✹XxXxX It seems these were pre-made by a local cook nearby, Tenka would check out this ladies food, maybe another day when he was off he always wanted to get recipes and practice new meals. He looked around the apartment they were in was a bit small than his. "Maybe next time i'll cook for you all. I could do a hot pot." He said quietly, he continued observing the room some more, before returning his attention back to Awai. She mentioned she was out with Junko. Those relationships of being with another seemed so alien to him. "Eventful, and informative." He said briefly to answer Awai's question part of his day included Shade, so he was seeing him a lot today. The male got up off the couch and sauntered over to sit with the rest, taking his place at the Table, or where he presumed he would sit, He noticed that one dish was slightly different than the rest must of been Awais. Haruka had already started eating, so he did the same, picking up a spoon he scooped some up, blowing lightly on the steaming curry until it was safe enough to put in his mouth, He then began tasting the curry, it was a simple dish, however it hold a good amount of flavor, so the mystery chef was a hit. He swallowed the dish nodding to himself.

⚉XxXxXShade finally took a bite of food as he listened to Awai a small smirk crossing his lips as she mentioned Jun, a jounin that she had eyes for. Though as Haruka teased about a date, he rolled his eyes. "It's hard to be on a date with a third wheel genin." Shade pointed out after swallowing his food. When the question turned on him he couldn't help but get an annoyed look on his face. "I didn't get a chance to train much today. A series of events prevented me from sitting down and trying to create the jutsu. Though I think I have the concept down, just have to try and put it to practice." Shade said before taking another bite of food allowing Haruka to respond to Awai's question, as well as his own about how his day went.
⚉XxXxXThough his face reddened at Haruka being his usual lovey dovey self. "Honestly. I'm sitting here, in basic b***h scrub clothes. How is this cute?" he asked with a raised brow. Soon Tenka spoke up about next time that he would possibly host and make a hot pot. Shade wondered when the last time he made a hotpot himself. It had been a while, maybe he would pick up the ingredients for one over the weekend for him and Haruka to have one night. When the other responded about his day. Shade took another bite of his food before turning his attention back to Awai. "So, when are you going to ask Junko out on a real date?" he asked bluntly. "It's not like the two of you are strangers at this point?" He asked before taking another bite of his food.

↝XxXxX Awai picked over her curry, Awai looked between the couple and Tenka, as if waiting for each of them to respond to her questions. Tasting the curry a wide smile crossed her lips as she took a few more bites of the spicy dish. However, once hearing Haruka tease the chuunin, Awai's cheek lit up in a bright shade of red, "No! It wasn't like that- w-we were just training!" She managed, her attention flickering back to the food, even drawing up her plate closer to her to draw attention away from her. As Haruka went back to talking to Tenka briefly, the jinchuriki would lower her plate in an attempt to relax. Then going on about his day, the girl was composed, now no longer red but brief traces of pink as she placed her utensils down, "Did... you get high with the old man? Seems like that would be the reason murders happen....?" Then again; Haruka was capable of holding his own. Much like the others around the table. Chuckling as the Yuki addressed Shade differently- and quite frankly the most adorable! -Awai would giggle knowing it would rile up the boy a fair amount. She wish she had that. Someone of her own to tease and call cute names; but, being a extreme ball of an anxious mess that she was, that was far from reach.
↝XxXxX Awai would turn towards Tenka as he finally responded himself. At the mention of a hotpot, the girl would tilt her head slightly to the side. A term she hadn't heard before- was that... some form of shinobi green? She believe she had heard the term used there; hotpot? Boxpot? Pothot? "What's a hotpot? Is it vegetarian?" Stirring around her curry to ensure the heat equally displaced amount it's self so it didn't get too cold. Seems Tenka was a man of few words. Not very much elaborating on how his day had been; "Oh! Did anything exciting happen? Do any training? What did you learn?" Awai had always tried to get the boy to talk to her in the academy whether it was by choice or not. It was a little estrange to see him not as open around what she would assume to be his friends? "You're still a man of few words- never opened up after the academy, huuuuuhhhh?" She poked fun at the male as she then shot a playful grin at him.
↝XxXxX Her attention would finally turn to Shade. Ignoring his first remark for the sake of her sanity, Awai furrowed her brow, "Oh- sorry to hear that, Shade. But, it's good to hear that you have the basics down!" She smiled at the green haired boy. Watching as he turned then to Haruka with a reddened face himself, Awai chuckled at the remark, "Awwww, but Haruka is into the lazy boy look!" Pure assumption and only to antagonize the male further. Stirring around the curry even still, the jinchuriki would briefly glance up to Shade seeing him turn to her then. Lifting up the last bit of her curry, her eyes widened as she coughed abruptly. "WHAT?!!??!!?" Coughing a couple times, Awai scrambled out of her seat or rather leaning over out of her seat to reach into Haruka's bag. Grabbing out one of the fizzy drinks, she downed it before gasping for air. Choking on curry was not on her agenda for today, but neither was being put on the spot, "Nonononononononono- I can't ever do that." Coughing a couple more times as her throat cleared, Awai's face lit up bright red once more, "We're just friends- nothing between us... He doesn't see me that way." Rubbing at the bridge of her nose awkwardly, she could recall the spot of honey that was pressed against the tip of her nose from the jounin, "I'm-- far... too... weird for him anyway..." Taking another long drink of the fizzy drink, Awai would clear her throat, "A d-d-date with Junko... How absurd!" Now attempting to laugh it off, the girl would grow silent once more, her attention now locked on to her meal.

