The gentleman before her seemed more pleasant, glaring slightly as she heard him chuckle. Though she had no clue as to why he did so, her glare turned to one of confusion. Her understanding of social interactions were not very good, so being out here with another person was much a test to her as any. After introducing herself, she was not surprised when he had commented on her name sounding familiar, especially to one familiar in the natural healing arts. "Dracaena Cinnabari, also known as dragon's blood. It is from the bark of said tree and used as a blood thinner sometimes," Drac informed him, even as he muttered to himself.

He then looked away, quiet almost, and she waited for him to speak then. Her blue-gray eyes leaving him only long enough to see where Freya was flying to; a branch just a yard away. Her eyes then returned to the canine faunus politely. A professor of Beacon, that seemed to impress the human female a bit. Grimm studies, that was a memorable class, she had thought before internally shaking herself; bringing herself back to the present.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Professor Lysander," Ms. Lenz replied, addressing him respectfully so. I wonder if he's met Miss Tora yet, The woman thought absently, but decided not to pry.

Instead, she would focus on the here and now. And she still had some gathering to do. Though she could not help but be curious as to why he would be wrinkling his nose, she would only guess he smelt something unpleasant in that moment. So she would not ask, it was not her concern. His transition towards the natural tea had done just that.
"That should be easy enough to find, closer in the east, I believe," Drac replied. "I'm heading that way now. If you'd like, we may walk together. If not, may our paths cross again someday," She offered casually yet polite, and with that, she bowed her head slightly and began her journey eastward; she still had gathering to do.

With a name finally received, one could finally relax. Quite a bit of a mouthful her name actually was, but it sounded oddly satisfying with her tone of voice. The most about it that had Fuyuki actually contain a better expression, had been the meaning of her name. Dragon's blood? The man never saw that one coming. Names usually held no meaning of interest, when one introduced themselves. Normal cases of plain Jane meaning relatable to "hope," "happiness," and god forbid, "cat." Chat was a horrible name for a child. So was Gato, or anything with Neko. That kind of meeting had resulted in a slap by an overprotective mother, since of course speech was free and he would make it. People just couldn't take criticism anymore!!
A saving grace by present encounter this was, to know humanity wasn't COMPLETELY stupid. Dragon's blood was an interesting concept. Not to mention he had yet to discover some forms of trees and flora in other languages, aside from common ones such as Willow, Lily, and Rose. This discovery would also lean more  towards learning more intel he had forgot all about. Dragons blood as a blood thinner. This actually brought a genuine grin on the face, his pointed canine incisors showing clear as day. " A sensibly reasonable name, with a knowledgeable explanation to it. Rather intriguing... Fitting. You have my acknowledgement. It is.. Adamantly pleasing." Someone pinch him. Some planet had to have been in unalignment somewhere for this to happen. Did it kill him to smile? Indeed it had. His face muscles hurt like a son of a b***h. Safe to say for his sake Drac had began to continue on. Towards his own title though? Fuyuki never really had taken it into much consideration.  She at least was not coming off to him as overly impressed as one or two others in the past, but more mutually respectful. Commentary agreement with equal tone was tolerable. There was no telling what he would think of the previous professor before him. He never met the guy. All of this was not helping with the itch. He was aware she had noticed, though said nothing about it. "hmph." Finally. After a few more circular curls the dreaded sensation itched. Like he could have taken the eye patch in front of her!! Keeping the topic towards the items they were searching for was more beneficial. "East..."
Hm.

Fuyuki made himself ponder. Surely walking in pairs...er... A trio.. Would prove a safe passage through? There was no telling if something were to jump out at either one of them, and he had no plans to proceed on picturing recurring thoughts over again. The decision was not a long one to make, which, with neutral responding, there was no point in rejecting. "...If that sounds reasonable, I would be disrespectful if I said no to someone, who may possess more interesting advice on herbal remedies. A rare occurance. I may regret to say I am not one for a giant amount of talking... My hammer and I are at your service for this exhibition." That was surely a mannerly way to agree surely? If she changed her mind there was not much else he could say. Both were here on their free will, as well as their answers and choices made. He only could hope this would go smooth. His first option of course was to continue surveying as they would walk. The scent of pine needles were a lot sharper of a scent then many of the fallen leaves dampening the area with their own unique scents.

