RP Response: Willow Bark found himself a bit regretful when the she-wolf remarked that he was the first to accept her need for help - was there a reason no one was assisting her?. That twinge went away rapidly, however, when she explained she was missing her son. Having just had a litter of his own sort of recently, he could feel for the worry that this mother must be experiencing. "Of course I'll help you," Willow said, "I'll head straight into the woods - that seems like the likeliest of places he would venture off to." The mother looks painfully relieved, shoulders lowering as she sniffles. It seems your readiness to help has put her mind at ease for now! 'I can show you where he was last,' she announces, leading you to the river. Once it's within eyesight she steps back, smiling wearily. 'I'll check around the party again, maybe I just missed him....' Her voice holds doubt, but she's trying.
You head to the river where the pup had last been seen. As you approach you see the bank is undisturbed by paw prints or evidence of anyone having been there. You press forward, following the side of the river intently. For a moment it seems hopeless... until you find a small tuft of [you swear you remember this....] hair attached to a bush. Is it the puppies fur? Maybe you should press forward! The path ahead looks dangerous; moonlight doesn't stretch to these parts as the canopy of the trees block any attempt to illuminate this side of the river.
You hesitate, weighing your options. As you do so you begin to hear a faint voice upstream. Someone is calling the pups name, too! What do you do? A. Go to the voice. Having two wolves looking can't hurt! B. Continue looking around the edge of the bank. The very real fear the puppy fell in has been at the back of your mind for quite some time. Surely, if they fell, you'd find signs of a struggle at the edge. C. Return to the party and find the mother to relay information.

The mother looks painfully relieved, shoulders lowering as she sniffles. It seems your readiness to help has put her mind at ease for now! You announce your plan to talk to the party goers and her face contorts into a frown.
'Oh, but they weren't very...' She pauses, inhaling slowly. 'You're right -- maybe you'll have better luck. I'll look around, too.'
As you look around you find many wolves milling around. Unfortunately, most look irritated as you interrupt their wandering.
"Haaaa? A puppy? Who would bring a puppy to one of these? It's so late!" "Do I look like a babysitter?" "This again? I already told her I didn't see them!"
It seems fruitless and hope begins to fade. You're ready to turn back and reevaluate your plans when you feel someone tap your shoulder. You turn, bristling slightly as a large Berserker looks down on you. Fortunately, there's a soft smile on her features.
"I heard you mention a puppy? I saw one by the river... I think he wandered further up the stream? I went to find his parent but she must have run off for a second." Finally! An answer! You point the Berserker to where the mom is before wandering back to the river.

Once the mother excuses herself to begin looking around the party grounds again you turn around, heading right into the heavily forested surroundings.
Darkness surrounds you -- the moon has little chance to peek through and illuminate your path. It doesn't matter; you keep calling for the pup. Something shifts near you and you pause. Had you already found the puppy? Something has been drawn to your calling.
The bushes surrounding you shudder. You hear a low growl and your fur bristles. No, this doesn't seem right... you turn to escape and return to the party when instead something tackles you to the ground.
Your scream isn't heard.
You've been eliminated from the game! At the end there will be further information about this game and how it works in-character. Rest assured, your wolf is okay! Refrain from mentioning this game and what happened until the end, where more details will be given.
RP Response: Blueberry frowned at the tuft of hair. She really had hoped the pup would be here, but it looks like they probably went into the forest. But she had looked around pretty thoroughly here. She figured that it was best to let the mom know what was going on. She was probably very worried she obviously had asked others too look as well, that's probably what the voice she heard was.

RP Response: Lost had little hope of finding the pup to begin with, and as she followed alongside the river that hope continued to dwindle. No sight, sound, or smell of the pup caught her attention until she noted a small tuft of [you swear you remember this....] fur. The source, she could not determine, but it was all that she had to rely on. Glancing back down to the river bank, she couldn't help the grim thoughts that flowed through her mind.
If the pup had fallen into deep water, it likely was already lost. She was not interested in finding a body just yet, not if there were other avenues to explore.
Doubt continued to plague her mind until she heard a voice calling out for the pup. She could not discern who the voice belonged to, but it was not a bad idea to see who the individual was and share information between them. Normally she would have avoided all others if she could, but desperate to find the pup she would forgo good sense and take the risk. Did You Equip An Item?: n/a

RP Response: Kestrel was elated to find the tuft of fur, it was a sign! However, the options going forward didn't seem to bode so well. Looking into the gloom of the path ahead, her ears perked as she faintly heard another voice calling for him. Taking it as a sign he probably hadn't been found that way, she glanced at the river and while it was a real threat to little ones, opted to go find his mother and let her know what she'd found so far. It would give her hope, at least.