XXXHaruka snickered at Awai's question about the old man. "You got me, we may or may not have gotten high. Old man was a Senju- he had a lot of good sh*t, ehe." He playfully rolled his eyes, "Awwww. I'll be fiiiine, Waiiiii," he flippantly flicked his wrist, leaning back while using one hand as support for his weight. "Besides, old guy was a real pal- gave me tips on life in general- live life to the fullest but don't be stupid about it, sort of stuff. Good guy." He grinned, thinking about the wholesome, somewhat goofy, conversation he had that lasted almost two hours.
He swallowed his hot curry and grinned at Tenka when the other man offered to make hotpot for the group. "Hot pot sounds pretty good, man!" He turned to Awai, who asked about the type of hotpot that's available, "Yeah, you can have different kinds of hotpot- It's like a soup. I think you'd like it, Wai." He's had so many hotpots in his day, that Haruka was kind of excited to try hotpot made by someone outside of his family or a restaurant chain. "Just give a time and date, Ten." Haruka's smile was replaced with a curious frown, and the Yuki cocked a clean brow at Tenka's response to Awai's question. He recalled that Tenka called his earlier garden retreat, "A fateful encounter." Was that the, "Eventful and informative" experience he was referring to? Shade followed with his own response to Awai's question.
"Awe, seriously? Bummer." Haruka's shoulders slumped. "I know how passionate you are about your sound jutsu stuff. What happened, exactly, babe?" Haruka took another spoonful of his spicy curry, which was beginning to cool by this point- though not by much. After slowly swallowing his food, Haruka let out a pain-filled sigh. He listened to Shade's reply to his previous comment about how cute he was, followed his Awai's rebuttal. Haruka pitched in, a toothy grin on his face as he slung an arm around his boyfriend's shoulder. In the corniest tone of voice he could muster, Haruka said, "Baby, you're so hot, you can make a potato sac look couture." He pointed a finger pistol at Shade's direction, followed by an exaggerated wink. "Shade, I can't think straight around you." Another wink. "Do you have 11 protons? Because you're sodium cute." Wink. "If I could rearrange the alphabet, I’d put ‘U’ and ‘I’ together." Wink. "I must be a snowflake, because I've fallen for you." Wink. Haruka gently tugged on his own shirt. "Feel my shirt. Know what it’s made of? Boyfriend material." He took in a deep breath, "I was wondering if you had an extra heart. Because mine was just stolen." Haruka perked his brows, as if impressed with his onslaught of corny pick up lines before going back to eating his curry as if nothing happened.
Haruka quietly squealed at Shade's comment about Awai and Junko, and swung his head to Awai when she started choking and went for one of his sodas. "Aweeee you just got called ouuuuuuuuut." Haruka did a little jig in his seat, laughing quietly at Awai's priceless reaction. "Awai, you're a total 10. Nah. 100. No. 1000. Stop doubting yourself. You are Awai. Shedo. Chunin. Official. Bad. a**." Haruka set his spoon down. "You are kind to everyone you met, funny, and cool. Right, Shade?" Haruka glanced at Shade for a moment before turning to Awai. "Wanna know what else that old man told me? We regret the chances we don't take. No pressure but... You totally have the A-Game to knock his socks off." Haruka gave another toothy grin and a thumbs up at his friend's direction.

