Under the Service of: --

Time: overnight 26/03/19
Location: The Carroll Memorial Rose Gardens

Please describe original mission parameters:
MISSION 006 - THE ROSE GARDEN

Location:The most picturesque wing of the Witzend Grand Arboretum, the Carroll Memorial Rose Gardens are world-renowned for their antiquated elegance and charm. In preparation for the Arboretum’s annual Rose Bloom Festival in June, a team of officers had been testing an energy draining operation with tiny youma in the turnstiles, siphoning tiny orbs from each guest. However, the latest reports indicate that the youma are going missing just as fast as they’re being installed, and the local agents are scratching their heads. Could this be the result of senshi activity in the area? The local branch has asked for volunteer officers to take part in an overnight watch of the area, just in case.

Requirements: 2 - 4 Agents, Must Be Powered, No Stage Limitations

Debriefing: The Arboretum is privately owned and operated, one of a few landmarks that exist outside of Negaverse control. Agents taking part in this mission must do so with utmost discretion and stealth--the Witzend Branch would prefer not to deal with hushing a PR scandal about mysterious officers sneaking around at night.

♠️STEP ONE:

The ticket booths have closed, the last of the groundskeepers have left. With no one else in the arboretum, the gardens are hushed into the whispers of insects and bats in the evening air. Some find it comforting; others unnerving.

All players must roll 1d6 to investigate the area:

    Quote:
1 - Did you know that the arboretum houses over 100 breeds of rose, in every color of the rainbow? You discover that reading one of the garden placards, but don’t see any sign of senshi. Focus! (On your next roll, roll 2d6 and take the lower of the two scores.)
2 - Stop and smell the roses! As you walk through the garden you find yourself distracted by the array of rose. The area you find yourself in is filled with white roses. They stretch as far as you can see. There is one rose that looks out of place. It's a dark red, almost like--- When you touch it, you discover that the coloring comes off. Has someone been trying to paint these white roses red? You're too distracted, but you make note of the oddity anyway. (On your next roll, roll 2d6 and take the lower of the two scores.)
3 - You come across a pocket of roses that are surrounded by teal colored butterflies. If you stare long enough, you start to notice that they're forming their own rose pattern on top of the roses. It's peculiar, so you use your tablet to take a picture. For some reason the flash goes off and you've found yourself attracting the attention of one of the security guards. (Do not roll in step two, you must respond to #2.)
4 - There's a frog on one of the fountains you pass. It croaks loud enough to get your attention and you take a moment to observe it. Several minutes pass before it hops away, to your dismay what felt like a handful of minutes has actually been almost fifteen! You need to get it together before someone notices you! (-3 from your next roll)
5 - It looks like some of the turnstiles have soot on them, almost like scorch marks. That alone wouldn’t be cause for concern, but when you step back, it looks like the soot was imprinted in a series of heart patterns. A Captain or higher will be able to recognize these marks as the residue of senshi magic.
6 - Most of the arboretum is considered too ‘historic’ to install security cameras. However, you notice there’s a camera inside the gift shop that just happens to be facing the turnstiles from inside. A quick review of the footage shows blurry figures arrive at the gates two nights ago, followed by a blinding flash of light. Classic senshi activity. (Add +2 to your next roll)

♠️STEP TWO:

    Each player must roll 1d6:

    Quote:
1 - You find nothing but the sounds of crickets, the running water of the fountains. The wait is starting to test your patience.
2 - You round a corner and are caught by a flash of light. Someone gasps, then shouts, “Oi! Who’s there?” You’ve been found by a security guard roaming the grounds--do you neutralize the witness or attempt to negotiate (Quote Nuxaz)?
3 - Something rustles in the bushes--and a rabbit hops out, sniffing the air before it retreats into the night. It’ll take a few moments for your heart rate to settle, but otherwise you’re okay.
4 - There appears to be a trail of footprints pressed into the grass of the gardens that seem fresh. One of them looks a little singed, something akin to a burned heart damaging the grass. The footprints are too dainty to be the security guard you've seen around. You follow them.
5 - You're distracted by a particularly beautifully blooming rose. When you reach out to touch it, you p***k a finger on a thorn you were too careless to notice. It stings and you feel a little woozy. (Subtract 3 from any combat rolls.)
6 - You hear footsteps and duck into the shadows--it sounds like there are young voices across the garden, and they’re having the most interesting conversation…(Quote Nuxaz for a snippet)

You must resolve the first Stage Two encounter before proceeding to the next player’s, until all players have rolled. Then you may regroup and move to Stage Three (Quote Nuxaz).

