~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This whole escapade was becoming quite the torrent of spaced out emotions~! The tensions, the hell raising, the good, bad and ugly... Nejina wanted to bathe herself in that depth of emotion. Such notions and words exchanged filled her with goosebumps, causing her an adrenaline rush. The variety of the teams all together were sights to behold, to say the least~! Hades, as always, had to be the one to try and end things with his words being the last in a conversation. So hilarious one could possibly be, especially when they truly had it in their minds to consider oneself a god. His commentary her way only had her roll her eyes, clearly finding his commentary vulgar. "If I simply wished to hear you howl, I know all I would need to do, is set a carnival mirror in front of your face, and be sure it has the XXL setting, to make your "Sexiness," look like a boarbatusk and you had a love child. Spare me your vulgar peasantry! You have a lady near you as it is, and surely they could simply cover that issue with no problem? She says you are under circumstances, but my oh my~ Both your bodies are throbbing for a good fight, and it is delicious. We must have Team SHANK one day team for something, as long as it is entertaining~. Be sure to add some finer delights!"
Wasn't his partner quite the spiteful one? Unable to understand Blair's possible issues, her mind hadn't remained too long on such a trivial thing. Whatever the issue, that was her business.She herself had no care to truly know, more so turning her head away to a familiar ally arriving, who was sadly, on the other team. "Dear sweet Akyu~! You are mighty ravishingly adorable yourself my sweetling~. Don't worry, the feeling is entirely mutual~" With a sweet, true smile, Nejina had turned away from the opposing team,suppressing her attention away from them once Aya had arrived. Aside from the arrival of a faunus, the display HAdes had pulled, just to look himself in the mirror.... Was a complete hopeless case, that not even she could truly comment on. "Guess there's no changing a monkey to reduce their intelligence after that display. My... No one can take any jokes~ A shame." If only the came could have been said for the ratio of teammates, in a sense, on the field itself. "Maybe two.... Maybe...Three faunus.." Not having any notice of Blair and her rabbit faunus feature, the third was assumed towards her teammate Penninah. Those scales gave up too much attention of questioning, though it was a problem the young woman had to force her own level of attention away from. The focus now, was towards her own side. Pyrrhus had... Quite the old fashioned and gallant way of speaking towards them. As one who had that habit sometimes, there was no questioning on that factor. Xanthe would seem to finish her food, (much to Nejina's delight,) and as for Penninah... The beautiful woman was showing quite the feisty provocation, unknowingly speaking the words she had been prepared to ponder for sure. Such a fiery personality, and she could excuse the scales for the sake of the battle. Xanthe was carrying the same enthusiasm, and oddly enough, she couldn't help but speak either. "This shall indeed be of most interest." There was a question of interest however, and Pyrrhus had been the first to ask it. "Ah, yes... I am wondering that myself. Surely we are not about to just divebomb in." That would be undignified. That question was answered rather quick, as this random tiger had come from who knew where, taking over the center of the field. A lovely creature, but there was no answer there to work with at first. It wasn't until Hades had given the command, had she figured the tiger was his. "A tiger starting up a fight?" Now she had seen everything. Of course, Nejina had made no notion at all to head straight into the maze like others. Simple choice she had picked for herself, was to walk in. i]"A lady never truly runs, unless it's survival of the fittest." It may have been a competition, but what point was there, or wasting one's stamina in a maze? Mazes were more logic and focus than anything else! There was no rush.
❝I'm Cute. Deal with It!❞
With all the lovely introductions out the way it was time for some fun. It made him smile to know that him an Neji shared the same drive in this fight. It was nice to know that Cyn was competitive too. That was going to make this worth his while. Kamyu on purpose had ignored Hades. Yes he was part of Team SHANK, but he was just being and arrogant butthole. It didn't matter that they were on the same team. Kamyu found it unpleasant to be working with Hades when he was being a narcissist. It was discouraging that Blair wasn't saying anything. It didn't even look like she wanted to be there. To him, that was going to make this harder to work together as a team. What was interesting was that a tiger started the fight. That was unexpected for sure.
