"Ey, Lan, you don't gotta be mean..." Gryphon grumbled as the blond boy's snappish tone sent Winter scurrying. He still didn't really have that great an idea what was going on, and he had half a mind to demand, 'What's the matter with you? Why are you acting like this? What's happening here?' Even if he was calmer than Winter or Landry, he wasn't so daft as to not realize that he was well out of his element, where at least both of them didn't have that problem... Even if the anxiety in the room was palpable, it was only so because Gryphon was here at all, wasn't it? It really might be easier on Lan if he left...
Then Landry turned on him, and Gryphon was reminded that no, wait, he'd been invited here this time because they were supposed to do something together. It was hardly his fault Lan had forgotten about him and invited someone else around to do s**t with and had to make up some ridiculous-a** story about criken plants-
"Oi, y'know what? Yeah. I must be super ********' daft cause I have'n ever heard of a plant poppin' outta the ground and whippin' people like you look."
He stepped forward, wrapping a hand around Landry's arm to steady him because he did look messed up and about to be ill, and it was obvious he hardly needed to be on his feet. "An no, can't leave," Gryphon grumbled more mutedly. "Even if you're embarrassed or whatever, you need to go to the hospital. At very least, I gotta make sure you're a'right..."

Seeing Winter scurry off only doubled the guilt he felt. Pile that ontop of how Gryph reacted to his flustered reaction to the horribly timed sex suggestion and Landry found himself just wishing he was in his bedroom hiding away.
"Sorry..." It was muttered, but he meant it, and found himself leaning more heavily against Gryph than he actually wanted. "It's been happening for years, explosions, terrorism, weird aliens and all crazy nonsense like that. I'm telling the truth... It sounds crazy, but I mean it, It's the truth."
Stabilized for the moment, Landry took a seat again, groaning in pain. "I don't need the hospital. I'll be alright. Heh... But yeah, I know you're not leaving. You don't ever leave no matter how many times I demand it, so I can't figure why now would change. Besides me asking all bloodied and beatup."
His gaze went to the hallway, wondering how Winter was doing. Was he a youma now...?
"You're calm... And I trust you so, believe me when I say Winter has his reasons for wanting you to leave. I've not lied to you yet, have I? Then believe me when I say that He's my friend, there's nothing sex related between us, and he... Really can't come out of there until you leave. Unless you go ask him what's wrong yourself."

Winter had taken off his shirt, k owing that he couldn't change his pants. Landry might have been a skinny girl but she was tall which meant only sweatpants would work. He did his best to clean the blood where his leg had been grabbed. Then he took the towel and wiped off his face, body, and arms.
He paused to look in the mirror. The markings on his face were back, his eyes back to a faintly glowing yellow, and the ears sat back against his head.
"I can't help him now. I'm just a mess." And Landry knew it. He had a much more capable friend here now. One who. Right him food and could spend however long he wanted with him. He wasn't needed now and now he was even worse by having an energy signature here.
"Remember, you choose this life. You are the one that wanted this. This is your life now. You can't be like them." He said to the mirror and placed a band-aid on his forehead where a cut oozed into his eye. Wiping it away, he tossed the bloodied shirt and towel into the trash. He threw on a pink shirt and then a purple hoodie on top of that to help hide his ears and arms. It wasn't great but at least he wasn't looking like a Halloween movie extra with all the blood on him.
Sighing, he looked around to the bathroom window and stared out of it. "Why do you love so high up." There was no way he could make it down in his state. Half-youma or not, he was tied and aching. He could maybe hide here for a while but then what? He had to leave through the door.
He just remembered Landry's tone and it ached in his chest. He wanted to be angry at him for being mad at him when he was the one who even brought him here but he couldn't muster the energy right now above the hollow feelings of inadequacy.
He just wanted to be back in his room now, and still hadn't called for a pickup yet.