✹XxXxX Tenka continued to eat in silence, It seems everyone was having a good time. Talking among themselves, this wasn't unusual to him to not talk in groups. He had always been the silent type in missions. Studying shade clothes after he commented on his clothes, Tenka didn't have much to say when it came to fashion, The clothes he wore were rather bland as well, a common long sleeved shirt and beige pants to match. Shifting his eyes away from the group, he continued to eat, taking scoops of the curry blowing on it to cool it down before consuming it. His attention was perked as someone spoke to him, looking back up to Awai who had asked about Hot pot, "Well yes it can be Vegetarian, it's much like soup, and culturally it's used when dining with friends to improve friendship its a great dish to share." He added onto Haruka's comment about what it was. "It's just soup broth with a bunch of fresh ingredients." He gave a slight smile, to reassure what it was, "I implore you to maybe give me some ingredients you'd like to add, If we wanted to make something separate, i could do stir fry if that's more appealing." The job of a chef was to ensure the palate was up-to par with standards set out by the ones he was serving.
✹XxXxX Awai who had pursued more questions for him. He was unsure about the feeling of someone prying, however he has known Awai for a good chunk of his life, so it was fine she was asking. They were more acquaintances, and he had felt as she wanted to be more than acquaintances, and be friends. He indulged and decided to try and speak. This was the reason why he came here, to learn about social mannerisms among others his own age outside of just training. His eyes shifted away for a moment. It seemed she was really trying to get him to talk, using playful gestures to hopefully get him to speak. "Never had had much to say to people they tend to not listen, I was just the weird kid who came here by himself no family, and unknown variable, besides keeping to myself was just easier. As for training it's been going well, I've been studying a lot of Fuinjutsu, a personal hobby of mine, I'm just trying to find some answers on a specific seal a memento of my Father." He gave a fake smile as he said his fathers name. There was a reason to why he would keep to himself a dark past surrounded his life, this was an escape from that life, that he once knew. Saying his piece his gaze shifted to Haruka, who had been using odd terms to describe Shade, He didn't know if he was Uncomfortable, The feeling of love in the air was constricting him it almost as if he couldn't breathe. He coughed and took a deep breath and took his gaze away from the too. The thought of affection was very foreign to him. Carrying on eating his curry, Tenka was the one out of the group to not experience these feelings every teen did, at this point in their life or even a bit younger it was natural. Love a concept he couldn't wrap his head around, with a damaged past such as his. It was only natural he had ill feelings towards that specific subject. Though he didn't want to make a fuss so he didn't say anything at all.

⚉XxXxXShade listened as Awai and Haruka spoke about the old man, though he rolled his eyes at the question to begin with. He didn’t understand why the two of them liked weed, then again, neither of them cared for drinking. To each their own he guessed. Taking the last bite of his food he smiled as he leaned back on his hands facing the table as the conversation progressed to describing what a hotpot was to the other female. “I know that my dad used to make it with Tofu some days, it can be done.” he commented. It was then that Awai started to ask Tenka questions about his day, trying to get more information out of the other chunin. It had only taken the barrage of questions for Tenka to indulge the female. Though it wasn’t any different than when Tenka had been in the squad with Haruka and himself. Though there was a difference… Shade moved towards the kitchenette to grab himself something to drink now that he was done with his food. Earlier in the garden, Tenka had spoken differently of his father than he did now. Though the green haired male stayed quiet as he poured himself a glass of juice before returning to the table, sitting down next to Haruka once more. When Haruka brought up his question, on what had happened to prevent him from trying to learn his jutsu. He was hesitant. “Something scared off all the animals, so I couldn’t see if the jutsu would put someone to sleep.” he shrugged.
⚉XxXxXThough as soon as he sat back down, Awai pointed out that Haruka enjoyed the ‘Lazy boy’ look… well that earned a look from Shade. Before he could reply to her though, an arm wrapped around his shoulder and the weight of his boyfriend added to his frame. Turning his look to Haruka, his mouth opening to speak. He froze after the first line, trying to understand it. But as it continued, his face grew redder and redder. He didn’t know what it was. The voice, or the cheesy winks… or the corny pickup lines that the other rattled off. But Shade’s face was as red as an apple by the time the other finally finished his string of lines. His green eyes and hair contrasting against his red face. “I am never… letting you read pickup lines on candy ever again.” he said trying to forget everything that had just transpired… though it was going to be a while before his face would return to it’s normal shade.
⚉XxXxXThough, thankfully, he was not going to be the only one embarrassed as Awai started to go on frantically that there was nothing going on between her and Junko. The green haired male gave her a blank stare as she finished with how ‘absurd’ the idea was. A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth as Haruka backed his own thinking about the female. “He is right, Awai.” Shade said when Haruka asked. Taking a drink of his juice while Haruka finished up his part of the rant. Shade set the glass down in front of him, leaning forward on the table. “Haruka is weird and I’m dating him… You can date him, you just have to ask him.” Shade said, trying to keep a straight face since he knew the comment would get something out of Haruka. “Heck the compilation of people in this apartment right now is extremely weird seeing how all of us are drastically different from one another. So why not just ask the man out, go have a wonderful evening, and then worry about if he thinks you're weird after the date? You won’t know until you try after all.” Shade said before taking another drink of his juice.

