Tinaksite was frowning now and her arms were crossed over her chest as she tried to figure out something to say in response to his words.
She followed and finally just shrugged. “Not…heartbroken. Maybe only a little. I am trying to not be. You…and her…you…” Tina closed her eyes for a moment, searching for the right words. “…You are special. I am…ordinary. I understand why she prefers you. You are Wolf. You two are bonded…”
Keeping her eyes on the water, the Captain shook her head. “…I am sorry for making you feel unwanted. I did not mean to show it so much. I did not want…her to know I was jealous…but…back at the beginning…I would have been very thankful if you were to have disappeared…but now…I…” She gave a heavy sigh that felt as though it came from the very bottom of her soul.
…The bottom of her starseed? Now, that was a strange thought.
“…I care for you too. But I care for her much more. I am still jealous. Though…no longer heartbroken…just…jealous. I want her eyes looking at me like they look at you.”

He looked over the edge of the drop and with a grunt, heaved the body out into the pitch dark waters with a loud splash and then a gurgle as the air in the body bubbled out to the surface. That was the end of them, nameless and gone forever and always.
Someday that will be you.
"We're not special. We might look unique but we were both and still think somewhat like humans. Laven far more than me. She still has memories and remembers her hopes from before. She needs people like you, Tina. To bring back that humanity she loves so dearly. So in a way, you are special. You are someone who can look at Laven like you do as a human and not be turned away or repulsed. To still think she is something special." He said with a smile, stepping off the ledge and moving towards her.
Watching her a moment, eyes illuminated from distant streetlights and catching in the large orbs of his youma replacements, he watched her. Was she a treat to him to so openly admit she wanted Laven to look at her with something more than just friendship? The fact she was telling him this felt more like she was trusting to be open with him about her feelings than her feeling he wasn't a obstacle to her desires. It was honesty in front of what might be considered to some as opposition.
But they weren't enemies, right?
"If you want her to look at you that way, then spend more time with her and maybe present that idea to her. You're a open, honest person. Laven and I are both dense. So we might not always get subtle things. Just as a bit of advice." He said and patted her on the shoulder as he walked past her and moved to jump up to a roof.

Watching as the body fell and disappeared into the darkness, Tinaksite sighed again. “…You are special. You are both my friends. I want you to like me too. I do not want to be forgotten…”
She did not want to fade away. Even if he said that she was needed…she didn’t feel like it.
Tinaksite paused and frowned slightly as he gave his advice and tilting her head, she jumped up to follow him. “…What…where…are we going now, Wolf? What is the plan?” He couldn’t be leaving…that…wasn’t a good note to leave on…and she had no idea how to process it.
“…Present what idea to her? I do not understand.”

He looked over at her. "I want a burger." He'd just hauled a body across town. He was hungry now. Getting some fast food sounded great and he could bring Laven some too.
"I already like you, Tina. Did you want me to make eyes at you like I do Laven too?" He said with a playful chuckle, not really sure what she was even wanting out of him at this point.
Jumping to the next roof and the next, he headed their way towards the more populated areas of the city, looking around for some fastfood neon sign they could head to and keeping his eyes and nose open.
"Well, figure out what you want from her and talk to her about it. Or work your way to that. Laven looks at me as a friend she can trust - well....kinda. She still sees me as her boyfriend. You gotta build up to that kind of relationship. Friendship and what we have now isn't that far apart. I like Laven like we do now because we were close friends. It's why I feel so open with her. Like I can say something that could hurt me and know she isn't going to go out of her way to stab me in the back. Its looking at someone and knowing you can share the world with them and that you want to do that. And you know they feel that way too. - Ah - there we go." He pointed to the neon sign further off to their left.
"Burgers." He jumped down to the alleyway below and, sensing no one around, glamored up to Winter.

Did she want him to make eyes at her like he did to Laven? The question made Tinaksite fall quiet, mulling it over and feeling utterly confused by it. Why would he ask…that was a strange question. But.
“I like burgers.” She said automatically, following him and powering down into plain old, ordinary Kat, though she still wore an expression that looked more than confused.
“…I would never stab you in the back. You do not do that to a friend. You have taught me so much. You have helped me become stronger. Confident…I would never stab you. Why…did you ask? Do you wish to make eyes at me? Would that not be terribly greedy? Wanting you both to make eyes at me?” Greedy or not…it sounded…so nice to have two people that would never leave her. Who thought she was important.
“…We will bring burgers to Laven, yes? We will pick something up for her? I need to think about this. I do not know what to think.”

