She felt a smile start to show when he said she could come visit anytime. That he wouldn't mind if she didn't talk a lot. He was OK with her just being there.
"I'm sure I'll have time to come visit a couple of times." she said quietly, quite focused on the wood grain in the planks of the dock now. "I mean, the adhesive had to dry and sometimes I get tired of being all by myself." not that she was always alone, she had Geode. But sometimes she thought about stepping out of her sister's shadow.
It was just so hard to when she was there.
Oh great, now they were both blushing. It showed more clearly on him, he was already a peach color naturally. But she could feel her own warm face and thought herself silly.
"I... I should get back. Now that I've got for sure measurements I can start picking out stones." she cast a glance at Lettuce, turning toward the end of the dock and the water.

Oh dear, they were both blushing now. Lettuce dug his hoof gently on the sand, and nodded slowly. Shyness was not something he was used to, maybe it was contagious?
He smiled gently. "Um, right, yeah. If you gotta go. I am sure you have work to do, but....um, like seriously, do come around. It's always great to see you and what not. "He paused. "Or, like, I could visit you sometime for a change...."

She blinked a few times before turning back around, putting her hover bracelets in her bag before making eye contact. She needed the moment to react to the quick upswing in her heart rate.
"Y-you could come see my shop sometime." she ventured. Her head shot up as she looked at him. "I'd really like that!" she hefted the bag over she shoulder.
"I'll come back in a couple days... Just to hang out... OK?" that last word was small, but hopeful.

Lettuce nodded quickly, perking up and puffing up with confidence like one of his crabs clicking their claws. "Ok! That sounds awesome! I'll be looking forward to that! Have, like, a safe swim back!"

"I will!" she said, giving him a wave and a smile before backing into the water and diving into an incoming wave. Once she was sure she was far enough from shore, she let it a very girly squeal, doing a couple barrel rolls and giggling.
