She blinked, startled and shocked by his words, her eyes huge. "Wh... WHY would he do that?" She was appalled by this, and stunned. Were the people like Ganymede actually horrible, evil people? She thought they were on the side of good, on the side of Order.
"Your... knight? I thought you were..." She was tugged after him, startled, and was pulled into the sad old church, her eyes taking in what had once been a beautiful building. The armor and ash caught her eyes, and she stared at it.
And then she stepped back, as she realized what he was implying. "That... was your predecessor? I... Oh. Ohhhh." He was treating the deceased person with such a cavalier attitude, and she did not know how to handle this. Or Gevaudan in general.
She was about to step back, and out, when he flopped... and pointed at something she had missed seeing before. "The Code..." She moved towards it, being VERY careful not to step in any ash, swords, or armor, and finally stopped, looking at it. "That is... fascinating."

He reached into his jacket and untwisted the cap to the whiskey. "Metallia is more impressive. The Code is like a glowing puzzle. All the little pieces all over the world. One in every wonder, and if you are a good little boy or girl, it might talk to you." He took a drink. "But ...kinda cryptically cause magic alien magic." He waved a hand in a little swirling manner.
"But yeah. Ganymeade was a Royal and she did jack for the people starving out here while they had their fancy parties and let the knights try and keep the peace. You see how well that did for them." He gestured at the ashes on the floor. "You can only push people so far before they snap."
He turned to kick his feet up on the pew and watched her. "And don't touch my Code peace. I don't know what it will do and I don't to drag your body back. I like knights after all. Would be a shame if one of you died for no reason."
He took another sip of whiskey. "So, what else do you want to know now that you are here in my wonderfully wondrous wonder?"
And then he held out the bottle. "Want some?"

"What is Metallia?" She asked, confused, looking back at him, though her brows lifted up to see the booze out again. "And I can wait to get my turn to talk to the Code. Glowing talking balls of light are one thing I'm in no rush to deal with. Talking cats are weird enough, if you ask me." She turned back to listen to him, her brows pulled together, really tight, as she listened to him talk about Ganymede. "She sounds like she was a stellar example of a woman." Her tone was utterly sarcastic. "Does she still exist, or is she dead? Was this way back, or in modern times? I'm... It just seems all so odd to me." She blinked, and her brows unlocked, so that she could lift the left one at him, a little sardonically. "Yeah, don't worry. I won't touch the piece. I have no idea what it might do, either, and generally? I follow the policy of not touching things that are glowing, because it might be bad for me." She pursed her lips, thoughtfully. "Is this Oh So Wondrous Wonder on Earth, then? Are they all on Earth? How do we... TRAVEL through spacetime to get here?" She blinked at the bottle, then moved to sit next to him, gently shaking her head. "No, thank you. I don't like who I am when I drink."

"Good question. Hell if I should know what it is. It is just the massive Chaotic energy that orders all the Negaverse around. See...it's like this." He leaned back as he rose his hand up high. "Chaos. Metallia. Queen Beryl. Then all the General Kings and Queens. Then Generals. Captains. Lieuteants. Anddddd youma are kinda somewhere all in that mix of stuff." He said as he made his hand go down each step before swirling it about for youma.
He took another sip of the bottle. "Ganymede was a mess. Kinda still is. She is around. Haven't talked to her in a while. Not that she does anything. All the Royals are pathetic."
Leaning back, he set the bottle on his stomach and closed his eyes. "Some wonders are on planets. Some are on earth. This is on Ganymeade. It's where my knight was stationed to keep the peace." He gestured to the pile of ash.
"Didn't work out for 'em."
Her questions kept coming and he rubbed his head. "Question for you. What do you think about being a knight? Why are you...Why are you doing this? Risking your life when you don't know nothing? And who are you when you drink? You have a ad - ad-diction?"

