Lieutenant Agrellite

While the signs really didn't give a whole lot of information they did have the effect of fueling curiosity, and that was precisely what had prompted Agrellite to follow the hastily scribbled arrows through the castle and towards an unknown meeting spot. Well, unknown to her.

She entered the room with her tablet in hand and attention down at the screen, the fingers of her freehand moving swiftly across a digital keyboard as she fired off a quick message to Chrysie, curious if the other girl had seen any of the signs and had any intention of checking it out.

If not, well...any training was good training, right?

Lieutenant Lyonsite

Lyonsite laughed as Quin flipped her the bird, but looked up (yes, actually looked up) at Starr as the corrupt joined them. "Hey, baby Starr!" She greeted cheerfully. She reached and patted the boy's leg, and snorted. "He couldn't mime. It'd require him having to be quiet." The woman teased, and then positively beamed when the clown lieutenant made his appearance.

"I know, Peni. They're ruuude. My favorite song is really awesome too. It's classic." The woman fell silent for a moment though as she caught sight of movement, and watched as Peni summoned his balloon.

Oh.

Please say he was going to---

Lyonsite's grin was nothing short of face splitting when it popped, and she watched Quin with eager anticipation.

lt. edenite

Hast du etwas Zeit für mich?
Dann singe ich ein Lied für dich
Von 99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont

In heel-tap-tap-tapped the silver haired lieutenant, garnished with a ruby red scarf around her neck that she had made herself. She tugged at it slightly to fix some unseen imperfection, crossed her arms, and fixed the group with a look.

Free, the sign said. And like college layabouts looking for any sustenance they didn’t have to pay for themselves, there they all were.

“That is my guess,” Edenite continued. “Are you all done down there?”

Sailor Vanth

What strange signs! General Xenotime was amazing and perfect, but it didn't seem it would hurt to try to show some extra something- some razzle dazzle- and seek out some extra opportunities. If the situation was right, and she got to know some things, maybe she could even impress and please her General!

Like extracurricular studies and showing innovation. Problem solving! So Vanth followed the signs along to the large room, and entered it looking mostly UP at the ceiling. Then down at So Very Many People. They were so colorful and looked all of them impressive- there was even one with strange, fluffy ears! Are those real? Can they move? I wonder who will be coordinating the training. There wasn't any name on those signs....? was there? Oh, these shoes will be a menace.

The small senshi regretting not having taken one from the wall to bring along as reference, but that would have been one less for others to see and follow (which was no good!) She moved to the edge of the room and leaned against the wall, trying to make sure she didn't get in anyone's way.

Captain Larimar

Larimar looked for one long second at Kainite like he was some strange brand of pond scum they'd found on the bottom of their shoe; and then they grimaced a little and offered a pointedly fake smile, because what the hell, they'd practically signed up for socializing by following the sign. They didn't have an excuse to be a d**k in public right now.

"If you count 'two years' as long, yes."

Shockingly, he found himself on time for once.

Shouldering open the door, the redheaded general swept inside the room with a jaunty stride, whistling some tune under his breath. He eyed the gathered collective appreciatively, offering them each a toothy grin in turn. He knew signs were the way to go. ******** Angelite and her professional etiquette opinions. Before got too far in, he planted a loving foot in Lieutenant Quintinite's ribs to shove him over. Dumbass. There was a pause as he looked over Lieutenant Lyonsite, eyes widening briefly. "Holy s**t," He said, "It's a Super Saiyan 3."

The half-youma was eyed with a hum as he moved towards the center of the room, then turned to face the crowd. "So," General Obsidian said, "You don't want to get your asses beat in a fight. That's half the battle right there, because good lord, the Negaverse these days doesn't seem to give much of a s**t about that!" He paused, clicked his teeth together for a moment so the sound echoed eerily throughout the room, then continued, "You don't get to be pretty little ******** with flashy moves, all graceful and stylish and s**t. Real fights don't work like that. It's gonna be messy, it's gonna be ugly, and it's gonna hurt,"

Another clack of his teeth, another wide grin.

"Get it? Training is all well and good for honing reaction time, building strength and skill... but until you're out there, fighting someone who wants to kill you? And I mean really wants to kill you--you lot have no idea what you're in for." Obsidian slapped his hands together, practically beaming. "But that's why I'm here. Cue the dramatic reveal!"

With a flourish of his arm, he tapped into the dark energies surrounding all of them, snaking tendrils of power out to seek the target of his choice. Obsidian latched on, pulled, summoned--

And dragged an angry youma the size of a semi-truck into the huge room. The creature's grey hide was slick with moisture, wicked spines jutting every which way along back. It thrashed with too many limbs, some tipped with claws, others with almost human-like hands that currently flailed with angry fists. It glared hatefully at them with dozens of eyes, opening its impossibly large mouth to bellow its rage... and incidentally bare rows upon rows of serrated teeth.