His response to her name actually made her smile a little. He was rather an interesting fellow. His grin was a pleasant surprise as well, though she did not understand completely. As for having the professor's acknowledgement, she would take it as maybe it was rare. But, she had a to get on with her herb and plant gathering. When he repeated her answer, the East was where they had to go and offered joining her, she would nod and continue on, not sure if he Would actually join her.

As she walked at a casual pace, Freya would fly farther ahead towards the East (at least a couple yards or so). It would appear that the avian was scouting. Drac was pleasantly surprised once again when the professor had offered her his hammer. In response to his offer and the comment of not being much for conversation, she shrugged slightly.
"If you don't mind me not being much for conversation either, I think we shall do well. I shall enjoy the company of you and your hammer," Drac answered casually while he joined her.

Ms. Lenz walked comfortably alongside the tall gentleman for quite some time in a comfortable silence, looking around at their surroundings as she did so.
Ah, that is an interesting plant, The woman thought as she looked down and to the left. Pausing in her walking, she would begin to walk off the path without warning before pausing to look back. Slightly admonishing herself mentally for walking off on someone. "Do forgive me, I noticed a plant I had been meaning to forage for quite some time," Drac told him, sincerely apologetic but also calm about it. After his response, she would go back to harvesting the woody vine of the sarsaparilla, more specifically the root. Once it was properly harvested, she carefully placed it in her basket and slowly stood up.

Keeping up with the doctor had been fairly easy for the walk ahead east. With their height differences, and his longer legs, Fuyuki had no troubles at all with his own pace remaining neutral. His hands into his pockets, the faunus followed like an obedient pup (god forbid someone point that out.) It wasn't everyday he for once had accompanied someone he only just met in the woods. Eh. She seemed to be harmless enough. That was at least in his mind set. How she survived in the woods so many times on the other hand, judging by the way she was handling herself through plant searching, he could never guess. The way she carried herself off to look was astonishing. It was as if she had no cares in the world towards any possible dangers that could pop out any given minute. Either she was ditzy, ballsy, hyper focused, passionate about her work, or she was all of the above. Either way, Fuyuki was at least only somewhat amused. There was at least comfort in knowing she was not one for conversation either. It helped clear the air a bit. Her apology could have been left out though. Apologies annoyed him. "Why apologize for something based on your habit? There is no need to worry about such a thing." Simple and short he had been with it, which was pretty much his way of dealing. Of course she could not be the only one to be looking about. He had his own to search. What were they again? Ah yes. Comfrey, Lavender, peppermint leaves, and pine needles.
"May as well get to my own."

The first on his mine had been the pine needles. Among the trees, it was a difficulty to find. Fuyuki had to rely on his sense of smell with his eyes closed in the process, in order to smell out one tree scent from another. It wasn't until had caught a sharper scent of pine had he finally made way, only managing to find barely a few needles among the ground. Hmph. Pitiful find. Taking a small carving knife from his pocket, he had etched a tiny line with his knife into the bark, to signifi he himself had already searched the spot.
He had a lot of lesser luck on finding lavender, as it was completely out of season as it was in the first place, given the season. After trying on that he could only growl under his breath, at least trying for comfrey, only to have the same result. "Blasted fall leaves..."
With a shake of his head, Fuyuki could only look over his shoulder, keeping an eye on Drac from his position. So far she seemed to be faring well from what he could see for himself. Good. Hopefully she was faring better than he. At least with his last ingredient, he had hit the jackpot. Mint leaves. They were nestled on the underside of a fallen branch, just off the pathway in nice shade. With a careful use of his carving knife, he had only taken a few leaves, making sure to only take as much as needed. He left the root alone in order for the plant to get a chance to continue it's growth. Phew... Sweet dreams were sure to go into his mindset later on. If only he were one hundred percent sure, had he only found the lavender. He was satisfied.
Deciding to take a break now from his search, he had made way back onto the path, Choosing a tree to lean against in order to patiently wait for his companion. There was no rush. This had no meaning towards him unable to be able to rest his eyes from the bright lighting all around. The area was oo calming for him not to at least rest his lids while he would await.

