XXXWait. What was she doing? For just a glimpse Maria could see the phantom woman in clear view, but then she slipped into the background again. Impatient and not ready to let the woman escape, Maria began stepping forward in order to charge the torn structure. In the heat of the moment, though, Prism forced Maria to stop in her tracks. "Wait, Lady Maria, look." The machine reasoned, trying to get her to note the black aura that filled the room like a haze. Then a series of gunshots would quite literally explode from the silence, sounding like their own individual explosions. Two black bullets trailing with fire would come erupting from the ruined building and racing right over the head of Prism and Maria. It didn't take either of them more than a moment to realise they weren't the target, but Sassy and Eira was. Following the gunshots, the aura would begin to fade as the armored figure came into view again, slipping through the spires for her own exit. Both 'minds' had a clear choice in mind, which locked Prism's own movements in place.
Maria's teeth would softly grit from inside the machine before angrily signing. "If we let her escape, I'll lose Kenna again. I can't let that happen!" Her words were like venom, being willing to leave the others to fend for themselves if it meant saving Kenna. After all, she's the only one who ever mattered, her and Feralis. Meanwhile, Prism would act as a voice of reason. "We can't throw the lives of others away, Lady Maria, that defeats the entire purpose of the efforts you and Kendall have put forth, does it not!?" That was right. Even though it was only ever about them in their eyes, everything they had done in opposition against that devil of a woman was to stop her from taking anyone else away. If Maria really did turn her back on Sassy and Eira who were even willing to HELP Maria save her, then... What was the point? Hissing in agitation, Maria's own body would illuminate an iridescent sheen before her soul expelled from her body. Her spectral form would slip from Prism, turning to the machine as her true disembodied voice echoed. 'Get to them, I'm going to make sure we don't lose her!" With Maria's body abandoned inside Prism, the spectral girl would made her leave by gliding across the air and leaving Prism behind.
Prism was often one to question Maria's choices, but now wasn't one of those times. In fact, it was rather proud of its master's choices in the moment. Turning on its heel, Prism would break pace in order to reach Sassy and Eira as a series of explosions clamored from the structure next to them. Chunks of flaming debris and beams would come raining down on the students, giving them little time to truly do against it, unless she had another gravity charge in her.Something would then cast a large shadow upon them. A collection of flaming beams ready to crush and burn the students where the kneeled. Just as the portion of the building came down like hellfire, instead only a series of embers would bath the students. There was still a crash, but into something just above them. It was the machine, arms spread wide. Prism now stood over the two students, bracing its own reinforced back against the blazing structure that loomed over them. While the machine was strong, it was clear with the faint trembles that even it had difficulty holding up part of an entire building. "Relocation is advised immediately, Miss Sasselia. Lady Maria has gone on ahead after our phantom. If you are still fit for combat, I wish to request your aid." The inferno of cinders would whine again as the weight of the structure forced Prism down another peg, causing the robot to begin kneeling for the students. Fortunately for Maria, her body was secured within Prism's walls. If Sassy chose to, once she took care of Eira, Prism and her could charge again through the stone spires and into the open street that Maria had followed the phantom.
While Prism was playing hero, Maria had begun gliding along the air in her spectral form. Unrestricted by the laws of reality and her own handicapped body, the woman would slip through the spires as nothing more than a ghost, much like the phantom they were chasing. This lead her to then slip through a wall, following the shade that she kept in sight. Though as she made it to the open road, her iridescent hues would widen in shock at what she saw. "What the hell is this?" She asked in disbelief, all while a series of buzzing would begin to resonate like a jet engine. Oddly enough, unless Sassy and Prism caught up with her, they would not hear such obscurity.
[[MISSION BEGIN: Stage One; Chasing Phantoms An unknown assaliant has kidnapped a student of Beacon Academy. It is up to you to hunt down the kidnapper and corner them. As the escort has instructed, use any means necessary. Just be wary of the public around you. A: The phantom attempted to lose the students in a construction sight, and was mostly succesful at it! Attempting to deteer them, she tried to crush Sassy and Eira with a series of explosive dust rounds. Now though, the phantom's cover has been blown and she has been chased to a clearing where she can no longer hide. Get to her while you still can and put an end to all of this!

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ Sasselia Argenia
TEAM: STWR SEMBLANCE:not activated Profile: Profile Weapon: Gravityflux (Glaive/shotgun/double axes) gaia_angelleft Action: pursuing gaia_angelright ------------ A downed teammate, dangerous terrains, and down to two.. Er... Three, for the count for fighting. Wherever Tessa and Koryn had went, Sasselia could not fathom. For now, she was more concerned for the wellbeing of her teammate, surprisingly having made it into the scaffolding area. It was only thanks to the assistance of Maria and Prism such luck had to happen. Of course, sitting on the side for two long, while the other two would fight was a bad ordeal. The small amount of time she had, she would quickly open up the tiny first aid pouch she had to her hip, rubbing ointment along Eiras forehead, adding peppermint leaves to top before bandaging her head. She could apply the rubbing alcohol afterwards when they were back to safety, using this treatment as a temporary fix. Thank goodness for aura on her part. Her own aura was slowly taking away the sting the bullet had inflicted when it struck, thankful the bullet itself had only skimmed enough to leave damage, while just avoiding being stuck into her foot. One temporarily taken care of.
When about to deal with her own injury, Sasselia had to cut the time short, the smell of smoke in the air bringing alertness to light. Whatever had happened outside, there was something indeed going on above their heads, lowering into the area of cover, and moving to look outside would be completely foolish. At most, she could only hear the a bullet sound firing once more, and added explosive to the firing commencing. The exact location however, and the exact choice of weaponry, she could not comprehend over the sound of her overly beating heart, mixed with the growing anxiety to think straight. The building, poorly built in structure as it was, could easily have fallen upon them should anything become an increase of potential danger. One idea to occur was a chance to get some better lighting from above, to prevent debris falling their way after all. The moment she had tried to activate her semblance upon her glaive however, her chance to overcome the problem had resulted in a backdraft instead. "Angh nggggh!!!!!! Ow........" Her dominant gripping, left hand to shoulder, was hit with a complete shutdown of her nerves. Static inflicted upon the whole area of that part of her body, hand shaking into a complete painful, frozen state, refusing to let to of her glaive. "nnnngh......." Gritting her teeth, Sass could do nothing to stop the ceiling, as indeed, the building began to collapse onto the pair. With no other option, Sass had covered her body over Eiras, choosing to be a shield, and take all the damage of debris. Eyes closed, she braced entirely, keeping the inflicted arm in its original place. There was no moving that as is. With no Maria or Prism, either they were too busy in battle, or something had happened, following that explosion. With the distancing noise barely manageable to be heard from the outer walls, there was chance they had went to chase after the person. Something told her the pair of them were left behind, and she honestly had no blame they left. They offered to help but were failing at this entirely. Perhaps her father was right.... A huntress was merely a pipedream for her after all... 2 concussed teammates in the matter of two months. Bad luck. She was a bad leader in her mind. This collapsing building... She could at least do something for a teammate, like a final farewell of sorts. Down came the pieces. A crash sound louder then she could bare. This was it... This was farewell..... huh!?