Obsidian had absently made his way back to the door, his whistling drowned out by the enraged creature. "Have fun! Make me proud! Or, you know, don't." The door slammed behind him, and the youma fell silent just long enough for everyone to hear the audible click of the lock sliding in place.

The youma snarled, its features twisted into a disturbingly humanesque expression before it lunged forward with snatching hands and raking talons. Lieutenant Tyrolite would find himself seized by one hand that threatened to crush him into a meaty pulp... before it pulled back towards the youma so that it could toss him into its gaping maw. There was a thick, wet swallow as it gulped the young man down whole before it fixed its unblinking eyes upon the other humans (or half-humans) before it.

You are now locked inside the room with an enormous youma!

Lieutenant Quintinite

Quintinite would have kicked Peni in the balls for popping a balloon in front of his bloody face, but there was a boot in his ribcage and then he was abruptly sent sprawling, Quintinite letting out an undignified yelp as he tumbled into Lyonsite's legs.

"What the - "

He was still sitting on his a** on the ground beside Lyonsite when he saw the general leave, and then there was....something...staring at them.

Quintinite observed it for a long, long moment, then said, in a tone of mildness, "You know, I did think to myself, self, perhaps you ought to stay home tonight so nothing rather ridiculous happens to you, like, I don't know, a dirty great youma trying to eat you or something. Just as a thought, I maybe should have listened to myself."

Lieutenant Alabaster | DMG: 2 | BOSS HP: 148

Alabaster wished, fervently, that he was back at home.

Since he wasn't, and since he might as well do the thing right, he swung his cane at the youma as though this was going to do something truly impressive, since Alabaster was not the sort of person to do anything halfhearted by any means, regardless of what it was.

He missed getting thwacked across the ankles by the youma's tail, at least. That counted for something, right.

Lieutenant Agrellite - Youma HP: 146

As a general strolled in that appeared to be in charge Agrellite snapped her tablet closed and sent it away, arms folding loosely as she watched him plant a for against some other agent's ribs before just sitting him over. It resulted in an upward twitch of purple brows, surprise showing on delicate features as she glanced wanting at those nearest to her.

"s**t, what'd we walk into?" She asked of a dainty corrupt in lace and heels leaving against the wall beside her,

However, it was around this point the general told them—well, showed them—what they were here for. The summoned Youma bellowed in anger as it snatched up an agent, and then the general just...walked away.

"This is training?" It came out loud, squeaky.

Agrellite didn't even bother with her weapon as she darted in for a quick jab at the meet of the body. The hit connected, but so did one of it's flailing legs and the lieutenant found herself knocked back on her a**

Lieutenant Datolite (who has definitely been here the whole time)
DMG: 5
BOSS HP: 141

Datolite didn't particularly want to be at extra training. She already went to Marcasite's combat practice, and she participated it enough to know that she hated how in her face it was, how she was expected to actually try maneuvers and fight. She'd rather be playing with her new sound equipment, or playing League, or doing anything that involved minding her own business out of Negaspace. But she'd seen Tyrolite following the signs and decided to follow along herself, even if they hadn't talked much since the whole...flower thing.

What could she say? Ella was a busy girl, she had things like work and class and going out to parties with demon elephants. She didn't have time for people who only gave out participation flowers.

Still, she lingered in the space around him, fiddling with her phone and her headset to try and get them to sync. Maybe Tyrolite would notice her presence. Maybe he would notice her lack of presence. Maybe he'd care, maybe he wouldn't. Mostly, she was annoyed that somewhere along the way she'd started to care, because unlike so many people in her life she trusted Reid to be honest and forthcoming with her. She'd simply thought that he'd be honest in liking her, too, and that was a bitter pill she was learning to swallow.

Datolite stopped picking at her weapon to glance up at the sassy redhead, wondering if she was supposed to respect him for being rude to everyone in the room. She gave less thought to the creature he summoned, because almost instantly it was lunging at the assembled group, and she watched placidly until it went ripping into Tyrolite.

Her brain took a moment to process what her eyes had seen. It was grabbing Tyrolite. "Hey--stop it!" She moved without thinking, rising to her feet to try and shove the beast away, rewarded for her efforts with a hissing pain as the beast raked across her shoulder with a set of gangly claws. Datolite staggered back, whimpering, and she tried not to look at the blood (her blood, blood on her uniform, all those scratches exposed to the open air, who knows where this thing has been).

Then she watched, powerless and incapable, as the thing dragged Tyrolite into its mouth, snapped it shut. The color drained from her face and she begged herself to move, to fight, to do anything to maybe save the boy from those jaws. And she did do something--eventually, she screamed. "Covey!"

Penikisite - DMG: 6 - Boss HP: 135

Edenite was here, he noted, acknowledging her with a slight tilt of his head and a flash of pearly white teeth, still stark against the white paint of his face.