♠️STEP THREE:

You feel it, the faintest flicker at the edge of your senses, and then a glimmer--there’s an Order aura nearby.

One player must R1d4. Modify your roll by the following:

    Quote:
If a third-stage or higher character is present as part of your party, subtract one (does not stack).
If a guardian cat is present as part of your party, add one (does not stack).
If a character neutralized the security guard, subtract one.
If a character correctly identified evidence of a senshi presence (5/6 in stage one, 4 in stage 2), add one. (This effect stacks--so two pieces of evidence means +2)

    Final Results:
    Quote:
1 - Maybe it was a powerful aura tipping them off, or a body left strewn and unattended, but the senshi team have been alerted to your presence and have come prepared. You all feel a flash of light and a burning sensation on your clothes and skin as you’re caught in the ambush of a senshi attack, leaving behind little hearts singed all over your bodies. (Quote Nuxaz to engage! Everyone loses 5 HP to start).
2 - The auras linger for a moment, and then fade into the night. No one takes the bait tonight, and you go home empty-handed. (This mission has failed--file a report, this mission may be repeated another night)
3 - You wait in silence, and eventually you’re rewarded--a team of sailor scouts approach the turnstiles, cautious and ready for a fight. (Quote Nuxaz to engage!)
4 - From the depths of the garden comes a lone figure, a sailor scout cut off from the rest of their group. It looks like they’ve chosen to divide and conquer this evening, which leaves them...vulnerable. (Quote Nuxaz to engage!).

    ooc

  • At the conclusion of the mission, please have 1 character fill out a mission report. You may simply fill out the form in the mission hub or write a solo/reg for it.
  • If you have captured your target you have unlocked a special mission! Please quote Nuxaz to trigger it!
  • Successfully completing this mission gives you a Painted Rose (One Time Usage: May be consumed to allow +/-1 to a social encounter dice result. Effects do not stack and cannot be combined with other times.) **MAY ONLY BE OBTAINED ONCE** You cannot claim this time if the mission report has not been filled out and submitted!
  • If your health drops to 0 HP, quote Nuxaz for a special mission!

Please describe the event: Team of three - Captain Tantalite, Senshi Fafnir, Mauvian Theodore. Evidence of some senshi activity was found.

2 senshi were encountered, neither were neutralized or captured.

Were there confirmed senshi sightings as part of this event? Yes

If yes, please describe any confirmed senshi, as well as any features of their arcane abilities: Both appeared to be at least at the Super Level of power. One, more boyish looking, used a magic called 'Kevin's Strength'. Second senshi used no magic and no hint of a name was given.

What acquisitions were made as part of this event? Please describe: N/A

Were any officers injured or impaired as part of this event? Please describe: N/A

Is the mission resolved? Not to my satisfaction. Senshi activity confirmed.

If not, please describe the contingency for planned follow-up activities: Give the area time to breathe, determine if returning would be worth the time to try and capture a senshi. May want to focus efforts elsewhere for at least a week.

By signing this document, I understand that all fields are completed to the best of my ability, and that all accounts are truthful to my knowledge of presented events. I will not omit any information with the intent to obfuscate or otherwise impede on any Negaverse investigation.

Filing Officer:Dravite
Under the Service of:General Labyrinthite
Date: 03.06.2019
Time: Evening
Location: Private Pool at the Crimson Hotel

Please describe original mission parameters: MISSION 003 - THE POOL OF TEARS

Location: The Private Pool at the Crimson Hotel.

Requirements: N/A Specialty Unlocked Mission

Debriefing: Now that you've taken an enemy senshi alive, you have to try and force information from them!

♠️STEP ONE:

You've been gathered at a private pool, called upon by General Labyrinthite due to your assistance in capturing the senshi. It requires a special key-card and is mysteriously void of all hotel staff. There's something eerie about the dim-lighting and the way the florescent lights bounce off of the pool's surface. The smell of chlorine is in the air and it's almost overpowering. You can't help but notice how...clean everything is.

The captive is bound, hands behind their back and ropes binding the rest of them. They're forced to sit on their knees or lay uselessly on the ground. There's a gag in their mouth as well.

It's not hard to deduce what's about to happen.