Expecting the pain and misery of building, instead of complete darkness, she was received with a shadow looming over their heads. Peeking up with a surprised gasp, there was Prism, robot and all, holding it mighty strength. Thank goodness!!! Something or someone was smiling upon them after all! Prism had no need to tell her twice to relocate. With struggling effort, she had carefully lifted Eira over her shoulder, grasping her friend around the waist in the best comfortable amount of pressure she could manage without losing her to the ground. The sooner she could set Eira down without the blood rushing to her head, the better. This position was bad enough as it was, and "Let us make haste and catch up then sir robot. W-we have a phantom to take down! My... My arm should recover soon... I can still fight. It w-would be a disgrace to every hunter and huntress.... If I could cower to such issue an cave in this quickly to injury!" Trying to move it only sent her nerve paralysis to make her hiss in annoyance. The Argenia backfire curse. The largest weakness in her arsenal, more so then going against long ranged combatting. Her ankle still hurt with the added pressure, but pushing herself was a priority. There was a student in danger. She couldn't turn away now after coming so far. Earlier doubts were being pushed away into a mental lock and key, refocusing on the task. With no further wording, Sasselia pushed herself with full strength, charging herself through the spires. She only hoped the robot could get itself out from under the weight, and keep ahead of her as a companion could. She had faith in Prism, despite knowing nothing about it. They had to catch up to Maria, and stat!!! Ooc:

Schatten And so the guardian against all odds would abandon her vessel under an iridescent veil in order to pursue the phantom who stole away the one dearest to her. What the guardian had not anticipated, though, was the phantom's own alliance to darkness.
Those who followed the phantom would uncover a most unexpected turn of events. Where the phantom had brought devastation to the construction zone in order to lose the pursuing teams, it had not been her alone that committed a series of wicked acts. Whether it was Maria who passed through the walls like a phantom, or Prism and Sasselia who pursued on foot, all those who followed would uncover what could only be described as a tragedy. The streets were in a state of desolation. Concrete shattered, cars flipped buildings on the verge of collapse. There were no signs of life aside from the floating phantom and the student she carried upon her shoulder. The harmonious chorus of buzzing now had a source, as well. It was a swarm of Lancers perched among the ruins or buzzing in the sky above. Though their size was smaller than normal, their numbers could be considered overwhelming as many appear to be flying in and out of view.
Oddly enough, the Lancers appeared completely undisturbed by the Phantom's physical presence, as well as the student on her shoulder. The insectoid grimm continued to either lay idly against the buildings they've pillaged or continued their circuits of 'patrol'. It wasn't until the Phantom flew by the grimm with her scythe in hand, coated with a black aura, had slashed through them that they'd begin to stir. As she slashed, she'd pivot in the air and point her scythe towards the spectral girl floating behind her. "Put an end to this." The woman's tone was mono, stern and demanding. The harmonious buzzing would erupt in fury as their eyes burned bright red. Several smaller Lancers pushed away from their walls and begin to fly in Maria's direction, as well as the direction that Sasselia and Prism would soon emerge from. One had even flown through the intangible phantom. Depending on the next series of actions from the students, the Lancers would attack in a swarm utilizing their vicious claws and harpoon-like stingers. Among them is one Lancer larger than the rest, though comparably normal to a common Lancer. It appears to be waiting for a physical target to launch its harpoon at, in which its smaller brethren will swarm.
[The Lancers will be attacking in various swarms of various sizes. Each tiny lancer requires 10 posts to kill. Their shells are considered brittle compared to their larger counterparts and can shatter with enough force. Their more of an annoyance than anything, but can be overwhelming in numbers. As a swarm, you can only kill so many a post. There is currently no discernable number of them. While you can ignore them, failure to kill at a minimum 1 per post will result in an autohit from the swarm.
Within this swarm, there are three 'small' lancers that take 30 total posts to kill.
Among them is a normal-sized Lancer, taking 85 total posts to kill.
Shadow of a Doubt; Segment B: Ally of Darkness The Phantom appears to have a strong connection with a surprise group of grimm that had appeared. What strikes you oddly is that during your prior engagement, there were no signs of a grimm invasion. But! That doesn't matter now, as the swarm of insects are upon you and ready to rip you to pieces! Defeat the grimm before they can spread to the rest of the city, and stop this phantom once in for all. §§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ Sasselia Argenia
TEAM: STWR SEMBLANCE:not activated Profile: Profile Weapon: Gravityflux (Glaive/shotgun/double axes) gaia_angelleft Action: pursuing gaia_angelright ------------ The construction site... From what had been the impression of hell would prove to be wrong. To see the streets damaged by the likes of grimm somewhere near their area, resonating their sounds, with no signs of life closest to them in the human sense... This left many observational questions. None of these particular questions could be recited within the catacombs of Sasselias' mind for that very moment, her thoughts particularly quivered towards the task at hand. Needless to say, the questions surely were there, as were the options to stop and post haste, try to assess whether the grimm in the area were connected in anyway with the predicament they were concurring with. One thing to conquer was the damage they were causing among the streets itself. It made their path more complicated in a way of dealing with obstacles. Debris with large and small sizes, which could break an ankle at one wrong step. Cars, that at times, Sasselia had to swerve around, at one point climbing over a flipped one. Their perpetrator was quite the opponent. If they had any dealings with the grimm, it was definite props to them for the extra layer of destructive flavor. Something showing persistence to succeed on their own ideals. So much that citizens were hopefully hiding out of danger? Or had everyone been eliminated? It was difficult, and much too soon to tell the real answer s and results.
Suffice to say, their current action of catching up had allowed her nerve paralysis to wear off, giving better handling to her weapon. In order for proper maneuvering through, she had changed Gravity flux into its dual wield axe forms, clutching the axes in both hands. Much more convenient for the time being, instead of scurrying with its glaive form. The run itself would prove in showing how lucky Prism was to be a being of robot proportions. The steps they had taken through the street had brought her heart racing in extra adrenaline, a line of sweat forming upon her forehead. Her heart itself was of no help in terms of noise. Its beatings pulsing to a point it was overtaking her hearing, silent puffs of breath escaping her lips as she was pushing past the verge of pacing oneself. "Just keep going, should be almost there." Repeating these words to herself mentally helped her resolve. They could handle the destructive obstacle close. Catching up would be fine. This would soon turn out to be a larger problem for the duo, then just a simple cavalry sprinting. Expecting the enemy to be ursa or beowulf, Sass was rather surprised by the chorus of buzzing picking up in their. She knew that sound from anywhere, now that they were closer. Lancers. How many? Hard to tell the exact amount. Their sizes, based on the numbers, would prove these particular ones must have been in process of passing their larvae stages. The way they were maneuvering themselves made it clear something had fired them up. The flutters of their wings and familiar sights of their stingers would remind just how deadly they can be. This would soon become definitely apparent by the source of these beasts, the moment they emerged into the area near them. "It w-would appear we have... Arrived at the most opportune of times. I h-hope we haven't been too tardy."