It was no surprise to her that the professor, with his height and length in legs could keep up with her pace. It was rather pleasant really; which was not something she was used to on her foraging trips in the forest; with people at least. Ms. Lenz blinked and looked to him as he told her that there was no need to apologize for doing what came natural to her. Her companion would then continue with exploring on his own, to which she commended him as she would wait patiently. Having not found others that she wanted, the young doctor quietly noted things of interest, medical-wise, of course about the canine male. "Relatively healthy complexion and physique," Drac noted professionally, softly to herself while he was away. She would then look around to try and spot her avian pet, who was not to be seen anywhere at this time. Where did that silly girl go, The woman thought to herself before returning to the path.

As the tall man returned as well, she would look up and note that he had something within that white fur of his, just above his right ear. Reaching up before she could really think of what she was doing, she would carefully pluck a small yellow leaf. She would then let it go, the wind taking the small leaf on a journey elsewhere. The human female would then look to Lysander calmly.
"Come along, we still have a bit of a ways to go," Drac said politely. If she was effected, it did not show in the slightest. Then again, she probably did not seem to think in that way. As they continued down the unmarked path, Dr. Lenz was quiet for the most part, seeming lost in thought.

All these items he had managed to fin on his own strolling about, and there was one thing Fuyuki had kept his mind from concluding until now. The answer had been on where to put all his findings. Had he tried to put the flora into his pockets he would have a huge chance of damaging everything. He wouldn't dare on asking Drac for anything on this matter, as it wasn't her business to know how much lack of thought he had ohad on the task until now. At least the bird she had with them was nowhere near. There was a somewhat... Annoyance, and paranoia, wondering if he should believe the bird would be out to get him again or not. Ah... His coat may do the trick. The coat was only on by his neck, which would leave a lot of room for the herbs. that would have to do. The longer he would stand there thinking this, the more he would have kept her waiting. It wasn't polite to keep a lady. A custom he had no cares about, but due to the fact they were working together on this searching about, it was an exception he could make. If only he had checked his hair and fur beforehand.

When he had made it over her way, Fuyuki had to raise a brow in slight confusion. One moment she was still there, waiting. Approaching him, the next second... She was reaching out to his head. The warmth of her hand carried close to his skin like a soft caress, a gentle demeanor showing fully. This of course, had him holding back from snapping his jaws in warning, but the closer she had brought herself, the more he was almost sinking to that level. Was it fear of her being too close? Perhaps. He did not enjoy his space invaded so. "What is it that you are thinking on-" Before he could finish that sentence, he had been about to break into a growling state. That was until he had noticed within her hand... A yellow leaf? Having in mind that she was going to try an pet his ears, the flaring stillness in his ice blue eyes, had been about to rise his iris to it's normal state. This considerate action had given the opposite effect, blinking his one eye with a speechless amount of surprise at first. "....Thank you Doctor." This woman.....
Was this something she did with people a lot? Step into their personal space, being all too familiar? The kind gesture had him almost confused by this, the more the seconds grew. Asking had already proved to be pointless earlier on. He had learned that one quick.
she was ready to go, and the sooner they could get moving, the less he could overthink about what he had almost done. "....Right. Let us proceed forward." Bringing his hand out in an "after you miss," gesture, he himself had also taken route, keeping to himself at first. The silence helped his mind clear, the more quiet it had become. "hmm.." Darting his eye her way, there was him, taking note of the silence she had been possessing as well, hoddly hoping she was simply just trying to focus. "A penny for your thoughts doctor?"

Drac was unaware of the dangers she had nearly put herself in when she had gone to remove the leaf from the professor's head. As her blue-gray eyes had been only looking to the object she wanted to obtain. So, too did she not take into account the agitated tone within his voice when he had been about to ask her. She did, however, look to him when he had thanked her, merely nodding slightly in respect. "You're welcome, Professor," Drac replied before suggesting to head back on their journey and continuing on the unmarked path.

Walking with the tall gentleman alongside her in the forest was an unusual yet enjoyable experience to say the least. As they continued on their journey without much of a word, she found her mind wandering though.
"It's been a long time since I've traveled with someone other than Freya. Not since that day..." The woman thought. It had not occurred to the gentlewoman that her companion had been getting antsy, as she either looked ahead or discreetly to the different flora around them, more than at the tall canine faunus beside her. Truth be told, she had almost forgotten he was there since the quiet was so peaceful to her.

