"C'mon, Fen!" She chirped, ears straight up and a twinkle to her eyes as she watched the smaller shewolf. And Fen did try again, but Evie's bigger stride seemed too much.
And then her friend didn't want to play anymore.
For a small moment, Evie waited. Would Fen try and trick her again? That last trick had been so good that the chocolate wolf wouldn't have been surprised. But, while she was having fun, she was beginning to tire from all the racing around. And Fen seemed to be almost as out of breath as she was feeling.
But the chocolate wolf was full of good humor and didn't pout or let this declaration of not wanting to play end her good mood. Oh no. Instead, Evie pranced back towards her friend. When she was close enough to Fen Mire, she playfully lowered her front half, wagging tail end still up in the air.
"Awe, I'm sorry, Fen! I may have gotten too carried away. But I'm glad you played with me! Should we take a rest? Maybe go try and hunt a snack? Or we could go find the river, cool off by it's side and catch our breath?!" She was willing to do whatever her friend wanted, so long as they got to hang out a little bit more.
"What would you like to do, Fen?!"