There was no point in talking about team. Blair had already disappeared into the maze and Hades was just standing there probably about to get disqualified for having an illegal weapon. Him and Aya were just going to do it the Team APCN way. Looking back at Aya, he would make his way into the maze. He'd stay low seeing that Cyn took the high ground. That meant she was overlooking the maze. It was going to be hard staying out of sight. "I may just have to use you as a shield darling." He joked sweetly at Aya. "Either way watch our back. Make sure no one sneaks up on us." His heart was sit on getting his lovely friend he had made on his mission, but anyone from their team he came in contact with would due. This was going to be all in good spirit at the end of the day. Maybe running into Xanthe would prove to be the most fun. Her excitement topped them all.
Aya continued to stretch herself while listening to the conversations around her, she knew she didn’t belong to any of the ongoing small talk but it was always a pleasure listening to information to be used afterward. Then suddenly a tiger came in to start the fight, Aya couldn’t help it but laugh as everyone started to make their moves, or in Hades’s case do the same thing as he did before “oh? The sexy god in all his glory isn’t going to lift a finger? Seemed like you and that girl on the enemy team have some business to settle. But who am I to assume, I only just met you guys” she then noticed Kyu slowly entering the maze while looking at her, that was her queue to get in as well. Aya took a deep breath as ice started forming on her palms and feet and started skating towards Kyu while preparing her pistol if any one of the opposite team would show up “you got it Kyu, I already offered to be your shield even before we got here, now keep a sharp eye on what’s in front of us, I’ll try to keep our backs safe” Aya said while skating in circles around Kyu as the ice continued to form on her body.
From claims of godhood to the exact opposite, friendly introductions to playful ones? It was hard to tell as some people seemed familiar with one another, while for others this was the first meeting. It was a bit hard for Pyrrhus to get a full read on some of them; Nejina especially. They seemed to be joking and friendly to one another at the least; even if he didn't quite understand how with their choice of words. Though truly there was also a bit too much going on to really keep track of everything, so he mostly focused on his teammates. As Xanthe would introduce herself, saying win or lose they'd have to go afterwards, Pyrrhus would nod with a friendly smile on his face as he was in favor of it. Lady Peni would then greet them in return, calling him Sir Pyrrhus and saying no to the squid for a similar reason of eating before exercise not being great. Pyrrhus kept a content smile on his face, liking how Sir sounded in front of his name. 'Perhaps one day.' He silently thought to himself. She also gave a bow as well, which was a nice touch of formality. The self proclaimed god would walk away after an exchange with Nejina, seeming intent on something. Hearing the competitiveness in Lady Peni's voice of not going easy on the opposing team was a little infectious. Competition itself was always fun and invigorating. The young knight was content to be in silence and just take in the feeling of the competition ahead, trying to plan his own strategy while others spoke more. A plan would be good so everyone would be on the same page for the team.
It seems many shared his question as well on how to start things out. He had assumed there would have been a neutral third party to officiate, but no one was in sight. And while he did value patience usually...this was something that felt like the sooner they got started the better. Rather suddenly, a tiger would appear in the arena! Pyrrhus was a bit stunned by the sight, not expecting to see the large creature here, and merely watched its movements to try and figure out how it got here. Being a bit defensive since all he had for protections was a noodle sword and foam shield. However as the self proclaimed god said to start the thing, he felt a bit more at ease that it was under his control. 'For him to have tamed a tiger...impressive.' Pyrrhus thought to himself silently. The tiger would growl to both sides before rising onto two legs...and slamming back down, quickly exiting the arena. 'I suppose that means we start.' Pyrrhus thought to himself as a flurry of actions would occur. The female that had come with the god would throw his staff out of the arena and bolt! 'Why would she do such a thing?' Pyrrhus questioned, thinking it rather rude to do unless it was planned? People could be confusing at times, since the man hadn't even tried to attack or anything with it. Though he also had no water weapon of his own and was waiting, Pyrrhus had believed he would not try to cheat as he gave him the benefit of the doubt. He would see Xanthe try to go for a surprise attack opening but...she seemed to be lacking ammunition, and quickly bolted off. Next was Lady Peni who also bolted but...got onto the arena walls. 'A large target on her back but...I suppose having the high ground helps.' He silently thought to himself. Nejina would depart in a more casual and relaxed rate, seeming to be conserving her energy. 'Wise to do between battle.' He thought to himself, though he did think moving quickly away first would be best before slowing down. The other two from the opposing team would also quickly leave, though not before ice seemed to appear with her and she skated away. 'Note to self; she seems to be able to make ice. Highly mobile.' He thought to himself, a good piece of info for the future.