All players must roll 1d4 to determine their position:

    Quote:
1 - You are on lookout duty, while there are safeguards in place to prevent detection, it's likely that someone is looking for your prisoner! It's best to keep all eyes out. (Leifite)
2 - You've been chosen to do the dirtiest of deeds. It's your job to extract information from the target. You get to be the torturer. (May only be rolled once, if someone has rolled this before you then please roll a second time for a new position. If being the primary torturer is uncomfortable for you and you roll this you may default to lookout instead. If both the Notetaker and Torturer have been rolled, you may choose between lookout or guard.)) (Strengite)
3 - You are chose to stand guard, this puts you at close proximity to the captive and it is your job to make sure that they don't go anywhere! (Adamantine)
4 - You've been chosen to take notes. Utilize your tablet to make sure everything gets recorded! (May only be rolled once! If someone rolled this before you, please roll again. If both the Notetaker and Torturer have been rolled, you may choose between lookout or guard.) (Dravite)

♠️STEP TWO:

Each player, except the Notetaker must roll 1d4:

The notetaker's sole job is to record what is going on to fill out a later report.

If you are the torturer: Strengite
    Quote:
(This determines the 'tone' of this mission! I am willing to allow you to CHOOSE one of these options instead of rolling)

1 - You decide to start off 'nice', ask a few questions, try to pull information out from the senshi without force.
2 - Who needs to play nice? Certainly not you! Deciding that the time for niceties is long past, you don't hesitate to use violence or force to draw out information.
3 - Maybe taunting is your thing or maybe you just like reminding people that they have no control. Either way, you don't exactly start with questions or violence, but rather reminding them that they're a prisoner.
4 - Why hurt their outsides when you can hurt their soul? Show the captive that dying would be a mercy with what you can do to their starseed. Surely they'll want to give up information then!

If you are on lookout: Leifite
    Quote:
1 - Things seem pretty quiet, despite what's going on beside the pool, there doesn't seem to be anything to be concerned about.
2 - Despite the privacy of the pool, there's still glass windows and you think you see movement outside, it could be a trick of the light, you decide your mind is playing tricks on you.
3 - Despite your diligence, nothing seems to be out of place or noteworthy.
4 - There's definitely movement outside. You leave to go investigate. (Wait for Nuxaz to respond!)

If you are a guard: Adamantine
    Quote:
1 - The senshi seems to be docile...enough, so you remain vigilant in your position, ready to neutralize as needed!
2 - There's no need for you to do anything but stand there, for now.
3 - Despite their bound hands, it looks like the senshi might be doing something...Better remind them that you and your allies are in control!
4 - The senshi somehow manages to free their hands! Either someone didn't learn how to tie knots well or this captive is just tricky! Better get them under control! (Wait for Nuxaz to respond)

♠️STEP THREE:

There is no Step Three, results will be determined by how the rest of the interrogation goes!

Please describe the event: As the ones responsible for apprehending Striker, Eternal Adamantine, Lieutenant Strengite, Lieutenant Leifite and I were lead to the private pool at the Crimson Hotel by General Labyrinthite.

Lieutenant Strengite volunteered to take the lead role in trying to extract information from Striker. Please see the attached interrogation notes for further details.

Eternal Adamantine stood guard in case he made an attempt to escape while Leifite remained on the lookout in case someone tried to rescue their comrade.

Were there confirmed senshi sightings as part of this event? N

If yes, please describe any confirmed senshi, as well as any features of their arcane abilities: N/A

What acquisitions were made as part of this event? Please describe:Potential intel was extracted from the prisoner. It is yet to be determined if any of the information is reliable. Some comments he made that are of notable concern include.
  • Striker estimated that there may be around 300 or more of them spread throughout the city.
  • There are potential moles in the Negaverse. Spies leaking information on our whereabouts. In an attempt to instill doubt among our team he had also suggested that one of the five of us was an informant.
  • This may not be the only city they are currently occupying. There is a chance we may see uprisings in other cities outside of Witzend.

Were any officers injured or impaired as part of this event? Please describe: Striker managed to free himself from his restrains however he was detained by General Labyrinthite and the six-eyed raven youma before any he was able to deal any significant injuries to anyone.

Is the mission resolved?N

If not, please describe the contingency for planned follow-up activities: The terrorist remains in our possession, further interrogations may provide additional information.

By signing this document, I understand that all fields are completed to the best of my ability and that all accounts are truthful to my knowledge of presented events. I will not omit any information with the intent to obfuscate or otherwise impede on any Negaverse investigation.

Filing Officer: Lieutenant Tetrahedrite
Under the Service of:
Date: 11/Apr/2019
Time: 16:45
Location: Semi-abandoned Flats construction site

Please describe original mission parameters:
gaia_star MISSION 004 - APARTMENT HUNTING

Location: Downtown or Uptown Witzend, any new development found in the city.