Preparing herself for combat, Sasselia activated her aura. A hue of royal blue surrounded her body from head to toe. After already having contact with an axe in hand, she had then pressed her index finger to her shoulder, activating her semblance. Much like an old move from survival class, taking quick aim at the smaller lancers, Sass threw the axe straight for a cluster nearing her, attempting to take some out. With the axe itself propelling forward, she waited till it passed them, using her semblance to draw and move her axe back to her, attempting a back attack as well. While doing this, she had a hand reached out in front of her at head height level, awaiting a chance to catch the axe.

XXXSasselia's compliance was more than Prism could have ever asked for. If the robot was capable of smiling, it would usher that confidence onto the woman. Instead, the machine would nod in acknowledgment to Sasselia's words. "Your strength is admirable, and determination is alike that of Lady Maria's. I am thankful that it was you accompanying us. Now, move. Post-haste!" The woman had not hesitated at the opportunity provided, and even with whatever injury she had sustained, managed to get not only herself but the unconscious student out of the collapsing structure. Now without the worry of the students meeting an unfortunate demise, Prism was able to act independently as burning beams came crashing down around it. It no longer needed to support the world on its shoulders and would proceed to bulldoze its way through the crashing inferno until a series of embers and smoke exploded out into the surrounding construction site. 'Examining Maria's vitals. Heartrate, accelerated. Breathing, stable. Aura, projected. Proceed to rendezvous with Team Strawberry Leader, Sasselia, and Lady Maria. Objective, Apprehend the Phantom and rescue Kendall." With a series of processes both noting Maria's health stability as well as the endgame goal, Prism was ready to shake off the soot and proceed after Sasselia through the spires. The machine did note how fast Sasselia had moved ahead, though oddly enough it could not see where Eira had been laid to rest. The first and most valiable option was that the unconscious student had been laid to rest under cover, out of site. As the machine pushed further past the spires, it failed to notice a small collection of white feathers that trailed along with the wind.
What was this madness? Maria watched with her own eyes as the Phantom swung her scythe in order to control the grimm, sending the swarm in the direction of the construction site. Had that damned woman truly held so much power that she could control darkness itself?! If this was the case, then her capabilities were far worse than either herself or Kendall could have ever imagined. Only this time, they weren't crying wolf. Others saw it, those of Strawberry, and the leader herself. ... So long as they could get past this, stop the Phantom and rescue Kendall, then for once they would have the upper hand against that witch. Fortunately for Maria, the grimm couldn't touch her in her spectral form. But it wasn't her she was worried about. She was worried about Kenna, and then a familiar voice that chimed in with her entry, drawing her gaze towards a dualwielding Sasselia. 'Prism saved them... Thank god.. We can do this." Maria thought with confidence, but noticed the swarm going crazy with the new arrival. Multiple smaller Lancer's were quick to begin buzzing in fury towards Sasselia. She was quick with her axe, however, reducing one to dust while it flew towards a larger target.
Maria noticed that it wasn't just the small grimm that she caught the attention of. Not just one of the larger Lancers, but two had its vibrant red compound eyes locked on her. One had fired its harpoon, while another readied itself. Without thinking, Maria would fly forward in her spectral form, bringing her iridescent shimmer right in front of its gaze, clearly trying to pull its attention away from Sasselia. It first attempted to slash one of its claws at her before reeling back and firing its own harpoon-like a stinger towards her transparent self, only for it to faze through and embed itself into a withered structure. Several bricks would proceed to fall, pinning the cable like a connection to the ground, leaving the grimm to struggle irritably as it retracted itself closer to the ruined structure. Maria's iridescent hues would look onwards towards the Phantom who seemed to glide back and forth in the air, though its vacant eyes seemed fixed on her own spectral form. If Maria could, she'd grit her teeth with internal conflict. They needed to eliminate as many of these grimm as fast as they could, but she had to pursue the phantom. ... But what could she do without Prism? Floating back, her spectral form would fly along side the reeling grimm, catching its attention and causing it to fly faster towards the building. Once it was only several feet from the building, Maria would plunge her iridescent form into one of the weight-bearing loose bricks. A rainbow of aura would shimmer over it before she caused it to wiggle itself loose, like a poltergeist, knocking itself loose before the wall of stone came crumbling down atop of the grimm. One wouldn't be able to see the grimm beneath the debris, but instead a cloud of black dust.
It was at this time that now Prism would enter the fray. The robot came barreling in as the Lancers started to swarm Sasselia, though its optical sensors detected an odd scene where a building collapsed in on a Lancer. "I suspect that was Lady Maria's doing." Though certain Maria wouldn't hear the machine, it still voiced its observation before it sprinted towards Sasselia's aid. 'There was no grimm invasion alert... Possibility of sabotage, 87%. Current course of action, fend off the grimm while awaiting help. Sending a distress signal, number of casualties unconfirmed." Once again, another series of processes would be run as the machine approached the scene. Upon its arrival to Sasselia, however, one of the smaller Lancers would fire its harpoon at the machine. Fitted with combat experience, however, the machine would pivot to the side before grappling the harpoon and then connecting cable. Prism would then violently jerk the Lancer down, pulling it towards the machine before turning the harpoon in its grip and embedding it through the small Lancer's skull. This exposed the glowing red core before being reduced to dust.
With the attacking Lancer dusted, Prism would continue forward as Sasselia launced her own assault. While the axe would tear through a number of Lancers, there was a larger one that was more experienced than the rest, it would evade the axe that went zipping past it. Ready for any assault, Prism would stand by Sasselia's side, ready to once again utilize its reinforced metal frame to come to her aid.

Schatten At the call of darkness, a swarm of locus would invade the land in a relentless storm. It was up to the spectral guardian, the gravity shifter, and the iron goliath to fend off the forces of darkness and rescue the innocent from the phantom.
The Phantom was no longer the most threatening thing in this mission. The number of insect grimm was becoming increasingly more hazardous with passing moments, tiny versions just barely out of the larval state emerging from ruined buildings. They were quick to recognize a threat, but all appeared to act in some higher arching unit as if something was giving them commands. The Phantom would drift in the air, motioning with her scythe for the Lancers to begin swarming the arriving huntsmen. Quick to act with Sasselia's presence, a number of smaller grimm would fly down towards her, ready to either hack and slash or turn her into a living pincushion. Along with these, she caught the attention of the larger lancers that were quick to ready their harpoon stingers to rip her to shreds. The gravity shifter would launch her assault, throwing one of her dual axes into the air, effortlessly cleaving through two of the smaller lancers. Their carapaces just hadn't hardened enough to protect their feeble bodies, exposing their glowing innards before turning to dust. One of the two larger lancers [30p], however, was more experienced than these flying larva. It would evade around the flying axe before flying down towards Sasselia, reared back so that its abdomen was aimed towards her before firing its harpoon. After all, a still target was the easiest thing to hit. Now that she was half armed, it would be easy to finish her off. What the creature wasn't able to anticipate, however, was a bulldozing machine darting from the buildings. The metal clad warrior was quick to dispose of one of the smaller Lancer's before diving across Sasselia. Its armored arms were raised to meet the harpoon, both striking just right to treat the harpoon as a glancing blow with a bright spark, causing it to ricochet off into the asphalt. Unfortunately for the machine, the jagged edge of the harpoon had left a shallow cut straight through its metal forearm, steel shavings hanging off. Before the Lancer could truly react, Sasselia's semblance took hold and called the axe back to her command, causing it to cleave straight through one of its wings and then the back of its skull. This caused the grimm to fall limp towards the ground but was reduced to dust before it could make contact.
