“Babies?” Karothdra’s eyes grew wide as her voice hit a high note. “Do you mean to tell me we will be having more than one?” Oh my! Most definitely not enough time to plan. However, Tyiva was right, they needed to be far more prepared than they were now. Karothdra agreed with it reluctantly. “Alright, alright.” She said, making a fake pouty face just in time for Gerim to run into the room.
“You called?” He said a bit out of breath, the Oban had been outside.
“Yes, I need you to run into the capitol and get us supplies for a journey.” Karothdra was making the mental preparations. “I’ll write up a few letters I need you to deliver. We’ll be leaving the house for a bit.” Karo put her arm around Tyiva’s and pulled her close.
“A journey?” Gerim looked between both of them curiously.
“Yes, we’re going to Chibale.” Gerim continued to look between them confused. However, he had long stopped wondering what they were up to.
“In the meantime, Tyiva and I will be going shopping. We’re going to move my office downstairs.” Then she turned to her love. “Is there anything children Alks need that we should get? Do you want to go shopping today?”

Tyiva's cheeks darkened into a flush at her slip, "It is possible. Aisha is known to grant children in pairs if not even sometimes triplets." Her antenna flicked sheepishly as she pondered over the thought. One child had been a big enough excitement but what if they were truly blessed with three? The thought made her own heart race. Possibly two but three? That would be a miracle! "We do have the space." She teased lightly as she poked at Karo's cheek while the earthling pouted, "We'll be blessed with children to run about before we know it. A few more days won't change that."
Latching onto Karo for support, Tyiva simply listened to the conversation between her lover and Gerim. I suppose this will be quite the surprise indeed. How would everyone react if they did come back with little hybrid children who had a mixture of them both? Her heart clenched nervously in her chest. Hopefully they would be more accepted here than by her own blood relatives. Not all Alkidikes were against hybrids....just the more purist families such as her own. Focusing back on Karo as she asked questions, Tyiva blinked thoughtfully. Would they need anything in particular? The Alkidike tilted her head, "I mean they will be part of you as well. I'm certain that anything typical babies need will be fine." She smiled, "We may look different but most younglings seem to be similar when it comes to raising them. I'm sure we can find plenty for them in the markets today." Shopping sounded like a great plan and a way to burn some of their excitement into gifts for the children that she prayed Aisha would give them.

“Alright Gerim,” Karothdra waved her hand in the air. “We’re going shopping, move the office please and then I’ll write you the notes so they can be sent when you go shopping at the capitol.” Gerim nodded and left them to their own devices, it seemed there had been talk of children! His duties were about to get a whole lot more complicated.
Turning to the Alk, Karo took Tyiva into her arms. “You’re going to give me a heart attack, three!” But she was laughing and giggling and Karothdra was happy. Ty had never stopped improving her life and here she was doing it again. She lightly brushed some stray strands from Ty’s face. “I hope they have your hair.” She said softly before giving her a kiss. “You’re going to have to teach me how to take care of it if they end up with yours.” A lot of things were about to change, she wondered what their children would look like. Surely Aisha would see that one child was not enough and would bless them with more. Karo wouldn’t mind more.

Tyiva flushed happily at the affection, "Don't worry I will." She replied quietly as she placed a light kiss against Karo's lips, "I'll just be happy to see both of us in them." A creation of their love. Tyiva could not be any happier. She was so blessed to have found Karo and she was eager to make a family with the woman she loved. It was hard to not want to pack up and leave for Chibale at that very moment but Tyiva knew that their patience would be worth the reward. She could already imagine the joy that little feet would bring to their home. Who knew that she would develop such strong feelings for an earthling and want to raise their children out here in the desert? I'm definitely not complaining about the surprise. She thought with a smile before kissing Karo once more.

The Oban sighed happily and grabbed her partner’s hand. “To the shops we go!” She could wait to teach the little ones to fight and dress the up. She briefly wondered if they’d get boys? Was that a thing? What if they did get a boy and a girl? Or just a boy? Or just a girl? Karo would be happy with whatever really, children in their life was going to be amazing. She was looking forward to asking Tyiva all of her questions on their journey to Chibale. She loved all of their adventures together, but this would be a different kind, especially with everything in their past.
Karo couldn’t have fallen for a more perfect person.
