Dude, that was awesome. I'd never heard of using pendulums for divination before, so I decided to try it with a crystal pendant that I normally keep locked in my filing cabnet. I located another necklace that I thought had been stolen within a few minutes.

The instuctions I found online said to either:
1) Hold the pendulum and ask it questions that you know the answer to, then assign the movements it makes in response to "yes", "no" or whatever else you want,
2) Or draw a cross and use the vertical axis as yes and the horizontal axis as no.

I will have to experiment further.

I use pendulums a lot. My friend can do the whole water divination thing. It's pretty cool. If i'm bored i tend to ask the pendulum random yes or no questions. I get funny looks at school when I do it. I've also done it with other people that wanted to know what i was doing. It was pretty funny when i started revealing some secrets. My current pendulum is a necklace i have with a really pretty blue crystal on the end. I have some actual quartz crystals but i have to find a way to put them on a string to make a pendulum out of those. I've always loved clear quartz. I usually ask it if my name is Ashley first [which it is] and i'll tell it that the movement it made [which is always a circle] is assigned to the answer 'Yes' and go from there. I solely concentrate on the crytal and what I am doing. I dont pay attention to anything that is giong on around me and I'm very serious. I dont play around while i'm using it. If i need to be serious I wear that necklace and it actually helps since I always have serious energy comming from me when using it and only serious thoughts when touching it [since you charge things with your energy when you touch it, that helps. Thats why books and things say never touch your wand and other wiccan ritual things when you have negative feelings because you dont want that energy in your rituals. I'm wiccan so that is what I believe.] Anyway, thats all I know about the pendulums. I plan on reading more so if I find anything I'll post it here.
