Cavansite watched him for a few moments and finally nodded, giving a small smile. “Of course you can assist me. I very much enjoy your company, and I hope that…” She shrugged. “I hope that I can inspire you to be a little more like me. Even if that sounds horribly selfish but…I have always seen the wisdom in being a General who’s there for my team, no matter what’s going on. Like…” She faltered and her eyes grew sad. “When Amesite’s brother went missing and his parents got killed…”
Cavansite swallowed hard and finally shook her head. “I wasn’t there enough. I should have been more careful but…I was so detached due to the…due…to reasons beyond my control but. I have learned from my mistakes, and I won’t let them be replayed. I am here to be my recruit’s guiding light. I will do what I can and what I must to help them, and even if they are not my recruit, if someone comes to me, you become my priority. Just like you have become, Wolframite. I count on you, and I hope that you count on me too. I want to be someone that people can rely on.”
She fell quiet for a moment and shrugged. “Of course punishments are sometimes necessary, but I think that people should be made to see how they did wrong, before just being punished for it. Fear…isn’t the best way to lead people to follow you, though it can be the easiest.”
The General looked up and finally made a face. “Wow. That…you didn’t ask for me to delve into all of that. The short answer is yes, I would love your help and I would love to help you grow again. It would be my pleasure. And I hope that when you once again become a general, you take the office that’s empty next to mine.”

"You don't need to appologize to me for being earnest and genuine in your hopes and aspirations. If anything, it is inspiring. I'll be happy to request the office next to yours." He said and smiled back.
"Then I will see you soon again to start working with you. I'm in your care now." He said and with a shirt salute, he turned and headed out for the day.

Cavansite watched him go, a thoughtful expression on her face.
Perhaps he could help her. Perhaps she really could rely on him…and he could help her get something that she had been working on for a while in motion. Though…she hoped that he would understand just what it was she was asking…and that he wouldn’t think her a traitor for it.
That was the real issue now. How to do what she needed without getting that taint of treason following her once again. Though…she supposed if she had Axinite’s support on the plan…it wouldn’t be so bad. He couldn’t fault her for something she was getting permission to do.
But…she had to work up the courage to ask Wolframite first.
