Ora flipped her hair. If she had known that there would be waves, then she would have brought a hair tie. Did you know how heavy wool got when you got it wet? She would have to clean it out later. Finally she could see with the smoke being washed away as well. He used it to get away from her, but Ora didn't care.
Ora would take her lance out of the sand, turning it around her to get the sand out of the mechanism. She would then take the weapon apart once more. The shield on her left arm, and the short spear in her right hand. However, instead of throwing it right away, she would pull something on the shield, causing a rizz sound. Since her weapon was separated, she would then throw her short spear at him. If he dodged, she would try to follow his movements for it to hit him on the way back.

That, was highly unexpected and honestly it was boring. His fight with Pyrve was more satisfying to him than this and he lost that match up! Her idea was to throw her short spear at him? She did not seem to aim at any particular area either in regards to the throw. At least, not that he could pick up on. In order to deflect the attack, he would pivot on his right foot 90 degrees to where his shoulder would be pointing towards the source direction of the spear and would unsheath his serow into a downward slash. Using his blade plus the electrical dust effect (since melee dust augmentations last 3 post this would be his last post of it) to collide into the spear and knock it down into the ground in front of him with great force. He figured even if he missed the body of the spear the discharged energy would make up for it to knock it down. Hearing the drill, he was curious exactly what kind of weapon was this. Did not matter. Now the weapon was in front of him and if she wanted it back, she was going to have to get close to him to take it. He could of deflected it away instead of down. He could of just moved out the way entirely. However, he wanted to force the issue. Fight close combat! Plus, he rather not use unnecessary energy especially so soon after taking that crash wave. He was curious about those rocks tho as well. So many options! He was unaware if there was a time limit in place or not.
Ora moved the shield to recall her short spear. How was she doing this? The drill was creating a beam between the shield and the weapon. When it came towards the shield, she would catch it out of the air. She didn't have to go and get it. She would be fine with throwing it. This time, she would throw it again, going for his chest, the biggest target. However, she would move up as she threw it. She planned on getting closer, but she was trying to make her muscles work correctly. They were a little stiff from the previous hit, plus, him not being able to use that dust was to her benefit. She would move 20 ft towards him, not the entire distance to him.
The crowd watched, some with anticipation and others dread, as the waves were sent towards the contestants. Wondering what each of them would do to deal with the waves. Seeing Valkyrie brace herself for the wave, seeming to believe she could withstand the pressure and force of it, left some people watching her with rapt attention. Others watched Unkillable as he made no moves to go up to higher ground, and didn't have the equipment she did to try and protect himself. Asking themselves what he would do to save himself? The answer came quickly. The Unkillable slave charged Valkyrie! A round of cheers went up from audience, seeing him dedicated to the attack despite the oncoming wave, while others were hushed; perhaps thinking him dumb for attacking or silently pleading in their heads this was a plan for him to take cover from the wave. How was the audience seeing this with the smoke bomb in effect? That was because of a screen high above the arena lighting up and magnifying view on the contestants, seeming to have a way to cut through the smoke to at least show thermal outlines of the contestants in the smoke. Though, even with the smoke, the crowd could see the red glow from Valkyries back as a beacon below. A way to tell how close the wave would get to the fighters.
They would see the two come together, but were not quite sure what was happening in the smoke save for his blade seeming to reach her, if barely, from their view. This led to some cries for the smoke to clear, and they would get their wish all too soon. Moments after their confrontation, the wave struck and the smoke cleared instantly. The people in the stands got a brief underwater look as thermals turned off, showing Valkyrie holding her ground where she braced but the unkillable slave being swept a decent deal away. "And the Unkillable slave is hit! Valkyrie stands resolute against the waves, her ground held, but the unkillable did not brace as she did. Was his attack worth it? Will he be able to get up?" The announcer would say with excitement in his voice, trying to amp up the scene for the crows to some success at least. Many were silent for a moment, waiting for the waves to recede as they could see down into the arena again. They saw the Unkillable slave on the ground, and as he picked himself up a cheer arose. "The fight is still on folks, you can't keep the unkillable down for long!" The announcer would say to more cheers as the crowd watched the Unkillable take a more passive stance. Valkyrie did not seem intent on closing the gap, instead throwing her spear to which he he would swipe it down with a spark of electricity from his blade. The crowd watched, curious, as to what she would do as they had also noticed her do something with the weapon earlier. Something that caused a rizz sound for the arena. Some people gasped, others cheered, as her spear came flying back to her and she caught it out of the air. She would then begin to advance, if noticeably slower than before, and was again throwing the spear as it seemed a final confrontation may occur between the two. "This is it folks! The final countdown for this match. Who will prevail, who will fail, and who will win? We will find out soon enough!" He would say as a roar grew in the crowd, and a bell-like timer would begin above. It was loud, sounded a bit slow if impactful, as an unseen timer to the fighters began ticking down to the match end.
