"How did you get up here, and is it...safe?" There was a hint of fear in her voice at the prospect, hands still trying to find keys and failing because they certainly weren't there. "And unfortunately, no, no keys hiding up here. We have to keep it secure so we have to each have our own key and...God, this is going to be embarrassing if I have to call for someone to come let us in."

"Oh, I jumped," Nix replied easily, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. "You've got your car keys, right? Or house keys? We can get down easy, though it might be a bit, uh, startling." He considered briefly, then held out a green-gloved hand. "My name's Nix, by the way."

" Jumped?" Surely she was mishearing things. Surely. Then again, with his outfit...musician or not, he might be a little bit off his rocker. Maybe. "House keys -- I mean, I have a spare key under the doormat at home, and it's not a far walk from here." She scratched at the back of her neck. "I'm just glad I don't have to open tomorrow." At the outstretched hand, she arched an eyebrow for a moment before taking and shaking. "I'm Michelle. Nice to meet you, Nix."

He grasped firmly, but not super hard or anything, and shook. "Nice to meet ya too." He let go of her hand, and moved toward the ledge again. "Anyway, good, so you won't be stuck outside once we get back down!" He nodded. "I'm, uh, a lot stronger than I look," he told her. "I don't suppose you've heard about all the weird stuff that happens in Destiny City?" He touched his hand to his chest, just below the frog brooch. "Well, in a way, I'm part of weird happenings. So, what we're gonna do, if you're okay with it, of course, is that I pick you up," he mimed scooping her up, "And then hop down. We land with a bit of a thump, then I set you down! All good." He gave a nod to conclude his explanation. "Easy!"

"There's always weird stuff happening anywhere I go," Michelle snorted. "It comes with the terf of being a librarian. You wouldn't believe all the things we end up having happen within these walls." Still, she listened to Nix, head tilting further and further to the side. "So, what, you're like the frog boy off of the X-Men? Forgot his name but like he hops and stuff, and clings to walls, and...eats flies. Please tell me you don't eat flies."

Nix snickered at the suggestion of weird things happening in the library. He didn't doubt it at all, though he was pretty sure it wasn't the same sort of weird he'd been talking about. He let it go, though. "Toad!" he supplied, and grinned broadly. "Kind of like that, I guess, except I'm a hero, not a villain, and...no, I don't eat flies," he shook his head, making a face. "That'd be a little gross, hehe." He held out a hand to her. "So, you ready? Or, uh, would you prefer a demonstration first?"

"Good, because I can't imagine how bad anyone's breath would be after eating those. Eugh." She shuddered, shoulders shrugged upward as she closed her eyes and made a face. "Not my fault that's the first thing I thought of, 'cause -- you're hopping like he does, and...well they're -- I think mutants are usually stronger in the comics and TV shows? And if you can carry me...you'd be carrying easily twice your weight." Cautiously she went closer to the edge, looking down, at an angle, unable to bring herself to the edge itself or look straight down. "And if you demonstrate I might just pass out and that would probably make things harder for you. At least if I just...go with you, you'll have grass to put me on or something." She took in a deep, shaky breath looking up and stepping closer to where Nix was standing, hesitating before giving him her hand. "If we're going to splat instead of land, just move me so I won't feel a thing, please..."

"Alright, well," Nix replied, taking her hand gently before stepping in closer to deftly sweep her up, with about as much effort as one might expect if she was filled with light foam. "Think of it like a theme park ride, cuz," he took a step, then another. "Here," up to the ledge, "we..." he squatted a bit, "Go!" he declared, and popped into the air, dropping down, down...and after a surprisingly short amount of time, they landed! Nix bent with the drop, so that Michelle could definitely feel the impact, but it wasn't all that terrible. He grinned at her as he set her down. "See? Not so bad!"