"Huh." Was what she said, in response to his explanation about the ranks of the Negaverse. For all that her response was short and less then eloquent, her eyes were lost in thought, filing all the data he was giving her away into her head, to track the information, so that she could process all of it in a more effective fashion. She blinked at that. "Wasn't all of this a LONG time ago? How is she still alive, to be talked to?" She was utterly confused by that statement. "Mmm... wonder where mine is. I'll have to figure that out at some point..." She looked at the ash again, and sighed softly, bowing her head and murmuring something under her breath. She glanced back at him. "That's several questions." Her tone was teasing, but friendly. "And... As for what I think? I think it's ******** up that we're supposed to figure this s**t out on our own, while the Senshi get Mauvians to explain the basics. Beyond that, I still don't know. If I can help prevent innocents from getting hurt, I will." And her eyes went a little hard. "I already knew that the Nega-bastards were horrible, before I knew what they were. One tried to kill me before I became... this. And then I saw a little monster attacking a child. That was the day my weapon showed up." She turned away from him, as she continued, her head lowering. "I won't let people hurt children, if I can stop it, nor monsters. I'll do almost anything to protect a child." Her tone was blank, like she was hiding her emotions hard. "And no. I don't have an addiction. I just lose more control over my tongue than I am willing to accept." She turned back, her expression showing only bleakness.

"Naaahhhh. Ganymeade got reborn. Like everybody else. Got remade. Became a royal. Like eeevvveeerrryybbbooodddyyy else. Just die. Cauldron. Here. Over and over. Unless someone breaks your starseed. Reuse. Recycle. Redo the whole dang thing." He said, twirling a finger in a circle as he picked at the sticker label on the bottle.
He frowned at the change of subject. "You know....the Negaverse and youma. Those monsters you said. That's youma. They are us. They are knights. All of em. Just other side of the coin. And they ain't any more monsters than any other side. Don't think evil can't be done here - with this energy. You can do - like - a whole lot of ******** up s**t as this." He said, his expression settling into a somber seriousness before he took a very long, deep drink.
"Don't badmouth em round me." He warned.
The last part did make him grin a bit. "So yur holding back. Not sayin what you think." His smile became toothy as he held out the bottle. "You sure you don't want to. I'd like to hear what you really think. No bullshit polite with me. I don't give a ******** about a lot of things, and I know a whole hell of a lot more than you. I'm a ******** vet!" He said, and took a swing of the bottle which was soon becoming emptier and emptier.

Her brows rose up, at the comment about being reborn. She'd heard him mention stuff like that, and maybe someone else, but it wasn't too clear. So there was some kind of cauldron, and... wait what? "Cauldron? What cauldron? What do cauldrons have to do with being reborn, or starseeds?" The downside to questioning someone who was drinking themselves to utter unsoberness was that it's hard to be sure how reliable what she was getting, AND even if it was reliable, it was hard to get the information in a straight forwards fashion. She blinked, and turned back to face him, her face vulnerable. "I don't care what people tell me. I'll never walk up to some poor random stranger in a park, and tell them that I plan to kill them... Let alone attempting to do so. Maybe they're... just the flipside, but being willing to murder innocent strangers who've done nothing to you is... Wrong. I don't think there's anything anyone can say to me that will justify doing that." She shuddered, still terrified of the Man In Green. "But I won't bring up the topic with you, if it bothers you. I accept that it is important to you, and we aren't going to agree on this. Maybe my view will eventually change but for now... Not likely." She tilted her head at him, and snorted. "I hold back all the time. Few people need to know the things in my head. Fewer still the things that are why I don't drink, and most of those have nothing to do with being a Page. My biggest issues with that are the lack of information, the fact that recruitment seems to be via sudden "Weapon" appearing in mid-air, but no training, no real power for a new Page, no real CHANCE in a fight if we have to battle, because if we're fighting someone with powers, the ******** are we supposed to do?" She shrugged, and tilted her head. "Anything else in my head is... mine, and mine alone." She sounded tired, and younger than the twenty-something she was.

"The Cauldron. Up in space. Where your starseed goes when you die so you can be reborn. It's how people are descended from knights and senshi keep coming back." He said, looking inside the bottle as if this was so everyday that it trespassed into dead boring.
He chuckled at her poor rendition of everyday murder. "Well first off you don't go up to them and tell them you're going to kill them." He took another sip, depressed that his bottle was almost done. How was he almost done? ********. How drunk was he then?
"Well, if you have a problem with how things in the knighthood is run. Change it. Complaining is easy. Everyone does it. I can tell you now that every knight feels they know what's best and are not one to unit easily. Some have a few groups here and there but a lot of them are misinformed. They think we have to serve senshi. Stupid!" He said with a barking laugh.

