Ascendant General Alkaid

It had been a very long time since Alkaid had come to intermingle with those who, by all rights, should have been her peers. Part of it was that she was simply bad with time - and part of it was that she very often just did not care. What were human machinations in a weary war?

This was different, though.

Having spent the majority of her last several years either in the rift or on her eerily similar planet, Alkaid had found it the most comforting of places as one who no longer ate nor slept nor breathed. Yet, she had not done much association with these youma, certainly not more than infiltrating the places wild ones safe guarded to steal away the treasures that had marked her successes in recent years - the tower that she had discovered and the tall, weak woman at her back that she could feel curling fingers into one side of her cape. That same woman reminded her how much of herself she could find in them; it was for her that they were here.

Alkaid could not have said what Tanzanite would take away from this but as she stared down at the cracked cup meant to symbolize these creatures, cradled in her equally broken fingers, the parallels felt too close to home.

We left our lives behind to fight this war for her.

But how many of them would make the same choice again if they knew?

Her fingers tightened on the cup and her eyes rose to find the young man, General Faustite, where he stood still on the stage. The only indication that she was about to speak came in the rise of her chin, for she did not move forward from where she stood at the back with her blessedly silent charge. When it broke, her voice rang clear and true despite the distance.

"What does your faith mean, then, General? Do you believe that we can end this war and purge her of the curse, and yourselves?"

It was not constructive, she knew, but it was an answer she had never stopped looking for. What, in the end, did anyone believe this was for? After watching Tanzanite tumble from a crystal tomb, even she did not know what goals she contributed to any longer, only that she did, and would continue to do so.

Corrupt Zubeneschamali

Had he allowed himself the choice, 'Mali would have been very likely to not come to this seminar. His feelings, outlook on youma, and his place in the Negaverse among all these non-senshi beings were not very positive. It never seemed to feel like he quite belonged here. Not due to anything feeling 'too intense', or cruel, but because of just what he was, a senshi at a seminar about youma who he could never use as a 'tool' like it seemed some of these people wanted them to believe.

Alas, he was never given many choices in life thus far. The moment 'Nubi told him she was going, his hands were tied, and he found himself in the back of the area by her side, looking around and recognizing no one. Atleast the notice he received had a list of speakers, and there was one name he recognized (two, but had no cares for the other) that brought a small smile to his face. Perhaps this wouldn't be so very bad at all...

And yet he was wrong.

Yes, he knew he could be a snob sometimes, and yes, he knew he, himself, could dragon and on, and try to sound far smarter than he actually was in an attempt to impress a person, but this seminar was downright pretentious.

Every word he listened half made him roll his eyes, if only due to the tone each speaker carried. Speaking down, talking about things he couldn't hope to control due to him being a senshi. Were it not for the fact that some of the speakers were Youma themselves, Mali would have imagined it was a load of s**t being spewed from their mouths. How much of this was actual facts, written in their dossiers? How much of this was assumed facts that there was no actual research behind? How much of this even mattered to a Senshi like himself?

Then again, it wasn't their fault for Mali's own thoughts of the matter. After all, anyone who didn't desire to be there would likely feel the same way, made even worse by the bitterness that came with the thought that bonds made like those spoken about were to never be used by the corrupts like himself. After all, they spoke already of "standing against the senshi", as if all could be grouped together as enemies.

How disgusting.

Of course he did find a bit of interest here and there, especially when he sat up to see a familiar face, Vivre, speaking out loud... Though it was a shame his words were so few compared to some of the other prattling voices that continued on and on. Another conversation that caught his attention as well was the thought of purification, the idea of bringing someone back from the point of Youmafication to be wholly human again.

... It wasn't a bad idea, being able to be human again... Being able to properly intertwine his fingers with a certain Lieutenant... It would be one hell of a decision to do so, however. Nothing that could be brought up, not when they weren't even close. Not when the halfling was happy where he was.

