Cody saw how she reacted and could see just how made she was at him but he meant what he said. He looked at her when she yelled and then when she stormed out. He saw her zoroark glare at him as it followed suit but Cody stormed out after her but went the opposite direction as he had to blow off some steam. Metagross walked over and gave a metallic grunt as Cody nodded, "Yeah..." he said as the metagross hovered away and landed, which looked at Metagross, "Use metal claw." He instructed as he looked at boltund, "Use Thunderbolt." He said as the two pokemon trained and honed their attacks. Cody was using the training to calm down but heard a cough behind him, turning to find his grandmother. His pokemon stopped as he jumped, "Maw Maw, you should be resting!" He said surprised but she raised an eyebrow, "How can i rest with all the yelling and anger?" She asked as she held her cane in fromt of her, "I heard what was said, and she is right, I was hoping you would take over the family business." She stated as Cody sighed, "But Maw Maw, I dont know anything about any of this... I know battling and whatever winnings i get from this tournament, it was going to be used for here. I dont know ranching... i followed my father thinking he knew what he was doing helping the ranch but learned he was only into the fame. So i figured i would do what he didnt, use battling to help the ranch by getting more people knowing about it and helping supply it." He said as she shook her head, "We have plenty of business... and i didnt want you to stay because of being short handed... Yes i want you to take over the ranch but i want you to also help Violet. Shes such a lonely girl and i worry about her..." she explained and he looked at the ground, "Im fine with missing the tournament but my pokemon gave so much effort training, I dont want to waste it." He said but was then nudged by his metagross, which he sighed, knowing why it did it. He nodded to his grandma and helped her back inside.

He took a moment at the PC to retrieve something before he had Boltund sniff out Violet. When he did find her, Cody could hear her crying, "Violet?" He asked but seeing her Zoroark glare again, he held his hand up, "Hold up... I just want to talk." He said as he moved closer, "I want to apologize... I want nothing more then to help the ranch but i dont know anything about ranching since i left. Training, battling and that tournament were how i figured i could help the ranch, by promoting it and sending supples and credits." He explained but thought it over, "Though I was mostly just mad, not because i was missing the tournament, but because i didnt want to let my pokemon's effort to train go to waste." He said softly but looked at her, "Im sorry for yelling and I wanted to apologize and give you something." He said as he knelled by her and pulled out a primere ball. The white ball with the red ring shined in the late afternoon/early evening as it opened. The sparkling light revealed the snowwhite fur of an alolan vulpix, "I caught this little one around the same time as my alolan sandshrew and not needing two ice types on the team, i figured i would train her later but i just havent had time... however, If you would like, im sure she would be happier with you." He said kindly, knowing the vulpix would be happier with her.

He heard what she said but he sighed when she spoke, looking at the vulpix's primere ball. Its white orb surface as bright as the pokemon's fur coat, and cool to the touch. He heard her and shook his head, "I didnt want to come back because i feared i failed you and Maw Maw. I left with my dad because I thought he was doing the right thing but when I started my journey away from him, i learned he didnt care about the ranch, he cared about the fame. I followed a man who wasnt doing the right thing and I feared if i returned empty handed... I would be thought less of. I left one of my best friends behind because i followed dreams not of my own yet was too late to turn around on my path." He admitted, "Nothing I say can ever take the pain away and aside from my father who i stopped caring to keep track of a couple years ago... my grandmother is all I have left and yet her story is coming to an end. Everything ends and its always sad... but then things begin again and its happy." He said softly, "If you can forgive me and help me find my path home... Im more then happy to stay and Im sure my pokemon would be happy to help as well." He said as Boltund sat by him and gave a reassuring bark, tail wagging. Cody reached over and pet the electric dog but got up and gently held his hand to her to help her up, "Im not going to leave my friend again." He said kindly to her.

