"Told you." Skeena smirked knowingly at her friend. Well at least there was something she could do to always make him happy. Boys were wonderful, simple creatures. Unless they were your brothers, then it was complicated beyond words.
It was fun to hang out with someone else. She hummed and hawed over the menu and then decided to just get him a grilled steak matori style.
A special marinade that was hard to describe but divine all the same.

He sighed with contentment, he was so full after so long of not eating. He felt happy and peaceful to the point where his eyes were drooping by the time she fed him the steak too.
She walked him back to his hotel room her father ghosting along behind them keeping them safe.
"Well thank you for today, my arrival could have gone very differently."

She was happy to see him so content. She sensed that he had been under some sort of stress for a long time and she hoped that Matori could shelter him well from his problems a new place was a new start.
"Good night Ikaika, don't forget to check out the starts tonight. Matori has the best stars." Not that she had seen the others, she just knew!

"Good night Skeena, I'll see you tomorrow for breakfast I hope, I really do appreciate the help, I'd be lost without you." He chuckled and headed up to his really cool room now that he had a chance to look at it.
He was the luckiest menehune! He folded himself in the blankets and for the first time in what seemed like forever he felt like maybe he was home.

"I'll be there." she said before she left to walk home hand in hand with her dad. What a great day it had been. It was fun making new friends! She wanted to make a lot more friends now.
Skeena slept a peaceful dreamless sleep that night, while Ikaika watched the stars.