Looking to the now weaponless god, Pyrrhis would do as his honor dictated. He would throw his foam sword to him, not as an attack, but for him to catch. "Here, it is not right for you to be defenseless. If we are to defeat a god, I want it to be fair. " He would say to him before turning and headed into the maze himself. While that only left him with a shield, it was the right thing to do in Pyrrhus' mind. And a shield may be all that he would need. He would quickly jog into the maze, trying to catch up with and follow after his team mates. He wasn't sure where Xanthe went, and Peninah would be more chance if he saw her above, and despite Nejina walking away...it was a maze. It probably made it the hardest to track her because her own movements would be a lot quieter than the others running about. Keeping his shield arm ready in case of any hostiles, senses alert as well, he would do his best to try and regroup with his team. Thinking if they got together again and moved as a loose team they would have the best chance of victory. Though he did not call out for them; he did not need the other team finding him alone with only a shield. His plan, if he encountered one of them, was to head to the middle of the arena. He had been told there would be a re-stock of weapons there, and he could re-arm himself then. ♞ Post count: 8 ☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀ ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄
Of course, Blair had to be so bitter. Ironically, Hades knew she was going to catch an attitude but he did not know how bad it was going to be. He knew it was going to be bad but he did not expect to have his staff chucked into the stands. What was wrong with her!?!? It was already a hint there when she said a series of unfortunate events. They were not that bad. He did not think so at least. He saw Peninnah was staring at him. The glare he did not see as hostile. He figured that it was just her getting stuck in the awesomeness that he was conveying. It not everyday one sees a god up close. Especially half naked with water glistening from his caramel skin! It was whatever. Hearing the response of Nejina, he acted surprise but a smirk stayed played on his face. He was not one to get offended and considering Nejina's relationship to him he considered her more like a little sister with attitude. Of course he never discussed team Shank with Blair because he felt was no reason to. This would seem to be a mistake because that probably could of helped him with his Blair issue. "I mean, she could, but she has to put out in order for that issue to be solved my dear Nejina" he commented before shaking his head.
Back into the situation after his little mishap looking in the mirror, he was still the god of sexiness. The tiger was beginning to get the match started and he thought things were going to be simple but that was when it happen. Blair snapped and threw his staff. Looking at her, he gave a quizzical look and was shocked. How the hell was she so upset?! Looking at her, he was in perfect position to get hit by the water balloon from Xanthe. However,.....she failed. She failed and ended up doing a retreat. He did not see it coming because he was actually so shocked. Now back focused a little, he would noticed with his semblance that people were making their moves. Aya was gassing him up which kept Hades back into a good mood. It always was lovely having an admiring. "Don't worry your heart little foxy mama. Hades got this covered." He would respond as the woman was going about her plan.
He was given a weapon by the honorable knight of the enemy team. A sword for water fun. Issue was, he was mainly a melee fighter. Throwing the weapon away, he would just use his wrestling. Nothing against dunking a person into the water right? Going into the maze, he would use his semblance to help seeing. He was going to wait for an opening!
