As stuff was brought outside, Chip busied himself with fiddling with it. He popped a little knife out of the air, not wanting to stick his own claws into the sticks. He conducted a few slash-n-pour tests before concluding the best way to do it, and effectively making several "gunpowder brushes" out of some of the sticks. When Dory turned up with the second load, he said with a giggle, "This is gonna make such a mess!" He nosed a cut stick. "Here, draw with these! I hope you're ready for kabooms!"

"Isn't that the point?" Adorea raised a brow as she took one of the 'brushes' and began to scribble the start of a name before promptly scribbling it out and redoing the 'correct' name i.e. not her actual name. That was all she needed to do, blow her cover and end up with far more trouble on her plate than she needed!
"I mean at the very least, the explosion might actually remind someone that this place exists," she added, a long sweeping smiley face appearing beneath her brush-tip. A few squiggles more, a palm tree here and there, and she seemed to have designed a rather tropical signature beneath her feet.
"If you think about it we're doing a public service," she pointed out and motioned to the dynamite sticks. "How else are they going to know they left all these explosives just lying out here where innocent folks like you and I could find them, eh?" she added with a smirk. The rebel in her was showing, but she did have a reasonable point, this was a hazard to the public if someone less considerate than them found it... They could use it for much more nefarious means than writing their names and blowing a small hole in the ground.
...It didn't quite cross her mind that the White Moon were considered terrorists here and this might not necessarily help her cause mind you, but at least it would work out for the greater good, right?

“That’s true~” Chip replied with a giggle, as he began very carefully making marks on the ground with a cut up stick. “Maybe it’ll become a kaboomy party spot! Wouldn’t that be fun?” Even Chip knew that was probably a bad idea, but it was still fun to suggest. “But even if nobody notices, it’ll be worth it!” After a bit, he concluded his work, and scampered back to admire the handiwork. “Ready to see some fire, Dory~?”

"Almooooost."
The reply that came was muffled as she shuffled forward carefully to set piles of the dynamite in various points around their signatures. Rather than light things off twice it just made more sense to make the biggest 'boom' possible, provided that all this stuff was dry enough to work of course.
Point after point was set up and then eventually she skipped back towards him and came to a halt, admiring his handiwork and then glancing briefly towards his paws. Suffice to say that if this was what he could do with his paws then she had to wonder what he'd achieve with hands.
Could he even do the same thing Arthur could?
"Ok," she breathed and readied herself, raising a hand to push her visor down again. Admittedly she had no idea if it would block out any bright light from the blast but at the very least it would protect her eyes from the dust... or at least that was her theory.
"Now I'm ready."

Chip backed up and watched her work for a bit, tail swishing idly. She wasn't bad at shuffling stuff around, he decided. That his ability to draw in the dirt might be rather impressive given his lack of hands did not even cross his mind. "Okay, so now we take this wire here," he pawed a spool that he had put in his space pocket and brought out while she was lugging explosives around. He even hooked it into the right stuff while she was at it. "And bump it waaay over there!" he pointed his nose, and bumped the spool with a paw...then just hopped on top of it and started walking on it to roll it. "Movies told me cool people don't look at explosions...but I think those cool people's pants are on fire, cuz they're so close." He may have had no fear, but Chip at least knew how to not blow all his fur off. After a bit, he arrived at a spot he was pretty sure was good enough. "Okay, now I'll just..." A little box with a button popped into the air, and he pawed the wires into it. "On three, push the button!" he declared. "One!" "Two..." ...THREE!"

"I mean, we could let it explode and walk away in slow motion," Adorea replied with a wry smile. She was sure she and Chip could look equally 'cool' as they strutted away from the blast, but then how would they be able to tell if the signatures had worked as planned?
Taking the button into her hand she settled herself beside him at an ample distance, relying on Chip's estimations to keep herself safe on this occasion, and on cue, she pressed the button.
What followed started off quite slowly, a fizzing as the fire trailed along the un-spooled line before it finally caught a taste of Chip's signature. That fizz soon became a 'spit' as the gunpowder flared to light and swept through his signature with considerable flourish before the sparks leapt across to Adorea's and in much the same fashion, finished with another little set of sparks.
...Ah, but maybe she had put the other dynamite a little too far away?
"Nothing is -"
She never got the words out, the sparks from both names had in fact reached the piles and it had simply taken them a small amount of time to ignite. No soon had she began to open her mouth than the loud boom erupted from each pile, several small craters forming while more than a fair few of the surviving windows began to shatter around them. Unsurprisingly Adorea was left with ringing ears and a stunned expression, not that she hadn't expected it to be loud, but ow.