OOC: Contestants each have one final round of posts before match ends and winner announced (essentially, 24 hours from now I will do end post). Make it count! (I will determine outcomes from last post and include with end match post)
Things were winding down and the announcer did nothing but confirmed it for Rey. With her spear out of commission, he would load another magazine into his Serow, a blue or more pale variation of the color as the spear was being summoned back to Ora. She seemed to be keeping her distance. Usually he wouldn't care but considering the timer he would just go back to basics. Overpowering her.
As she moved up, Rey prepared himself. Seeing the spear come back to her made him realize 2 things. It was not instant. It takes a few moments for it to get back to her. As she threw the spear a second time, he charged for her which would make targeting his chest easier. However, once the spear was thrown, Rey used his Faunus trait to Pounce towards her in an arch. Same as one of the opening moves, he would come crashing down onto Pea going for a downward slash. The lever squeezed again on Serow going for a frosty cold finishing blast! What would be her reaction?
Ora watched as she threw her spear that he would come at her. He was a relentless one, she had to admit. However, she still had a few tricks up her sleeve. She would side step enough to make the drill point go towards his chest, as he would land. However, in her head, she heard the calls of Old Crimsonhorn "Aura! Use your Aura Val!" A shimmering purple light would envelope her, protecting her. She would take the sword to the shoulder, but hopefully the drill would rip into his chest. Then the Ice dust would hit her. It was chilly, but then a buzzer would go off over her head. Was this over? Did she do enough to win? She would stand down as soon as it was over, ready to hear the verdict.
The crowd watched, some on the edge of their seats, as the timer started ticking. Some people clapped, stamped their fight, or tried guessing the countdown as the crowd roared. Watching, wondering, waiting to see what would happen. As the spear flew through the air, headed towards Rey's chest, some cheered louder and others gasped. Would the aggressor be taken down? Would he deflect it like before? No, instead of deflecting or being on the offensive, he acted. "The Un-killable slave can not be deterred, he is always on the attack!" The announcer would say to cheers from the crowd. He charged her, and it seemed the spear would meet his chest. Did he plan to try to run through it, use his momentum and take the hit to continue? No! At the last moment, he pounced and just barely flew over the spear as it continued past him. He was flying towards Valkyrie, sword out, an icy cold appearing at the tip! But what was Valkyrie doing? Seeing her opponent charge to her, dodge over her spear, and coming down to her...she side stepped and brought her shield to bare. The audience seeing the movement on the front of it as Un-killable slave was headed straight to it for a final confrontation. Time almost seemed to freeze as will met will, and metal met target.
And then they clashed! Unkillable slave's icy blade came in contact with Valkyri's shimmering purple aura. On contact, ice burst onto her shoulder and arm even if the blade could not penetrate. Encasing it partially in a block of ice. But at the same time...the drill would dig into him. Cutting through clothing, and flesh. He didn't have his aura up. As it dug in, blood would begin to soak the shield and drip to the ground...and the timer would finish. "And the fight is over!" The announcer would say. Ora, knowing the fight was over, would stand down and push him off the shield so the drill would not harm him further. Once off, the shield would be covered in crimson blood. And the splatter would lead back to Rey, who was bleeding freely from his torso. But he still stood. Be it by will, stubbornness, or determination. He picked himself up. His wound wasn't fatal, but it may leave a mark if he didn't get it healed right. And so they stood, Ora with part of her encased in ice (that she soon smashed off to remove) and Rey dripping with blood. Both fighters would hear the announcer again. "What an exciting match we have had today! Both contestants have done well, but there can be only one winner. Is it steadfast Valkyrie?" The announcer would pause, allowing for those in support of Valkyrie to cheer to show their support, and it was a loud roar. "Or is the the unkillable slave and his relentless assault?" He would pause, and another loud roar would rise from the stands. It was close, very close, but there was a winner...if only barely. "And the winner is the un-killable slave! While he may have lost the battle in the long run, he gave the best show for those in the arena. But lets have a round of applause for both our contestants for giving us a great match." He would announce, to another round of cheers. Aggression and style, something Rey excelled at for the fight, had won it for him. The contestants would be escorted from the arena, and offered any medical attention they needed (if they desired).
