crying When I get an avatar compliment from someone who makes amazing avatars like you, I feel I must have done a really good job. Thank you!
emotion_awesome Is it the lack of black/red/gore/sinister-ness? Maybe I should add some blood stains in the background just to reassure everyone it's still me? jkjkjk
A few years ago I made a more chic avatar for Spirit week. Didn't feel like me at all and I changed out of it pretty quickly. Tried to go for a look that fit with Spirit week, but also fit me. You're right, it's different from my usual style, but close enough I don't feel compelled to immediately change the look. (Also, your compliment definitely makes me want to keep the look for a bit.)
Past Spirit Week Avatars:
Just the avatar on the far left (I group my avatar saves by color).
Can someone please explain to me what's Spirit Week so I can try to create an avatar that fits the theme? Thanks in advance.
eek Just passed a suggestion on that a little information on what Spirit Week is might not be a bad idea. Very good question! There should be a complete answer to your question posted this week; however, as a partial answer: Spirit Week is like a birthday party for the guild. Celebrating the guild, accomplishments, and recognizing individual guild members.
Can't remember which yellow is the official yellow, but I believe Cornflower Blue is the official blue. (Basically the colors in the Spirit Week banner & NSTG Guild March). Dressing up in any blue and gold fits the theme though. 3nodding

I belieeeve goldenrod is the yellow/gold that NSTG uses. But XD; something about that doesn't look yellow enough... I swear it's that one though. XD;
I can't wait for the avatar contests to start up. O 3O While yellow/blue is totally the theme of this event... I also love seeing everyone in their daily spirit week outfits. O: That's when this event really kicks off (to me, at least).

The Awards Ceremony is is a black tie affair. People usually dress up in full length gowns and tuxes. It's because, as seen in the sticky, Ebania asks people to "come dressed in your finest blue and gold apparel." Many users tend to keep their usual style, but use blue/gold/yellow items. Anndd others come dressed however the heck they feel like it, so the dress code isn't mandatory. Of course, that's the Awards Ceremony. The avatar contests, here, will have their own themes, separate from the Awards Ceremony. Did any of your schools hold spirit week events or have you seen them in TV/movies? This event is exactly what Dark said -- it's like a birthday for the guild. It's also kind of like a week-long pep rally event where there will be different outfits to wear each day (these avatar contests set the outfits that people usually end up wearing each day) and kinda just rallies the guild spirit. n 3n

The NSTG Guild March item is expensive in the Marketplace. sad
sweatdrop It is sold for a pretty high price on the mp. The Gambino color scheme has a bunch of blue and yellow items too. Other color schemes with blue and yellow: Ochiba, Verdigris, Etoile, Duckie. I've used Fafnir/checkmate items in the past (there's loads of low priced Fafnir/checkmate items) and then added a few gold items.