Blair was not proud of her actions, though fortunately very few would understand why she had truly tossed Hades staff, the look of betrayal on his face stung as she finished the act, however it was too late to go back. Poor Kamyu and Aya, there for fun but stuck with Blair and Hades, would it improve? Yes, yes it would. Despite Blair constantly getting annoyed with Hades over all sorts of situations, and him annoyed with her, they had worked together for two years. When business called they could shove their personal issues behind them as if they were nothing, which honestly in most cases it was arguing for arguments sake. Although Blair had ventured into the maze, she had every intention of aiding the team. She was here, she was childishly competitive, it just needed a moment to settle in. Even though she wasn’t there for team discussions or planning, there wasn’t really time for any of it. Blair would do what she did best, hunt from the shadows, from behind.
As she disappeared into the maze she placed tightened her pony tail, her hair having gotten longer also meant it got in her face more. She needed to see. Taking in deep breaths she would take in the scents of her surroundings. While she was no bloodhound, she still could pick up smells better than a human. She had come prepared, her gun already loaded as she hadn’t been sure how easy it would be to come across water in a fight.
Step after step she ventured, taking random turns here and there, until she picked up a foreign scent. It was one of her enemies. She knew the scent of her allies. It seemed that her target was coming towards her. Rather than go around the turn she waited, her heartbeat slowing, her breath becoming silent. Her body was adjusted in a position that she would be impossible to see until they had made their turn, if they came into her direction.
SLowly she heard his footsteps approach but, took a different option. Turned to the right instead of turning to a left where she was. Didn’t matter, meant she could stalk. Stealth mode active she bare feet made not a sound on the floor beneath her. Deciding she would show off, she picked up her pace quietly taking a few quick steps gaining momentum before leaping in the air in the direction of a wall, which she kicked off with her feet to angle herself over Pyrrus as she direction herself towards the wall across from where she kicked off of. As she flipped over him she fired her gun.
”Boo~” she cooed as she fired. Now all she needed to do was make sure she landed on the other wall to bounce off it again to make him firing back at her harder. Being a rabbit faunus, bouncing from wall to wall would be of little effort. Question was, would her attack be a success, and would Pyrrus be able to read her bouncing? .
Xanthe Shaw
Xanthe ran blindly after entering the maze until she was confident she was far enough in to be alone. If she was being hunted there was nothing she could have done about it, but she had passed several boxes of balloons and spare noodles in her mad dash and felt confident in being able to find more or defend herself in a pinch. She wanted a little time to work out how the launcher she had acquired worked, but couldn't do that if she was stuck on defense. She slowed down to a jog as she rounded a corner, ahead of her lay a dead end however there was also a crate of balloons and those accursed noodles, a trap or a consolation prize for getting lost. No matter, it suited Xanthe's need to experiment with the weapon and a straight corridor would at the very least let her see her attacker, might even let her her hit them... But it was unlikely. She swung the launcher over her shoulder, then sat it on the ground, it stood at an angle but seemed stable, and dropped a balloon into the opening. Xanthe had very little experience with firearms and assumed, incorrectly, that most weapons were loaded like her speargun and ammo was inserted into the barrel. Luckily, in this case, she was correct. She dropped another balloon into the barrel of the launcher and reasoned that she could probably fit more in. After the fourth she decided to pump it a few times to build up the pressure again. On the sixth, as the gauge shook in the red she decided to attempt a launch. "Hexa-shot test. Fire!" She braced and pressed the release button on the off chance that the balloons exploded inside the barrel and soaked her instead. All six balloons shot out of the cannon and high into the air, falling back to earth somewhere within the maze. The chances of them hitting anyone were pretty slim, but to her the chance was astronomically higher than if she attempted to use it after hunting someone else down. What she really needed was a spotter, someone who could survey the maze and let her know where to aim. She cast a glance at the noodles but was loath to touch them, she'd stick with the the balloons for now she thought, as she began loading another round.
Peninnah had separated from everyone pretty early, and having a view from above, she would focus on getting to the center. Hopping quickly from one wall to the next, she was only one-third of the way there by this time. She would glance down occasionally, if only to check for danger, but the only one she really needed to worry about at the moment was a little ways behind her. Then she heard it...the crash on one of the walls.'That doesn't sound good...'Peni thought and cursed to herself."I'm comin',"The petite young woman grumbled under her breath and turned to hop, trying to be as quiet as she could while prepping a balloon in the sling, but not yet pull it back.