Seeing it as an opportunity, the larger Lancer [30p] that wasn't aimed for readied its stinger. Except, something rainbow caught its gaze. A spectral fighter that hovered far too close to its face. Uncertain of what it was, aside from humanoid, it would lower its stinger and hack at it relentlessly. Oddly, its claws would faze right through Maria's ghostly form. If its claws wouldn't do the trick, then it would pull back and aim true, firing its harpoon directly through the chest of the glowing figure. Only it too would faze through Maria effortlessly, embedding itself into a ruined structure. The impact was powerful, causing a series of bricks and debris to collapse onto its cable, yanking the creature down several feet.
The Lancers were growing more and more agitated by the moment. Two of the larger ones had been dusted in an instant, and a few of the tiny ones were quite literally dropping like flies. Both Sasselia and Prism were capable of fending off the smaller lancers with ease, but that didn't stop a number of those micro bugs from attempting to overtake them with a series of knife sized stingers in rapid succession. Among them, however, was something far more menacing. Another lancer of a larger size [30p] seemed to be buzzing louder than the rest, its inteni flicking before a shadow was cast over them. The largest lancer [85p] of them all came barreling towards the group, its harpoon directly towards Sasselia. It was this one that was meant to be feared, as many of the vehicles had large holes punched clean through them before being vaulted throughout the streets. With its assault, the smaller of the two would dive-bomb towards Sasselia and Prism. It wasn't going to use its harpoon after what happened to its brethern, it would instead use its own claws to either hack them to pieces or pin them down for the large lancer to finish off.

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ Sasselia Argenia
TEAM: STWR SEMBLANCE:not activated Profile: Profile Weapon: Gravityflux (Glaive/shotgun/double axes) gaia_angelleft Action: pursuing gaia_angelright ------------ Strong and dependable she may have seen, Sasselia had only been able to go so far with Eira. Instead of having brought the unconscious teammate along, the blue haired woman had ended up taking a moment of time before catching up to hide her teammate in the rubble after all. Thinking back on the action, it had been the most wisest of choices, though was a sure thought that would haunt Sass until the enemy was defeated. Given in mind through it, at least she would be confiding emotionally to herself in her mind set, remembering personal feelings could endanger one on the field itself. Prism indeed had a wonderful vision range to have taken note of the speed difference. Had it been at a better occasion, and if Sasselia would have actually noticed, the robot would have been received a respectable comment of approval. Robots of the current generation were indeed years beyond their own devices.
Joining into the fray of battle itself had resulted with a relieving supporting time, though the unsuspecting amount of lancers all together would certainly be considered a little bit of a challenge. To see many eyes of the insectoids towards her, she had no choice but to prepare for the worst. There was at least some small comfort of her own axe causing some form of damage, the ever so rotating sharp object of doom succeeding to hit. A possible special attack on her part? Perhaps. Effective and simple, with many more possibilities that can be put into it to make more successful potential strategies. IF only that could have taken care of a few more to reduce the amount to a more stable residual. This was all part of the job, a tiny reminder mentally thought of as her axe had returned into her hand. One down of the smaller types. It was not as if she were truly counting the amount of enemies. The buzzing and repetitive reverating sounds by the lot making it hard to focus somewhat. It was a sure notion that had even proved to be true, by the arriving action of the larger ones ready to strike. Thankfully, by the actions of what may have been Maria's doing, there was feasible hope in order to save Kendall. The trick with the structural unbalance had been a wonderful tactic. She couldn't resist holding back a comment of agreement to the robot stating and confirming the cause. IF there were going to be anymore lancers firing their harpoon stingers, there was going to be no time to try and brace oneself if anymore were to fire right away. She was practically still flinching from almost having been hit, her adrenaline a full time high. Seeing how her ally had handled it only made Sasselia's respect rise for the woman. "V-very agile and cunning, I am honored she is not our enemy... W-we must be sure to think outside th-the box as well for this..."
Sass couldn't allow herself to falter for much longer, switching her axes to shotgun mode to amp up her tempo. In doing this, she was prepared to take further action. If she were to sit idly and wait, they would be completely diminished. Prism was an amazing defense in this matter, but one cannot have their comrade suffer damage all by themself. Maria would surely only be able to be in her spectral form for so long, and with this numerous amount, it didn't take a genius to conclude they had to Firing a few of her rounds towards the tiny lancers, she aimed as true and accurate as she was able. This was to draw them back further from them, her voice rose up in hopes that Prism could hear her over the gunshots. The other hope was for the Phantom enemy to be unable to hear what she wanted to scheme. "Sir Prism, I have an idea, and m-may require your assistance in the matter. Can you please toss me up into the air!? W-we must lure them higher!!! I can go for an aerial maneuver, and u-use my semblance to boost the height more!" If anyone had to be the lure, Sasselia was willing to become it. Switching one shotgun back to axe mode, she prepared herself for an answer, hoping the ally could oblige.

XXXThere was no more time to waste. The sooner that they managed to eliminate the larger threat, the sooner they could get to the phantom and rescue Kenna. Maria knew very well that she couldn't apprehend the phantom on her own, even with Prism at her aid. She needed Sasselia's help, no matter how much she hated not being able to keep her friend safe. So, together they would conquer the grimm once and for all, and put an end to all of this. Her iridescent shimmer of aura would float through the air like a bag in the wind, the spectral form of a small girl coming to their supposed aid. Meanwhile, Prism and Sasselia were at the epicenter of a horrendous swarm of oversized bees, surely someone's worst of nightmares.
