Was this one of those moments? Maybe? She pulled her head back enough to peer at the coated bread, cheeks warm from realizing what a stereotypical couple moment this was. Well, it did smell good. Her gaze rose again with the encouraging words. "Time fer us.." she murmured, finding the phrase just as tantalizing as it was foreign. It would be steps; one day at a time. It really wasn't just her anymore. She took a deep breath and leaned back forward. "I do remember how ta feed myself," she challenged before taking a bite anyway.
The touch of the sweet honey made her stomach grumble, reminding her that it had been a while since the meal night before. She quickly followed it with a piece of fruit, chewing thoroughly as she debated her next words. "Last night.. meant a lot... was nice," she murmured around the food with her eyes off to the side, purposely trying to muffle herself out of bashfulness. After announcing earlier that it wasn't going to mean anything, she felt the need to redact her statement. Now that everything was in the open.. perhaps it was redundant, but it still felt good to say.