After a bit, she would reach the sound of the commotion, her eyes taking in the impressive jump of the older lady...And then she saw IT...the pom-pom of a tail. Crimson eyes couldn't help but fixate on it. As she did, what felt like a minute was merely a second really as her crimson eyes seemed to receive a predatory glint, and maybe it's the trick of the sun, as her smile might have sharp teeth (?).'Oh, this shall be fun,'She thought as the primal instinct to hunt started to creep in upon herself.
Her predatory expression didn't go away but, in noticing Pyrrhus, she was back on track. Readying the sling, she would pull back and release the water balloon at the faunus."Not today, cottontail,"She said as it fired down before readying another shot.
If she hits:
"Gotcha!"The petite young woman smirked and went to prep another balloon to fire again. Whether intentional thinking or not, she wanted to protect her teammate and hopefully get the bunny's attention. Should Blair fire at Cyn, she would fall back, jumping down into the isle on the other side of Pyrrhus and Blair. Making her way back to them on foot.She's mine!
If she misses:
Peninnah growled in annoyance as she missed her target."I'm not done with you yet,"The petite young woman hissed and readied another balloon. Sooo much tension on the enemy side~! The backlash of man to woman was a thrill of enticement~! Some of it wasn't showing to all of course, but there was an edge to the tones, and look on Hades face, that proved such conclusions all on it's own. "Someone's got a history~." Nejina had almost caved into thinking they were adorable... Until she saw the tail. Saying nothing in particular towards the security guard, her priorities shifted towards the actual fight itself. Most were rushing in from the excitement, and she was still in her casual walking pace. There was no stopping her however, from overhearing Pyrrhus on the tail end of the conversation, being kind and courteous. "Fairness can only make a person go so far."" Pyrrhus was a better person than she was certainly! She would have loved to catch him unarmed with a pool noodle to the wondercave! Teeth wouldn't be removed, but hey! It may make him stop talking godliness to the world for a few moments! The pool noodle may not be large enough though....
Such an image brought a tiny amount of laughter from under her breath. Caressed by imagination in the minds eye brought such rushing feelings of her own adrenilene to shake her core. Ooh! If she could bring a tear to her eye she would! Tears and personal issues were not meant for a battlefield, and those who laid feelings that had nothing to do with fighting in general had a serious need to get their head checked. Even a crazy woman such as she knew that much~! Of course at times, she had to practice what she preached even if it meant dealing with personal issues of conlict around her! A fact she had to do now, with both ally and enemy. "Playing the role of a team player is as essential as compulsion." While two of her allies had went one direction, she had taken another turn away from them. Towards the center of the maze was her aim, though being crowded with allies would have been a foolish move, given the spacial limits the maze concured. "Such textures..." Whispering under her breath, she traced the pool noodle along the wall, merely testing the textures for any similiar essences she could attempt to work with. Uncaring of what was around her, when she found a water balloon basket, she clutched one in her free hand, tapping the water weapon and counting her steps. "45...46...47...48...49..."
❝I'm Cute. Deal with It!❞
From the looks of it, Cyn had decided to jump down from higher ground. That must have meant one of her teammates was in trouble. They just didn't know who at the time. "Alright Aya. How do you want to go after?" He asked as they continued to move through the maze. They could bump into anyone any moment now. It would be a joy to fight his friend Nejina, but who knew. As they kept going, eventually the choice was made for them as they ran into Xanthe. Kamyu would fire of his water guns as soon as they bumped int her. Hopefully Aya was on ready because he knew Xanthe was going to fire back. He was going need his shield. It made him chuckle just thinking about it.