Prism had stepped closer to Sasselia, hoping that its larger bulk would pose as a distraction for a number of the Lancer's. After all, aside from the ability to use aura defense, its own steel plating would be much more capable of enduring the onslaught they were about to succumb to. The machine would turn, its own outstretched palm being tossed out to smack one of the larva like lancer's away, in the same instance, it would release a shotgun-like blast from its palm, decimating the small insect. There was only so much the machine could do though, close-quarters combat without any aura to utilize. 'The smaller Lancer's are a distraction... The largest one is aiming its harpoon, I have yet to determine the trajectory, then... The smaller one.. It's coming for us.' Scenario after scenario continued to process, but all of it ended in a mess in the mind of the machine. The two of them didn't have the capability to take on both at once. Then, however, Sasselia came up with a bright idea of her own. Throwing a gravity master into the air? The Lancer's were drawn to movement, and with the trajectory analyzed, it looked as if the largest was aiming for Sasselia. .. It was just crazy enough to work. To have her evade it while drawing it and the others upwards, then they could pick them off at their own leisure. "Understood, Ms. Sasselia, prepare yourself." There wasn't a moment to waste, not with the largest taking aim. Prism wasn't confident in its own durability against such a large Lancer, but even less so of Sasselia's if she were to get hit. The machine would duct down, opening its metallic fingers and resting the back of its hand on the ground. It then ushered Sasselia to step on. "I'll support you from below, Ms. Sasselia. Now, go!" Prism wanted to talk a game plan, but there wasn't enough time. It was ushering her onwards in her own plan, confident in whatever she had in mind. Utilizing its designed might, the machine would chuck the huntress upwards. Just in the nick of time, as well, as the large harpoon raced through the air the moment she left its palm. There would be a loud clang, the sound of metal scraping against metal. Something to note about Lancer's, though, was their ability to pierce the metal hulls of airships when fully grown.
It was the end, or could have been the end, for not only Prism, but the sleeping girl inside him. The largest Lancer was more than capable of shredding its plating like ribbons, aimed directly for its abdomen in order to end both the machine and Maria. Fortunately, though, Maria's iridescent shimmer made it in the nick of time. A rainbow of colors began to shimmer over Prism's body as Maria's soul returned to were it was meant to resign, channeling her aura through the machine once more. The steel based armor, mixed with her own aura defense, made the pair into a mighty tank that couldn't be trifled with. The harpoon ricocheted off of the machine's abdomen, embedding itself into the asphalt instead. "Maria engaging, Sasselia, it's in your hands!" With a series of gestures woven within the machine's husk, Maria's own voice came online once more. Metallic fingers would then grab the tether that connected the grimm to its weapon. From its left hand, a blade would emerge. With one swift motion, Maria would severe the tether between the two, causing the great Lancer to reel back before its gaze shifted upwards, its agitation growing before following Sasselia, as did a number of smaller Lancers. [+38 posts to the large Lancer, bringing it to 38/85. Bring it home, Sassy!] Unlike the rest, though, the medium sized Lancer kept its eyes on Maria and Prism, as they now adorn a vibrant color scheme. Instead of fighting with its harpoon, it would instead use its savage claws to try and rip and shred the duo. Forced on the defensive, Maria used both of her hands to catch the separate legs, though its strength was unnerving, forcing the machine back, keeping her from taking an offensive. 'Crap, I hope Sasselia can handle the big one..."

Schatten And so the gravity shifter had a plan. To take to the skies, to draw the swarm of locust to the sun. Best be wary, young huntress, for you may pay the same price of flying to close to the sun as a young Kid Icarus. Leaving behind the iron golem, the spectral guardian came to its aid in order to save it, and the vessel within.
It was all just a matter of time now. Each passing second, the swarm of lancers grew more savage, ready to rip the duo apart. Even with their skill unmatched thus far, there was only so much they could do against the numbers. Prism had used its own bulk to save itself from the lesser bugs, even using its capabilities to smite those who tried so diligently against it. The beasts had tunnel vision in all of this. Kill those who move, those who have killed. End it, end them, then what of the Phantom? The largest of the Lancer's had successfully taken aim, ready to not only take out Sasselia, but Prism in one heaven piercing shot. It fired its harpoon with enough force to piece steel walls. But, it did not hit flesh nor metal. No, its glowing red eyes immediately followed the gravity shifter as she was tossed to the sky, meanwhile, its own harpoon had been deflected by a shimmer of iridescent aura. Then, in that same instant, its harpoon had been severed, causing the beast to shriek in pain. Its inteni twitched sporadically, its legs moving in a jitter fashion as it attempted to shake off the concept of pain, that something was missing. Far more agitated than before, it would immediately fly towards the now airborne Sasselia. Though it was without its harpoon, it still had metal rending claws that it could easily tear the girl limb by limb from. Many smaller Lancer had followed the larger of the two, but steered clear as it went in for the kill. After all, with such a sporadic flurry of claws, it was likely it wouldn't kill many of its own kind. They were there to finish her off and pick her bones clean, simple as that. All the while, the smaller of the two larger creatures kept its attention focused on Prism and Maria, clearly drawn in by the iridescent hues it now had. IT continued to hack and slash, trying to rip its metal to ribbons, but was held back by the machines own might, even if just barely.
Now though, the Phantom started acting odd. It appeared as if the Lancer just weren't enough to take on the huntsmen, so new precautions had to be taken. How was it going to escape? If it tried to run, surely the girl would abandon her body again to find her. It needed to do something, end it somehow. Perhaps engaging directly was the only option. The Phantom continued to float in the air, but its scythe clicked open, loading another dust infused round, ready to engage with the young huntsmen once more.

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ Sasselia Argenia
TEAM: STWR SEMBLANCE:not activated Profile: Profile Weapon: Gravityflux (Glaive/shotgun/double axes) gaia_angelleft Action: pursuing gaia_angelright ------------ A plan so crazy and desperate, it had a high chance of failure. Sasselia couldn't hold it back no more once the idea was out in the blue, a mere hope one could comply to help. With all the possible danger around them, anything could have been possible. In her body her heart was thumping a mile a minute just on the idea alone, her brain on pure overdrive. These numbers were grand, with that larger lancer the highest danger. Even now, with it's ferocious stinger aiming for her, she couldn't falter in the plan at all. Surely there would have been much better ideas to go by. As it would have seen, Prism had perhaps an idea or two, with no voicing on the matter itself. As if there had been any time for any of them to have that amount of time to form something. That would only be plausible, had the group decided to find a perfect hiding area to avoid damages for a small time length. Even in Sasselia's own mind set, this had been the best, but scariest to offer. Prism had surprisingly complied, having been somewhat fearful there had been room for argument on the matter. Something she would have never blamed him for. It was almost a martyr kind of idea. No second guessing now! No deep breaths could have been had.
The plan to have her semblance make a higher boost to the air had been in her secondary hindset of the plan. The moment the young red-eyed woman had taken foot upon the robots hand, that kind of idea would had no chance to actually try and achieve. Having herself kneel down swiftly, the robot had her up before anything could be said. Upon the release of the toss up, Sass had used her left foot as the dominant asset to push herself higher out of the kneeling position. "What.. What a rush..." Was this how birds felts when taking flight? As if leaving the earth, the surreal rush of air had been a wondering refreshment. Were her comrades alright below? There was no telling, and no looking down. Though the sound of her comrades, and the phantom, had left her range of hearing, there was no mistaking the rising sound of buzzing, angry lancers. "They're on their way after all...." If only she could have continued this free flight of height for much longer, with more sanctuary of peace. An unforgettable experience, if not for the dangers chasing like shadows from below. Up to four stories high had been the limit to their effort, a moment's hanging as the air around her had stopped. Preparing herself with a breath, and a turn to her body, Sasselia had began the descent. Having to hold her breath from the quick rushing of air hitting her face, Sasselia began her counterstrike on the incoming lancers. "Here goes...." Reloading her bullets as quick as she was able, the woman in the sky began firing away at the lancers, a mighty shotgun blast to as many of the smallest lancers as she was able. Keeping her axe weapon back, she was saving it for the real prize.
