Kian's tease earned a narrowing of Rhonann's eyes, but she followed along with the pull anyway. "Butthead," she huffed lightly. Figures that it was a sassy little thing like Kian that she fell for. Still, he had his moments~

Was this one of those moments? Maybe? She pulled her head back enough to peer at the coated bread, cheeks warm from realizing what a stereotypical couple moment this was. Well, it did smell good. Her gaze rose again with the encouraging words. "Time fer us.." she murmured, finding the phrase just as tantalizing as it was foreign. It would be steps; one day at a time. It really wasn't just her anymore. She took a deep breath and leaned back forward. "I do remember how ta feed myself," she challenged before taking a bite anyway.

The touch of the sweet honey made her stomach grumble, reminding her that it had been a while since the meal night before. She quickly followed it with a piece of fruit, chewing thoroughly as she debated her next words. "Last night.. meant a lot... was nice," she murmured around the food with her eyes off to the side, purposely trying to muffle herself out of bashfulness. After announcing earlier that it wasn't going to mean anything, she felt the need to redact her statement. Now that everything was in the open.. perhaps it was redundant, but it still felt good to say.

"Yeah but what's the fun in that?" Kian teased lightly as Rhonann finally took a bite, "Plus I can always just steal some back." He plopped the remaining bite into his own mouth with a grin. It was strange acting like a normal couple but for once he wanted to try it. They could go back to bickering and having adventures soon enough. Would it be so bad to just take a day to themselves? Last night had already been a huge leap and well...he wanted to cherish the moment. If anything the last few years of adventures and back and forth had taught him how quickly life could change and he was determined to not let anymore moments slip away. Never again.

Of course it was hard to behave himself, especially when Rhonann murmured her quiet confession. His bi-colored gaze glimmered with amusement, "I'm sorry...I just need to take a moment to make certain I'm not hallucinating." He joked lightly before popping a piece of fruit into his mouth, "Maybe I should get a written statement so that it sticks to history that Rhonann actually enjoys my company." He quipped to the ceiling playfully, "Or I could announce it now..." His gaze shot towards the window before he quickly glanced back at Rhonann with a smile, "Though I would probably get shot for that one."

His gaze dropped back to the fruit thoughtfully before he finally took a breath and looked back up towards Rhonann, "In all seriousness though I want you to know that you are the only one." Kian's cheeks almost threatened to flush as he looked calmly towards his companion, "The only one I ever plan on treating like that, Rho." Perhaps he had moments of flirting in the past, but from now on he believed he would dedicate himself to the earthling before him. They had been through so much together and built so much trust that he could actually spend the whole night sleeping next to her side. Never before had he spent a full night by another person like he had last night. It was definitely new but not unwanted.

The bashful side glance swiftly turned into the more common death glare, swallowing the fruit quickly to give a growl. "Try it, I dare you," she growled, glancing at the open window. Gods, to think he would actually be so boastful about what she'd just said! ..Not that she usually cared about what others thought of her, but it was the principle of the thing! He would either get a bolt or be quickly joining the crowd outside!

Then Kian did get serious again, and she felt her face grow hot right with his words. Why did he get to look so calm and collected saying something like that?! She wanted to give a snarky reply, but instead.."Yeah, well, you, too," she mumbled back, shoving another piece of fruit into her mouth. She could not imagine opening herself up to anyone else. There never had been before, and, gods willing, there never would be again anyone like Kian was to her.

Still, she had to be careful. She still had business to finish. Despite how wonderful the moment was, that thought danced around the back of her mind. She was free to go back to her original task before the war had interrupted things, and she knew how Kian felt about her determination for vengeance. If he was still willing to help-

Later. She could think about that later. Kian was right about one thing. They needed to give themselves time to enjoy the other side of the bridge they had just crossed. "Ye're a cocky little brat, ya know?" she grumped with a small smile.

Ah, there was the glare. The corner's of Kian's mouth curved upwards in amusement at the reaction to his teasing. Some things never change. Maybe he was a bit of a masochist but he did love how feisty Rhonann was. She was different from all the softer women who had tried throwing themselves at Kian in the past. It was nice to have a companion who was able to hold her own ground and fight back. Preferably against any enemies and not me though. This was someone strong who he could make a family with....the thought actually almost brought a flush to his cheeks before he actually found himself turning his gaze away for a moment. Thankfully he tried to make it look like he was really contemplating yelling out that window before he studied Rhonann again.

"I really should have gotten this in writing." He finally managed, an attempt to recover from his own strange thoughts, "Me a cocky little brat?" He repeated with a slight gasp before smirking, "Of course I am~ And since I am such a little brat I'm going to be a bit demanding." The hybrid shifted so that he could move closer to Rhonann, "There's a bathhouse next to us and I hear that it's really nice. We could maybe spend some time together here and then relax there?" Relax or whatever they ended up doing. Kian's bi-colored gaze was playful as he moved forward to wrap an arm around Rhonann, "We won one battle and now we've finally reached a compromise for the other battle that's been raging for years. An important victory in my opinion~" He quipped lightly before daring to kiss her cheek.

If she thought he was a cocky little brat then he definitely was okay with that. He had nearly lost her and now that he had the chance to do so Kian was definitely going to make her feel cherished. Even if she shoots me or tries to shove me away. He would show her how stubborn and clingy he could be as well. Kian would make certain that this would be a time that neither of them would ever forget. A chance to finally express themselves and act like a couple even if only for a day.

Well, at least he admitted his guilt! "Ye've always been demandin', too," she snorted, trying to cover the flutter in her chest as he scooted closer. Her mind went right to where Kian had probably expected it to at the mention of spending more time together before the bath, making her whole body heat up. How was she supposed to handle all of these new feelings?!

It really had been a battle. She couldn't help meeting that gaze and feeling a tiny bit of guilt. She had fought tooth and nail to keep herself from exposing her heart to commitment. They both had, frankly. Each little brick removed from those walls had created the path they were now walking on together. What could have been if they had allowed themselves the space the be together a little bit sooner?

Rolling her eyes, Rho finally smiled and slipped around to straddle over Kian's lap, her arms going around his shoulders again. "Brat," she mused again before reaching to catch his lips with her own. Just one day at a time. That was all. One day at a time.