Atop chip's hat was a pair of goggles. How he was able to pop them off his hat and onto his face would truly be a mystery for the ages, but he did it as the fizzing began. He also at the last second remembered ear plugs were a good idea, so a pair of kitty earmuffs popped into existence near him, and those found their way onto his head too. His grin got bigger, and bigger, and as Dory said "Nothing," it grew even larger. Boom. Truthfully, fire and explosions weren't really his thing, but now and then? Magnificent. This was possibly the least safe thing he'd ever done. And it was glorious. It also caused him to skid back a bit. "Well," he said after a moment, followed by a random chunk of something landing nearby with a loud klang, "That was better than I'd hoped!" He giggled gleefully, and looked up at Dory.

Dory cast a look towards him out of the corner of his eye, one that seemed to imply several different emotions all at once. Admittedly none of them were negative emotions, but one of them was certainly confusion.
"What were you hoping for?" she asked curiously, quickly looking round at the sound of the klang just to confirm it hadn't hit anything important. Additionally, a cursory look above them was warranted to ensure that neither of them was going to be unexpectedly impaled either. Fortunately it didn't seem like either of them had positioned anything in a way that would cause an extreme shower of raining shrapnel but it was better to be safe than sorry on that one.
She squinted.
"Hold up, were you expecting it to fizzle too?" she sounded accusatory, but the glint in her eye seemed to imply she was teasing.
Quite frankly she was delighted, they had made one of these biggest booms she'd ever heard, no one had gotten hurt and no one seemed to have noticed for now. That being said it was loud enough that they probably should consider getting out of the immediate vicinity just in case...

"Well, not fizzle," he replied earnestly, "Just, uh.... wetter. Ya know, some of it might've gotten all gooped up, and not go boom properly." He thought about it a moment and said, "Actually, I think maybe it is like that, and I just wasn't thinking big enough." Chip giggled again, and rolled suddenly, laughing all the way around. "But it was great! Oh, I might have to blow something else up in the future! I'm sure everybody around heard that!" And when he said it, he realized what that meant. "Hmm...Soooo maybe time to go~"

She winced; as fun as it had been she had already come to the same conclusion that as entertaining as it had been they were bound to have attracted something. Alternatively if something wasn't heading their way right now then it certainly would be within the next while.
"Probably a good idea," she agreed, lifting a hand to rub at the back of her neck. Her expression was sheepish, but the glint in her eye made it abundantly clear she was buzzing. She felt much the same as him but in the grand scheme of things they really shouldn't let themselves get caught.
"Maybe we can find somewhere less suspicious to do that next time," she added with a small laugh. "Are there any quarries near by? Those always have explosions," she pointed out. Alas, it was perhaps food for thought at a later date.
She motioned quickly towards him and raised a brow.
"Make sure you pick up everything you wanted to keep before you leave though, if you haven't got enough space I can uh... Figure out how to store it for you," she added. "I can deliver it to you somewhere else."

"I grabbed stuff as I went," Chip replied happily. "Thanks, though~ We should do this again some time!" He giggled, then added, "Maybe blow up a building next!" At that, he started walking in the general direction of away. "Let's get going~ Unless there was something you wanted to keep?"

She was already snapping a picture of the charred remains of her own name and his on her phone. She didn't seem to care that this might be preserving evidence of vandalism, after all, who was going to manage to get hold of her senshi phone anyway? It was a keepsake and not one she would find easy to repeat, whether people approved of that was irrelevant!
"No, I think I'm good," she replied after she'd slipped her phone away again and had moved back towards him.
"Time to split," she smiled and motioned in each direction. "I'll head this way and you can head that way eh?" She paused briefly and shook her head, while the idea of blowing up a building did sound intriguing she wasn't quite sure how they'd get away with that one.
"You might need to source that building," she teased. "Not sure I can find one of those that definitely won't get us in trouble!" She pointed out, and with that, she began to jog in the direction she'd pointed. Whether or not he would manage to able to source such an elusive thing would have to remain a mystery for the time being!

"Mm, I'm sure I can find something eventually chip said with a giggle. "We'll see~" He considered following after Dory, but decided it was best to part ways. So, he said, "Until next time, Dory! This was a great idea~ but bye bye for now!" He tipped his tiny kitty tophat, and scooted off to find a nice spot to do a touch of people watching. This was bound to be a show, even if not terribly interesting, ultimately~ Epine de Rose I think we can probably wrap this one up now! biggrin Thanks for playing~
