Personality: Honorable
Chalcedony takes after his father; he'd have to, since his mother wasn't really around. He values kindness, honesty, and chivalry, taking up the role of a knight at an early age. His attempts to be knightly when he was just a colt were clumsy at best, but his heart was always in the right place. These things take time and practice, after all. Because of the situation with his parents, he vows to never fall in love with his charges. He would, ideally, love to find another knight to be his mate -- some day. He's in no rush, really, as his duties take precedence. He's very protective of Opalescent Moon, whether or not they actually need it. Chalcedony worries that his sibling's small size could easily be taken advantage of by stronger, more powerful beings.

Personality: Mimic. Opalite is just a pale imitation of Opal after all. Somehow along the way this boy didn't develop a strong personality of his own. However, while he doesn't necessarily need outpourings of attention, he does have an craving to be liked, and in his young mind that translated into something akin to "being like them will make them like you." He easily picks up other's mannerisms and goes along with their ideas and beliefs. This does make him extra susceptible to those that might wish him ill, but he's just as likely to end up with a pleasant future depending on who he crosses paths with. Being around others who fight/squabble, where he's forced to take a side, is a nightmare for him.