Finally, when it was all over, and people began to either ask the speakers their questions or slowly filter out of the room, Mali stood, giving a small stretch.

"Well... That was certainly... something." He kept his voice low, gaze turned to his twin. No matter how many 'thoughts' he had about the seminar, none of them would be said aloud while still here. Who knew who was listening, or worse, who would be hot headed and lash out at him for having an opinion that was anything but the utmost respect and fascination?

"Vivre was on stage... Do you think he might have time for a chat before we head out? I wouldn't mind giving him a praise for what he said... I'm biased, but seeing him here was certainly one of the more interesting things about coming to this place."

His Mistress' erstwhile protégé had a seminar on youma that was meant to be satellite triangulated and encryption-fed to their troops in Witzend via Mauvian technology and good old fashioned Negaverse ingenuity. Naturally, this meant that Tiberius had inserted his fluffy self into the works by offering to handle the Mau-side of things - after all, Smokestack was his brother, wasn't he?

He hadn't realized just how fortuitous this would be until the actual youminar was underway and Squiddy put to usher duties. "Whoo, awful." Tiberius chuckled from the safety of his perch in the small tech booth, built by the Finn to keep all the delicate bits protected from any accidental discharges of magic or otherwise. Tiberius had requested it built and the corrupt had acquiesced without complaint where he once would have snarled. Fascinating.

Tibs made sure all the lighting cues and shifts happened when - and where - they should, doing his job as Lord High Techno Puff with vim and vigor. And when he wasn't needed or didn't have his nose buried in his tablet, he could pop his head over the edge to watch and listen. Mauvians were excellent with multitasking - or this one was. He caught a whiff of All-One and wine, ears perking at Quartz when his favorite dorito went in with the questions, then some gal that smelled of broken and leaking Chaos magic did the same. Alkaid. The first of the ascended generals. Huh, who's that with her? She smelled...weird, but maybe that was just due to the distance?

If he weren't Doing a Job, he'd go over. Wait, maybe...he could do the thing. Everything was on auto for the QnA session, he could definitely could go visit the ladies. Well, the one that wasn't directing questions at Faustite, anyway. Tiberius arched his back and pressed himself against Tanzanite's legs like the dog-sized cat he was; decorum be damned. "Hello there~. Tiberius, at your service."

General Pyrophanite

Pyrophanite was mostly there because he had heard there was half youma shennagins and well, HE was a half youma.

"OI FAUSTITE." The general waved his hands after the seminar finished because he mostly didn't pay attention. After all, he was Pyrophanite.

"The like chick with the pipe, super eloquent with explaining how awesome we are." He gave thumbs up. "Could use some more flair though."

Eternal Sailor Kamacite

Kamacite sat in a chair near the back, the long silken sleeves of his robes pulled up to his chest for warmth. No matter how many layers he wore, he could never shake the chill of Negaspace.

A seminar on youma. He knew there were many who didn’t have much experience with youma, but since his General was part one, well. He’d had first hand experience from the very start. Self-consciously he unwound one of his hands from his robes to place over the scar on his neck as inconspicuously as possible as Wolfeite went up to speak.

Saying you’re better does nothing to prove that. You’d do well not to underestimate others, yourself.

Not that Kamacite would ever say something like that out loud. At least not in public. Maybe, outside the Rift, he would be brave enough, pushed far enough to push back at Wolfeite’s inability to see past his own ambitions at times.

Others spoke, and then Faustite remained, telling them of the history of youma and what it meant to be youma. The tension in Kamacite’s shoulders lessened a little as he sat and listened.

But you’re not a monster. I wish you wouldn’t call yourself that.

And yet, there was nothing Kamacite could say that he expected would change the other’s mind. Or anyone’s mind for that matter.

He warily took the cup that was offered to him by General Schorl’s personal youma, although he was grateful for her proposal to offer a different name for part youmafied officers.

