The spin was elegant and sturdy, her footing well done to keep her syeady. But kicks had a danger to them. It took the hit to the chest and wrapped its massive arms about them, claws digging in as it started to spin as well and then with enough momentum, went to throw her against the nearest Rift crystal cluster.
"If I was serious, I'd eat your starseed." It growled.

Nubi kept her mouth shut. The truth was she would die for her brother and she knew he would do the same. Instead she just focused on the fight, her expression went a little darker. It was hard to smile when you were wincing through a burning pain in your arm.
She tried to pull herself free, but it was awkward to keep her footing. And then Vit started to spin, at first she attempted to use the bit of moment it gave her to wank herself free one last time. But that was all it took to though her off when the claws dug in more. She was very swiftly reminded of the tournament, when her opponent through her across the ring.
The only difference was Vit was smaller, so even though he did toss her away she slide on the ground before smacking into the cluster of crystals. At least she was smart enough to not try to catch herself with her arms. The last she needed was to break them.
She was dazed for a moment and heard Vitie talk but decided to ignore it. She needed to get up. Like hell she'd go down without much of a fight again.
If she wasn't such a good sport, she might try going to his eyes about now. But, despite his sudden rage he was still being careful with her face. As she worked her way to her feet she noticed her crash and broken a piece of the crystal off, It wasn't much, but it could keep him away for a bit longer.
She spun in it her hands a couple times, it was sharp and it seemed only fair considering he had massive claws.
"I'm not done yet Pups." She held onto the crystal and kept her back to the cluster, this way he wouldn't be able to jump behind her again. He needed to be just a bit closer if she wanted to use her magic again. It was the only advantage she had. At least she looked rightfully pissed off now. To have the same used move used on her that had done her in during the tournament was a very sobering experience.

It watched her skid away but stopped herself before impact. Good recovery, but it wasn't here to praise her all just yet. That could be for later. Right now, it was too invested in seeing her on the ground and either surrendering or knocked out.
"Good. I don't want to get bored too early." He mentioned back as it watched her spin a shard of crystal.
Weapon. Using the environment. Senshi didn't have summonable weapons so using anything around you as one was a smart move for the magic-welding corrupt.
Back to a stone didn't leave him with the ability to go behind her which meant a direct attack would be best to try and pull her away from that stone. Moving closer, he reached down and raked his claws against the ground and threw up the pebbles and dirt up at her before moving in behind it to punch at her chest.

Nubi held her position, because it was the only defendable position she had. It meant she would have time to react to whatever he came at her with. What really pissed her off, was the dirt he threw into the air. Her glasses, which she was amazed were even still on her head, could protect her from some of it But not the dirt that hung in the air afterwards, she had to squint her eyes. It couldn't have been pleasant for Vit either, right.
It limited her vision, and didn't give her a chance to use her magic, but it was enough for her to see the giant purple paw break through the cloud toward her. She brought up her left arm to block the punch, though the momentum did push her back and still stung a bit. Then her right hand came up with the shard to stab into his paw.
At this point she was exhausted, but she wasn't going to surrender. After all, there would be no surrendering on the battlefield.

The dust did sting but it had already marked where Nubi was and with a stone behind her, she couldn't jump back. If she rolled then the fight would just continue, but Nubi instead held her ground. Once she blocked, the sharp dagger pain of the torn Rift crystal sank into its hand and her swore a gritting "********!" When it came though. Just because it was expected didn't mean it didn't hurt any less.
But it still had one other hand and with it swung up into her gut.

Maybe she should feel bad for stabbing her friend, but she really didn't. He had done worse to her in this fight. It's not like she expected to knock him out or anything, he had way more experience than her. Even if they were at the level now, experience still trumped inexperience. Still, she couldn't help the little smile that came to her face as he cursed. That had been satisfying.
She had lost her focus though and was trying to look for an opportunity to use her magic again. But Vit was quick to retaliate and the punch that landed squarely in her gut caused the air to escape with a gasp. Her vision started to fade and she lost her footing. She hadn't really expected to lose consciousness, but she did as she fell toward the ground.

It grabbed her as she fell.forward and slowly lowered her down to rest fly in the ground beside the stone. Taking off it's coat, it bundled it up and laid it under her head..
Then, with a grunt, it jerked out the spear from its arm. Black blood oozed out and it took off its shirt to wrap it about its hand tightly.
"No one would be using a weapon of she did that." It said to itself as it settled to sit beside her and wait for her to come to.

Nubi wasn’t sure how long she was out for, it didn’t feel like it had been a large amount of time. But there wasn’t really any way for her to know. The first thing she did was groan at the pain in the right side of her body. It was no wonder she had passed out, her body had needed a moment to sort itself out. A moment to get her breathing back to normal.
When her eyes finally opened she was greeted by the dimness of negaspace and Vit’s shirtless form next to her. She took a deep breath, wincing a bit at the pain still present against her diaphragm, from the punch that had done her in.
”If I learned anything today, it’s to not piss you off.” She could feel her head resting on something soft. It must have been his coat, since she could see it discard anywhere around her. Not that she had the energy or desire to get up right now.
”I hope i impressed you at least a little bit. Sorry I stabbed you...”