When Lysander spoke up, the fair human female actually startled a little, and by startled she had jumped ever-so-slightly. But, she fluidly continued walking without issue. Having been surprised like that, had made Drac need to clear her throat; a soft sound to say the least. She would then turn and look up to meet the professor's eye(s) calmly. After deciding that truth was the more respectful response rather than a fib of any measure would be, she answered.
"I was thinking about my present company, and how it had been quite a while since I've had any when entering this forest," Drac answered as they walked, looking back ahead after answering; never once regretting her response. "A penny for your thoughts, professor?" Drac retorted, now curious as to what the canine professor was thinking...

No argument? No defense? No backtalk on his growling, that had almost picked up rather quickly? It's a complete wonderment how this woman functioned. The more Fuyuki had believed he grasped an understanding on how the doctor worked, the more wrong he found himself being. Ugh. He hated being wrong! The fact he was becoming more wrong about her each passing second her him too close to discomfort on the ropes. All too much like some sort of non existing game, Fuyuki was getting closer to a shorter fuse all too quickly. The fuse could luckily be cooled down as well, oddly enough. Drac remained respectful. The moment he had understood his own mistake, there was indeed a bit of a flustered snort escaping him, which he had only done when she had continued walking on. No point on any further disrespect than he may have already carried... Or more so rather she had noticed any of it or not. Regardless, there was a silver lining or two out of this. The largest, and most noticeable benefactor towards the patience of his companion.

Normal cases, someone was angry around him. Majority of it being him angering someone, to a point they made their way somewhere he wasn't around. The possibility was more so towards her unique mindset. Never had he witnessed in such a long time, a person, whether faunus, or human, be so attuned with their own particular goals. Fuyuki was constantly unsure whether to be impressed, or outwardly raising up his questionable thoughts. Finally he had caved and had asked her, but the answer received to him... Had actually shocked him a little. "...Is that right..." A strange thing to ponder on, but Fuyuki couldn't judge her. Considering he had the same thought process somewhat, he simply made a small grin, his tail making a tiny wag to hearing the truthulness from her. "It is a rather refreshing pace I'll admit. Adequately... Settling." He even had to admit, it had been quite awhile for him as well. A good chance to be roaming in the forest too, the more he had thought about it. Good air, peaceful nature, and that spine tingling sound of fallen leaves and sticks breaking under their feet as they walked. His tender ears picked up on every sound made by them, the crunch of the leaves and nature filling him with calming content.
The calmest he had been, and then it had become his turn. "Ha... Word play." Having his own question shot back towards him, he had taken no time to answer the question himself, sticking to a mutual ounce of truth. "I was thinking on the curiosities I have discovered so far today. The gist of the thoughts at first.. Were more so about trying to figure you out. Your actions are... Unpredictable. Whether i mean that in a good or bad way... I am directly in the middle, leaning towards it in a decently good way. I only wish I knew how to keep up better. You're constantly having me try and reprocess my thoughts. It's unusual... Also unnerving."

If Drac was aware of the professor's bewilderment, she did not show it. Then again, she sincerely had not the slightest clue of the confusion she was causing the poor fellow. So, while walking, she just continued as she normally would until spoken to. Waiting for his response, she would look to their surroundings casually, though still showed ample attention until he replied. It pleased her that her company was not a distraction at least. "Likewise, professor," Drac replied before he would continue. Her expression, when he did, was genuinely surprised to say the least. Never in her life had she ever been called unpredictable, so this was a first for the gentlewoman.

It was not an unpleasant observation though, as she thought more on it. As he said himself, it was good in a way. Then he said it was unusual and unnerving how it made him reprocess his thoughts. Whether that was good or bad, Drac had no clue.
"This is very new territory for me." The woman thought and decided to say as much. "You are the first to call me unpredictable. Whether that is good or bad, I am uncertain but it's not an unpleasant observation as of yet," Drac retorted calmly matter-of-fact.

She would not apologize as she reminded herself that Lysander did not like it when people did something that was in their nature. Instead, the good doctor would calmly point out small purple flowers to the professor's left just 6 feet ahead.
"There's a patch of wild comfrey over there," Ms. Lenz suggested to him, remembering it was also on her list of plants to forage. She would then smile slightly, motioning for him to go first before following after him...