He lowered his hand back to his lap to hold the cup in both, eyes on the jagged gold that mended the cracks instead of up at the stage. He appreciated what had been done. He was glad that they’d all taken the time to talk, and listen, about youma and how to move forward with youma by their side.

A lot of it he already knew, and a lot he heard for the first time. But as the speakers opened the floor for questions, the heaviness settled back over him.

Senshi really are considered the lowest in the Negaverse, aren’t we?

That was fine. Unlike his General, he didn’t have to tell people not to underestimate him, or the other senshi of the negaverse. The officers and youma and parahuman officers could all underestimate them. They were kept alive for a reason, and not just immediately killed.

You did a good job, Faustite. Speaking to others like this suits you.

General Wolfeite

Kamacite was in the back; Wolfeite had seen him when he'd been speaking but had not indicated to him as of yet. There was no need to call out to him in front of everyone, not when Wolfeite had been spending the rest of his time resisting a strong urge to sink his teeth into the throat of the ones who thought they knew better - namely the General who'd said he liked flowers.

Still, the rest had vaguely interesting things to say, though Wolfeite was less concerned with the human ones than the youma ones. He listened silently, without rebuttal or interference, lurking off to the side of the room with his ears upright and alert, one of them twitching every so often to catch a sound. Shadows deepened around his feet, making them almost invisible in the dim lighting of the room.

But it was finished, and the rest were milling about. Wolfeite took a few slow strides over to where his senshi sat, still clutching the cup in his pale hands. Kamacite had been the first of his recruits and the most promising; he had not forgotten that.

Do you also not like me for what I am? For being a corrupted senshi? Kamacite had asked on his first awakening.

Lost one, I care for no one and nothing except myself. But I will make you into something great. I will make you into something big, so that no one will question you, so that all will fear you, so that you will be able to take what is yours and make the world bow to you.

That was what he had promised, almost two years ago. He had never listened to the lines drawn against the corrupted senshi, had never factored that into his decisions. Kamacite was his recruit, and therefore he would be better than all of them. And as his General, he needed to refocus his efforts more.

Wolfeite let his gaze flicker over Kamacite, eyeing him. The look on the senshi's face was difficult to interpret.

"What did you think?" he asked, and his voice was as low and graveling as ever, but not sarcastic.

Corrupt Zubenelgenubi

When 'Nubi had first heard about the Seminar she wasn't actually one hundred percent certain she had wanted to go. After every that had happen with Periclase and her sister, she wasn't sure how to feel about Youma. As a Senshi in the Negaverse, she would never be able to use them as a tool to help further herself within it either. So, why had she come then? Well, Youma were a part of the Negaverse and so was she. It only made sense that she understand them better. She would have to work with Agents, and had worked with Agents, that had their own personal youma. Best to know as much as possible about them in the end.

As an added bonus, she got to enjoy the eerie atmosphere of the rift. It was a bit annoying that they sat so far in the back, but at least she was about to hear what was being lectured. Everyone who spoke at 'Nubi's full attention, though even she found herself being a bit bored by some of the topics. though, it seemed like everyone had given considerable thought to what they had to say.

And she had thought 'Mali used big words when he talked, but some of these General really knew how to drive a point across. It was all very interesting. Talks of a curse, how Youma came to be, she wondered how much was actual fact and how much was just fairy tale, derived from old and ancient stories of their past. If there was anything she knew for sure, it was that history had a tendency to be like the game 'Telephone'. Phrases, events, and details were lost from one person to the next.

It was nice to see their friend get up on stage, she even gave him a little wave, knowing he wouldn't respond to her as he talked, but happy none the less. He spoke about the rift and those who lived in it. She had some personal experience with that thanks to their adventure a while back. It was definitely not a place for her to explore on her own.

It was Schörl's speech that honestly gave her the most to think about. 'Nubi had only met one half-youma Lieutenant and he had seemed no different from Mali and herself. Other then the obvious physical change to his body. Now she wondered if he had put on a mask around them. If anything, she knew to be more considerate of them now.