Michelle yelped as she was scooped up -- she wasn't expecting it to happen quite so easily, it was almost as if they were both floating in water rather than standing on the ground or...something connected to the ground anyway. And then he moved up to the ledge and already there was a faint whimpering in the back of her throat as he got closer and closer and the moment she felt him jump and the air moving, she was screaming her head off, her eyes closed as she awaited the harsh impact that was surely to come. Only it didn't come. Well. Not a harsh impact, at the least. Instead there was just a bit of a bump and she was being set down, hands scrambling to grasp as she opened her eyes, legs shaking. "Wait. Wait, wait, wait, you -- you just did that? You're not just a kid in a costume? Oh, my God."

"I did tell you there were weird things in Destiny City," Nix said with a grin, taking a step back to give her some breathing room. "So, yeah, I'm a kid in a costume...and not." He nodded. "Hopefully if you ever do come across one of the bad weird things in the city, someone like me is around to help. I'd like to think we usually are close enough to help, but, uh...you hear things in the news sometimes."

"I wouldn't call you a weird thing," Michelle managed to get out as she tugged down on her shirt. "Weird person, maybe but not weird thing. But I feel that would be a compliment for you so...yeah that was weird. I thought you were kidding and then we were moving and then -- and then no splat! No splatting at all! You really are like someone from the X-Men..." She cleared her throat. "I mean, hopefully I don't run into the like. Colorful spandex Brotherhood of Costumes or anything, but if I do, I'll know what to do. Scream my head off and hope someone like you is near. Oh, my God. I should -- I should go bed -- I mean, go home, and go to bed." Things always made more sense after sleeping....right?

Nix laughed and nodded. "I'm a weird person, who causes weird things," he supplied. "I think we're supposed to keep our presence, you know, on the down low, to not attract too much bad attention...but I think letting people know we're around, now and then, is good." "The colorful ones are usually the good guys," he added after she mentioned her worries. "Sleep is probably good. Can you make it home alright?" He figured she might think this was just a really odd dream right now, and who knew what she'd think tomorrow...

"You don't cause weird things, you do them," Michelle said absently. "Leaping from a building like you're the frog Superman. And I mean, aside from the fact I was halfway worried I would need to call the police because of a random busker on the roof, I don't think you were attracting bad attention, for what it's worth?" She nodded slightly. "Okay, colorful is good. I'll...try to remember that and hope I don't need it, to be perfectly honest. If there's things between bad and good, I'd rather, y'know, be safe and away from it." Maybe this was a dream. The only thing that said this wasn't was the sense of nausea she had building in her gut. It wasn't pain, but she didn't think it was possible to feel nauseous in your sleep, either. She could be wrong, though. "I -- I think I can? Will have to see when I get there. It's not far, luckily, just...man, I'm wobbly. But you -- you probably have school in the morning, you should go sleep."

"Not that kind of bad attention," Nix said quietly, without expanding on it. "I can sleep in art class," Nix replied with a big grin. "It happens a lot. I'll get too invested in doing something or another, and then whew boy, mornings suck." He laughed. "But anyway, yeah, I guess I should...I'll make sure nobody needs me, then go on home...I," he paused, and closed his eyes for just a moment. "don't think there's anything else supernatural nearby, so you should be fine." He gave her a bit of an exaggerated bow, and said, "So, good night!" before making a show of leaping up and away--he'd had a bit of practice with it, so was pretty good at aiming where he went. If one was watching closely, they could see him land neatly in some grass unlit by streetlights nearby, and then he slipped away. meynara Abrupt and dramatic...the perfect way to end, I think~ I'll call that a Fin on my end. Thanks for playing.

"Art is the last class I'd think you should sleep in," Michelle couldn't help but mutter, smoothing down her hair and paying attention to Nix, listening to what he said, trying to make sense of everything. Then he was saying something about supernatural and well -- after having been brought down from the roof of the library via a kid with frog like abilities, she couldn't exclude the possibility of such things existing but then he was hopping away and -- "Wait! Be safe out there, okay?" She wasn't sure if he actually heard her yelling, but she only got a soft breeze in response. Eyes cast up towards the sky, she let out a sigh. "You know, if this was like some crazy hero movie, that kid would've been older and there would've been wind blowing my hair away...instead I get a breeze, a kid, and hair tickling my nose." What a night. Time to go home. Tolin Kalin Sounds good! Michi just had a little more she wanted to do but now she done, too xD