"Down!! Down you go!! Disappear!!" The ones she had succeeded on hitting, she was forcing not to blink away from the black dust scattering around her. Whether she had missed some or not, it was uncertain to her, and it would have been foolish to look back. The dust was enough to take her view as it was. It stung her with a blinding sandiness, tear ducts working overtime. When the largest of the bunch had come within her sights, Sasselia was ready for them. Switching the shotgun back to axe mode, her blinding eyes narrowed, ready to get rid of the largest pest. There was no missing, for the sake of rescuing Maria's friend!!! Out of her mouth had come a war cry, and ducking her legs close to her, she brought her arms over her head, a flurry of blue hair trailing behind in a messy wildstorm. "Raaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!" Bringing down both axes onto the lancer, she had broken through its body, slicing the lancer in half. This had gone on with a good slice to her own arms, taking damage in the embrace of its arms almost trapping her in their deadly claws. Slicing through the grimm, she was spun by the trajectory, only just managing to on her feet on the ground, with majority of her aura taking the hit. The strength had been with just enough to keep her upright. " Ack!" Everything came back to her, the dust, the descent, and her sense of reality. Coughing and hacking from the loss of breath, her aura almost down for the count. In order to save what was left of it, she sealed it back up for the time being, though it caused her to fall to her knees panting, gritting from the pain in her arms. "Did I... Did I kill it?" Unsure of the truth damage she had caused, she can only hope she really HAD killed the big lancer.

XXXUnfortunately the moment that Sasselia was launched into the air, she was on her own. Both Maria and Prism's longrange capabilities were severely limited, and thus they would hold the ground while she took the fight to the sky. Instead, the duo had their hands full with a Lancer that was relentlessly hacking and slashing at the metal vessel. 'Hold on, Prism, just a little longer!' Maria signed to the machine from within, to which the machine acknowledge by continuing to struggle. Small knicks and dents were forming on the machines armor plating, but it held resilient until Maria finally managed to push the creature away. It was only possible because Maria created a small gap between them, giving her the space to place her own palm against its plated body and unleash a volley of shotgun like bursts from her palm. Each one fired with a series of sparks, but eventually created enough force to detatch the beast. It lost one claw in the process, it being stuck within the shoulder of the robotic vessel. With it detatched, though, Maria reaped the opportunity to produce a blade from their wrist. With one swift blow, the abdomen was severed from the Grimm, leaving the creature to fade away to dust.
With the last of her grimm dispatched, Maria and PRism both look upwards towards Sasselia's efforts. Several smaller Lancers had been turned to dust from the efforts of her shotgun. The most impressive feat, however, was her approach to the great Lancer. She appeared to be a closer quarters fighter, similar to that of the duo. She had to get close and pesronal with the Lancer, to which she would rend the creature thoroughly. It was a messy display, with a mess of black dust and sprinkles of bloodied droplets flying in all directions. Even Maria had been clenching what she could of her teeth, watching as she hoped Sasselia would escape the nasty claws of the beast. It was a narrow escape, but the huntress went spiralling off away from the grimm. They had to act fast! They finished their grimm, the least they could do was help Sasselia with her landing. Though bulky, the machine had been quick in order to outstretch its plated arms in order to meet Sasselia part way. Her aura would damper the impact against the machine, but it wasn't nearly as harmful as hidden the firm ground. At least with the machine, there was a leverage of movement to dampen the blow. Maria heard the uncertainty in what she had done, causing the woman to manage what she could of a smile beneath her robotic suit. "I dunno kid, asked that giant cloud of dust to made. I'm sure it could tell you." Jokes. The jokes were coming back... That meant that she was actually getting along with Sasselia in this battle. Even if it was just for a moment, they were teammates. It wasn't often that Maria came across someone so willing to put aside everything for someone important to her, it meant the world.
"Lady Maria, the Phantom is engaging." Prism sounded a warning to the two, who nearly had a moment of connection. MAria would scowl. AT least, she'd try to. "The hell she is, Prism. We're ending this!" Carefully, the duo moved to set Sasselia down on her feet. They didn't really have time to wait, but while Maria formulated a plan, Prism would ask. "Try you're best to stand. IT's almost over, Sasselia. Thank you for your efforts." The machine appeared grateful. Maria was too, just in her own abrasive Maria way. People didn't see it often, but Maria was honestly just as bad as her former teammates, despite how much her feeble body had changed how she acted. It was just easier on her to be nice sometimes. With Sasselia tended to, the duo would begin. They could see the phantom loading up another barrage with her scythe, but they wouldn't let her strike first. Not when she gave them a load out to work with. "Prism, the stinger. I've got an idea." The severed harpoon had yet to turn to dust, and so Prism would use that to their advantage. Metallic digits would wrap around the rod, hoisting it up as it spun to gain additional momentum. With its hand held high, it would release the harpoon to pierce through the air directly towards the Phantom. "This will never work, Lady Maria." Honestly, it was an effort that seemed pointless. The Phantom had shown time and time again that physical, and even elemental attacks just didn't work on it. So what did Maria have planned this time? All cards on the table, the machine knew it was just best to comply with its master when the time called for it. This was one of those times.
A rainbow of aura ejected from Prism in pursuit of the harpoon, letting Maria's spectral form leave Prism. This was likely the first time that Sasselia would actually see the ghost girl first hand, and it was tailing the harpoon. The Phantom was clearly unamused with these efforts, not so much as attempting to dodge the pitiful attempt. Instead, it simply intended to let it fade to black. The spear had made contact with the woman before a black aura began to envelop it. Just in time, however, Maria's ghostly form caught up to the spear, infusing her aura with it to cause it to brim with radiance. A medley of colors would erupt from the darkness. An act that even surprised the phantom, causing it to lurch backwards in order to escape it. But, it was too late. In her overconfidence, the radiant harpoon had pierced right through her chest. At first, it seemed like it was fading right through. That was, until what sounded like shattering porcelain clamored from the woman that floated above the silent streets. The scythe had slipped from her grasp. Slowly she'd raise her hand, fingers gripping around the rod of the harpoon. Maria wasn't above gloating, either. She wanted this to sting, both in body and soul. 'Only one ghost around here can whisk her off her feet, and let me tell you. She's not much for black." It was following her words that the woman's hand fell, her head falling limp as her group on Kenna loosened. Though she still floated, she seemed entirely unresponsive. PRism was on the move, ready once again to be the one that caught any falling students. Perhaps he should install safety cushions on his person for this very reason.
But, what mattered was... IT was over. Wasn't it?