Things wrapped up eventually though and 'Nubi stood with 'Mali. Ugh, sitting still for so long had made her knees ache and she stretched them out as best she could.

"It was all very good information to have, even if it didn't pertain too much to us specifically." It had been nice to see the faces of some well-known Generals as well. It was good to see so many Youma, Agents, and Senshi all gathered in one place as well. So many new faces out there.

"I'm sure Vit wouldn't mind if we stopped by and said 'Hello' before heading out. I was surprised to see him up there."

Throughout the meeting, Tanzanite had done well in keeping herself out of the way. Only faint expressions, shadows of the fearsome face she'd left behind, gave cause to believe there was any emotion at all behind that pale, off-color skin. A tightening of her jaw when her former rank was mentioned, a brief closing of her eyes the only indication that she had been part of the Negaverse at all. Everyone once in a while, when the words hit just a little too close to home, when they hurt, Alkaid would reach back and gently hold her hand. A reminder. A promise. You're safe now, that small squeeze reminded her towering counterpart. It was a lie. They both knew it was a lie, but it comforted Tanzanite nevertheless.

And then that weird ******** youma had to speak, and she was yanked right back out of her comfort zone.

' -- to die."

Tanzanite turned her head turned to the strange creature, a youma bonded after her time, and if she'd had a heartbeat it likely would've skipped a pump or two. Not for the creature... but the question. She would leave that one for her superior officers and their youma. It was not her place anymore, and so she remained silent against the wall.

Aaaaand then...

KITTY!

If the shy new recruit in the back was trying to keep all attention off of herself, Tiberius made certain she failed. Tanzanite didn't seem upset about it at the time, grateful for the excuse to slowly sink down to her knees as Alkaid's question dragged attention towards them. It brought her eye-to-eye with the large cat. In her time, Mauvian technology had not existed, but both Tanzanite and her now-missing arm had always felt a strange fondness for the technologically advanced creatures.

And a proper sense of respect, even if her first impulse was to grab them under the tummy and hug them ferociously.

A fact which made Brise and Battu, the two large but weakened wolf youma laying outside of the seminar to await her return, entirely unhappy. Battu growled, but nobody was around to hear him, which only made the emaciated, skinless creature even more annoyed.

Tanzanite laughed, as quietly as she could, and lifted her remaining hand to scratch as gently as possible behind one of the Mauvian's ears. Her fingers ended in claws that were not too different from the feline's own, and so she took great care. It was something she should've asked permission to do – they were not house cats, after all – but Tanzanite's scattered mind didn't even consider it. Even as she brushed it gently along Tiberius' back, watching him with a strange but joyful curiosity, her hand shook.

Why was her hand shaking?

My greatest pleasure to meet you, Tiberius. I'm Ta-” she paused rather suddenly, as though she had made a terrible mistake. Tanzanite was hesitant and almost...afraid? The right side of her face was still as pretty as Aree Cadence had once been, before Kunzite killed her and Tanzanite became... what had they called her? A parahuman? Regardless, that same pretty smile took hold of her expression to mask the fear and trepidation, a technique she tried and failed to copy from Laurelite. There was no permanent way of hiding herself. Alkaid could not stay beside her forever, a bright beacon of energy that stifled Tanzanite's presence, and there was nothing she could do about that cracked and awful thing at her core. They shouldn't have come here... but too much had changed for her to not be there.

Could she really hide forever, down in the Rift?

Did she want to?

The answer to that question came only after one deep, calming breath that her body didn't need, and she lowered her voice to a whisper that only Tiberius would hear.

My name is Tanzanite.

General Jet

A General tried promoting a Captain on his own? Jet felt a sickening weight in his gut, wondering how anyone would think it would be possible for them to promote someone to their same rank. It seemed obvious to him, especially since he’d never been able to recruit someone solely on his own. He had horrible luck in picking out his recruits.

