She really shouldn't have said that.
Mourite withdrew his hand slowly until his hand touched air again. He opened his hand and stared at the bright object in it. It pulsed and thrummed against his skin. He brought it to his lips and kissed it, before he looked up at Dinara. Mourite would have said something suave, something to make her swoon.
Except she was slumped over.
The sight seemed to slowly break Mourite out of his trance, eyes widening. "Di-Dinara? Dinara?!" He panicked, calling her name and shaking her gently.
The starseed.
Oh Force what had he done?
With cautious haste, he put it back into her chest. "I am so... so sorry..."
Then Mourite, Lieutenant of the Negaverse, fled into the night as though a Sith were on his heels.

She felt him moving the object, the starseed, felt an unimaginable pain when it parted company with her, and then everything went dark and she felt as though she were floating. The feeling didn’t last long, and she could vaguely hear Kanan calling her, and she tried to call back, but her body didn’t seem to want to move.
When the starseed was returned, she shuddered, and by the time Dinara managed to clear her head enough to look around…Kanan was gone.
Gone without even a goodbye…
Quietly, the now trembling page managed to get to her feet.
She would have to apologize for scaring him off when she saw him again…she would have to find a better way to make him happy, that was all.
…For now, she just wanted her bed. And maybe some cookies.
Yeah. Cookies would be nice.