Aya continued to skate in circles around Kyu, the ice has reached all the way to her thighs and shoulders when Kyu asked her who did she want to target, Aya did not know who they should’ve gone for but then she looked up and noticed a volley of 6 balloons coming down from a specific place in the maze. The balloons were not even close to hitting either one of the two, but it did give her an idea of where to go “we should go towards that direction! Both the sexy god and the librarian did not have a weapon that can lunch 6 balloons so high at the same time it must be an enemy!” Aya said as she started to skate faster, getting to a point where she sees Xanthe, she would slide down while her knees are facing Xanthe, bracing herself for impact. ❄. tabLOCATION . . . His back had been turned to her when he took the right path, having no real indication she was there or that she would be following him. Having a decent degree of confidence in his own ability to sense others, he had just felt like he was entirely alone in this section of the maze. Even as Blair picked up in speed, it wasn't until she kicked off the wall that he had some indication he may not be alone. He scarcely had time time to half turn to the first sound before he noticed a shadow over him and the word Boo being spoken as Blair was above him and firing down as she flipped over him. The surprise attack was mostly successful. A spray of water would nail him right in the face for a second or two before he brought his shield up in a defensive position to cover himself from anymore hits, it soaking up a bit of the water fired at him. Shaking his head and using his free hand to wipe the water from his eyes, he would notice her seeming to lithely bounce off the next wall as she began to bounce between the walls. His mind still trying to process things. 'If I was hit am I out? But she is still dodging, meaning she fears counter attack. Is this a match to submission?' He quickly thought, momentarily confused. This was where it may have been good to discuss the rules of the match, but Pyrrhus would adapt quickly. He took her continued dodging as confirmation the match was still on.
'What can I do though?' He thought to himself slightly frustrated. He had given his sword to the self proclaimed god, and was thus weaponless. His shield would be good for blocking now that he was aware of her, but he had little ways to actually attack her...unless. 'That could work.' He thought, all his thoughts seeming to stretch far too slow for him. There was one thing that he had noticed in all of this though; a new person would join them. He saw her from his peripheral; Lady Peninah. Thinking quickly as she spoke, hoping it would distract his opponent, he would throw his shield towards Blair at a slight angle. He had gained a slight inkling of her patterns of hopping, and aimed towards where he believed her foot would be when she would normally be about to bounce off the wall. Since his shield had absorbed some of the water, he was hoping if she did her usual pattern her kick would have a little water burst at her feet. At the same time Peninah fired as well. Part of his hope, given the shield was foam and not metal, was that it may bounce back towards him though he knew that things may not go his way. He did hear Lady Peninah say cottontail, but in the heat of battle he gave it little thought. Whether it would fade from memory or not when he tried to recall it later was another matter. Depending how things went would determine his own actions; if his shield bounced back, regardless of whether or not it hit, he would try to use it defensively to cover his own retreat. Though if it was gone...he would take the chance to try and escape by just running in the opposite direction. Throwing the shield was risky but...he hoped the coordinated attack would at least make one of them hit. Whichever scenario that occurred, he would say one last thing to Peninah before she faded from sight. "Thank you for your aid." He would say genuinely. Peni may also notice, before or after the shield was tossed, that he was missing his sword. ♞ Post count: 9 ☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀ ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄
Out Of Chivalry: Let me know if I need to fix anything!
Equipment: Foam sword (noodle) Scroll Outfit: Red/ black swim trunks
It took no time at all for Hades to make it apparent that the weapon given to him by the knight was not his style at all. He needed something more for him. Not some weird...toy thing. He knew people brought in modified water weapons and it was too late for him .He needed to figure out something. Hearing a cheer from the crowd, he would see an armor maker who was cheering him on. A person who was of the religion of Hades. Thinking and looking at the pool noodles, he came up with a good idea! Quickly leaving the battlefield, he would get smacked with a few balloons from the assault made by the weird girl that smile a lot. It was dodge-able but he was thinking about his idea. Going to the noodles, he would take some out then call out to the woman before making his way to her. Luckily, she was in the front row. Giving her the noodles, he would explain his idea. WIth few cuts and some pasting together thanks to her semblance that basically was like super glue. Hades within 30 seconds would have him noodle gauntlets around his wrists, noodle shin guards and coverings that went to feet. It felt...itchy and scratch....but it was on the fly.