They were not bad recruits... just... so far they’d all been senshi. Citrine, Gadolinite, Rigel, Avicennite. He regretted that he was so young, himself, when he sought out recruits of his own for the first time. As the years passed he couldn’t help but wish he’d done more. To acclimate them to the Negaverse maybe? Make them comfortable with their own magic? It had been difficult finding out that they all had senshi starseeds. At least Seraphinite and Aquamarine who’d joined the Negaverse with him were normal officers. Captains now. His hatred for senshi meant taking longer for him to really come to accept those who’d been brought into the negaverse, as opposed to their White Moon enemies.

But even he knew the dangers of turning others into youma, or part youma, whether by accident or choice. He’d been there, heard the screams as a senshi was forced to eat one too many starseeds and their body and soul was warped into the creatures that lurked in the darkness of the Rift.

It had been several years ago when he was still a young lieutenant. He’d known then to use at least some caution with all things pertaining to the Negaverse. Fighting senshi and knights on the other hand, he couldn’t exactly stop himself from being a bit reckless.

Jet let out a breath as he stood and placed the gift they’d all received into his small pocket of subspace to keep it from getting broken. Again. He was pleased to see Moonstone there, and her enormous Youma. As she’d warned him before, she offered the same advice to the rest of the group in attendance. Her bond was clearly incredibly strong with her youma, and Jet was once again resolved in finding a personal youma of his own. He’d done months of research so far, especially in preparing himself for travel into the Rift. He’d heard stories of those who’d gone missing for months. Many never returned. Others barely alive when they came back. Some had been turned partially into youma themselves.

That wasn’t going to be him. He might not be the strongest General the Negaverse had to offer, nor was he the most intelligent. But he knew he flaws and his limits, and without thorough preparation, he was uncertain of his future success.

Eternal Aue

Squiddy had seated him between a youma that looked like a lamprey and some officer that he didn't know from Eve, though he wasn't entirely upset by this. At least the damned thing didn't 'ink' me today. His relationship with Faustite's personal youma was a trying one; in fact, he had sort of named it. Perkele. A Finnish swear - one he'd directed at it often - was the official name, but the smouldering general tended to just call the gently flapping creature Squiddy. For obvious reasons.

Aue called it annoying.

The youminar got underway with the first guest speaker being quite the familiar face. Several of those presenting were known fairly well by the corrupt eternal, with Euphoria and Benitoite being the exceptions.

Aue found himself with arms crossed and expression sour - it was one thing for a youma to tout their importance and be self-absorbed, quite another for an officer. A schoolyard proclamation as a presentation...should have made one of your subordinates write your speech.

Getting through Benitoite's presentation was an exercise in restraint. Nothing the general said was sensible under the training given to officers of the Negaverse. Aue knew this even as a senshi. It was literally in the training guide that was handed to new officers before the advent of the Mautech tablets - now it could simply be pulled up on those lovely communication tablets at a whim. He could do it during the seminar if he wanted. Aue was pretty sure the verbiage was something like 'Only Generals and above can make new officers, and only Sovereigns can promote made officers' but he hadn't made it a point to memorize the entire thing. Stupid. A waste. And the Queen is going to back his stupidity...for what purpose? To leave what was once an officer to live? Her purpose is unknowable, but it's not my place. Suddenly, he wanted. He had to know - he had questions for Benitoite.

By the time the QnA session began, Aue was in full disgruntle mode, thick brows drawn together. He was having none of lamprey youma trying to nom on his shoulder and clouted it firmly with a "Ei!", using Finnish as he tended to when dealing with youma - or half-youma as it were.

"General Benitoite, Sir," Aue stood, he wanted it to be easier for the man to recognize where the question was coming from, "You say that you were unaware you were unable to promote this captain, however that information is plainly listed withing the Negaverse Training manual." As he had prepared for this, Aue opened his communication pen to tablet mode once more and held it up so that he could read from the highlighted section. "Verbatim, Only Generals and above may corrupt a new officer, and only General-Kings and Queens may promote an officer or corrupt a new Senshi." He closed the tablet and stood, shoulders back and bearing straight, gaze steady upon the diminutive general being addressed.