"Mmm..." The sound was noncommital as it rumbled from his throat. Gryphon wasn't so daft that he didn't know anything about explosions and terrorism, but to say that any of that was from a plant or aliens was another matter entirely. There was no telling the kind of stuff Landry believed in, he supposed... Lan was still pretty young and gullible... He carded his fingers through the blond's hair as the smaller man leaned against him, and Gryphon sighed softly.
Yeah, it sounded crazy, alright. But maybe that wasn't Landry's fault. He still wished he had a better idea of what happened outside of 'I want to get groceries and a plant attacked me!' ...But there'd be time for that later.
"It's cause you're asking when you're all bloodied and beat-up that I'm not listening, Lan," Gryphon grumbled. He obviously needed help that he wasn't willing to see out from a professional for some reason, though Gryphon had less than zero idea why that would be. It definitely wasn't like Landry couldn't afford piles more than a makeshift med-service from a weird friend. Narrowed sunny-colored eyes flicked briefly in the direction Winter had fled to, then back to Landry as he flopped back on the couch.
Gryphon could not have possible cared any less why Landry's friend had holed himself up in the bathroom.
Which... was weird, wasn't it? Gryphon didn't usually just outright not care when someone could be pretty hurt or if something was wrong. He wasn't a completely unempathetic person... But he didn't know much about Landry's 'old friend' besides that he had been involved in whatever had scratched up Landry's skin, and he was here now and had obviously been here before, since he seemed to know where he ought to scurry off to, which was more than Gryphon could say about Landry's apartment...
"...Fine," he muttered stiffly. "Guess I'll go ask the lil dingo what his deal is, then," he said as he trudged down the hallway.
Only one of the doors was closed, so regardless of his exact level of interest, Gryphon wrapped his knuckles against the bathroom door. There really could be a kid, as he hadn't looked particularly older than Landry, hurt from whatever plant had assaulted them- god, what a load of bull. "Winter?" Gryphon grunted. "You okay in there?"

Winter was no longer went and went back to Wolframite. The half-youma had been looking out the bathroom window of the luxury apartment Landry lived in and saw that there wasn't enough of a lip to start scaling the many, many floors down to the ground. Not only that but this high up, the wind would have knocked him off the side of the building. He really needed to get strong enough to teleport to avoid these situations.
The knock surprised him and for a glimmering moment he thought it was Landry. When it was another voice, his mood soured instantly.
"I'm fine." He grumbled.
He had been having a nice moment fixing up La dry and then this guy came, this NEW friend, and now everything sucked.
"You should be with Landry. I only sewed up the major parts. He needs bandaged. You should be watching him if you are going to mess with everything and stay." It wasn't like he could continue with claws now. As good as he had gotten with them, holding a needle was not in his range of abilities.
Then, weak to his own insecurity, he added. "Landry clearly likes your company so go."
Liked Gryph enough to yell at him instead.
He felt miserable. He just wanted to find a hat and a big hoodie and sneak out of here. Lick his wounds and wounded pride back home.

This wasn't a choice he would've made, if Landry hadn't asked Gryphon to go check on his friend. He would not have chosen to be here, standing in front of this closed door asking about a boy he didn't know or care anything about while the person he had actually come to see bled all over the furniture. None of this was what he'd expected of his night, and for this little s**t to take that tone with him for reasons Gryph didn't understand-
"You shoulda taken him to the hospital," Gryphon snapped back. "So someun with a degree and training could fix him up proper and give him the attention he needs, 'stead of you tryin' to play field medic and quittin' partway through cause of whatever temper you got."
What a sodden c**t, coming at Gryphon as though he'd done something offensive by showing up, when he'd been invited, and then not leaving after seeing his date in a state of wreck. What person in their right mind could even expect someone to come in on this, decide this is fine and then leave as if there was nothing to it? Sexual suspicions aside (because no, they weren't alleviated despite Landry's assurances that he 'wouldn't lie'), there were still two hurt kids in this apartment, and Gryphon had some degree of conscience.
But he would probably be less suspicious if someone wasn't so bloody defensive.
"He sent me to ask how you were since he cares about you. And since I care about him, figured I wouldn't be a right wanker about it, and would just do what he asked. More than I can say for some people, mate," Gryphon snorted. "Come outta there."