¨Thankyou for being there when a good needed you¨ he stated as he would punch and kick to feel it out. Oh, this was about to get good! Returning to the battlefield, could he get disqualified if he technically was hitting them with noodles even though was punches and kicks? He did not think so! Back into the maze, his semblance would start to take affect again, giving him information. He hoped the passive version would be enough. Due to the timing, he would be unable to help out his partner in crime blair. However, they best be prepared because Hades was on the hunt and it did not matter who he ran into. He was going to give someone the noodle hands!!
Thump…. Thump….
The beat of her heart pounded in her ears as the adrenaline began to course through her veins. The thrill of battle began to take hold. Silly water battle or not, this was nothing more than a fight with children rules. His hesitation was exciting, it meant he was planning, figuring out his next move. Or did he believe it was over? No. That was not the case, not with how he was observing her movements. She was no fool. No stranger to battle. Blair was well aware her jumping created a pattern, after all, it could be exploited not just by her opponent but also by her. After all if you could anticipate your opponent's moves you were well off, especially if you helped manipulate them into it.
”Awwww…. scared?” She jested with a coy smiled between jumps. ”I promise I won’t bite…. much.” She winked at him as she hopped for one last time before he made his move. A female voice catching her attention. Two on one? Bring it bitches. She thought to herself as she used a bust around the ankle Prryus aimed at, sending his shield which was still a few inches away from her back at him. She could have made him weaponless but where was the fun in that? As for the balloon being slung at her from the faunus canine she used another burst as she twisted from her previous one, her second burst releasing from her arm as she spun. This caused the balloon to pop without touching her skin, however, with the direction of the burst going towards Prryus there was a chance he would get splashed again.
With her original trajectory changed, she pointed her gun out towards Pen, observing the girls movements to anticipate movement ensuring the best aim, her target the girls mid section. The shot was fired before Pen could take her second shot, or shortly after. Landing on her feet on the ground it was time to see how they would counter this time. The male how no weapon that could truly fire water. Her biggest threat was Pen.
”Only my lover can call me Cottontail~” Blair commented with a wink as she prepared her gun to fire at a moment's notice. If she got wet in the meantime from another shot from Pen so be it. ”So eyes off the derriere~”
Xanthe Shaw
As Xanthe pumped the pressure inside the launcher to new extremes, she wondered what exactly the rules to this fight were. This was a city and while she might have been game to watching eight people pummel each other into a bloody mess inside a maze for ten minutes, ultimately she had to assume that fell under uncivilized behavior and like openly admitting you wore clothes made from animals you'd hunted yourself was shunned. She hadn't seen any points that needed to be defended in her mad dash to get as far away from the others as possible, nor had they been given ties to pull off like in some other games they had around here. There was a squeal from the launcher and Xanthe looked down at the device, the gauge for pressure was firmly in the red with the tip shaking back and forth as it fought against itself for release, whatever it was made of seemed to be shaking slightly in her hands. She grinned and stood up, ready to test the launcher again but this time while holding it.
Fortunately for any passing birds, Xanthe was alerted to the presence of another contestant by the change in humidity. Winters back home had a similar icy quality despite almost never resulting in snow. Although on a day like this with nary a cloud in the sky the sudden shift almost certainly meant a person was approaching rather than some sort of freak storm. She turned to look down the corridor and aimed the weapon from the shoulder, just as Aya skated around the corner. It was just one long corridor, she just had to wait until she saw the whites in the girls eyes to shoot. She had loaded the launcher, it was primed, she just had to be close to make up for her awful aim. Aya didn't seem to be slowing, in fact, if anything she seemed to be going unnaturally fast. Xanthe grinned, she knew this game. Chicken. That made things simple. "Come one then." She shouted as Aya committed to the slide, activating her own semblance for good measure, as this wasn't going to be pretty on her shins. Xanthe waited until Aya was practically on her to release the payload. Four balloons aimed at the girls chest fired at point blank range by a launcher that was only going to get one good shot. Xanthe crumpled as the pair connected but was lucky enough to land on her back, she resigned herself to waiting for someone to finish her off.