"It is exceedingly clear, Sir. Can you explain why you thought it within your power perform an action not within your purview?" He wasn't even going to touch on the rest of the paragraph, about how the 'most suitable option' for traitors was death, or how those reclaimed from the White Moon would always be weaker than they once were. Something to discuss with Faustite about Vitriol, at a later date. I'm sure he knows about this, however. He is exacting.

Captain Aquamarine

Aquamarine regretted attending the seminar as soon as he sat down. He wasn’t the sort to mingle much with other officers, or listen to anyone other than Jet — or those of a higher rank than Jet, who Aquamarine couldn’t afford to ignore even if he sometimes wished to. He sat on a bench beside Jet and paid only as much attention as he had to in order to appear like the good little officer Jet often encouraged him to be. Aquamarine spent most of the seminar hiding several bored yawns behind his hand and attempting to control the irritated expressions that frequently crossed his face.

“How inspiring,” he muttered sarcastically, hoisting his arms into a stretch as the floor opened for questions. He was unsure what to do with a gift he had no interest in, but followed Jet’s example and banished it into subspace.

Settling again and glancing up at Jet, Aquamarine took a moment to study the look of resolve on the General’s face. It wasn’t unfamiliar to him, given the years they’d been caught in this mess together, but he hated it more every time, because it generally indicated a need for him to hover around more often to make sure Jet didn’t do anything stupid. Jet had always taken his duties far more seriously than Aquamarine, who relied on Jet to disguise his laziness and apathy. Jet was the good little officer, the devoted General, probably willing to die for this horseshit if need be.

Aquamarine took it upon himself to prevent that from happening.

“Seems like they’re more trouble than they’re worth, don’t they?” he said, loud enough that Jet could not miss the warning in his voice, but low enough not to carry far.

He knew exactly what Jet was thinking, even if Jet had a habit of keeping him in the dark about his plans until Aquamarine pried it all out of him, usually after a lot of bickering and a few heated arguments he never really won.

Eternal Kamacite

Keeping his eyes and thoughts to himself, Kamacite was startled when he heard the growling voice of his General, his shoulders tensing as he lifted his head to meet Wolfeite’s gaze. Wolfeite’s eyes were ones often in his nightmares. Feral and glowing like the moon in a dark sky.

Kamacite allowed himself to take a breath to try and settle himself, though his hands clasped even tighter to the cup between them.

What did he think? He thought a lot of things. Most of those things would never be voiced. He’d accepted his fate long ago, and knew he should be grateful to be alive now, and not a rotting corpse left in an alley, starseedless.

“I thought we were offered much needed insight in regards to youma, sir,” he responded quietly, his eyes settling back down to the cup in his hands. He wasn’t lying, although he’d basically repeated the description given for what the seminar would be about.

I thought maybe there would be an offer to attempt to make senshi visiting the Rift easier, or even plausible to do so on our own. Having a General I can’t communicate with makes things difficult. I agree that youma and parahuman officers should be given the same respect as to those who aren’t… I thought it was a little irrelevant to have senshi learn about things we can do nothing with, except stay away from youma and where they live.

Kamacite would never forget how hunted he felt whenever he was in the Rift. Knowing that it was only by Wolfeite’s grace that he was protected when he was there. For all intents and purposes, he felt even less human than the youma and parahuman officers now, just for being a senshi. Could he blame anyone though? Senshi were the enemy after all.

Another familiar voice had his eyes lifting once more, this time towards the front. Kamacite hadn’t realized Aue was in attendance, but he was asking one of the Generals questions, challenging them and their decisions.

Aue, what are you doing…?

This was something he had expected to be asked of him, or someone to simply comment on. He'd been ready, he knew what was no in manuals and other things. He knew the information, he read a lot. Did people not think things had been different then? Though he hadn't said just how long ago this had all taken place, now had he?