Love Heals pricked her ears when she heard someone else calling the pup's name and debated going to find them, but then bent her head to search along the bank instead. If he was found by another searcher then that was good. Though that had to be very fast since she'd been the first to offer help. Still, she continued her search by the river. RP Response: Mourning Dove had looked dismayed when she saw the tuft of fur. She took a good sniff of it, trying to memorize the scent attached, before she perked her ears, hearing the voice calling the pup's name. It wasn't the mother, but another. She hurried forward. RP Response:Gaze of Verdant Gold sniffed at the ground, looking about until he caught sight of the [you swear you remember this....] fur. Ah ha! Retrieving the tuft of fur, he focused on memorizing the scent so he could double check if that scent remained anywhere else nearby that he could track in a particular direction...
His ears pricked, turning towards the sound upstream. Was that someone else searching for the pup? Didn't sound like the mother. Hadn't she said no one else had offered to help? Was he imagining things?
"What was in those flowers I took a nap in?" he grumbled to himself, warily holding his ground. Either way, he remained concerned for the pup's wellbeing and this close to the river...

RP Response: Nodding her head vigorously, Kindle keeps in step with the mother. She felt her heart squeeze at the painfully relieved look she gave her. Being a newer mother herself, she could relate to the fear and pain of not finding your pup. "Yes, please show me! I am a scout for my pack, this is something I should be good at. And if there are any signs, I can find them there. Please don't worry. We will find your pup. [something seems wrong... you can't remember what went here!], right? Oh yes, check the party." Kindle didn't even hesitate, padding right up to the river's edge and using eyes and nose to find anything.
Determined, Kindle jogged from one location to another, always careful of her paws near the edge. Stars watch over her, she began to fear the pup had slipped in to the river... when there! A scent. Looking closely at what it was... "Hair! [something seems wrong... you can't remember what went here!]? Are you out here!" She called, blue eyes narrowing towards the darkened path.
Mind running miles a minute, Kindle debated on grabbing the mother or pushing forward... Oooooooh what was that?! Instantly alert and curious, her feet moved before the rest of her caught up. Someone was calling the pups name! Did You Equip An Item?: n/a

Scanning the area, Ashs' eyes landed on a [you swear you remember this....] tuft of hair caught in a bush. If only Ash had asked the mother was the pup looked like. Signs like these would be more helpful in the future.
Unable to determine, he was about to head back to the mother and let her know what he had found, but at the last moment, he heard a voice calling out the pups a name?
I wonder if someone else is looking, or someone else knows what's going on?
With ears perks, Ash headed in the direction of the voice. Maybe they could work together.

RP Response: Journey made her way hastily to the river after following the Berserker's hint. The tuft of few drew her attention and she almost went to explore the riverbank when the sound her a voice upriver made her ears perk. It sounded like… the pup's name? Well, the Berserker did say that she had seen the pup wander further upstream. Maybe she had told someone else and they were also looking up there?
Journey turned back towards the party. There seemed to already be someone on the case upstream, and it seemed a good idea to have the mother with her when she searched. It was a dark night, after all, and calling for a scared pup might just make it want to hide. Having the familiar voice of his mother would certainly help. She'd give the party a scan and look for the mother, now that she had more information. Did You Equip An Item?: No

Her thoughts brought her back to a time when she had strayed away from her parents. Luckily she had a brother that would get into mischief with her so at least she wasn't alone. A pang of sadness hit her to think of the poor pup out there alone. "We'll find him," she offered, condolence in her voice. "I have a good feeling." As they parted ways, she made her way to the river, keeping her eyes moving and nose sniffing, hoping to catch a scent on the breeze or see a glimmer of [you swear you remember this....] fur from the bushes. She really didn't want to let this mother down. Upon arriving at the river and seeing no signs of the pup, she pressed forward, following the bank further from the party. She caught sight of a tuft of bright [you swear you remember this....] fur. "Yes!" she thought. "Something to go on." She kept going as the path got darker and she lost sight of the sun above her. She would have to stay vigilant to not get lost herself. Her ears perked at the sound of a voice coming from further down the river. She hadn't explored all the areas he could be hiding, and wondered if he might have fallen into the water. She wanted to make sure before moving on.