Quitting? QUITTING?! "I had it all under control until your dumb oblivious a** came in and made a mess of it all. I've fixed up hundreds of wounds so don't come at me like I'm playing around here. I know my s**t. I only stopped cause Landry asked if you hadn't noticed when you were standing right ******** there!" He growled out.
"If you cared so much you'd have ignored his stupid request and watched him. God, you're so stupid " He barked at the door, glaring into the wood where he knew the other guy was. He was too tired and aching too much to deal with some ignorant human who didn't know what someone who really knee what was going on looked like.
....more than I can say for some people, mate.
He gritted his teeth hard. "I'd watch what you say or I'll make you regret showing up, you ******** p***k. You have no idea what you're dealing with right now."
"Be a good boy and leave."

Landry had thought this would go smoothly. He took up residence on the couch, eyes closed relaxing as he heard Gryph’s steps fade down the hall.
They were all adults, right? Nothing would go wrong while he rested and tried to let himself stop bleeding.
Nope.
Even half out of it as he was, he could hear the growling and the snapping. The last thing he needed was for a fight to break out, or worse, Winter deciding that Gryph was a liability and just taking his starseed...
That thought sent a panic through him, and he shot up again, hobbling down the hall with a wince.
“That’s enough, both of you.” He called out as he pushed his way between Gryphon and the closed door. “You both are worried and want to help... I really appreciate it, but please just stop arguing... My head is splitting and I just want you two to talk... Or leave, if you can’t stop bickering like children.”

The hypocrisy.
Gryphon wouldn't ever argue that he wasn't maybe a bit shorter of mind than the average person, and he was fine with that. He couldn't be bothered to care who knew or who insulted him over it or who dared him to say otherwise. But when he walked in on basic bush survival that stopped because Landry had asked, Gryphon couldn't even begin to fathom how anyone could get off on bitching at him for not sitting at his side because Landry had asked him to do something else.
He didn't know what this guy's issue was, and he didn't frankly care. He'd been the metaphorical 'bigger person,' coming to ask if everything was alright, and Gryphon wasn't about to stand here and take s**t for it. If Winter wanted to sit in the bathroom and sulk, fine. Gryphon couldn't come up with a reason why it should bother him.
Turning, he started back down the hall, only for Landry to wedge himself between Gryphon and the closed door. "You're friend's kind of a b***h," Gryph grumbled softly.
That probably wasn't exactly a stop to the argument, but Gryphon wasn't going to stand here anymore, anyway. "Sorry, Lan," he hummed softly as he dipped to touch a kiss to the top of the blond boy's head as he took a step in the direction Landry had come from. "Get out whatever needs getting out between you. I'll just wait in the living room," he said before heading to do just that.

There was no noise behind the door for a moment, waiting till he felt Gryph was gone, before the door opened.
Wolframite moved to look at Landry, the stitched that were pulling and the still leaking wounds. He sighed and moved past him to rifle through Nubi's things.
"I'll throw on a hoodie and get out of your hair. Let your friend take care of you. I can't hold a needle now but he should be able to bandage you at least or take you to the hospital like he wants." He didn't look at him. Landry didn't want or need him hear. As Wolframite, he was only good for fighting and killing. Not this. This needed soft hands. Needed people who could stay all night with Landry. As much as it pained him, he couldn't be that person.
"Without a cat here I'm only making things worse. I wanted to get you at least patched up before I went." He managed to find an oversized hoodie. Clearly male. Possibly stolen from some guy Nubi met.
He threw it on, wincing at the pain in his side. He licked the top of his arm a few times to clean off the blood and then threw the hood over his ears. If anyone directly looked at him, he'd be questioned. The eyes and face markings. But if he just does past the desk attendant then he should be fine enough to go a block or two and lay down somewhere until a general showed up to take him. Things were feeling way too warm now and he didn't know how long he had before he started soaking through the borrowed clothes.
"Distract him as I leave. I can't hide my tail with anything here. Again, he didn't look at Landry but stared at the open bedroom door, his voice a restrained even tone. He wanted to be mean and say something at Landry but the man had gone through enough and it felt too pretty in the moment.

A brief sense of relief came with that kiss and Gryph backing down and heading back to the living room. Honestly, he hadn’t expect Gryphon to get angry or rough... From what he learned, he was a gentle giant at his best and just a mildly annoying pest at his worst.
... Wolframite got angry though. He had what seemed like a temper and was violent quicker than being understanding.
When the door opened, Landry had made take Wolfy’s hand, but was just pressed past. With a sigh, he followed behind the halfling, closing the door behind him to try to keep Gryph from overhearing them too much.
“... You don’t need to to that, you know... I can call a general for you if you want? I think I have a favor owed by one or another who would be happy to bring you home.. I know you wanted to help, and you did. I can’t blame you for the interruption or for being just as exhausted as I am. I’m sorry for yelling... I never imagined the only friends I have meeting like this... And Gryphon is... Um... He’s not like us... He’s just a civilian and I just know he wouldn’t do well in the Negaverse so please, just keep meeting him to yourself.”

He sighed at that. "Fine."
He slowly eased himself on the edge of Nubi's bed. "If a general comes, we have to play that Gryph is one of us. So they don't think I'm exposing myself to civilians." And while the idea of staying in the apartment any longer wasn't on the too of his list. Having security stop him or passing out in the street wasn't ideal either.
"I'm sorry. He just riled me up. I didn't even know anyone else in your life. It's not like you talked about him not that I feel you have to about everyone you know. You have a life outside of the Negaverse and me after all." He swallowed that fact down hard.
"Just coming at me like I'm a lunatic keeping you here to bleed out - I don't appreciate it. I would never do something that would get you killed like that."
He stared up, looking at him. "I won't do anything but sit here till a general shows up. If not I can just walk out right now. Can you get him to bandage you? I don't like you moving around like this."

"Gryph can go wait in his truck and then I can go down to the hospital like he wants. That way you both can rest assured that im alright. " As the moment seemed to be going smoothly, Landry took a seat beside Wolfy. Awkward, yes, but nothing they hadn't felt before.
"I met him when we weren't speaking really, as I said... In the beginning I really didn't want to have anything to do with him. But he kept pushing and pushing, and now... Well, we were going to hang out today before the whole plant thing." Though he had before told himself that touching wasn't a good idea, there was no helping himself from reaching for that paw and holding it.
"Gryph is a little Daft himself, but just like you, he worries about me. I was hoping you two would talk it out or something. "

He let his hand be taken, wincing only from where the plants had dug into him on his arms.
"I think the situation could have been better to meet your new friends. Mainly when they aren't showing up when I'm trying to keep you from bleeding and not 10 minutes from going werewolf." He breathed out.
"Kinda late to be meeting a friend." He muttered.
"He seems pushy but if cares about you living then I can't hate him all the way."
"You can just go to the truck with him now. I can find a way home. It's no biggie and you should go sooner then waiting around."

"You seem upset." Landry was far too tired to deal with high running emotions. It seemed like one person was potentially thinking he was sleeping around with another person , and the other was just... He didn't exactly know but it felt like they cared more about their own stubbornness and irritation than Landry's physical state.
Of course, they were entitled to, but not in his house.
He stood up and simply nodded."As few friends as I have, I care about them all, just as I care and love you, but now is not the time to unpack it all. Let's go rest and recover more, then we can talk. Is that fair?"