↝XxXxX Awai fumbled with her fingers now, her mind drifting over what has been said. Sure. She had known Junko for some time now, did find quite the interest in him... She just... was too shy and self reserved to even make a move. The idea of even remotely speaking a word to the jounin about taking a step outside of their friendship in any form, made her chest swell. Almost overwhelming her to the point of verbally screaming. Her attention would lift to Haruka as he then would go on a tirade of pick up lines to the green haired boy. It brought a smile back to her lips as she lightly chuckled, only to be silenced as Haruka turned back to her. It was weird to think that Haruka could quite possibly be the best hype man she's had- which wasn't saying much given her minimal amount of close friends, "But- not to sound cliche or anything... or to be that person but; what if he doesn't feel the same?" Childish. This was utterly childish and the chuunin knew it. Why was she like this. She was able to run a shop on her own, make friends with a demon, but can't even ask a boy out? How pathetic! Another frown tugged at her lips then as she sighed softly.
↝XxXxX Blowing off the topic once more as each of the boys would take a moment to explain a 'hotpot' the the woman. So, it was a soup made with nearly anything... Interesting! Awai generally would eat anything- so as long as it followed her diet and lifestyle changes. "I-I see. I would be interested in trying it! It sounds like it would be pretty tasty." Now looking to Tenka as he had enlightened her with a response to her questions, "Nonsense! You're among friends now!" She tried to cheer the gloomy teen up with a wide smile, "I'm glad your studying is coming together! I do hope you achieve whatever it is you're trying to do!" She smiled at him, even giving a thumbs-up for encouragement.
↝XxXxX Her attention would turn to Shade as he spoke her name. Her smile hollowed in as she pressed her lips into a thin line. Her fingers twirling now nervously in her muddled hair. They were both so encouraging, trying to push the woman to the active point of asking out the jounin. Her knees would pull up to her chest then as she sunk in on herself. Her chin sitting on top of her knees as she shrugged her shoulders lightly. Awai could be a little abrasive and it seemed Junko didn't have a mean bone in his body. No to mention- Awai was still considering giving up her path of the shinobi to pursue artistry. "I- don't know..." She muttered out as her gaze turned to stare at the blank wall past the group. Waving the trio off, the girl shook her head, "But, please. Enough about me." Feeling bad at the point for stealing the room's attention to probe at her own issues, the jinchuriki gave a half smile as she tugged at the light fabric around her body, trying to calm herself down.

XXXShade's reaction was, to say the least, adorable. Adorable enough to make Haruka quietly chuckle while gently nudging the other man's shoulder with his elbow, "C'mon, you know you like it." It seemed that the conversation of romance had probably made the air a little tense: Tenka was possibly choking on his curry, Shade looked like a tomato, and Awai was still quite flustered from the group's previous conversation about her and Junko's relationship. There was only one thing that Haruka could do to remedy this. After scraping off the remainder of his curry, the young man rummaged through his bag and pulled out a fat blunt and lighter. "Let's ease the atmosphere with some good ol' Shinobi Green." Perhaps it will open Tenka's airways and bolster Awai's confidence. As for Shade, no doubt he'll reach for some sake.

✹XxXxX Turning to shade who had made a comment about their being no animals for him to practice his new jutsu, remembering what had happened in the gardens. "Sorry shade." he finally said after a long while, for it was his fault with his explosion that had caused the animals to be scared away. He looked back at Haruka, he furrowed his brow slightly. "No thanks, that would not be the best of ideas." He said then his eybrows returned to normal, to more or less get the point across. For he wouldn't know what sort of effects would befall him, would he lose control? He couldn't possible risk it. "For everyone's safety, i must remain sober." he said solemnly. "I'm sure you can back me up on that shade." He would leave it at that, If they asked he would tell, but there were somethings he would like to remain hidden. The questions had no longer been pelting him, he relaxed his shoulder easing the tension, Seems Awai was satisfied with the answers she got from him. Now she was the one getting bombarded with questions. "Take your time, Don't rush." He said casually, for he was not the one to ask about relationships, but for one thing he knew things take time to grow and blossom. "Nothing will change, unless you step forward, don't let your vision get clouded of what you seek." He gave a light smile, he was not sure if that was advice but that's what he felt that needed to be said at this moment. after all.