"I've been very greedy in my life. I still am. I just try not to be as best I can - most of the time. I can't actually tell someone else not to be selfish and greedy when I do it all the time." He admitted, a set of flaws he already told Laven about but shared with the other half-youma.
"You - don't seem to have had a lot of friends before, have you?" If she thought having more than one friend around was greedy, and didn't want to be left alone, maybe she just never had the opportunity to have people close to her. Maybe this really was just jealousy and a desire to have a close circle of friends and nothing more. He wasn't exactly sure what to make of Tina and her feelings towards Laven, but he wanted to be there for her to be happy too.
"I wouldn't make eyes at anyone else Laven would rip them out for me. I was already blind once. I don't need a chaotic she-dragon gouging them out." He said with a loud laugh as he put his hands in his hoodie pockets and headed out into the bright city streetlights where a few people walked down the sidewalk.
"Of course we're going to bring Laven back food. She's been working hard on her own work and projects. It wouldn't be fair to her for us to both go out eating and leaving her to just cafeteria food. We'll even get her fries and a shake." He said, mainly because he was going to order that too. It was nice to splurge on nice garbage food once in a while.
"Have you and Laven gone out together to just hang out for a while? You two should do that."

Finally, Kat smiled and nodded. “I…if you are greedy, I suppose I can be greedy too. I will be greedy. And…friends, I do not have many here. The one I did have…She has not…we have not spoken in a long time. She stood me up. We were going to do lunch and she did not come. She did not want me as a friend any longer…”
The smile had faded and she looked utterly distraught for a moment. “I had another friend. He and I have not spoken for a long while. He knew how I felt about my other friend. She too gave me indigestion…I…liked her. I wanted to be more than friends. But. I never got to say it. You…think I should tell Laven? You…think I should tell her that she gives me indigestion? Do you want to give me indigestion?”
How could that even work? Was that something that would be possible?
“…I do not want you to be blind…maybe I should just say nothing. I do not want to make you hurt. I do not want to lose either of you just because I…feel too much.”

"I'm not in any position to give anyone indigestion right now. I made a promise to Laven. She isn't one for sharing either, and I want to respect that in order to keep her with me. I don't want to loose her as much as she doesn't want to loose me. I think you need to talk about it at some point, but you don't need to rush or push yourself either. I think for now, if you want the advice, you two should spend a day together. See how it goes. Maybe it will give you a clearer picture of what you want. Then you can see how you want to go about telling her if you want to do that. I don't think your feelings would made Laven think any less of you, but I also don't think you should keep things to yourself out of fear. It can eat you up inside." He said, moving up to the restaurant and opening the door for her before following behind.
"I used to have a friend before I met Laven. He was everything to me, and he made me feel special. But he also didn't like what I was or how I saw the world. He wanted me to change my love for the organization and our leader. He wanted to be everything. I couldn't give him what he wanted, and the moment he knew I wouldn't change everything for him, he left me. We haven't spoken since. It still hurts me to this day. I can't imagine the sense of loss you felt with the two people you knew. It's a terrible feeling."
"Laven won't hurt me for no reason. I'm not hitting on you after all. And you already told me how you feel. You're being honest and genuine. I don't sense you have any ill will against either of us, and you have always put Laven at the first of your thoughts. That means a lot."
"But you also need to think of what you want and need too. You shouldn't compromise your own feelings either. Alright?" He said, moving up to the counter and looking at the menu before putting in a order for him and Laven before looking at Tina. "Go ahead and order too. You helped me today. My treat."

Kat was quiet, feeling her spirits sink just a little bit. She wasn’t sure what she had been anticipating, but after a moment she was quite sure that she wished she could have simply kept her mouth shut.
His words fell on nearly deaf ears, but she nodded anyway, hoping that he would become more focused on the food choices. She was staring at the menu intensely, and simply continued to nod, listening to him order for himself and for Laven, and after a moment she smiled. “I’m…actually not hungry. I do not know if it is just…the after…after the fight. I am very tired…I think I will sleep, if you do not mind. Thank you for a good night of training.”
Flashing a smile, Kat gave a little motion that was almost a bow, but not quite, and then just waved before hurrying out of the restaurant, powering up when she got into shadow and teleporting off into the night, not wanting to be found right away.
She couldn’t figure out her thoughts right now, and wasn’t sure the best way to find them all.
…Maybe another hunt would help. Another starseed to clear her mind. Regardless of what she did…she wanted to be alone.