The look on Quintinite's face was hilarious enough, but the boot he took to the ribs left a small tick of annoyance to float across the clown's face like a shadow. Messing with his own team? Fine. Anyone else? Less fine. In the end it wasn't really anything to get too worked up about, but his nostrils flared as he stared at the general, hard.

Messy. Ugly. Painful. Given half a chance, Penkisite would've loved a one-on-one demonstration of it, but even if the general wasn't up to facing them on his own, at least he left something fun for them to play with. That made the smile come back, and he gave a gleeful laugh. Even better, it ate someone. The laugh escalated into a howl as he charged at it, only assuming his team would follow behind as he slammed a fist into the slick gray skin, aiming for one of many eyes, before dancing out of reach of a counter attack.

Kainite - DMG: 6 - Boss HP: 129

Two years. About how long Kainite had been around, come to think of it - but he'd been missing in action for about as long, so there was that. "That's impressive!" Any amount of disdain was completely lost on him, as usual. Seemed to be turning into a trend as far as he was concerned. "Which general do you serve under? Do you like it here? I - "

Oh, a general was here. Cool.

Oh, a monster was here. Less cool.

Oh, it ate someone. That was - "IT ATE HIM, " Kainite exclaimed, pointing, very much stating the obvious and making it a big point to tug on the captain's sleeve as though that would do anything about it. Then, he went ahead and flung his drink-weapon at the monster before high-tailing it to the other end of the room.

Lieutenant Vitriol
(Wolframite is using a codemane of Vitriol for the time being. He would not be recognizable by others in his past new to his new appearance.)

Wolframite was speechless a moment as the red-headed General came into the room. While he had never spoken to Obsidian before, he remembered the man. Remembered him as far back as the days of their first leaders. Charonite. Nealite. Tanzanite. It struck him to see someone from so far back still here, still remaining, and apparently being a good soldier in training the younger officers. There was a slight twist of jealousy at that, but regardless of the bitterness, there was also that sort of twisting feelings of nostalgia in seeing any face from so far back ago. That at least some people persisted. Remained.

Rising up from the ground, he listened but tried not to react with a head shake. He knew how the feel of battle worked, the intent to kill or be killed, and had only recently stared it face to face in the eyes of Romulus and many others of the Dark Moon Court. But training, as pointed out, was vital to his survival.

The sight of the youma suddenly made the choice of room making sense, and he brought his hands together as he stared in utter amazement at the sheer bulk of the creature. The spines. The sickly gray of it's body and the sheen of moisture on it's hide. The limbs moving in and out of the uncanny from hands to claws and all grabbing as it reached out for an officer, gathered them up into his grasp, and swallowed it. That - would be a interesting way to come out IF they came out. One had to only imagine how dangerous the inside was compared to its outside.

But the fact remained that they were here to fight this youma and he took a breathed, and smiled. A youma the size of a barn was a wonderful thing to fight.

Unclasping his hands, he raced forward. "Wonder if we can cut its gut and get the man out?" He said to no one in particular as he slashed at the body of the beast and immediately jumped away from three of its grasping hands.

Lieutenant Lyonsite

Lyon grinned as Edenite showed up. "I mean, that's a good song too, but not the one!" Any further banter was cut short as a boot that didn't belong to anyone on the team nailed Quin and sent him straight into the woman. Lyonsite shot up into a stand, her own nostrils flaring---right until she cooled it because it was a General. Oh boy---and, well...

It was kind of hard to be mad when he made a Dragon Ball Z reference.

Sorry Quintinite.

"Kamehameha, Sir!" Lyonsite quipped back to General Obsidian, and reached down to hook her hands under Quintinite's arms. She hoisted the man up to his feet.

"Well, we don't listen to you---" She grinned widely at the man, as literal chaos broke loose with the summoning of the huge a** youma. "So you shouldn't start listening to you either---holy s**t did that youma just eat that agent?" She looked both horrified yet enthralled at the same time.

"Baby Starr!" She turned towards the corrupt of their group. "Don't become a nugget, okay!? I'd really hate to have to dive in after you!" That being said, she followed suit after the clown. Unfortunately, she was more of a brute fighter, so when a flying appendage came her way, she did not dodge.

Ouch.

HIM.

Tantalite flashed back to a moment in a hospital while holding a bedpan and she recognized the redhead's voice immediately. If everything hadn't have happened so fast, she probably would have crossed the space to have a word or two with the General - but it seemed instead they had larger, multi-limbed things to play with.

Thing. There was only one. She still wanted to sock the red-haired General, though.

The Youma would have to do for the long-awaited revenge punch, which was more of a very pointed jab in the thing's eye with her weapon and a very serious furrow of her own brow.

Clearly, she was mad.