Requirements: 2-4 agents, you may be powered but it is suggested that you enter as civilians to keep from drawing too much attention.

Debriefing: One of your own has been captured by the enemy! You don't have a lot to go off of but there's been reports of squatters in the new apartment developments and sightings of tents

♠️STEP ONE:
Turns out there's a lot of new development happening in Witzend and you'll have to pick an area to start.

One player must roll 1d4 to determine their location:

    Quote:
1 - After some deliberation, you decide to check out the new development where there's rumored to be a lot of tents popping up in Uptown Witzend.
2 - You chose to explore Downtown Witzend, where new businesses are under construction.
3 - Not far from the Crimson Hotel is three or four half finished complexes, you decide to explore there.
4 - Having heard rumors about some squatters, you decide to check out the string of development that leads up to Downtown Witzend.

♠️STEP TWO:

Now that you've picked your location, it's time to start your search. You're hoping to find information that'll help you reclaim your captured ally, or even find them, but you'll take any information at this point.

Each player must roll 1d6 to determine if they find anything of interest:

    Quote:
1 - There's construction tools that look abandoned and you find an worn, orange safety helmet but there's nothing interesting.
2 - You find what appears to be fresh footprints in the soften ground around the building. Curious, you decide to follow them. (Quote Nuxaz)
3 - A mouse skitters past you. You're startled but no worse for the wear. You find nothing interesting.
4 - Lighting isn't so great once you're inside and when you turn the corner every part of you is on high alert. Someone is right in front of you! In a panic you lash out. It turns out to be someone you came with. Whoops... (You run into the person who posted above you!)
5 - Entering one of the buildings you make your way into a room, there you find a collection of items. Most of it is trash, but there's some blankets and half eaten food. Upon further inspection you find that most of it is fresh. (Quote Nuxaz)
6 - As you're picking your way through pieces of lumber, concrete, and construction, you spot a white cat. (Quote Nuxaz)

♠️STEP THREE:

For the most part the search isn't exactly helpful and you're all starting to get frustrated and antsy. Still, you keep searching.

    Each player must roll 1D6

    Quote:
1 - You found someone! Oh wait, it's just a drunk...who slurs at you and throws their empty bottle at you.
2 - You spot a tent that's moving around a lot. Upon investigation you find it filled with rats who promptly bite you. Ouch! (Lose 2 HP)
3 - While you're scouting you catch sight of someone who looks like they match one of the descriptions filed in the reports. You know glamour likes to trick you and you decide to take a chance and confront them. (Quote Nuxaz)
4 - You find a room with a set of chairs and ropes. One of the chairs looks like it's been smashed and that there was a struggle. While you can't find any other evidence, you make note of it to check the surrounding area.
5 - You hear voices as you climb up unfinished stairs with care. Hold on...Could it be? (Quote Nuxaz)
6 - For one reason or another you find yourself alone and suddenly someone is shouting at you. Before you can react, you're hit and knocked out! (Quote Nuxaz)

    OOC

    • At the conclusion of the mission, please have 1 character fill out a mission report. You may simply fill out the form in the mission hub or write a solo/reg for it.
    • If you hit 0 HP at any point, Quote Nuxaz for a special interaction!
    • Successful completion of the mission earns you tangy crumpet (This may only be used once to regain 4HP) and may be claimed TWICE.

Please describe the event: The agents Noctua, Tetrahedrite, and Fettelite Investigated a construction site occupied by the homeless. Multiple sitings occurred of suspicious individuals: Tetrahedrite witnessed a cat which may have had a Guardian mark. Noctua overheard a conversation which was highly indicative of senshi activities but the targets evaded successfully. Fettelite was last seen investigating. Powering up confirmed the presence of an Order energy signature, and signs indicate that the individual has captured LT Fettelite.

Were there confirmed senshi sightings as part of this event? Y

If yes, please describe any confirmed senshi, as well as any features of their arcane abilities: Confirmed by energy signature and the apparently successful capture of a Lieutenant.

What acquisitions were made as part of this event? Please describe: Fettelite was acquired.

Were any officers injured or impaired as part of this event? Please describe: No known injuries.

Is the mission resolved? N

If not, please describe the contingency for planned follow-up activities: Fettelite's whereabouts need to be ascertained. It is unlikely he will be kept at this specific site, but continued observation of the location would be prudent.

By signing this document, I understand that all fields are completed to the best of my ability, and that all accounts are truthful to my knowledge of presented events. I will not omit any information with the intent to obfuscate or otherwise impede on any Negaverse investigation.