Giving the audience a break after the first match, a half hour intermission would take place. This allowed for people to go and buy any snacks/ beverages, walk around a bit/ stretch, and just generally get ready for the next match. It also allowed for time to make sure everything would be prepared for the next match. Beneath the arena, Grimm were being designated and prepared for the upcoming match. Lux and Nuntis were also below, having time to get ready for their upcoming fight. They could see the cages down there housing various grimm, more types than just the ones they would be facing. They would also see they appeared to be particularly agitated for some reason. One of the prior contestants having riled them up due to exposing them to a fresh batch of negative emotion despite all the positivity from the stands above.
"I hope you've all had plenty of time to rest after that first match, cause our second one is about to begin. You've seen a match of faunus versus faunus, aggression verses defense. But are you prepared for true aggression, a fight where no time outs are called till it is done? Well then we have the match for you. Introducing out contestants: Lucifer Lux and The Immortal Svafnir!" As the announcer finishes up his speech, with people in the crowd watching with anticipation, Nuntis and Lux would be brought up into the arena itself together on one platform. They would have the same arena as the last group; an island sporting a few palm trees and many jagged rocks of varying sizes. However, this time the waters were a lot more peaceful than in the last match. As they were revealed, they would also have an extra detail the others didn't start with. The un-killable slaves blood still dotted the field, with one pool from where the final clash had occurred. The people who ran the arena felt it would be appropriate, as while those above could not smell it, the two contestants very much could. "These two contestants are students from Beacon academy, as were the ones before them, and they are here to prove that the grimm can be beaten. That the next generation stands ready!" He would finish excitedly, allowing a small cheer from the crowd to form and fade. As he did, another few section of the beach would shift and the ground open to reveal a few cages. Each seemed to be enclosed by hardlight dust for now, but a few grimm could be seen inside. A few small lancers and beowolves. The grimm, seeing the duo and smelling the blood, seemed to go wild and banged against their barriers. "Without further ado, let the match begin!" As the announcer finished, a set of fireworks would go off...and some of the barriers went down with cages opening.
Three beowolves would be released, two in front of the duo and one behind, but all a decent distance away from him. They would howl, and would charge towards the duo. The two beowolves in front were closer than the one behind, giving them time to try and thin the numbers or at least fend off one attack before the next. As they charged two would be headed for Lux, as they thought her the weaker one, and the other for Nuntis. The beowolf from the front would try to go from a charge to a pounce to get the moth girl, while the one coming from behind would not be able to reach her quite yet. The one going for Nuntis was content just to charge, planning to sink his teeth into the human or knock him over. Despite being caged, these beowolves did not seem weak or malnourished. They must have been fresh catches.
Periwinkle hated this. Yes, she was excited to fight with her friend, Sva, but the issue was that she had to bring honor to her tribe. Therefore she wasn't allowed to use the name she gave herself, which then meant that her team needed to learn her real name. She hated this. At least she preferred to be called Luci, or Lux. Those were both very feminine names, Lucifer was not.
However, the most daunting thing for her was the fact that she had been convinced to get into a skin tight catsuit that had an open back. Part of her midriff was showing through mesh. She was wearing a green sash with a silvery texture above it. The top was more in a v neck, and she thought that her girls would fall out. On her feet were black and green heels. She wouldn't be convinced to wear anything else other than heels. For some reason it helped her balance on trees.
As they were lifted up, she would unravel her broken wings. She knew that she was long range, and they had decided that Svaf would act as an aggro of sorts while Peri would pick them off. She took a deep breath as she heard her real name used. It was time to attack the world. She would grip her gun in her hands, ready to fire.
Then they released the beowolves out. Two of them were making their way for her. Nope, just nope. Peri would take the pistol in her hands, and aim it at the one in front of her. In quick succession, she would fire off two purple bullets at the one in front of her, and then take off, so the one in the back wouldn't get her. She would quickly go to the palm tree in the middle of the island. Then she would change her gun into rifle mode.

Sváfnir Nuntis Son of Agmundr
Those who bare the mark of the Dragon....