A reaction? Good or bad, Fuyuki was unsure at first. Who knew a woman could have quite the light in their eyes to a term? It had made him amused, a small chuckle erupting from his mouth at the very least. The teacher found it a pleasant response. "I take it she has not been called unpredictable before?" How rare an occasion it was, that he had complimented to begin with. Most forms of socialism disinterested him one way or another. The priceless reaction based on facial alone had his own expectations hurdled. Was this how most women acted to a compliment nowadays? The arising question in his head only rose his own confusion, when she had made such a comment back his way. Calm as she had sounded, Fuyuki was lead to almost backtracking his own state of mind based on the reaction alone. "It was meant to be a good compliment.... but at the same time.. Keeping me on my guard all the time is a bit out of the comfort zone alone." Glancing up, he was clearly talking about her raven by that point. "I do not need your.... Companion... Fluttering down at my head again if I mislead my words. The talons were enough to get a message correctly."
All too true, the bird was on the edge of becoming a snowball still from the earlier bird assault, though birds were always unpredictable. "Never face a woman's wrath." Such a statement had never sunk in so much as it did at that point of time. As it was, the rare occasion of the teacher making any compliments had left his own demeanor feeling awkward. After all, the last time he complimented a woman at all had been towards one other woman alone. "Angel.." Drac reminded him too much of her, with comebacks and words of response always at the ready. A bit scary, if thought about it more. Women could certainly be considered forces to be reckoned with... With all the similarities and unexpectedness they carried. A strange concept, as he had that same issue when he had met with two of his colleagues. The blind one especially had him like his current state. Lost, and unsure how to act or be like. "If only they could be easy to read as grimm or books..."
Sadly he ain't that fortunate.

Drac's change of pace had disturbed the man from his thoughts. Fuyuki hadn't realized he had been spacing out in the first place, making no signs of embarrassment on the matter. Instead, he had snapped back to the sighting of comfrey pointed out by the young woman, snuffing some breath through his nose. A little less than his own height before them. At first he had said nothing, unsure of the plan of motion either had. It hadn't been until Drac had ushered for him to make the first move, had he brought himself first off towards the plant of interest. "They look decently ready for plucking on top of things. His speculation was as calm as water, though he approached with some caution nonetheless. A decent amount of flora was before him, which would hopefully prove to be beneficial for the doctor to take. "Take all the time you need to pick. I'll keep watch."

Drac was assured that it was a compliment to be called unpredictable, so she took it as such, as she had been amused by it. As he looked to the skies, she had frowned in confusion. And it wasn't until he mentioned her companion (Freya, she guessed) that she nodded and understood his concern. "You need not worry about that. So long as you are not a physical threat to either of us Freya will not bother you," Drac replied, hoping to assuage any further fear from the professor on her avian pet. Silence had befallen then until she had spotted something of interest.

She would make note to point out the patch of wild comfrey, so that they might stop. Luckily it worked, and she would walk ahead.
"What a polite man." The woman thought when he said he would keep watch. "Thank you, Professor Lysander," Drac said, genuinely polite before heading to the patch. Once at the outer most perimeter of the comfrey patch, she would kneel and take out the small sickle from her foraging basket to carefully cut, then taking out a strand of string, she would tie the bushel and set it in the basket. Then, she would collect and make a second before moving on to the wild calendula to collect a bushel. Once she was done and her tools put away, she would walk back to the professor. "These two are for you," Ms. Lenz said, holding out a bushel of calendula and a bushel of comfrey to Fuyuki. "I had noticed him searching for some things without much luck, so I hope this helps." The woman thought, though in all fairness this was the first time she would be thinking of this with another person...

