He smiled back, trying not to take offense. Weird was how most people considered a relationship with a Mauvian. They didn't want to think if something that appeared as an animal most times to be their partner and sexually attracted to in some way. As much as Mauvians were not animals, bestiality was a human taboo and one Mauvians trying to have a cross species (Mauvian with human) had to deal with.
It's why it was easier just to find someone who didn't know he looked like a cat most days.
Still, the blush on Nix's face was very cute.
"Any reason why? You're friendly, kind, and good looking. You could find someone." He then leaned In a bit. "Or if you want some fun, I don't mind offering."

"Not really, no," Nix replied, shaking his head. "I just..." then he sputtered to a stop at the suggestion, his face turning red again before he shook his head quickly. "I-I don't think I'm ready for something like that yet. I mean, uh." He paused a moment. "It's nothing against you, I think you're, uh, a good looking guy, and, uh..." He suddenly had a deep need to have more of his drink, and focused on that. As much of a social butterfly as he was, this sort of interaction he was completely out of his depth in.

He watched him as he turned tomato bright under the dim light of the cafe and smiled. "You sound like a romantic. You know, you risk your life every day. You should know that life is short and fleeting. You should consider looking at some people that way. I hear it's lovely. It's why I'm pursing it myself. I've been making a effort to look more appealing to humans like you lately." He said as he leaned back a d went back to his coffee..
"And my offer still stands if you should change your mind. I only ever got the change to kiss a human and touch them under their shirt. I regret not having the chance to do more." He took a sip of his coffee as he looked out.
Nix looked like he needed a change of subject.
"Halloween is coming up soon. Maybe I'll look like this and go out. I hear costumes can be anything. I can have my tail out and meet people."

Still red, Nix nodded. "I...guess that's true," he said. "I'll, uh, think about it." He nodded more. "And I'll keep that in mind, too." He swirled his drink some, now that it was starting to get low. "Who was your, uhm... friend, anyway? What was he like?" Maybe a sensitive topic, but Arthur mentioned it again, so his curiosity got the better of him. Also might get him to stop feeling so flustered.

"He was kind and sweet. Very gentle and very new to romance. Liked acting. What was nice was that he had no issue with me being with him or being a Mauvian. It was clear the day we met." He said as he looked into his cup, swirling the last bit of it around the bottom.
"He was also a Negaverse officer."

Nix nodded as Arthur described the guy, up until the mention of being a negaverser. He froze at that point, and blinked a couple times. "R-really?" he managed. Nix, of course, had a bit of a "punch on sight" rule for negaversers, but he'd been proven wrong a few times about specific individuals, so he didn't freak out about it. "Huh. That's...unexpected."

"It was foolish. You can say it. I know it was stupid. I could have just as easily been lured into a trapped or corrupted at any point and I dismissed my own safety and life because I wanted to be with a human." He finished the last of coffee.
"It's just nice to be looked at as a man and not a animal. To be desired and wanted for who I am and what I can offer. To be seen instead of disregarded of being capable of something so complex or seen as just a cat, first and foremost. I am not ashamed of being a Mauvian, but our likeness to pets hinders our relationships. I liked how he looked at me. Like someone he could fall in love with."
He was quiet for a moment.
"I don't believe Negaverse agents are bad by themselves. They are just people we didn't get to soon enough and made a bad choice." He breathed out and looked out across the street. "It was nice while it lasted. I hope he is safe - wherever he is."

"I, uh, wasn't gonna say it," Nix said softly. "But, you're right. I don't think they're all bad...though some of them are, and their bosses definitely are bad." He sighed. "And, you know, anyone who looks at you and sees just a cat is a fool." He shook his head. "I don't see you that way, you know."

"Yes. Some truly awful people do exist out there. The Negaverse's corrupt has a strong influence on people, but some drink it in too much and loose themselves. To those, I only hope they stay away from everyone." Bit they were usually the ones doing the most harm.
"Thank you, Nix. I know you don't. I can see it in your eyes. It's why I offered myself in the first place." He stretched his arms above him.
"It would be nice if we could just purify them all, but so many are too loyal. It wish there were new ways to show them that their side if lying to them. Ah, but what are you going to do. We have enough on our plate."
He stretched again.
"I should probably head out. I told Nico I would be home soon "

Nix smiled, a little blush still on his face from that remark, but pressed on with the main topic. "That would be good," he agreed with a nod. "We just gotta get, like, a propaganda radio station or something." He finished off the last of his drink, then. "Combine that with somehow getting our side organized, and we might actually accomplish something."

"Organization would be great. What I'd like is for us Mauvians to have people volunteer to take in the senshi we awaken so they have a mentor. I've been trying but I'm not a senshi. I can't teach them how it all works out a d changing to this could get them killed. Our Network a d unity is lacking" He said.
"I do hope this moon course goes well." He said in the vein of their hopes of changing things.

"Well, I'll tell you because I know you wouldn't purposely try and get him in trouble if you did see him."
"His name is Kainite. Slender build. Young. Shirt blackish hair that curls in, and lovely rose-colored eyes. Almost pink in a way. Clean-shaven. He doesn't seem to type to want to attack on sight and didn't come off as murderous to me when I met him. When we did meet, he was lax and just wanted to talk. It is what made dating him easy. He was very receptive to it all and we agreed to bit try to look too much into each other in case our identities were found out. Trust is hard to come buy when you are in opposing sides."
He dragged a claws fingernail down the cup's side.
"If you do see him, don't say anything about me. I just want to be sure he is alive. If he doesn't wish to see me, then that is fine. I appreciated the time we had, but I'm not going to out his life in danger by trying to hunt him down or ask around for him."

"And if I do ever see him, I'll just tell you about it." He nodded. "Who knows? Maybe he found a way to purify, and will turn up again when he remembers he should!"

"Hmmm. If he purified...he'd be a knight then. That's a novel thought. It would be nice to think that's why and that he forgot due to the change over. I do like that as a comforting thought." He looked to Nix, grateful for that idea.
."but as it stands, I need to look to greener pastures and keep looking for someone new. I won't be defeated in my desires." He said, set to find himself a new human to do things with.
Then a thought dawned on him. "Do you think we can do those things to meet people. Speed dating but for order. Then it won't matter who is who because we don't have to hide our identities. You could find someone too!"