Schatten - Nevermore Through the efforts of the huntress, Lancers littered the streets no more. Battered, beaten and worn, the huntress had been shaken to their very core. But it was not done, it was not over. For the Phantom had one last word leave its lips, and that was 'Nevermore.'
The Lances had been reduced to nothing but dust. The initial battle over, and the presence of these lancers had been eradicated entirely. It appeared that even allying oneselve with darkness only had so much potential. The damage had been done, surely, but at the hands of two young huntsmen, her plan thwarted. Or so they thought. The young huntsmen were reconnecting after the final Lancer fell, regaining their bearings. Surely they were anticipating the next course of action in order to take on the Phantom. Only, they wouldn't be the ones to engage. The Phantom flew closer to them, glove digits tightly wrapped around the shaft of her scythe. A spectre of shadows, the menace that had derailed their entire afternoon. Now that the huntsmen had been worn down, it appeared that this woman sought to bring them to an end. What it hadn't anticipated, though, was Maria's relentless retaliation. As the Phantom encroached upon them, the severed harpoon of the fallen great Lancer would be thrown in her direction. It appeared to pierce the heavens. A feat that the Phantom would shrug off by intending to make the object intangible as it brushed against her. After all, its semblance was much easier to use when it didn't have to focus on herself, but another object for a moment. .. However, as black aura came to pass over the object, it would erupt in a radiance of rainbows, shocking even the Phantom. Maria had infused herself into the object midthrow, and by placing herself in the object, the two intangible forces collided, becoming tangible within their own realm. The harpoon pierced directly through her torso, piercing the armor just beneath the gem she adorned, a crack similar to that of a vase shattered against the floor erupting from her person. The phantom dropped her scythe, her hand rising to cup around the foreign object that radiated with a medley of colors. 'Only one ghost around here can whisk her off her feet, and let me tell you. She's not much for black." The Phantom choked, pain erupting in her chest as her digits fell loose. Not many could survive a spear to the chest. But then again, who said this one was even alive.
The woman's head had fallen limp, rolling over onto her shoulders. Her grip on Kenna had been slipping, just enough for the cat faunus to slip from her grasp and begin falling. Suddenly, the woman's neck would crack. From beneath the mask, her eyes would illuminate a bright crimson that radiated in the darkness of her sockets. The cape that bellowed behind her would rise, unveiling beautiful wings that were white as snow. Their large and grand gesture was surely a surprise, for during the entire fight they hadn't once shown. They were stunning, elegant, and beautiful in every way. But rapidly, the feathers from the base would darken. One by one the feathers would rapidly change color, fading from a bright ivory to the darkest shades of ebony. With each darkened feather, her wings would grow. Her spine would contort, her arms shifting and molding back into her growing wings. The process looked absolutely agonizing, watching her skin and bones shift as her limbs themselves began to contort and transform. A second pair of glowing crimson eyes would appear on her person, the mask shattering as a blackened beak protruded from her face. Mighty talons would reach and wrap tightly around the unconscious girl before she could fall close enough from Prism to catch her. Now, what was once a Phantom, now beared a striking resemblence to a Nevermore, and retaliated with a screech to match its fearsome appearance. Their fight was far from over, but now there were far more questions than answers as the creature flew high above them. It did look surprisingly smaller than the same Nevermore that Rachel had brought to the academy. In its chest, the harpoon was still clearly visible.

Shadow of a Doubt; Segment C: Phantom Nevermore The grimm had been disposed of thanks to Sasselia's cunning idea. In a last ditch effort to end the conflict, Maria and Prism skewered the Phantom before it could unleash another assault on the beaten huntsmen. Unfortunately for them, she had one last trick up her sleeve. Through some unknown means that defy what the students have learned, the Phantom had become every hunters worst nightmare. A Nevermore. Put an end to this once and for all, before you too are consumed by darkness. Posts: 7

Profile: ProfileWeapon: Gravityflux (Glaive/shotgun/double axes) gaia_angelleft Action: pursuing gaia_angelright ~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~ What was expected to be the cold hard pavement in the end of her descent, had become a fortunate fortitude of teamwork. From hard, strong, and impenetrable earth, to the battle ready platform that was the robots catch. Only with the reality around her returning, it had occurred to her mindset her pavement hitting had been a relapse to her mentality from the fall itself. All of it wavered, between the question she could hear coming from her mouth. With Maria and Prism before her, she ended up a lot safer in regards to her aura than she would have thought. "Th-thank you." Among her question, the familiar voice of Maria had spoken through Prism, its tone muffled emanating from the robot itself. "Ah... She must have returned... Into her form." That much had made sense. There was no other possibility she could conclude. For one millisecond of time, the response itself had her razzled. That was.... Until her head craned to look above, only to have been met with the falling remains of dust cascading back towards the earth. How she wanted to celebrate this moment, for the most part making a relieved smile back towards them, eyes clearly gleaming in hope for them to succeed. Her own attempt to joke, she grew bashful. "G-guess this brings a... New meaning to an a-ash fallen day?"There would have been a continuation to tag with hit, but now that the grimm were second to none in existence, it was clear there was a more important target still on the rim of victory. The phantom woman. How Sasselia had wished they could have kept the jokes, but there was a more important life at stake. Pleasantries could wait till afterwards. Prism's own warning had made it clear the phantom was on the move.
Having been set down, Sass knew she had to prepare for the next turn of events before them. A difficult scape, but she was able to cope for the most part, a soft inhale of breath taken in. "Inhale..... Exhale..... Pwoooh...." "I-I can make it through to help!" Keeping a brave face, it was the most she could do to steel the shaking nerves in her knees. Her arms stung fierce like wildfire by the lancers undoing of its claws, but she was prepared to push herself more and deal with the damage later on. Standing still would do nothing to help, only allowing the weight of her body to slowly succumb to it's staggering after effects. Once she even knew she was ready as they were, Sasselia began combining the shotgun and axe back to glaive mode, making Gravityflux ready to guide her to victory. "Guide me like you had once guided my mother." There was the Phantom, readying another trick of their own before them, Sass's eyes keeping her target in her sights. Being too far, there was a calculating process they could try, but Maria had her wonderful brace of action to take fold of first. The stinger!? An interesting idea, but given how the Phantom had been rehearsing and arranging themself the whole fight so far, it sounded too far-fetched. Prism too, had spoken their own doubts about it. About face it fired, and she had somewhat expected it to completely end in shambles. From the short knowings of one another, and the risks taken, Sass knew whatever Maria had in mind, the woman could certainly get her goal to work. "H-however you wish for this to work M-Miss Maria, I hope you have... Something sneaky u-up your sleeve." Sneaky indeed. From a normal stinger, to a tailing array of various colors, the harpoon was making itself headway to the phantom. What had truly surprised Sasselia the most, had been the clear view of seeing Marias' spectral form, bringing its form before her from inside Prism. A dance of lights within the form of a woman. Haunting, graceful, radiant, and the attempt had struck true. Shattering glass-related sounds making the silence almost deafened to it's crash. What exactly was hit!?