There was a terror indeed, and it was a thing that flew in the sky, hiding who knew where. Fuyuki had surely kept his eye open for the bird, it's companion clearly safe and unharmed. Who knew what would ever go through a birds' mind however. They were swift, sneaky, and territorial. There was also the factor they were loyal, and when they were loyal... They could be deadly as all hell. It was the perspective the teacher stuck to, and would perhaps stick to for a very long time. He couldn't trust that raven especially. The young woman accompanying him could keep on trying to reassure him he would be alright, but Fuyuki was too stubborn to just easily agree. "Tch, my mere presence alone had come off as a physical threat. There is no quarrels with... Freya... Long as it remains as safe as you claim it to be. I do not need it to be swooping down, should i ever hand you a herb, and it mistaken me for trying to harm." His voice coming out dry, Fuyuki refrained from anymore comments, only for now, temporarily. Should the raven attack at all would leave a big red question hanging mentally over his head until then. It was that deep paranoia striking his heart, whenever something hostile hit near. A permanent worry that reflexively his his nerves, and his muscles, making them ache. "Bullocks... Going on edge over a damn bird...." He knew he had to stop, before his trauma could steal his mind. He had to keep watch like he promised. Any other distractions had to leave. Her thanks to him had brought a crack of grin, which in turn, had shifted his attitude towards a more.... Keen? Loyal? A bit of both, with a more so... Willing to help aura to him. "It is no trouble. Just keep it easy steps if you are able."

His promise seeped through for the courtesy of the young doctor. While she was seeking around, his attention shifted to the everfall forest itself. Silent. Peaceful. It was enough for his nerves to settle. The cascading hues of red helped soothe him, and with a crisp, ice blue eye at attention, he kept his alertness on high. His ears twitched to every sound he could pick up, most of it residing from Drac's steps, to the small shiftings of flora or fauna being rustled softly. There was some confusion towards some action, such as the sickle cutting, and the tying of the plants, but he stayed silent, taking no action on the matter. "Too quiet of sounds to pick up as a danger." Unsure the true herb she was extracting from the ground for that matter, he kept his solitude behavior to himself, only until she had finished, and began approaching once more. "That was swift doctor." Directing his head to her direction, he was surprised to see what she had in her hands. The calendula was a bit of a mystery to him, however... The comfrey had his tail wagging. "Ah... The comfrey. Are you sure you wish to hand me such an important herb miss?" Seeing as she was being genuinely giving to him, Fuyuki brushed the question away, before clasping a hand over his tail, clenching his teeth in embarrassment. "Blasted thing." For all the stoicness he possessed, it was hard to keep it up, and hide the relief and bits of happiness he could have when his tail acted against his impulse. "Tch...." In embarrassment, the Husky had looked over his shoulder to hide the small amount of pink on his face. He, however, had kept a hand out towards her to take the herbs she offered. "Thank you... Thank you Doctor Cinnabari. I only wish I had something in return for your.. Ahm... Kindness on sharing what you find. I can at most... offer what I have if you have need of any of it. I am but one man, and I do not wish to risk these going to waste if I do not use it all."

Dracaena Cinnabari took the professor's comment about his presence being a threat into logical consideration. "Actually, it's because I hadn't seen you first, and you were sort of hidden from us. After you proved not to be, I'm sure Freya feels a little guilty," Ms. Lenz replied matter-of-factually, before assuring what Freya felt; having known her avian friend hated making mistakes. She would then go on about her foraging while Lysander kept watch for her. "I really am glad I met him. And so, I shall help him as he does the same for me." The woman thought kindly. It had been a while, she thought ironically, since she'd actually made such a connection outside of the few in her close-knit circle of those she called family...it was quite pleasant.

Foraging having been completed and returning with the bushels (her own in her basket already, she would smile lightly up to the professor.
"Yes, I never need a lot," Dracaena retorted on his comment of her swiftness. His second statement puzzled her though but, she merely smiled again, ever-so-slightly. "Consider the comfrey and calendula as a thank you for your company," Ms. Lenz replied, her eyes only temporarily drifting to her companion's tail which he now grasped before returning to his well-formed, healthy facial features and impressive irises before they were swiftly turned from her deep blue gaze.

Casually, she would place both bushels in the hand that was respectfully larger than her own, slightly callused fingertips feather-lightly, though unintentionally, brushing along his palm before she would take her feminine hand back calmly.
"That is a nice offer, although I thought his company is enough." The gentlewoman thought before responding. "Thank you, but, this is more a thank you for enjoyable company. Ah, it seems we are rather close to the waters, let's continue, shall we," She stated, though it was fact, the doctor was kind about it. Drac then listened for Freya's caw. They were close, so she turned and continued to the East where they were headed. The sun was rising on this morning/noon...