"There's a Cauldron in space where... Ok. This is a little weird, but I'll accept it as given, because what the ******** about all of this ISN'T weird?" She closed her eyes for a moment, taking a slow, deep breath. Obviously, she was going to need to find a sober knight at some point, to clarify the points that he was giving her that she wasn't totally getting, or that his explanations left... details... out of. And her eyes opened at the next statement. "Tell that to the Negaverse agent who did JUST that to me in a park. Because the Man in Green, as I've thought of him sense, told me he was going to kill me. It was pretty straightforwards, in fact." She glanced at his bottle, and found herself wondering if, when they got back, she would need to take this man in to the hospital for alcohol poisoning. A whole bottle of whisky alone was a LOT of whisky. "If I knew where to start, I would. The problem with not knowing much of anything is that I have little clue of the organizational structure, or even if there is one. Give me time. I'll start looking for ways to fight, if I feel it's needed, when I know enough." She wasn't going to start trying to change things when she did not even fully understand what needed changing. "And SERVE Senshi? I'm no man or woman's servant, no slave, to serve at someone's command." Her brows came together, and she looked furious at THAT idea. She'd had enough of being an abused slave as a child. She was free of that, now. She would not go back to that.

He set the bottle aside and laid back on the pew, closing his eyes a moment.
"Well you met a dumb officer. No tact. You jump attack. So much easier. Surprise." He said, raising his hand vaguely up into the air as he talked.
"There ain't no organization. No one cares. So bad together. No meetings. No superiors. No punishments. Do what the ******** you want and be damn anyone else. It's trash."
The raised hand went back to his stomach as he laid there, eyes closed, and smiled. "Yeah. Senshi are garbage."

Oh great, he looked like he was about to pass out. Was she going to be trapped here all night while he snored? She really ********' hoped not, she had a tutoring student in the morning. Her brows rose at his words, her head tilted. "I see... You sound like you have personal experience of this, like you've done that before." But that made no sense... did it? Weren't the Knights not supposed to attack civilians? "Well that sounds like something that needs changing. We need organization, some clear sort of structure, I would think, because otherwise what is the ******** POINT? Is there a point?" She found the least dirty, and still stable, pew she could find, and sat gingerly on it. "You really don't like Senshi, do you?"

He shook his head, letting it roll back and forth on the pew as he laid there.
"Acting mighty. Acting just. Thinkin their immune to any evil. I've seen evil senshi. Lazy royals who do nothing. Wearin a uniform and not wanting to fight. Scared. Scared to make scarifies. To give. To fight. To realize this is a war."
He took a slow breath. "They need to be put in their place."

She blinked, listening to his every word, drinking them in. Not letting them push her opinions, oh no... She would not be willing to let that happen. She needed more information, more experience, more personal knowledge of things, before she made her mind up on what she believe, and who, and what she felt needed doing. But it was important to her to hear what others say, so she could see the picture they painted. Their experiences were important, too, and could help her understand things. "Mmmm I see. So many senshi, in your experience, would rather hide in the background and let others do the real work?" Her tone was non-judgmental, because she would rather he answer honestly. One positive side to his drinking, she supposed. Higher odds he was not covering his thoughts and feelings with lies. It was harder to do when drunk.

"MmmHmm." He agreed.
"They're scared. Told to fight a war. No idea why. No idea it's a lie. Just told to do their duty but on their own. Not united. No pulled together. No a force like the Negaverse who trains and holds meetings. So many of em patrol but just learn to hide. Makes 'em easy to attack.........corrupt............kill." He yawned and turned to his side. Cracking his eyes open, he looked at the pile of ashes a few feet away.
"You gotta know why you need to fight to have any drive and reason-en-enings to your sacrifices. Else what's the point?"
He closed his eyes again.

She listened to all of it. "Why is the war a lie?" That, of all the things he said, was the most important piece, the one she grabbed onto and held tightly. Because if the War was a lie, she needed to know. Needed to know how the lie would effect her, what it might change in her views of what they were doing. The rest mattered, but a lie? A lie at the heart of a war was huge.