Cody looked at her when she spoke but smiled as she seemed to bond with the alolan vulpix quickly as she gave her a name. He nodded back to her as she thought it over, "Alright, sounds good." He said about heading back but as they began to walk, Boltund barked at Sebastian, challenging him to a race as Boltund did a quick circle as the electric dog pokemon had circled once more before running after the two human trainers as if saying go, running back towards the ranch.

Cody walked and let Boltund begin to have its fun to the ranch as they walked which he did notice that her zoroark kept an eye on him which he understood but did wish it would relax. He wasnt leaving and was going to stick around as long as he could. He looked at her as they walked, "Also if it means anything, when you two develop your teamwork or relationship, if you believe that Yuki is ready to evolve into a ninetails, I have a spare ice stone stored away. Obviously im not forcing it ever, and i know Yuki deserves a kind trainer to show her love better then i did but if you two believe shes ready to evolve at any point, i have one." He said kindly to her as he smiled softly and sincerely as they would return to the ranch which he figured it would be good to get the rest of the work done before it got too late.

Cody watched as Boltund tried to convince the dark type to play to no success but as the large fire type came to greet her trainer and nearly knocked her over, Cody watched as the ice pokemon met her new pokemon friend and teammate. When Archie replied to her, Boltund backed a bit at Archie trying to get him to race and run around, ready to play before the sun set. As Cody walked with Violet, they would find that Metagross had wondered over to the nursery and was looking in through a window. The massive steel type curious of the tiny pokemon inside, and even alolan sandslash was with it, having not seen the baby pokemon before.

The electric canine's tail wagged happily as it jumped side to side happily as the big fire canine accepted its play request. The two would chase each other around a bit, having fun as canines would. Cody laughed a bit, "Yeah, i wouldnt be surprised, Metagross has been with me for a bit and sandslash here is from the Alola region but even then im pretty sure neither of them have seen baby level pokemon like clefa or any like that." He said thinking that their were many pokemon the two hadnt encountered. When the little ones did come outside, Metagross looked at them, looking very big and towering as it gently lowered itself to make its body rest on the ground getting closer to the tiny pokemon as it examined them. The ice steel type sandslash tilted its head a bit as it looked the pokemon over, but then Cody smiled, "I have an idea... hey sandslash, use Ice beam over here!" He said directing sandslash away from the nursery as sandslash listened but as the ice/steel type used ice beam, he created a slide of sorts near Cody. When finished, Cody crouched looking at the young pokemon, "Come on, want to have some fun?" He asked happily.

He looked at her when she spoke, but nodded to her, "Of course... though looking around, seems the nursery might be the only thing for them... we can order a small play area for the pokemon, i have some winnings off gym battles if that will help." He stated as he had some good amounts of money earned from battles. He would gently pick up the pokemon that wanted to go down the slide and gently place them so they would go down. As Sebastian jumped from tree to tree, he jumped into one that had a napping Salazzle which the fire/poison type woke up with a reptilian hiss as her back flames flared some as a warning to the dark type. She didnt like being disturbed as she was comfy, and watched the dark type leave her spot to continue his patrol. The rest of the day was rather uneventful as Cody went to check on his grandmother for the evening and helped her out before helping Violet get dinner ready.

Cody slept well that night, and was dead asleep when he heard an explosion far away with the ground shaking a bit. He groaned some, "Metagross... its early." He groaned but then took a moment to realize it wasnt metagross's usually thump to wake him up since he was in bed and the sound was an explosion. On the edge of the ranch, the explosion was 1 of 3 trainers using his tyranitar to blow up the fencing as they were there to take from the ranch or attempt to as they wanted to continue to intimidate Violet who they assumed as once again alone. Sebestian was a good fighter and kept the 3 roughians at bay during previous attempts but they kept coming back with new plans for attack, they had plans on how to deal with Sebastian. Which seeing Violet, they smirked, "Figured we would stop by early for some shopping, what do you have in stock?" The lead ruffian asked.
