Liath nodded, it would make sense he didn't get caught often except by his mother or sister. Liath could relate to that, he had a deep resentment for his mother and sisters he tried his best to avoid them. Again Liath nodded in agreement, if they had stayed it would be only a matter of time before they looked for who started the commotion.
Liath thought a minute on how to respond. "I like to watch. Life is full of so many questions don't you think? like what if you hadn't thrown the rock? What if the man had been able to sell his birds? But I had to know what if you did. Who am I to stop someone from doing what they want. I just like to watch. Everyone is so different, but also the same." He probably sounded like he was a rambler. It was hard to describe. Liath didn't go out of his way often to affect the outcome of situations. Today he did and what if he hadn't? He had a whole set of questions. "If I hadn't come along would you have done the same thing? Would you have thrown the rock, or would you have waited?"

As the boy rambled on Ujiri arched a brow at him. It seemed like the shifter had a bunch of 'what if?' questions. None of which had ever really crossed his own mind. So he thought for a second. If the boy hadn't tempted him to throw the rock, if he hadn't wanted to know what would happen, would Ujiri have thrown the rock?
It took him about a minute before he shook his head. "No, honestly I'd have just waited. Watched. When the caravan would have started moving again the birds would have been jostled and they would have opened the door on their own anyways. Likely would have taken them longer to realize the birds were free." Seeing as the caravan would have been on the move their attention would have been forward and the commotion could have been mistaken for the city itself.

Liath considered what he had said for a minute. It would seem that Liath had cause more chaos with his presence. " I wonder if it would have been worse if the birds had gotten loose while they were moving. Not that is matters because that is not what happened." He stood for a second awkwardly. "So now what? What is next in your day? Do you go home now and pretend nothing happened?"
He shifted his weight back and forth on his heels kind of rocking, he had felt he had observed this one enough, he got the gist of who they were why they did what they did. He wasn't sure if he should continue following this boy or if he had learned all that he would about this one was there more to him?

"I guess that depends on how observant they are." It was possible the birds could have gotten away without anyone the wiser. They'd never know, however.
When asked what was next for him he rocked back on his heels, bounced a few times, then came back to being flat footed. Ujiri grinned and motioned toward the city with his thumb. "Now, I go find something to eat. I have a feeling I'm gonna miss dinner. There is bound to be something entertaining in town today." And who was he to pass up some good sport?
His eyes gave the shifter boy a once over, noting how small he was, then crossed his arms over his chest again. "When's the last time you ate anything?" Did the boy eat much? Or was he just naturally small? He couldn't understand the sentiment since everyone in his family was either chubby or packed on muscle like you wouldn't believe. One mother liked food and the other was a stickler for working out at unnatural hours in the morning.

Liath's naturally thin frame did admittedly make him look very frail. Though he was always so busy training that he would often miss dinner, and then train all night and sleep through breakfast. "uh.." His immediate reaction was to leave, he had never been a friendly boy, he prefered to be secluded. Why then had he approached this boy at all? "I had food uh... earlier" almost as if on cue his stomach let out a loud churn as if it were groaning at the thought of him passing on food. "Okay yeah, I could definitely go for some food."
Plus the way he thought about it town would have more people to observe. So even if he ended up leaving this one's company being in town was preferable anyway. Walking back with the other boy he suddenly realized. "I never asked your name." He said it more as a fact than a question but the question was implied, right?

He was going to leave it at that but then the shifter boy's stomach spoke up for him. Ujiri blinked once, then twice, then laughed. "Yeah, food is always good." He had a chubby Alk mother so he understood the benefits of good food.
Reaching up he touched one antennae gently, then eventually toyed with his dreads. "Huh, guess not. You were a little busy getting me to throw a rock." Not that he was complaining. It had gotten the desired result anyways. "Ujiri. What's yours? 'Cuz I doubt you're gonna want me to call you 'Tiny.'" And he would. With nothing else to call the boy he'd easily give him a nickname.
Motioning for the boy to follow with the same hand that had been in his dreads he started toward another road that would lead into town.

Liath nodded "Under normal circumstances I wouldn't care what your name was. But i suppose i should know it if were to spend anymore time together. My name is Liath, you can call me whatever you want it won't effect my ability to hear you. He continued walking back toward the main part of town.
"So uh. What are you? Obviously some sort of mix of races." He motioned his hand toward the antenna. Liath being from Neued has some experience with the different races be it limited.

