“How can you forgive me for the way I broke up with you?” Without any real explanation. They had been high school sweethearts and it wasn’t she didn’t trust him with the truth its just… complicated.

“I honestly hoped that in this time you would have been able to find someone else, someone normal that could make you happy.” Yet for the last six years, she had denied herself the same thing. The guilt of that day weighed heavily on her shoulders and for a while, seeing couples skating together around the rink made her heart ache with sadness. It happened a lot less frequently over the years but then there were times that the hurt came flooding back without warning.

Brianna had tried to set her up on some blind dates but as far as anyone could tell she had a bit of a frozen heart and there really wasn’t anyone willing to work through the sheet of ice surrounding it.

What was the point of dating someone if she had to keep her powers a secret from them? Her sister argued that they could find some other powered senshi or knights and see if they could hit if off with someone who already knew about this part of their lives but Fiona hated powering up so much because it ruined her life, she didn’t want it to be a bonding point with someone who actually enjoyed fighting and magic.

Fiona brought her arm up to wipe away the tears with her sleeve.

For as calloused as she seemed, focused on only work and just pushing people away, she honest to God truly missed him. The regret and guilt had shadowed her for so long that she honestly felt her role as the Senshi of Cold implied more than just the temperature outside.

It was cruel of her not to trust him before. “I’m sorry,” her voice quivered while tears continued to fall freely. “I’m so sorry.”

Always kind.

Always considerate.

He had been there with her through thick and thin. Studying together through school exams and just winding down from stressful days. Breanna, her twin, was more carefree and wild which often put her on edge but Fionan… Fionan had a way of making her feel centered in the midst of turmoil and chaos. But when she needed him the most, her own fear kept her from reaching out and instead pushed him away.

If you truly love someone, let them go. If they come back then it was meant to be. Was that what the red string was saying? Is this her second chance?

“I’ve missed you so much, Fionan.” She admitted honestly.
