Capt. ChrysopraseChrysie learned, as time went on, that watching fights wasn't really her thing. Most of the time she just winced, and made a little groan sound in the back of her throat, when somebody got hit. It didn't even have to be Agrellite who got hit, either. Even the other girl with the black lipstick prompted that same kind of reaction when she took a punch or a kick.
And she thought she got why these sorts of tournaments were a good thing? Like, it let other officers strut their stuff, and people got prizes for it (she thought) and whatever. And it made most of them look good. And sometimes people deserved a punch to the face, like she wasn't gonna lie there. But Chrysie was used to spectating things a little less violent. Like cheering on a local football team, or a basketball match. Things like that. Watching people punch each other and cheering for a victor? It wasn't really the violence that got to her, but more like… They were both on the same side, and it seemed like she was alienating Tyrellite by cheering for Agrellite when really she should cheer for both of them.
But that seemed kinda dumb, too. Agrellite was competing and all. Oh well, she didn't really have to think about it. Just getting this far made her head spin.
So even when the match ended, and Agrellite lost, Chrysie still stood up to clap for them both. She whistled, shook around her kidnapped youma friends, and jumped up and down a bit. Then she just tossed the two squeaky youma onto her seat and departed for the ring itself.
"You looked great out there!" She offered a wide smile to Agrellite as she approached. "I was super impressed! You like, stuck it out to the wire!" No ifs, ands or buts — Agrellite was getting a hug. A gentle hug, cuz getting squeezed after a fight totally hurt.
But now that she was a captain, she could offer more than just condolences. "Come on, I'll take you home. I can do that now, you know?" She wrapped a hand — gingerly! — around her friend's shoulders. And after shutting her eyes and squinching up her face, she remembered enough of her own dorm room to take them back home.
