Raken nodded with a smile. Nothing would make him happier than to ground that boy.
He asked the question almost lightly, though he knew its seriousness. He was not expecting however, there to be exactly no hesitation, and for a yell so loud he jerked slightly in spite of himself in surprise. Fork lifted halfway to his mouth, his eyebrows raised as he looked at the quickly reddening angel. That had been quite enthusiastic. "I see." Raken breathed, continuing to take his bite. He needed the time as his mind began to race. She still wanted children. Since she was with him, that would presume she wanted his children. What did he think about that?
Slowly, he set the dish down on the table and reached behind him to the pillow that was stuffed between his back and the chair. Years ago he made a promise to himself to never fall in love.
He broke that promise. Then Fre broke his heart.
He picked himself up and vowed never again. It was a waste of time and would only lead to pain. So he locked those tattered pieces away. For a decade. "You've out done me this anniversary." He rose to his feet to take the few steps that separated them. "You surpass me in ways I don't expect. You fascinate me that way." Slowly, he reached out his hand and uncurled his fingers. The necklace tumbled out, the leather strap catching on his fingers to dangle. In a way, he was like that piece of jewelry. Simple, sturdy, and his heart on a string.
"I...love you." And maybe, just maybe...a kid wouldn't be so bad.

Her heart raced in her chest, the pounding felt like it would break through her ribs. She said that too loud, too quickly without asking how he felt. His jerk back sent a cold chill down her spine as the fear crept up. Did he not want children? Had what she said, and how she said it, upset him?
Her mind raced for a better apology. That had been wholly uncharitable of her. What words could she use to reassure him that it was okay if he didn't want them? She was fine just the two of them, never would she resent or be unhappy just because they didn't have children.
There were a thousand things she could say, to explain how she felt and hear out how he felt. It just seemed like catching those words into a coherent sentence was too big of a challenge.
At first the silence was because couldn't get those words together. Then, it was because he pulled her breath away. All at once, she was really seeing him. His every move no longer colored by her wild thoughts.
With each word, so full of tender emotion that she could scarcely dare to breathe. There was so much more in this moment, that truth she felt to the core of her soul. Slowly, she reached out her hand to tenderly cradle the heart shaped pendant.
The necklace was beautiful but before she could compliment him on the choice, once again he surprised her into silence. Now her eyes started to shine with tears not yet released.
Moving her hand up enough to lace her fingers with his, the heart cradled safely between their hands. "Oh Raken.." Pushing herself out of her chair, the angle embraced her demon. Holding on tightly, she could feel their hearts beating. It was all she could do to contain herself.
Pulling back just enough so she could look him right in the eyes, Menolly told him how she felt, emotion threatening to make her words illegible. "I love you, Raken. I love you so much. I could tell you that every day and it wouldn't be enough but I will anyway." To hear him so clearly express himself found her lacking of the ability to do the same.
"With you as their father, and the Guardians blessing, there is no doubt!" Had children before, at least one of them would know what they were doing!
Starting to try cry, Menolly was just able to tell him, "I am so happy, I can't seem to find any other words beside, I love you so much." Hopefully that would be alright, for right now.Mist_of_the_Ages" Menolly.exe has crashed please reboot

This was not an impulsive decision. Raken had been down this road before, so he had known for a while now what his feelings were. Had thought about it one calm morning before she woke to when to say it. He wasn't a romantic pae by any stretch, but it seemed a fitting time.
He wasn't nervous at the confession. Menolly, unlike himself, wore her heart on her sleeve. She had loved him for longer. When she stood up, he immediately opened his arms for her to crash into. "I know. Thank you for waiting for me." His arms tightened around her, holding the angel close as her tears slipped from her face and onto his shoulder.
Her big beautiful eyes were shining with tears. Not talking was something he was just fine with. He smiled warmly, and lowered his head to softly kiss her. Maybe she could feel just how happy he was too.Evilsilverdragon Is dis the restart button? *push 'kiss'*

Waiting. Without knowing it, Menolly had waited her whole life for him. "Worth every second." Raken didn't give his affection freely, at least not to just anyone. To be here in this moment is the rarest of blessings.
Not for one moment did she take for granted how lucky she was. From the moment he welcomed her into his home and life, waiting was the last thought in her mind. From moment one this was home.
A magnetic item would take longer to respond then she did the moment he went for a kiss. Pushing up on the balls of her feet, Menolly connected into the kiss just melting against him.
Their meal was long forgotten. What wasn't forgotten was the heart in their hands and the one pounding against her own. It was probably a good thing she was holding it, now that they had discussed children everything else was secondary.
He seemed to be of the same mind without needing to say a word.
With great difficulty, Menolly pulled back and allowed only enough distance to secure the necklace around her neck. She tied it up closer and less give. Too much length in the leather would risk it geting caught or coming off. "I wouldn't want to risk losing it." If she had to take it off for some reason, it wouldn't be too bad.
Putting her hand on that heart, she shifted it to settle over his own before she leaned up to kiss him again. Going for the kill with a deep kiss immediately.Mist_of_the_Ages Might need a few tries to restart.

Menolly was so warm. Her heart was beating so hard he could feel it pressed against him. And as she kissed him, he felt his own speed up.
It felt so cold when she pulled back. "I was concerned you wouldn't like it." He breathed just before she pressed against him once more. The demon eagerly returned the passion, a hand slipping from around her to slip around her shoulders.
A deep sigh he broke their lips, but only for a moment so he could swoop with his other arm behind her legs. In one motion he picked her light frame up in a princess carry, quickly kissing her again.
Dinner would have to be forgotten, because it was in the living room. And he was going for the bedroom.Evilsilverdragon Just call Raken Tech support, he'll get her cpu back up and running xd

Menolly responded in a breathy whisper, "I love it." The item itself would have been treasured from anyone. What it represented and the conversation around it made it the most precious gift in the world.
He lifted her so effortlessly, though she did what she could to help. They were long past the instinct to bring her wings out. Rather, she roped her arms around his shoulders and curled her legs once he had her up.
Accidentally bumping into the wall had a way of damping a day.
Her eyes stayed glued on him, not a thought to the table and food left behind. Putting her hand on his cheek when he kissed her again, she sighed into and returned the affection.Mist_of_the_Ages *closes the curtain" Nothing to see here folks
