When her brother checked on her she was still sitting on the block of wood and thinking. Thea had stopped her obsessive inspection of the gauntlets but was busy thinking. "I guess that's true." Too much shiny could be bad if someone wanted to be sneaky. Nothing worse than being found before you wanted to be. She would know. Losing several times at hide and seek sucked.
"What about making it all dull in color? You know.. not so shiny?" Maybe that would appeal to someone. Her little shoulders came up then went back down as she looked up at Dovian. Seeing him back at work got her curious and she set the unfinished gauntlets down so that she could get up and get closer.

Not so shiny? Dovian furrowed his brow a bit as he brought the hammer down again. Tang. The metal jumped slightly to the side and he had to adjust his hold. "You mean matte?" His green eyes moved toward his sister again, this time noticing that she was up and about again. He sighed and shook his head as his arm moved again to strike the heated glob.
"Thea, I'm going to send you home if you touch anything." A threat he would be hard pressed to follow up on. Dovian usually gave in to what his siblings wanted and they knew it.

"I'm not touching!" She insisted. Thea gave her brother her best smile again, hands behind her back. "I'm looking."
She still couldn't see anything more than a glowy thing of metal that looked nothing like anything she knew. It had no real shape to it. Tilting her head she attempted to see it from a different angle thinking that might give her a hint as to what it was her brother was making. "So.. what is it anyways?" Her head moved to the other side to give her a different perspective. "Looks like a deformed cannon ball."

Dovian gave a sarcastic look to Thea. He knew better than to trust that cute smile of hers. "It's gonna be a dagger when I'm done." Of course it was still a long ways away from that. "It would be easier to work if I didn't have to worry about a certain someone." As he spoke his strikes slowed but kept the same strength.
After fixing a stare at Theanduri he narrowed his eyes. "Go back over there and sit down or go play outside." Dovian motioned with his head then went back to work. His goal was to hopefully have the basic shape done before dark so that he could pick back up in the morning. It was harder to keep the forge going at night. The metal lost it's heat that much faster then because of the temperature difference in the air.

So that was what he was making. Thea stared at it a bit longer. "I don't see it."
Lifting her eyes up to look at her big brother she scrunched up her nose. Being told to get out of the way again made her whine before she turned away and walked back over to the block of wood. "Alright fine. But I'm really bored. Can't you hurry up?" Jobs were boring. It made her wonder if her father's job was just as boring as this one was. Plopping back down she put her elbows on her knees and her chin in her hands. "I wouldn't want to do this all day." At least she'd ruled out being a blacksmith as her calling.