Its happening! It's really happening. Sváfnir at this point was practically gushing large amounts of excitement, Standing in the arena battlefield with half of team APCN, Odds were not in his favor in terms of numbers. What more could a Warrior desire? As the Grimm were released the Warrior watched as Luci took the initiative by firing off a couple shots as the Grimm headed her direction before taking to the air and making way over to one of the funny looking trees. Sváfnir was caught momentarily in a daze as he watched his partner fly through the air, The sound or approach taking his attention as he looked forward noticing the Grimm had all intent to maul him if given the chance and he knew he Periwinkle was not one for the front line, Getting an idea Sváfnir grinned wide and would try to dive to his left, With the intention of quickly getting out of the direct path of the attacking Grimm, Now rolling to his feet quickly lining of his shot the warrior would fire off both of his anchors a good distance in front of him into the ground before reeling in an cleverly utilizing the side of his greaves to skid across the soft sand before coming up on the point the anchors met the ground and stepping hard with both feet dislodging the anchors from the ground at the same time tucking his feet as he launched himself in a furious forward spin.Immortal Impact Cannon!Sváfnir roared as he lengthened out and both feet poised to hit the with the full force of his attack.6:00 Luci!!Sváfnir followed up referring to his back hoping his teammate got the hint.

XXX As the grimm bore down on their opponents, trying to close the gap, one of their prey would take advantage of the distance. Seeming to fire beams of light to the beowolf in front, who in his charge chose to not try to avoid it. Even if it had it probably would not have done so well .So the first beam would hit, impacting the shoulder of the beowolf and knocking off a bit of the bone-like armor it had. Also slowing it down a tad bit, enough for the second shot to hit it as well; this time in the chest. There was a small singed wound there, and the beowolf howled in pain and fury. Eyes only on the winged bug it would crush. It continued its charge, speeding up, its pain fueling its aggression. But its prey had other plans. It would fly up in the air. The beowolf, committed in its charge, had to try and skid to a stop first before it could change direction. So focused on her it did not see what was coming.
For svaf, his sudden dive saved him. He would feel a rush of wind as the beowolf narrowly missed him, and rather than put on any breaks it kept running. But it would begin to turn, to circle back towards its target. Who it noticed was rapidly moving away, faster than it should have been. The beowolf also saw the one with wings up in the tree as well, seeming to hold something it vaguely recognized. A weapon that could hit from range; it remembered being ambushed and some of its pack dying to weapons like that. It made sure to keep an eye on both of its prey. It saw the one on the ground was on a direct collision course with one of its pack, so it howled and chased after him. Content to use it to his advantage so he could get him as well.
Svaf's plan had seemed to work. He had escaped the first grimm, and and was headed for the next. His anchors seemed to have found purchase even with the sand, having caught on a bit of the rocks, and he slid with ease across it to them. Momentum was built up. He combined the movement of dislodging anchors into a forward spin, momentum carrying him. And he impacted. The beowolf had not been expecting him to come, having been focused on the bug that caused him pain. The impact hit hard with all the momentum and Svaf's body weights, and not having planted its footing or prepared, the creature was sent flying a good few feet and impacted with a palm tree. Dazed, wounded, but still alive. As Svaf would land the kick, there would only be a second of solid ground. While still gathering his footing, he would feel something big impact him from behind and knock him to the ground. The beowolf from before had caught up with him. Despite his plan and Lux in rifle mode, this wolf would have dodged/taken any attacks coming to it and pounced at the very last moment. Pinning the warrior to the ground, it would growl before going to try and bite into his shoulder.
The last beowolf would come now as well. Its original target had gone to a tree, fairly high in it, and seemed safe for now. With one of its pack victorious, and the other dazed, it would continue its charge but towards the tree the winged one was on. Jumping, it would sink its claws into it and begin to try and climb up. Aiming to pluck the prey from the treetop and bring it crashing down to the ground.

Periwinkle would stand on the top of the tree, she had the butt of her gun on her shoulder, stabilizing it. She would look across the top of it. using the built in aim to get a shot. She would fire at the one that Svaf would indicate. The hope was that she would get that one in the heart, if such a creature had one. She hated Bewowolves. They stole her wings, and she would exterminate as many as she could.
Then, she would see that Svaf was pinned down. She reached into the front of her shirt. She'd quickly take out a decent Dark Orange crystal, and stick it in the barrel of the rifle. Then, in the loudest voice she could muster "Stay down!" She would then fire a bullet, allowing the aura bullets from her gun to activate the aura. The bullet itself would become a decent rock as it flew through the air. She aimed a little higher than she normally would for a normal bullet, to account for the size she thought the rock was going to be. The intent is to hit the Grimm, and knock it over, but not to hurt Svaf.