To see the enemy hit before they could dodge, had left that swelling bubble of relief hit. She of course, knew better than to get too comfortable. A difficulty, considering the light show making itself known from the crevice of the Phantom's own darkness. An unforgettable sight if she ever saw one. With what had come off as the Phantom fully defeated, she made haste alongside Prism towards Maria's spectral form and Kenna, ready to help if need be with her first aid kit she had in her inventory. But of course, the phantom would not accept their defeat without a fight. They may have had Kenna free of their clutches, but what was happening in front of her, Sasselia could not believe it. "A-a nevermore!?" It was happening, and the transformation was something out of a nightmare. There was the creature, making it's way known from the darkness of the previous enemy. Beautiful wings, dark as midnight. Eyes of emptying despair, crimson as the blood within ones veins. There was no possible willpower to avoid watching the feathers changing to ebony, the beautiful, but terrifying sight larger than life. It would appear to not be the worst of the case for them. "Oh no!" Trying to reach herself out for Kenna just as Prism had, the nevermore got to her first. Almost freed Kendal had been, only to be entrapped by more danger. Sasselia couldn't reach either, having to cover her ears from the nevermores screech. "Agggh...." Drumming, beating, overtaking hearing. It hurt and made her ears ring fierce. With a wince, and toppling back from the wind picked up by the take off, the nevermore was airborne, herself standing up with the help of her glade to balance. "How a-are we going to take her d-down?" Sighting the harpoon as almost a tiny stick protruding from the bird, the sight difference had been somewhat clear. "This... Th-this bird..." The thinking cap in her mind had began ticking away, eyes scanning the area for anything of remote use. They had to anchor it down lower for them to reach somehow!

XXXIt was just like when she struck down that woman, that witch. This body was nothing more than a vessel, ready to break under the sheer will of another. Maria's will was stronger than the Phantom's. Her will and desire to keep Kendall safe would triumph even over that witch's own wishes. At least, that's what she had thought. Just like that day when she watched the lifeless vessel shatter into a thousand pieces, a force of opposition made itself clear. This was far from over. In fact, it may have only been just the beginning. Not only had this Phantom allied itself with the forces of darkness, it had BECOME a force of darkness. Maria could feel it, the vessel breaking and contorting as ivory wings were overcome with darkness. Limbs had contorted grotesquely, warping beyond belief to turn into something straight out of a nightmare. Maria got to experience it all first hand, her own vessel being trapped at the epicenter of this creature. The Nevermore was larger than anything they had yet to face, the stringer she embodied barely visible in a sea of darkness. 'We can't lose... Not like this.." Maria thought, though was still unwilling to leave the stringer. There had to be something she could do here, there had to be a purpose for it all. Utillizing her influence of aura, she tried to push herself deeper into the grimm, causing it to shriek in pain, but it wasn't enough. It was still capable of flight, still capable of fighting. She couldn't do much here, but she also was at a disadvantage on the ground with Prism. Aerial opponents were her greatest weakness, she always needed to close the space. But how...? .. She had a bit of an idea, but it could only do so much. The harpoon was still connected by a black tether, severed from the largest Lancer. It wasn't long enough to read the ground, however, so the black cable dangled in the air freely, illuminated by her own rainbow of aura. Maybe.. If she could bring their attention to it, they could do something. Intensifying her focus, the rainbow illuminated tether would begin to flail more rapidly in the air, acting like a toy to tease a cat. If they could grab it, they could use her aura enhancement to keep it bound... Then they could unleash an assault.
Prism was appalled. Being so close to the formation of the Nevermore, at ground zero of the screech, the robot immediately braced its skull with its hands in an attempt to tune out the sound. Not for itself, of course, but for Yui who was asleep inside. It wouldn't do the feeble girl any good if her eardrums had ruptured from such a creature. Though the machine was worried. Despite Maria being asleep due to her semblance, she could feel her heart rate increasing. All this activity, all this use of her semblance, it was starting to become too taxing. They had to end it, and soon. "This doesn't make sense. Humans are incapable of converting to grimm, so... How is this possible?" The machine questioned verbally, clearly baffled by the set of circumstances. It was already hard enough to comprehend how someone could command the forces of grimm so directly, but to BECOME one. There had to be more to this, something that they weren't seeing. ... But, they didn't have time for that. They needed a battle tactic. Currently, they were at a disadvantage. Nevermore's ruled the sky, Prism was a close-quarters fighter and presently had no aura, and Sasselia was barely hanging on. They had to end this, and quickly, but how could they ground such a beast? ... That's when Prism saw it. The presence of rainbows coating a long, black cord. It was a clean-cut when it separated the stinger, but that left part of its natural tether. Perhaps they could use that? Then, Sasselia... The bits of her semblance she saw, it appeared to have a similar effect to gravity dust. Perhaps with some of that at her disposal. "Sasselia, Maria is giving us a sign. We need to ground this beast immediately, and I need you to do it." The machine spoke, popping open one of its gauntlet chambers. Within it was a series of dust crystals. Most of them were red and yellow, but there was a purple among them. Ejecting the dust, the machine held the purple gem out towards her. "I've watched you increase your height and guide your axe. Do you think to utilize dust can increase that capability? To bring the Nevermore closer? If we bring it down, I can grab the tether, potentially leading us to victory. .. Potentially.. " The machine paused, knowing fully well it was expecting more than he should out of the student. Someone who was already battered and beaten after taking down so many Lancers, now it was requesting that she grounded a Nevermore, one of the most feared grimm. "I would try, but without Maria, I cannot harness the aura to utilize this. But I do not believe her or I have the capability to execute that scenario." There was only so much dust could do. Without a proper semblance in accordance, it was harder to expect such a great feat to be accomplished. If Sasselia couldn't do it, though, then they'd have to try something else. .. Perhaps if Prism threw her again....

Schatten - Nevermore Things were different now. There wasn't a need to heed caution, there wasn't a necessity to be careful. The Phantom had fallen, and called upon an ally of darkness. She had turned her back on whatever humanity she had left, and become a predator of the sky. All she needed to do now was end this. A swift execution, then soar skyward. Even if what she was about to do didn't kill the students, it wouldn't be possible for the students to follow her. She had the girl, she had the power, she had victory in her grasp. Soaring above the students, the nevermore's crimson eyes would gaze down upon the girl and machine. It wasn't sure what happened to the spectral girl, but it didn't matter. Not if she eliminated the machine. A rumble carried deep within its chest as the beast circulated. With one mighty flap of its wings, it sent a series of razor-tipped feathers in a lethal shower upon the two. The tips would embed themselves into concrete and asphalt, but ricochet off metal. If they wished to survive, they best heed cover under something nearby, unless they could take it out of the sky before it was above them once more. If it had been successful, though, it wouldn't waste anymore time. IT was smarter, it wasn't going to throw itself away. It was ready to flap its mighty wings and take to the sky, to leave them behind. This was their last chance.
[Phantom's Level: ?.?? No level requirement to engage or damage. Act if you choose.
Posts: 8
