”I suppose there’s not, but.. There is the ocean, and I’ve never seen beyond the horizon. I heard the stars at sea are stunning, unlike anywhere else in this world.” There was almost a dreamy look in Itri’s eyes as he imagined it. Sailing off into the sunrise, the feel of the ocean breeze on his skin.
He could only dream of the time when he’d be free to go explore on his own.
“Ah, but yes!” For the moment, while he waited to be called back to the kitchen, he knelt down beside the table, placing his note pad on it, and began to scribble on a sheet, drawing what seemed to be a map.
“There are a few places I’d very much recommend! For sites, there’s the top of a bell tower that you can get up to, a church to our Gods, but it’s open to the public. If you get up there, you can see all around the city! And.. Here...” He drew a squiggly line, ending with a little scribble of a piece of candy. “Here, you can find the best candy in the entire country, in my opinion! I’m sure you’d like that, huh little one? You can let the know Itri sent you, and you can get a piece of whatever you’d like for free! I recommend the honey rounds!”

When the young man mentioned seeing the stars while at sea Gael gave a nod of his head. "Oh yes. The starlit sky is breath taking. As long as the skies are clear then its never a dark night." The hundreds of stars that shone in the sky were enough to light up the night and show the way. Gael actually loved clear and calm nights. He often would spend hours on deck just looking around at the beauty of it.
He watched as the boy knelt down and started to draw a map of the town for them. A small smile took shape then. The hospitality of this town was different from the others he'd been to. Unless this boy was just different from the others. A laugh rumbled in his chest as candy was mentioned. "You've unleashed a monster, boy."

She was back to swinging her legs to and fro as the boy spoke about the stars. Brexxa had thought them pretty too. Her dad confirmed it and she nodded along. Of course she'd tried to do what her dad did and watch the sky for hours but she usually ended up falling asleep a few minutes in. Her orange eyes went to the boy as he put his little pad on the table and started to doodle. She was watching the drawing as it unfolded. A map! Brexxa perked up some as she heard the boy describe the places. Being able to go into a tall tower would be fun on its own but to be able to see the whole town from it? That was even better. Of course her smile turned into a grin and a squeal when he mentioned candy. Gael was right about that. "Candy! Do they have taffy? Its stretchy and salty sweet!" Not to mention sticky.

Ahhh! They were both so cute, the way their eyes lit up over fond memories, and shared experiences. It was as if they were living his own dream, to travel together with his loved ones.
To say he was jealous was to say the least!
But it was a sweet sort of jealousy, laced with a bit of longing rather than any bitterness.
“Yes, they do! Made from the salt they get from the sea. It’s sweet and salty and just the perfect amount of stretchy! I know you’ll adore it!” One last mark was made on the map,
“And this is my favorite spot in the entire area. It’s a huge hill, covered in flowers right on the highest cliff facing the ocean. It’s the perfect place for a cute little girl and her handsome daddy to eat their candy and watch the sun set.”

He laughed at Brexxa's response to the candy store. It had been totally expected but it still made him laugh. The sound deepened when the server boy just added to her excitement with confirmations. He brought a hand up to cover his mouth then cleared his throat to try and calm his laughter down.
When it was manageable he looked back at the map and grinned. A nice place to relax and watch the sun set would be interesting. Though he had a feeling his daughter would been too busy picking flowers to much care about the rest of the scenery. "Thank you, its nice to know there are some places to take her so she has a good time." And he meant that. Gael wanted his daughter to enjoy their travels and this boy had just helped immensely.

Brexxa Post 7 Her eyes widened as the boy told her about the taffy. One thing after the other and her little eyes ended up as big as saucers! She was bouncing on the edge of her seat as she looked from server, to map, to her dad, then back to the boy. The grin that took up most of her face was pure excitement. "I wanna go! Daddy! Can we?" She meant right now. When another place was marked on the map she dropped her eyes to it and waited to hear what was there. Flowers was all she heard and instantly she was nodding. "Pretty flowers and candy!" Clearly she didn't care about the rest of the description. Brexxa was a simple little girl and she was had with two words. Candy and Flowers.