Sváfnir was incredibly excited about landing his attack on the unsuspecting Grimm a plan thought on the fly set into motion and going through perfectly gave Sváfnir a great sense of pride seeing he helped his ally, The warrior once he landed on his feet would feel the solid impact of the Grimm that chased him, Sváfnir hit the ground decently hard knocking the air out of him for a moment and managing to get pinned the warrior grit his teeth and tried to regulate his breathing through his teeth all while trying to break free of the pin before the worst could happen. Sváfnir froze hearing the reassuring sound of his comrade Luci yell out to him. "Stay down!" To which Sváfnir relaxed his body and poised his muscles to react once he had an opening, Which he had not doubt would come. Sváfnir in his pinned state noticed the last of the beowolf begin to try its hand at climbing the funny looking tree that Luci was perched on and the beowolf his attack connected with stood dazed a bit giving Sváfnir a few options to go off of. The sound of a single shot and the release of pressure signals Sváfnir's start pushing off the sand and twisting in the direction of the Grimm that had recently had him pinned giving the bladed chain of his right arm a few meters of slack as he would go to whip it around the neck of said Grimm and pull to let the teeth of the chain blade gain perch in the neck of the Beowolf. You are the best Luci.Sváfnir boomed happily, Once this exhibition was done he was treating Luci to a few slices of cake for such an astounding save.Luci below you coming up the tree! The Warrior warned audibly bracing for the inevitable fight back of the Grimm.

❝Never Trust a Nation to Care about You❞
Impressive. They seem to be two interesting faunus. I kind of wanted to see them beat the s**t out of each other more. However, I guess it cannot be helped. Let´s see what is next he would think in his head before listening to the announcer. So this was going to be a display of powers? Okay. Looking at the two, one was obviously a faunus but the other was human. OR so it would appear. TO Xylvester he looked human enough and he was not about to investigate since he was not the target. Receiving a transmission on his scroll, he would answer the call. "Hmm? NOT YET......so impatient.....It been okay so far... I will make a list.....I think one last ones? Or maybe next. I don´t remember....WIll do¨ He would end the conversation and take out a bag of peanuts. What was he there for? Who was his target? Luckily, he blended in well with all the other onlookers watching the matches unfold.
┏━━━━━━━━┓ Aurelia Hayes ┗━━━━━━━━┛ ✬Deputy Head Mistress of Beacon Academy✬ Shadow Education Minister✬
(Insert this post at the End of the Ora/Rey fight. I fell a bit behind sorry)
Smoke hid the pair, but thanks to the technology of the Arena, Aurelia was able to continue following the fight. Ora playing defence, while Rey attacked with aggression, both of them seeming to ignore the wave heading for them. Cold blue eyes watched on the screen in front of her, judging each of their movements. She approved of the use of dust by Rey. A good Huntsman used every tool they had. Ora seemed to know the attack was coming, swinging around her spear, but failed to dodge Rey's attack. Still, it was good instincts to know Rey was likely to attack her shining back, even if the result wasn't exactly successful. Instincts were hard to teach. How to defend against a sword attack was much easier. The environment could kill you as quickly as Grimm though, and Ora got the upper hand when the wave crashed over the pair. Rey should have used his time to deal with the wave instead of going for the kill, so to speak, in the Deputy's opinion.
With Rey far away, Ora went on the offensive. Rey had the upper hand before the wave, but now it seemed Ora was gaining momentum. After missing her first spear throw, she charged towards Rey, using the momentum to throw it a second time. Rey ran at Ora and pounced. Aurelia gave an annoyed tsk as Ora's drill dug into his chest.
While the crowd cheered, Aurelia busied herself with accessing the two students' profiles on the Beacon Database. Rey needed work on his defensive aura, she noted and perhaps acting more cautiously. Acting with aggression had cost him the fight in the end. However, he had done well with the utilization of dust, smoke bombs and using Ora's aura against her. Additionally, all of his attacks had landed, while he had avoided most of Ora's, but it was hard to judge if that was from skill, or from his opponent's choice to take most of the hits. For Ora, it was the opposite. Relying on your aura and toughness only got you so far, and if the wave hadn't have come, or if she had been against an opponent who didn't attack so blindly in the end, the outcome would have been much different. For the first few minutes, it had seemed like the girl was in trouble and had missed a few opening to strike back. However, her cautious approach, use of the wave and her shield had won the day. Naturally, Aurelia didn't care who the announce declared the winner. Ora had won that battle, and that was what she cared about, not who put on the best show.