⚉XxXxXSoon silence fell on the room, as it started to get later in the evening. There was poking fun at one another as well. Though that was normal between the three friends, during dinner discussions it often fell into that trap, as one another discussed their time apart. At Awai’s last comment though Shade would look at the female. “How will you know if you don’t try?” he asked before bumping Haruka, if only to make a point. The two were just about polar opposites. Haruka was lazy, Shade was productive. He was a pothead, Shade liked to drink… and speaking of pothead… His green eyes narrowed at the other as he broke the tension by offering up some of the ‘shinobi green’ as he called it. At which point, the green haired male started to stand up, grabbing a hold of the pillow that he was sitting on. Before Haruka could react to Shade standing up, the Nara swiftly swung the pillow, hitting the other male in the face. “How many times, must I say. You do not smoke in my apartment.” he said catching the blunt and lighter before it could hit the ground after flying out of Hakura’s hand. Shade hadn’t hit the other hard enough to do any sort of damage with the pillow, just enough for a surprised stun.
⚉XxXxXLooking over at Tenka as he spoke, Shade let out a sigh. “Yea, best you keep stable.” he muttered as he walked towards the kitchenette to grab the sake bottle he had hidden in the cupboard. He doubted tonight would be a long night for the group, since it was already getting late. Crossing the room to the balcony he set the blunt and lighter down on the table that was outside. Looking down over the railing he watched as people walked by making their way home or to the bars… The finalizing words of Tenka matched up with his own, taking the lid off the sake bottle, he took a short swig of the rice alcohol. Awai and Haruka may enjoy their smoke, but Shade preferred the burn of sake. The smell didn’t linger as long.

↝XxXxX Once the chatter seemed to divert around the room to less being pointed. Awai visibly relaxed more. Her attention would turn to the pastel boy and seeing him pull out a blunt and a lighter. Furrowing her brow for just a moment, the woman had forgotten the last time she partook in the greenery. But, regardless, she was interested in it. Nodding to him as if stating she was in, Awai would then smile lightly, "Say no more." The woman would push herself up from the pillow, picking it up as she went. FLuffing it out and cleaning off any debris she would toss it back down into her place before striding out towards the balcony as if by instinct. She knew Shade was highly against anyone smoking in his apartment.
↝XxXxX Before she could reach the outside, she would stop and turn to Tenka as he spoke. Hearing that he would be refusing the greenery this time, the woman would nod. She could understand, some people either got really sick after smoking or they just didn't have a good experience. However, once he said that Shade could back him up on the subject, it had the woman tilting her head in confusion. Regardless, she waved it off. Maybe she would hear about it later. Smiling at him and nodding towards his advice on the subject of Junko, the woman would shrug softly. She was done with the subject, for the moment.
↝XxXxX Awai would turn to Shade then and shrug her shoulders lightly once more. All of their reassurance was quite a bit to process. Perhaps she would get stoned and give it some more thought. Which lead her to also realize that she would soon be having to repay Haruka back for all of the Shinobi Green they had been sharing over a period of time. Watching the green haired boy then reach below himself at the pillow then hurling it towards Haruka, the chuunin would stifle a chortle at the sight. "Maybe he's already baked by the time you tell him every time? Hopefully he'll remember now!" Still laughing at the small scene, the dark haired woman would then turn to step outside. Once out in the cool air of the night, she would take in a deep breath. Silly that she would be as hard headed as she was but have a issue with talking to someone she liked... Maybe she would just have to get out there and tell him; throw everything out before him. Leaning over the railing as she crossed her arms over one another, she wondered what Junko was up to this evening.... Maybe she would go see him tomorrow.

XXXBefore Haruka could blaze up, he was attacked by another pillow- this time without the luxury of napping on it. His blunt and lighter fell from his hands, and his tall frame would fall to the ground, his mind in a slight blur from how quick the surprise attack was (and how he was still coming down from his previous high). "Acha acha acha, babe~" Haruka rolled over, groaning quietly in exhaustion before pushing himself up- his face fixed in a pout as he trotted over to Shade and took his lighter and blunt. Awai's theory that Haruka could have been too high to remember about the smoking rule... Well, it was true. It was totally true. "I'm sorryyyyy... I lost myself in the green. I'll repay you with a new bottle of sake tomorrow." Haruka winked at the other man and was prepared to follow Awai to the balcony, but stopped when he heard Tenka. Haruka hummed in curiosity at the brief exchange between the clay ninja and Shade. He wondered why Tenka couldn't indulge in any greenery, but perhaps it wasn't too deep to be thought over to begin with. Haruka shrugged gracefully before dancing his way outside and closing the balcony door behind him. He glided over to Awai while lighting up his blunt, giving her the first puff. "Ladies first." Food, friends, and Shinobi Green. Couldn't this night get any better?