Standing from his seat, to properly speak to the eternal, he moved towards the podium, but off to the side. Nodding his head once he managed a bit of a smile. "Yes, that information I am aware of - I've read it. However, things were rather different six years ago. Not to say they are better now or worse but simply that things are not as they once were. Suffice to say that had I known these things I would not have done as I did." It really was a simple answer. Thankfully it left out the emotional issues which did surround things at the time. Six years...it really had been a long time...so long and he'd been much younger then.

"I'm also aware that in that manual it says those who turn sides should be killed. Yet despite that our Queen's wishes are differing. As I said there is a reason behind this. If you wish we can discuss things in private? If that also is something you wish to know about?" Guessing it might be, since the other was reading right from the manual he might have issue with things. He knew many might in fact, because it did go against the manual. "For now I'll say it is due to circumstances. Youma, full youma, aren't capable of thinking about being human...about wanting to be human..to be purified. Bazzite however did - he sought it out. It is because of this, and his reason, that he is allowed to live for now. The Queen would like him brought back into the fold - something I plan to work on." He just had to find the other, he wondered often if the other wasn't powering up in order to hide....a smart move. Bazzite, as he would continue to think of him, had to know Benitoite would be coming for him in some manner. He knew, perhaps, what Benitoite could do and was capable of. It made his task harder...but not impossible.

"We can talk more if you'd like? After this perhaps? Or whenever you find the time." At the others convince, if he wished, he wasn't the sort to impose times and things on others unless he had to. He was willing to work with others, to the best of his ability.

If Aue does want to ask more he can in private. ^__^ Beni would be more than willing to speak more with him. ^_^

General Wolfeite

A dark brow rose.

"Is that all?" Wolfeite asked. Not unkindly; not abrasively. Low and curious. Around him, he could hear the sound of voices, the shuffling of footsteps, the cadence of syllables as people milled about, asking their questions. One ear was swiveled around to catch all of this, flicking a little, and he stood with his hands linked together behind his back, tall and calm and almost relaxed. Almost; the wary wolf look in his eyes had not yet dissipated in any way and likely never would.

A familiar voice made him almost turn his head, though he resisted the movement. Beneath the mask, Wolfeite's teeth gritted together, but he remained still and silent, listening. After a moment, he half pivoted on his feet, not quite turning fully around, but enough so that he could see the rest of the room, standing more to Kamacite's side than in front of him.

"What would you have said if you had chosen to speak?" Wolfeite asked, slanting a gaze down at his senshi.

Super Corrupted Gadolinite

For the most part, Gadolinite had stood in the back of the room, leaning against one of the walls in lieu of actually taking a seat, arms folded across his chest. He'd been watching silently and only offered a faint smile as a cup was passed to him, which he dangled from his fingertips, eyeing it with a certain amount of wary distaste, unsure what the purpose was, exactly.

Jet was there, beside Aquamarine. Gadolinite hadn't gone up to him just yet but was still mulling over all of the information given, turning it over in his head as he tried to figure out what exactly he thought about it. Jet didn't have a youma yet, as far as Gadolinite knew, and Corrupts weren't allowed to have their own, which left him feeling vaguely annoyed for no reason at all other than the fact that he was, in fact, likely the lower class citizen in the room.

But still. It had been an informative meeting nonetheless. Gadolinite idly turned the cup over in his hands, a frown pulling his brows together, lips in a thin line as he surveyed the people in the room. Other than his general and his equal, that was, though the crowds made it slightly hard to tell, and Gadolinite wasn't exactly trying to mingle.

He pushed himself away from the wall and picked his way towards Jet and Aquamarine.

"A thrilling bit of information," said Gadolinite, in reference to the seminar. "I had not expected there to be so much..." He tried to figure out the proper word in English and gave up trying. "Are all seminars like this?" he asked instead, in reference to the somewhat hard hitting questions being asked around them.