A bird? Feeling guilt? Comical. Pointing such a thing was tempting, although it would only bring topics around in circles, and so far, Fuyuki was rather accustomed to it happening, oddly enough. Re tracking on the topic was fun and all, but despite his patience levels... Would she be fine with it? Unsure to be exact, Fuyuki had the thought drift aside, letting his backbiting for once, blow away like the leaves in the woods. "This just teaches me, to next time, be less... Inconspicuous. To avoid trees especially." It had left to more opportune conversation he hadn't expected at all to happen. Guess he, deep down, had to thank the bird for something at least. Despite the over-the-head behaviour, the doctor had acknowledgement. She knew the right amount of knowledge to work with in the woods so far. If only it were easier to say it all with more upbeat energy like others. There was no such thing. Not for him. He wasn't allowed to be upbeat. He was forbidden. "The less one knows... The further one gets.. The safer one will be."

Her kindness made him struggle on such opinion, her smile bringing up an old wound. The smile on her face had brought it up, the carrying of a warm and welcoming tone for his company keeping the struggle. "Damn... Her smile is pretty..."
It was the moment had he looked away, had the man swallowed a gulp of remorse for thinking such a comment. "I don't deserve this kindness... Or such a beautiful smile like sunshine my way." A tough pill to swallow it was. For all of the Tsundere tail wagging and shyness....
He was one step away from a fanged tooth protruding from his mouth, in order to bite his tongue, the fighting anguish pressing on his heart. "Im getting too damn old for this worry..." Stress was cruel. A lingering notion strangling him from the inside. She was reminding him a smile from a past he had in dreams haunting him some nights. This was not them. This was someone before him, in the present, not haunting him. Such a thing had proved to be true, and it was a small gesture that had brought him back, his tail puffing up with surprise.
"Ah..."

Almost jumping, Fuyuki had finally returned his gaze and attention to Drac, a wild look of surprise making it obvious. The gentle touch of her hand had snapped his senses. What was it she wanted to do again? Continue on? Looking about, he had remembered then on his location, rather glad for her soft hand brushing. Clearly an accident, the light tinge of warmth had worked effectively on his attention. "If you wish to say enjoyable... I... Shall make sure I don't spoil it too much." "Cheesy." She spoke honesty, and his response had been too slow for his own comfort. He was a man who made his own mission to accompany a young woman. She was more so a woman who. oddly enough, actually liked him being there. Her words were sincere enough for him to believe it. Drac did not come off as a liar, despite the short time frame of knowing. "If we are nearing the waters, are there any particular sorts you are seeking out to find?" Fuyuki asked, in order to force the topic foward.... Before he could act up in any way again. He was holding them back long enough as it was, dwelling in a past he wanted to crush more than ever. Too irresponsible to be doing so as it was. "Thank you for awakening me once more....."

Cinnabari smiled kindly then from Lysander's earlier retort. Though, had she known his thoughts on her behavior, she honestly wouldn't know what to think or feel without processing it first; luckily she could not read minds, nor did she have the desire to at this time. Or else she might feel undeserving of such things, due to the past. Instead, the focus was on foraging still.

Ignorance was bliss, as some might say, but in truth it could be damn confusing; luckily she was unaware of her effect on the poor professor as she gifted him with the herbs...At least until his gaze, that was oddly bewildered, looked back at her slightly concerned that she might've done something untoward to him; though she couldn't quite place why; though it might've been her touch, but she dared not ask at this time. Instead, she would tell him truthfully that she had enjoyed his company and her observation of getting close to the waters. His comment made her curious though.
"Your company, as far as I'm concerned in this moment, shall always be welcome," Ms. Lenz replied with sincere seriousness before she would lead the way.

As the doctor had promised, they would reach the running river in less than five minutes into the rest of their travels; nothing had caught her attentions along the way as she seemed in thought.
"I honestly thought...I would never come back here," The mature woman thought as she would pause and look back at her canine faunus companion. "If you'd like, I can collect some of the willow bark you can use later for a tea," Dracaena suggested. Whether she meant to or not, she wondered what his knowledge of willow bark was, in the world of holistic/natural healing. "Ah, there you are..." Ms. Lenz would say, as from across the waters, Freya would fly towards them, though at a distance of roughly a meter from above the two foragers. A soft caw in greeting, escaping the avian's dark beak. "Hopefully they play nice." The gentlewoman thought, though she highly doubted it for the moment as she went to collect some of the bark from a nearby willow tree.