The hybrid boy glanced back at Liath, again with the one brow going upward. So the byo didn't really care to know the names of the people he met or observed. It was weird but Ujiri was used to weird. His family was considered weird by most.
When it was asked what he was he started to laugh. "Whoa, Liath, you can't just go asking people what they are!" A lie, sorta. Ujiri certainly would go about doing the same thing if he didn't know what they were. After catching his breath from laughing, and using one hand to wipe away the tears that had started due to it, he turned his head to look at the shifter again. "I'm what you call a hybrid. Alkidike and Leaf. Pretty neat, ain't I?" He boasted.

Liath wasn't sure what was so funy about his questions, as he was genuinely curious. As they got closer to town Liath shrugged. "if i have a question about somebody and i want to know it ill ask them. If they get offended about it then that's their problem. " He paused for a second thinking if the way to word it, "I heard Alkidike are all female, and don't have... reproductive organs " he whispered the words knowing how scandalous it sounded. "So does that mean you came from a tree? it was his first time meeting such a hybrid and his invasive personality was only roaring up the more time he spent around Ujiri.

Asking questions was harmless enough and so far Ujiri wasn't offended by any of them. So he shrugged and continued to walk with the boy. When he spoke about his knowledge of the Alkidike it made the hybrid boy stare at him a bit surprised. What were the earthlings being taught? Granted he had a better understanding than most since it was part of his family.
The way Liath whispered the bit about reproductive organs made Ujiri laugh again. Coming out today had definitely been a good idea! "Oh wow. Well.. yeah. My mother doesn't have.. reproductive organs. My twin and I came from a bloom. Not the same one mind you. They aren't THAT big." He understood that twin earthlings were born at the same time and shared the same space inside their mother's wombs. He couldn't imagine sharing the small space with Ika. "But it wasn't just any tree. It was Aisha. She's our mother tree, she's special."

Liath was pleased to find that what head over heard was a fact. He pulled out his journal and thumbed trough it until he got to the page about Alkidikes. He put a check mark next to one if the statements. "So your mother IS a tree. How weird to come out of flowers. We all came from my mom. Weird you kinda have three parents and one is a tree." For now those were all the questions he could think of. "We must be getting close to town."

Three parents. Yeah, he supposed he did have. It wasn't something he really thought about but it was a fact. Still, he lifted his shoulders again in a shrug. "Its a fact of life and I'm used to it. It's not so weird for me."
When Laith mentioned getting close he looked forward and sure enough, the other road was right in front of them. "Yep. Right here. This road will take us in. It'll be a little bit farther from the market area but that's alright." Ujiri was in no hurry since he had the rest of the day. Though he did make a point of looking at Liath's stomach. "Think you can hold out for another couple minutes? I don't want your stomach to screech at people as we pass by." He was jesting with the boy. He actually found some amusement in the loud sounds Liath's stomach made, if only because it was in stark disagreement with what he'd said.

Liaths eyes went wide he hadn't thought of that, everyone else had their own stories and his story was probably weird to them. Still, Liath only had one parent really so for Ujiri to have three, he really wanted to know what that was like, even having two would be different.
Liath was also not in any rush to get to the town though it would give him something new to look at. There was always a hustle and bustle in town. So much to watch. He looked up at Ujiri, "I'm fine, i normally go way longer than this when I'm training so this is nothing." He shrugged though his stomach let out a little sound that Liath narrowed his eyes at.

"Training huh?" That was something he was familiar with.
The sound of Liath's stomach brought about another smile from the hybrid boy and he turned his head to look down at it. A skeptical look was given to the shifter in response. "Sounds like you shouldn't neglect it. Might be why you're so small." He brought one hand up to tap at his bare chest twice. "I eat regularly. Mother insists."
He led the way through the town, easily avoiding the bodies of those out shopping like he'd done it a million times before. The looks he got, while not a lot, were ignored for the most part. "So what you training for?"

Liath nodded, listening to the comment about mother insisting he eat. "mine too, or she would of I was home. But I can't stand her so im not" he shrugged casually as they entered town.
As he had expected town was busy, people hurried past them. Some gave the strange pair side looks. Liath took mental notice of that. "For war." He said the words very nonchalant. Surely the other knew of the war that tore Neued apart so many years ago. "We have to be ready, we weren't ready last time." He shook his head sadly.
