"They'll notice if I stop making quotas thoughm, and look for me." THAT was ingrained pretty quicjkly -- she was well aware what failure meant and she was, admittedly, not keen on the idea. The Lieutenant remained cautious, however, aware this Order woman could still respond poorly if she didn't listen. After all -- the Negaverse was regimented, so how could the other side not be?? This was the pervading logic as the woman considered how to phrase an answer. Really, Samsonite was from out of town. When the Negaverse needed more presence in Destiny City, she was packed up and shipped out into the city like every other agent deigned to have use there, so names seemed to mean little, the woman slowly frowning as she tried to think of phrasinhng her orders were standing orders -- go out, make quota, deal with anyone trying to stop you, keep an eye out for potential recruits. "I was recruited out of town." Samsonite finally said carefully. "My commanding officer isn't in the city and hasn't updated my orders for my arrival." There! That seemed good enough.

Ganymede was at a loss. She had no idea how to handle a situation like this. On the one hand, it seemed shitty to send the Lieutenant back to people who clearly didn’t care whether she was properly equipped with the tools or the information to make sure she lived instead of died. On the other hand, it wasn’t Ganymede’s responsibility to ensure that an officer was up to speed on all things Negaverse. Ganymede wasn’ even up to speed on all things Negaverse. She’d never even been in the Negaverse. What did she really know about it?
Well, she knew enough to realize this Lieutenant was woefully uninformed.
Shoulders sagging with a heavy sigh, Ganymede resigned herself to failure. There was only so much she could do for the Lieutenant that didn’t involve purifying her and bringing her to safety, and she could only do that if the Lieutenant actually wanted it.
“Someone should tell Laurelite she needs better Generals,” Ganymede said. “If you ever see her, tell her the Moon Queen says she sucks and she should be ashamed. First she sends you guys out without being able to defend yourselves, and now she’s letting you walk around without the right information.”
Maybe that was the point. Were clueless agents easier to control?

“You should know the answer to that question better than me, and the fact that you don’t is the entire problem,” Ganymede said.
If the Negaverse functioned the way she imagined it did, then yes, the Lieutenant would probably be punished for getting sassy with the Queen. Then again, if the Negaverse functioned the way Ganymede imagined it did, this Lieutenant wouldn’t be a Lieutenant at all.
“It was a joke, you know,” Ganymede added. “I don’t really expect you to say any of that to Laurelite. I’d do it myself, but I haven’t exactly seen her around recently. She’s either busy or she’s gotten lazy. Talking to you makes me lean more toward lazy. No offense.”NovaCracker Sorry for my delayed tags! crying Was focusing on the Halloween event for a while!

"I don't get bothered much. I kind of... Just try to gather energy and duck my head." Samsonite admitted calm ly. "There's no real reason to socialize with the others on ityy, otherwise. I mean, not really. Do my jopb, go home, go to bed. Don't antagonize anyone, and don't poke higher ups." Samsonite liked her little routine. Suire, between teaching and her quotas she didn't get much of a social life, buit it was something productive, even if she'd rather be painting. Or sculp[ting. Or.. Some other form of art. No... No, Samsonite had a responsibility and for that reason she was going to suck it up. "In fairness, ma'am, I'm not quite sure how I'd tell it's a joke. You're stronger than I am. You cvould probably tell me to do something and back it with force." That was the other thing really. She weas afraid TO rock the boat. Keep quiet. Keep safe. She didn't want to think what might happen if she did something amiss... Someone might try to retaliate.

“Yes, but I haven’t attacked you yet, have I?” Ganymede replied.
She didn’t feel as if she was getting anywhere with this Lieutenant. Not that she was trying to do much to begin with. She happened across low level Negaverse agents all the time. Some were friendly enough, though her suspicions of them never lowered. Others tried to attack. Those interactions were almost amusing these days, if only because none of the low level ones really stood a chance against her anymore.
That said, Ganymede didn’t think she was very threatening. Short and thin as she was, if it weren’t for her higher power level, she probably wouldn’t seem like much.
She wasn’t even at full strength right now, but if the Lieutenant didn’t already know that, it was probably best not to mention it. There was no point in giving herself away.
“Look, you can’t blame me for being suspicious, but if you’re not causing trouble or hurting anyone, then I’ll leave you alone. It’s late. I have a life outside of this. I’m sure you do, too. Why don’t you go home and call it a night?”

"O suppodr mot." Samsonite admitted. She looked to be thinking, though, and this wasn't untrue. Senshi were beyond her normal scope of knowledge. This was her second encounter with one and the Lieutenant wasn't sure what she thought. A lack of fight was good and pleasant enough -- and she wondered if perhaps it was corrupt senshi that were the problem senshi, which meant... She scrunched her face as something ticked over in her mind. Did chaos hurt senshi? Was that why senshi were so dangenrous? Chaos an d joining the Negavewrse? She didn't like that. She wasn't malicious, really -- more of a kind and warm flirt than anything perilous, and when Ganymede spoke again, Samsonite's head snapped to listen. "Maybe you should get something to eat, sugar. I'd be very upset if a corrupt came around looking for trouble and further interrupted your plans." Ther agent said, then motioned. "I have soime thinking I need to do -- I do appreciuate your talking to me, hon. I do. I'm just not always great at seeing things."?

Ganymede smiled at the Lieutenant, but it was a perplexed sort of look, like she was still trying to figure the Lieutenant out. She still couldn’t determine if the Lieutenant’s behavior was all an act, something to lull her into a false sense of security, or if it was genuine.
“Anytime,” Ganymede said.
It wasn’t a lie. She had no problem talking with agents, particularly the non-violent ones, even if she remained suspicious of them the entire time.
In the end, Ganymede decided to offer the Lieutenant another small piece of information.
“My name’s Ganymede, by the way,” she said before slowly turning away, watching over her shoulder to see if the Lieutenant recognized her name at all. Ganymede wouldn’t be surprised either way. “Ask around for me if you’d like to chat again.”

Sunshine Alouette I think your post should wrap it! "Lieutenant Sansonite." The Lieutenant smiled, and waved to the back glance. "I'll remember it. Please be safe!" Really, there were corrupts out there. For her part, going home sounded like a good idea. A fgew painting ideas were nibbling her at Ganymede's appearance, and she had some thinking and sleep to cover as well. Safety for now then, and conflict last.