It perked up when it noticed her still back to life.
"It's okay to piss me off if you want a more serious fight. You raised the stakes. I just rose up with them. Breathing okay?"
It asked as it sat beside her. Reaching out, it took the very tips of its claws from its uninjured hand and brushed some hair from her brow.
"You did well. You used the environment and tried to keep me from using the same attacks as before. You adapted. You improvised. You went to keep me from attacking by attacking my arm. These are all good tactics to help you win."

Nubi did want a serious fight, though she didn't really plan on passing out because of it. Still, it felt like she learned a lot. If she had taken the tournament a little more seriously, she could have fared better. Maybe it was the woman's size that had intimated her, making it hard for her to make split second decisions during their battle.
"Breathing as well as I can really." It was getting a little easier as she adjusted to the pain. "How's your arm doing?" She didn't bother about asking about his face. She had avoided his eyes like he asked, but she was still happy that she had made the score even between them in regards to her brother.
"Well, I feel like at least I learned a lot from you. And thanks for that. It was actually pretty fun until I lost conscious." It was true, it was fun. Nubi had always had a weird idea of fun though, she wasn't ever like most kids her own age.

It rose up its arm and the black blood that stain the fabric. "Nothing stitches won't fix. At least it didn't go all the way through." It said with a breath as it easier it gently down upon its lap.
"It was fun to have someone get into it. I love sard when things get really intense. But I also loose myself a bit. But I'm curious. Your magic stuns people? Why didn't you go for my starseed and just win the fight? I was pretty close."

It was good he was being such a good sport about it all. Nubi would definitely have to ask to train with him again, he was probably one of the few people that would go all out with her and they both have a good time and laugh about it after. Carefully she moved to sit her up, wincing a bit at the pain, but making it happen anyway. She did turn around to rest her back against the rift crystal though.
"I'll admit it was fun going all out." When he asked why she didn't take his starseed she paused for a moment. Honestly, she hadn't really considered it. Taking a starseed was a pretty big deal and as much as she wanted a serious spar with Vitie, she hadn't wanted it to go that far.
"My magic is like a poison. Different people react to it differently. Some stumbling, disorientation, or fainting. It requires eye contact though. I planned on using it again when you got close, but then you went and threw dirt in my face." Until today, she thought her magic was fairly powerful and hard to dodge or mess with. But, Vit was smart and came up with a counter she hadn't considers.
"As for not taking your starseed. I didn't consider it. Though, I would have had you been a real enemy. I guess, versus someone in a real fight it's just that. A fight. A means to an end. My duty as a part of the Negaverse. But as someone who is on the same side...doesn't it seem a little personal? To just reach in and touch your starseed? It's like your soul afterall."

"It is. It is your entire existence. Now and the future. Bit some officers have held starseeds to punish others. And if you want practice, reaching at an opportune time and at least touching one could get you familiar with the action. Make it familiar. It also tells me I was stupid enough to leave my vitals exposed for you to do that. I know other officers might not like it, but they made the mistake to let it happen in a fight "
It moved closer and turned to her. "Have you pulled one before? Would you want to know how feeling one feels like? If so, I trust you to touch mine."

The thought of someone taking her starseed as punishment had her shudder. Not so much for herself, but the though of her brother getting in trouble for one reason or another. She knew the Negaverse didn't have room for those weak to their cause and because of that Mali could end up in a very serious situation at one point. He always talked about protecting her, but she would do anything to keep that from happening. She would make it to the top, if it was the only way Mali could live a peaceful life in their world. She would be whatever the Negaverse wanted of her, she would be a monster.
"I have taken a stareseed before...." She had not told this to anyone before, not even her twin. That night Periclase and herself had taken the starseed of a White Moon senshi. "I....returned it though. Not because I was upset by what I had done or it made me feel like a bad person though." The last thing she wanted was to get Peri in trouble tough. Peri was a very precious person to her. And like Mali, she didn't want to get her into any trouble either. Unfortunately since Peri was her main patrol partner though, she had yet to claim a starseed that she could hold on to. Her partner was still very traumatized by losing her own twin to a youma. She was just another person Nubi was trying to keep close so they didn't slip from her grasp completely. Vit was really the only friend she had in the Negaverse who took things as seriously as she did.
"I would be lying though if I wasn' curious if your's was any different though. As a half-youma. As a friend. That sort of thing."

"Then maybe tell me if it does feel any different. I wouldn't know. As far as I can tell, the Queen only gave me more chaos to be this way, but even I wonder if the core of who I am has changed."
It took her hand lightly in its claws and pressed it against its bare chest. There, a steady heartbeat drummed against her palm.
"Push in and feel. I trust you." It said and waited.
