian knives as he calmed his nerves with a few trained breaths as he heard the doors open above him, waiting for his prey to descend.
--------------------Meanwhile--------------------
Bakal was approaching the man as he could see him crawling towards something, but he knew it was futile. But Castallen, Castallen from a distance could see what the man was doing as he shouted out while Bakal had his fists raised. "Bakal look out! He is still armed!." Bakal did not hear the warning fast enough as he began to swing his fist down before he looked to see the crossbow aimed. He had focused his aura and could only see the crossbow fire. That was when Ghost saw his final trait that would push the man's endurance to demonic heights. The bolt fired mid-swing as he took the bolt into his right eye before slamming his fist into the crossbow and broke it."GAHHHH! MY EYE!" Bakal shouted in excruciating pain as his right hand moved to grab the bolt that was lodged in his right eye without breaking through and hitting his brain. But his left hand was vulnerable as Castallen was trying to get up, crawling in futility towards Bakal as the Vambrace blade stabbed through Bakal's fist so easily. He couldn't focus his aura on defense anymore. Soon electricity began to surge through Bakal as he screamed in pain while he heard the Assassin speak. "An assassin?!" Was all he could ask before he felt the blade push deeper as the aura was trying to repair his eye and now at this point trying to repel the blade and failing. Vision was too important to lose but so was a hand as he cried out in pain. He lifted his arm up, possibly with the specter, and aimed to slam him into the ground once more before his left hand and arm became too damaged to use.

The screams of pain and anguish were such sweet joys. Ghost didn't want it to end; where once this man was fearless, stoic, and dauntless...now he was at the assassin's mercy. The revealing statement alone seemed to surprise the man; only adding to Ghost's joy at the situation. His friend had tried to warn him earlier, but was far too late. 'He'll have to suffer for ruining the fun,' Ghost thought to himself as his legs were wrapped around Bakal's arm while still digging the blade into his hand as the guy was also trying to take out a crossbow bolt from his eye. Ghost was glad it didn't go straight into the brain; he would've missed the screams and seeing the pain. As the Bakal lifted his arm up, Ghost had an idea of what he would do; either shake him off or slam the hand down again. Ghost wasn't willing to let go yet; his bloodlust was in full effect. Rather, as he made a motion to slam it down, Ghost would brace himself to take the hit and kick him in the head the moment Ghost would make impact with the ground to make him hopefully stumble away; the attack naturally making him loose his grip entirely as he felt pain wrack through him. Sweet, sweet pain...A laugh would come from Ghost again, sinister and deep, as he would stretch his sore limbs after the impact. "Almost Bakal...if only you had a bit more aura left," he would taunt as he would kick out at Bakal's knees while on the ground to push off of him if he were still there; if not he would merely begin to try to stand. Slowly standing to his feet as he worked out the bodily pains...and noticing Castellan crawling towards them.
Grabbing one of his remaining bolts, Ghost's smile would not falter as he approached his two weakened opponents. Playtime was unfortunately nearing its end, but he would savor every moment. And it would not be clean demises by any stretch of the word. Ghost would charge towards Bakal now as he felt strength returning to him, running on adrenaline from bloodlust, with arrow in his left hand and vambrace dagger on his right. His plan now was simple; he needed more blood, and for the titan to fall. As he charged forward, with Bakal likely getting the bolt out now, he would see the specter coming for him. No matter the defense he attempted, or even a last desperate offense, Ghost would not be deterred. Rather, he would just incorporate it. Ghost would stab through any opposition he could give, cutting through flesh, before body slamming into the guy with dagger out. Sinking it into his heart as momentum carried both forward with Bakal falling with a mighty and resounding thud right in front of Castellan. Blood was pooling out from the wound. Pulling the dagger free of him, Ghost would slowly sit up; hands covered in blood. His gaze would rise from the dying Bakal to Castellan now; and he would slowly walk off of his friend. He would follow after the arrogant one; sheathing his dagger as he switched the bolt to his right hand. He would stab it into one of his hands, and twist it in. "All of this could have been avoided if you'd only let me through. But I do have to thank you; ending you two has been the highlight of my night," he would say with sadistic glee as he would remove the bolt from Castellan's hand with his left. With his right hand, he would pick Castellan up by the collar of his attire and dig the bolt in his heart as well; before tossing him onto his friend. Both slowly dying, bleeding out from wounds too severe for aura to heal. Ghost at least allowed them to die together as they had fought.
The bloodlust fading, Ghost felt a pang of soreness and pain and exhaustion all the more acutely as adrenaline also faded. The metallic smell of blood surrounding him and making his head slightly dizzy. The murderous intent and sadism fading back into the recesses of his being; and his true purpose here becoming clearer. Already, he could scarcely remember the exact details when he just wanted their blood to spill; he could only clearly remember the beginning and end of it. Wiping the blood off shakily against his cloak, he would take in a deep breath to calm his mind. It had been a long time since he let loose of his control and indulged. So long it left him feeling weakened, but he had to complete his task. Giving one last look to the two, whether they were alive or not, Ghost would speak softly before walking to his target. "Know that while you two failed, you fought valiantly. The lady of the house was lucky to have guards such as you; die knowing you did your duty to the last," Ghost would say to honor their deaths regardless of if they could still hear it or not. While in bloodlust all he cared for was ensuring their suffering and his delight, he respected the fight they put up now that it was over. It was rare for him to get a fight like that; a duality to his assassin profession was his desire for such conflicts. He would quietly step away from them, slowly and quietly walking to the door they had guarded with their lives. His final objective was there, as he would pause to listen with ear to the door now. This part of the mission he hoped would go more smoothly; for her sake more than his. ☽☾☽☾ Post Count: 98 ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃Out Of Contracts:
