“Work has been going well enough now that the season has been picking up,” Aiden replied, though he felt it was a bit of an odd topic to ask about. Then again he didn’t really talk much about any of his jobs really. Everything just felt very routine with the exception of the responsibilities associated with being a Page of Mercury. That, however, was one conversation he dare not broach with his boyfriend if only to keep him safe.

“Mmm, finally with the warm weather people are going to swim. That’s a job I could never do - too many children and too much chance for people to get hurt.” Though a case could be made for his evening job, which Aiden didn’t know about, being far more dangerous. How he was still alive he’d wondered once or twice, given some of the injuries he’d sustained and the battles he’d been in. He was lucky, and by now skilled, he supposed.

“Some of the kids from last year have really improved their swimming skills. One of them has actually joined the dive team.” It was actually kind of impressive really because he remembered when the young girl first started showing up at the pool almost five years ago. Terrified of getting into the water or her ears getting plugged, and now she’s on her way to joining her varsity diving team at her junior high.

“That’s good. I assume you helped them improve?” Alexandre questioned, smiling a bit more. He was proud of Aiden, even if the job wasn’t something he himself could ever do. “I hope they do well on their dive team...though I’m sure they will.” Of course he was sure of it. Aiden had helped them and Alexandre did have a rather high opinion of his partner.

Aiden positioned the umbrellas in the sand then opened them up so Alex had a shady place to sit. “I’m going to take them over to the dog area and let them run off some of their energy.” Being around a ton of people was exciting for a young pup like Riley, even though he was almost two years old. Cadha, on the other hand, was more well behaved; then again some things come with age.

“Ok, want me to join you or going on your own?” Shifting about as he went to get sunblock on himself, - so he could join Aiden, if the other wanted. “Take a drink with you if you go on your own.”

“Nah, it’s fine. I got it. You just relax for a bit.” Aiden opened the cooler and got out a chilled water bottle for himself. “I’ll leave you to watch the stuff, we’ll be back in probably about ten to fifteen minutes.” Long enough for the dogs to wear themselves out a bit so they could trust them to not tear off down the beach with the umbrella in tow if they tethered their leashes to it.
